May i resize table, which right edge standing out of page/frame border

After pasting big table, its right edge is commonly outside of story frame. To resize the table we use cursor+shift key and slide right border to adjust a frame edge. Can we do it by script?

Place the cursor somewhere in the table to be resized and run the following script. It checks only if the cursor is in a table, nothing else -- it's very basic.

Best method to design a table which can point to two different entities

I have the following set of tables,
Dimension1, Dimension2, Dimension3
Dimension1 is dependant on the both Dimensions2 and Dimension3, however the data mapping with Dimension3 will be very sparse (say only 1% of data will be available remaining will be NULL). So in this case, per my understnading there are the following
options available,
Option1: Have two columns in Dimension1 table and link them to the respective dimensions (However as mentioned the column which will be mapped to Dimension3 will have very less values ~1%), and have some conditional check to make sure that one of these
two columns shuld always contain a value.
Option 2: Split the Dimension1 table into two tables and map them to the respective dimensions. This removes the NULL aspect however is this is a right thing to do as per the DB design good practices and normalization techniques.
Option3: Add one column (DimensionType) in Dimension1 table which will denote the type of dimension to which the data will be mapped into ('Dimension2' or 'Dimension3') and then add another column which will contain the actual ID and will map to both the
dimensions based on DimensionType column (logically, because physically you cannot map a single column to 2 different entities).
Which one of the above is a good design, also if we say either of option1 or option2 then what will be the case if Dimension3 will be dependant on a new dimension in future. Do we need to add a clumn or create one another table for this? Please let me know
the thoughts.

Any other thoughts? or should option1 be considered the best approach given the scenario. Also this implies that if there is going to be a new dependancy in future which does not fit into Dimension2 and Dimension3, the solution is to add a third column in

Yes any new dependency have to be represented by a new foreign key column
Now I'm getting one doubt
By new dependency do you mean a new related attribute? Are all these dimensions holding related attributes for the main entity?
If yes then you may merge them to a single dimension ie attribute table like format with a type column to indicate the type of attribute
Then you will always need only a single reference key (column) in your fact
Any new dependency will just be a new record addition in the table with a new type value

Join 2 tables which are not related with any primary-foriegn key constraint

How to join 2 tables which are not related with any primary key foreign key constraint.
Ex.Consider Table A has 5 columns->A_ID,A_Name,A_Address,A_City,A_Pin(Total 10 rows)
Table B has 5 columns->B_ID,B_Name,B_Adress,B_City,B_City(Total 30 rows)
From both the table i want the data,which i need to use in curosr to display finally as "Address Label".
Both the table are entirely different,but there can be some names of Table A which may come in Table B also,if the name,address and city is also same.That means same person in both the table.
So finally i want total number of distinct records(distinct data of Table A which is not in B+all the data of table B) to come under Address Label.
How can i write the select query for this condition?

The corresponding column types should be similar, if not exactly the same.
There's no problem if A_Name is VARCHAR2 (50) and B_Name is CHAR (30).
However, there will be a problem if A_ID is a NUMBER and B_ID is a TIMESTAMP.
You must have the same number of columns in all branches of the UNION.
If you want an ORDER BY clause, put it at the very end, after the last branch of the UNION.
You can use positional notation (where 2 means the 2nd column) like I did, or you can use names from the first prong of the UNION (such as A_Name).

Whenever you have a question, post a little sample data (CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements, relevant columns only) from all tables, and the exact results (formatted) that you want from that data.
You can concatenate all 5 columns into one VARCHAR2 column, if you want to.
You'll probably want to use RPAD (or simillar functions) to make the output line up nicely.
If any of the columns are not strings, use TO_CHAR to make string versions of them.
For example:
SELECT TO_CHAR (A_ID, '9999999')
     || '   '          -- leave a little space between the left-justified a_id and the right-justified a_name
     || RPAD (A_Name, 25)
     || RPAD (A_Address, 50)

Is there any standard SAP table which stores the license number assigned to a delivery item

