Maximum number of emails

Hello there, i just had implemented a small program to send emails via Java mail, and i have a question:
- What is the maximum number of e-mails that i can send once i run my servlet?
(I mean how many senders i can have in the same time)
Thank you for any response,
Regards Thomas

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Apologies for the delay in reply...hopefully you already have solved this, but just in case...
Please refer to this KB:
KB10305 Unable to receive email messages from an associated IMAP email account
Cause 7 may be useful!
I also tried searching for KBs that discuss mailbox size limits...yours is quite large, and may well exceed those limits. Unfortunately, my searching was not successful...but you may be more lucky:
http://btsc.webapps.blackberry.com/btsc/microsites/microsite.do
If you can find no values for this, you might try reducing the total number of emails in that mailbox to see if you can discover what the limit is. GMail accounts are tricky as they technically use just one big mailbox and no folders or anything, but rather flags to identify sorting and segregation of messages...but technically they all are in one place, just displayed differently. Hence, having so many messages there may be the cause of your issues.
Good luck and let us know!

  • ORA-20001: Maximum number of email messages per workspace exceeded

Greetings. We are running APEX 4.1.1. I have an application where we have to send out email messages to a list of emails. Currently there are 2469 email addresses. Originally we put the email addresses in the BCC but we received an error that we had exceeded the size limit of the BCC. So we modified our procedure to send one email at a time, in a loop.
Now we are receiving the following error message:
"ORA-20001: You have exceeded the maximum number of email messages per workspace"
Has anyone else run into this issue? What is maximum number or email messages per workspace? Is it a limit per day, per session?
We have not added emails to this table since last year, so the maximum number of email messages allowed may have changed recently?
I did find this Forum post that addressed the issue but no one responded:
How many mails i can send at a time per day using APEX mail system?
    Thanks,
    John

    Hi jfosteroracle,
You are getting the error may be the following reason,
    Check the following,
Login as ADMIN and Goto -->Manage Instance-->Instance Settings--> Mail-->Maximum Emails per workspace
Actually this number denotes the Number of mails can be sent per 24 hour for the workspace,It may exceeded.
    It may be the reason.
    Thank you.

  • Maximum number of emails supported in a folder

    Hi Guys,
What is the maximum number of emails you can in one folder on iPhone 5S?
We have a user whose Exchange mailbox is around 16.5GB and he has about 93K items overall and around 20K in the sent items. Intermittently he loses emails from his Sent Items going back to March 2010. Then it takes days to re-sync the Sent Items folders. This happens on his iPhone 5S(iPhone6C2/1104.257) and iPad2C1, we use Exchange Activesync.
    Thanks

The theoretical limit is the NTFS volume limit. This is provided in the below article.
    NTFS Physical Structure
However the practical limit depends on your application and business scenario. You can read about FILESTREAM and FileTable internals and about performance considerations from the below excellent article

  • Maximum number of email messages displayed in Mailbox?

Is 200 the maximum number of email messages you can display in any given Mailbox? I am trying to view an old email that was sent approx 3 months ago, which puts it about 600 or 700 email messages down in my Inbox. Hitting the "Load 50 More Messages" link doesn't appear to do anything if you already have 200 messages displayed in the Mailbox.

Forgot to mention that I am using a .Mac email account....

  • Maximum number of email addresses per user

I have a need to create a single mailbox with a large number of alias email addresses. I cannot find documentation on the maximum number of SMTP addresses that can be associated with a single user. Can someone point me in the right direction. Many thanks

    Hi David,
I've never heard of any restrictions about this, however, base on my search, I find a similar thread mentioned this question for your reference:

I could see one account with 1203 SMTP addresses. I cannot add more addresses, I get an error message when I try to add more. Maybe it is the limit. I´m still researching to be sure if it is a limit or not.The exchange is 2007.

Since yesterday I'm unable to send emails on any of my Apple devices. The revert is that I have exceeded the maximum number of emails per day, but I had only sent out 24 with no bulk emailing -  (much less than 1000 recipients as per the website) and I'm STILL not able to send emails. Any advice on how to solve this?

  • Is there a maximum number of emails you can store?

    Hi,
I am a 7-year blackberry user who is looking to purchase a 3g, but i have one question:
Can you only store a certain number of emails on the iphone? I seem to remember that with the first version, you couldn't have more than 100 emails per mailbox. It is important that I be able to search emails going back a year or two, as I have repeat clients (I would be using exchange) whose emails I need to revert to occasionally.
How is this possible on the iphone?
    Thanks,
    cp