Hi Experts,
This is in relation to license number assigned to a delivery item under ‘Export License Log’. Our scenario is for delivery of type NLCC created for an inter-company stock transport order. (i.e.not a sales order case where the license may get copied from sales order to delivery through copy control)
As we understand, for legal control – relevant scenarios, export license for each item shall be determined afresh every time the delivery is accessed. (Depending on legal regulation, grouping, destination country, export control class, delivery partners vis-à-vis license master customer assignments etc.)
To print the license text on one of the delivery output types, we want to access the license number for each item. (determined under export license log)
Our question is: is there any standard SAP table which stores the license number assigned to a delivery item?
We have checked some of the license tables (T606*, VAEX, EMXX etc.) but couldn’t get any specific table storing delivery-item-specific license data.

The export control log can be accessed by going to delivery Extras-> Export license log
We need a table that stores the determined license for each item in a delivery document ( as shown in the below screenshot)

Ideally you would be doing a set based processing rather than traversing row by row as thats more efficient. To answer it specific to your scenario we may need more info. Can you explain with some sample data your exact requirement?

What is the icon on the far right that looks like a circle and has a small number that changes depending on the website page? in the bottom right edge of

I am wondering what this thing is.
It is an icon located on the far right of the page next to the search toolbar. It is shaped like a circle with a number on the bottom right edge. The number changes depending on which tab I have opened. An empty tab has no number. This page results in a 1. I have another page open which results in a 4. The number shows white in a small orange box. The circle is outlined with a thick black line. What does this icon indicate?

Hi John, I'm guessing that icon is created and updated by an extension. I'm not sure which one, though. Maybe something that is tracking the trackers, like Lightbeam? Have you tried hovering your mouse over the icon to see whether a tooltip appears, or clicking it?

You're in luck. Create the first field and then right-click it (in Form Edit mode) and select Create Multiple Copies. You'll be able to specify how many copies of the fields to generate, and at what intervals. The nice thing is that although the properties of the new fields will be identical to the source one, they'll each have a unique name, so you'll get an instant "table" of fields.

I am unable to understand your exact requirement as if you need total of any transaction currency then there must be a criteria for the same like one want to add all currencies monthly/annually/weekly for reporting purpose and in this case you have to write a report and add currencies.No tables can hold such calculative recordes.
Please elaborate more so I can u'stand requirement.

2003 HD cinema display pinkish Hue round top right edge

Just bought a HD Cinema display 23" from ebay for £100 and it has a very slight pinkish hue around top right edge I could live with it only if it does not mean the LCD is dying?
Any reasons? is the display dying or possible ideas on how long it has left?

Well I called AppleCare yesterday and, believe it or not, we actually got the USB ports acting normally - well at least I can boot up with the keyboard plugged into the back of the monitor.
They had me reset the Open Firmware and that seemed to do the trick. Of course, the night before I updated to 10.4.10 so that may have had something to do with it, too. No idea.
As for the power sensor button thing, they wanted me to plug the monitor into a different system, either at a Genius Bar or a friend or whatnot to see if it would behave in the same manner - not wanting to activate. I took it to school with me and hooked it up to one of my teacher's G5 and it behaved the same way. It took like 15 times touching the sensor to bring the system up.
So I'll be calling them back and see where they want to go with this. Maybe I'll get lucky and get a new shiny monitor - or not...

CSS Drop down menu; how to align the right edge of drop down and parent menu?

Hello everyone,
I have a drop-down menu that is currently working well.
The only change I need to make is to have the right edge of the drop-down menu to align with the right edge of the parent menu. When you hover over the menu, it currently "drops" down and to the right, with the left edges aligned.
I want the menu to "drop" down and to the left, so the right edges are aligned.
I have tried fiddling with floats and absolute/relative positioning. I'm not sure what needs to be changed.
Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated! I'm learning via "cut and paste", so please go easy on any terminology you may use.

I want to fetch the data in the form of output from tables which I will mention in select options of the screen as input.
In selection screen option if I write any table name then how can i select this table in select query of ABAP program ?.
I may select any tables in select options of screen. But In select query I should get that table name automatically.. How ?
e.g. If i put table name as an input i.e. MARA in select option .
In program how to write select query to get records from that table ?

DB Tool List Table: How to access tables which are in different SQL database ?

Hi, All,
I'm working on a database application (SQL server) and is evaluating the NI DB Tool kit for this project.
One of the requirement is that I need to access tables which are in two different database
(say Table A in DB 1 and Table B in DB 2).
Our IT guys has linked Table A in DB1 to DB 2 and I verfied this when I use the SQL server managment studio.
When DB 2 tables are populated, Table A from DB1 is also there. I can also do the same thing using MS Access.
Table A in DB1 is avalaible to me enven though I only connect to DB 2.
Here comes the problem.
When I use DB Tool List Table.vi to access DB2, it does NOT list Table A in DB1. It only list the tables in
the database (DB2) which I make connection to (using DB Tool Open Connection.vi with a file DSN)
So my work around right now is to open two seperate connection to DB1 and DB2. However, this approach
obviously creates a problem when I have to access seperate database constantly in my application.
What would be a solution to this ? I've search the forum but only see one post that's somewhat related to
my question. (And it was posted on 2004) Perhaps I need to alter the code in the orignial VI (DB Tool List Table.vi)??
My IT guy told me he has not encountered this scenario since he writes codes in other enviroment such as
VB and others, and he's always been successful by linking tables to different database.
I hope my question is sound and clear since I really don't know much about database terminology.
Any comment/suggestion is much appreciated !!!

good to know because it will affect how you build your SQL statements.
Yes they are on separate instances.
- Ask your IT people specifically how they "linked Table A in DB1 to
DB 2". I assume they used "linked servers".
Maybe I used the wrong terminology "linked." They created a "View of Table A (DB1)" in DB2 using the management studio.
Here is a screen shot of that. As you can see, dbo.VISUAL_WORK_ORDER is seen under LABVIEW database in the management studio.
I also see the same table when I make connection to database using MS Access.
Could you elaborate on "configure your SQL statement correctly" =) ? The purpose of using LabView's took kit is so that I can do
minimum SQL statements. Are you talking about modifying LabView's native VI (DB Tool List Table.vi) ?

Bold lines appear around outside right edge and bottom of some pages.

Several pages now have bold lines around outside right edge, bottom and center of document. This bold line is also in center between pages in spread. None of the pages are showing automatic page numbers, and when I try and export to pdf, the pdf is blank. What have I done to create these bold lines? Why are pages not showing? Why does pdf appear blank?

Which version of ID and your OS?
We're going to need screen captures to see what you are talking about.
Is your content on layers marked non-printing? Does it disappear in InDesign when you switch to Preview mode?

Hi, The direct entitlement feature is only available to accounts that have the "Enterprise" level. At this time, setting up an integrator id, which lets the fulfillment server know what your endpoints are, is not a self-service operation. If you already have your direct entitlement server working you had contacted someone in our customer enablement team to setup your integrator ID. Please work with the same person to enable this integrator ID for the Content Viewer for Web. We plan to make this a self-service operation in the future. Thanks Joerg

How to identify that a host is connected to which particular edge switch

Can anybody explain how to identify that a host is connected to which particular edge switch and port in a Cisco SAN Fabric ??

Hopefully you know the host PWWN.
If the edge switch is not in NPV mode, get the FCID from the output of "show fcns database"
The answer may also be as simple as finding this entry in the "show fcns database detail".
If not, once you have the fcid, the first byte of the fcid is the switch domain ID. With the combination of "show fcdomain domain-list vsan xx" "show fcs ie" you should be able to determine what you need.
If the edge switch is in NPV and registers as a NPV device ( Cisco switches do ), then the FCID will be assigned by the core switch upstream of that edge switch. You can see this from a "show flogi database". Find the PWWN here. There will likely be multiple entries for the port where the host is connected. Once you find the port where the NPV switch is attached. The first flogi entry on that port will be the switch WWN. Get the FCID for the switch and then find the entry for this FCID in the "show fcns database detail", this will give you the switch information.