Recommend the 16GB if your interest is more than Email, Music, Video, and Photographs for example. There are also a significant number of productivity as well as other applications that will run on the iPhone many are free. Factor in the cost of a Mobile Me Account which is a brilliant way of remotely [whilst you are out and about] keeping your Contacts and Calender in Sync. Mobile Me works with both Windows or a Mac Desktop. In my case one account keeps 2 x iPhones 2 x Vista 2 x XP and 1 x MacBook in Sync. Make sure that you have available a Wi-Fi Hotspot [I established one 802.11/n which also supports /g and /b which covers the of the above mentioned equipment. My Internet connection runs at 17Mbps and download allowance is 12GB per month then throttled to 64K]. This is very necessary so that you are not using 3G Airtime for downloads and you get better download and overall performance [Safari for example]. You need to manage 3G data downloads carefully if you want to avoid a bill for excess usage [dependent upon your plan]. If you are not careful you could end up with one that looks like you are purchasing the Telco. If you are receiving Emails at a Desktop you need to make sure that they are left on the Server for a period of time [in my case 5 days] so that they are also available to the iPhone. Battery life is an issue for some so you need to make sure that you have an Apple approved charger in your vehicle [assuming that you have one]. Battery life can be extended by switching of Location [GPS] as well as Wi-Fi Services when they are not in use. Appropriate Push and Fetch settings for Email, Contacts and Calender will also preserve battery life. You can have the iPhone clearing email from more than one Server so you can have one that is private and one that is business related. I have had my iPHone/s for 3 months and whilst others may have better GPS functionality, Camera Mega pixels in my view the iPhone blows everything else away. Some things that the iPHone does not currently support and that is a Video Camera or MMS. You can of course take a photo and email it to the recipient. If you read this forum and the issues raised by other subscribers it is very easy to form the view that you have to be computer literate or have some savvy to get the best out of the handset. Helpful if you are near an Apple Genius Bar I have one close by 10K's they were very helpful when I had an issue with the MacBook.

  • What is the maximum number of email aliases allowed?

I just tried to set up 2 email aliases via iCloud.com.  I already have one setup and wanted to add a further two, which should be allowed as it says I can setup 2 more at the bottom of the preferences pane.  I did delete an alias that I no longer used about a month or so ago.  I've created one new alias but when I go to create my second new one it flashes up with a message saying something about a waitng period? And that because I've just deleted an alias I've got to wait 7 days before I can setup a new one as I'm at my maximum?!
I'm not at my maximum, I've got 2 setup and it says I have one more to setup now but it won't let me do it.  I don't know why it's giving me this waiting period because I cancelled one of my old aliases ages ago.  Any ideas?

You are allowed three aliases. When you have three, and delete one, you have to wait 7 days before you can create another to replace it.
That's the theory. Several posters have complained that the 7 days has extended itself into several weeks, and I've not seen a solution as yet.

  • What is the maximum number of emails that can be sent at 1 time?

We are a business and need to send several thousand emails at one time. Can we do this or are we limited to 100 per hour, 500 per day, for example/

Thunderbird is email client software that runs on YOUR computer. It has nothing to do with limits or quotas. If there are any limits they would be set by your email provider. I suggest that you ask them.

  • What is the maximum number of emails I can convert to PDF at once?

I just purchased Adobe Acrobat Pro 11 and am trying to convert Outlook email folders to pdf.  My Inbox folder is about 2 gig in size.  If I select a specific sub-folder there is no issue; however, if I select the highest level (inbox) I get an error message file is too large.  Does anyone know the maximun file size allowed?

    Hi kevinv8462151,
I've seen reports that 10,000 emails is the limit, but I'm not sure whether that's an official limitation.

  • Maximum number of accounts allowed in Mail?

Here’s a unique one for you: Is there a maximum number of email accounts you can set Mail up to receive? I’m involved in three businesses, which means that between my personal accounts and professional ones, there are 25-30 different email accounts that need continued access to.
Can’t find anything in the documentation about this. Odd, I know.
Also, will the addition of more accounts slow or hinder the functionality of Mail (other than obviously increasing the time required to check that many servers)?
    Thanks in advance.

There is no limit that I am aware of. How many of them, if any, are IMAP? If there are a lot of IMAP accounts, then depending on certain settings, there might be some increase in time to check. Of course you should never check more often than every 5 mins, and and perhaps with this many account only every 10 minutes.
However, I have 10 accounts of mixed type, and no issue.

  • Is there a way to get the number of emails sent by a Workspace?

    Hi,
I know that there is a maximum number of emails that can be sent by workspaces that we can set in the admin panel.
But I wanted to know, is it possible to actually get that count? So we know how many emails were sent in a day on a given workspace?
    Thanks,
    Reginald

    Hi red_menace.
Thanks for you suggestion.  I tried it, but there are only three options:
    Show icons
    Show icon previews
    Show preview column.
Just wondering if it's the difference between Lion (I upgraded about two months ago) and earlier versions.

    Limits on Sending Messages
iCloud has several safeguards to ensure that only iCloud members can send messages using the iCloud outgoing mail server. Among these safeguards are reasonable limitations on:
The total number of messages you can send each day (200 messages)
The number of recipients to whom you can send each day (1000 recipients)
The maximum number of recipients per message (100 recipients)
The size of incoming and outgoing messages (20 MB)
You can send 10 emails to 100 people each in a day, for example, or 198 messages with, on average, 5 recipients (and five ninety-ninths).

I'll add that this can happen when snapshotting is used as a backup method. You can set max endpoints to 32 and still see the issue. Please ensure that you're backing up using the supported PowerShell commands: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh202170.aspx
and not just a snapshot of the VM. If raising max endpoints does not resolve the issue, try backing up with the management shell commands within a recurring scheduled task or try http://gallery.technet.microsoft.com/office/Backup-script-for-Lync-2013-aacbb9b9
. Then disable the snapshot ting for your front ends, bounce them one at a time, and ensure the data exports you've made are backed up as flat files.
