MBP telling me to sign in to the App store with my old ID to update iMovie, but won't accept the old ID
My App store updates indicate iMovie needs to be updated. When I try to do so, it tells me I need to sign in with my old Apple ID, the one I had before the change to email addresses. But when I try to sign in with that old ID, it defaults back to the new email-based one. I can't find a way to get it to accept the old ID, so can't update this app for now, and I'm sure others down the road.
Help, please?
You can't, you can only purchase from your own country's store. You can try requesting that it be added to the Canadian store, but ultimately it's the record company that will have to grant Apple a license to sell it there : http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunes.html
Is it available on other music purchase download sites that you have access to ?

Can't sign in to Mac app store with known-good ID
I can't sign into the Mac app store from my mini. Everything else works fine (iTunes store, icloud.com) and I can log in to the Mac app store (and everything else too) on my Air. So, it's just the Mac app store and just from my Mac mini.
I rebooted. I deleted the "storeagent" preferences file. I reset the password (to the same one). Still won't work. It just says "unknown error."just the Mac app store and just from my Mac mini.
Try deleting the cache associated with the App Store.
Open a Finder window. From the menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type of copy paste the following:
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.appstore/Cache.db
Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Restart your Mac then try the App Store. -

i read this article App Store: Install the latest compatible version of an app
but is not for 6.1.6.That page applies to iOS 6. Download the current versions of those apps on your computer's iTunes so that they are in your account's purchase history, then go to the Purchased tab in the App Store app on your iPod and see if you can download a previous compatible version of them - you won't be able to download them if the developers of those apps don't support previous versions.

When I try to sign on to Mac App Store I get the message "Your device or computer cannot be verified" Yet I can sign on in iTunes no problem. I've tried all the suggestions from App Support but no luck. What am I doing wrong?
What troubleshooting techniques have you tried? Have you restarted the app? Have you restarted your computer?
One idea is to Trash this file; Mac HD/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/NetworkInterfaces.plist and restart. -
trying to update apps in the app store. My old apple id comes up. I've already signed in and out off itunes and the app store several times with the current id. still everytime i try to update the apps the old id comes up
Apps and their updates are permanently tied to the ID used to purchase them originally. It will always ask you for your old ID if they were purchased using that ID. The only way to stop this would be to delete them from your phone and your iTunes library, then repurchase them using your current ID.

recently my phone updated to ios 7, it wont let me sign into my iphone app store to download apps,i click on an app i want and it just clicks but doesn't start to download, i can see thats its not signed in so i tried to re set up my account under the app store in settings , but its just a grey area and wont let me click to input any information. this happened right after i updated my phone, any help?

You can log out of the account on the iPad by tapping on the id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and then tap 'sign out' on the popup - you can then sign in with your account/
If you synced any of your mum's apps to the iPad from your her computer then they will be tied to her account, so only her account will be able to download updates to her apps -
How do I use the App store with macbook pro and mac pro
I currently use the app store with the mac book, but want to buy (share?) apps and music with the mac pro.
I can't find anything that specifically outlines how this works.
I use SplashID with the macbook and an iPhone, and want to use it (and sync it) on the mac pro as well.
If you buy apps for a macbook, can you use them on a second machine, or do you need to buy it a second time?Your license from the MAS allows you to download and install the apps on as many Macs as you own or have under your control (institutional or employer supplied Macs.) The Mac should to be running Mac OS X 10.6.8 Snow Leopard or Mac OS X 10.7.2 Lion. Open the MAS app on the Mac Pro and sign into your account to have access to download all of your previous purchases in the Purchased pane.
Simple apps can also be dragged & dropped over a network connection from the MacBook to the Mac Pro. -
Bought used MBP - App store still sees old user
So, I have 2 apps that need updating. But when I go to update them on the App Store, it says log in to App store with the XYZ@gmail user account. Well, that's the former owner's account. I've logged in to the App store with my username, and I've changed the name of the MBP.... how do I get the app store to forget about the user account of the old
If the previous owner is the one who purchased and installed those two apps, they belong to him, not you. He sold you the computer and the OS it originally shipped with, not his Mac App Store account (or any later OS that might have been installed on that computer).
Wipe the hard drive and reinstall the latest OS to which you have access. That will make everything on the computer actually belong to you; nothing that belongs to the previous owner will remain. -
When updating some apps at the app store under an old apple id I get an error that id or password is wrong. How can one change an old id with a new id for these apps?
1. Launch the App Store
2. Select Store->Sign Out
3. Select Store->Sign In and replace the Apple ID with the one you want to use -
Remote app on my iOS devices control my apple tv, but won't turn my newest gen apple tv on when i open the app. It used to turn my previous gen apple tv on. Remote app controls apple tv just fine once i turn it on with the provided remote control. Help?

I bought a Mac Book Pro retina display, Serial Number C02J*****2, on 8/11/2012. Unfortunately, I am unable to download updates from the App store.Whenever I tried to download updates, it shows me an error message, "we could not complete your request. there is an error in the App Store. Try again later (100). Your Apple ID has been disabled, contact iTune support". However,the problem still persists even after my password has been successfully reset. What is is the error in the app store? I really need help to resolve this issue.
Moreover,I also need help how to update to the mountain lion free of charge as my Mac pro is four(4) days old.

I was initially in the UK apps store and i switched to the USA apps store with a $15 itunes gift card because my credit card from the UK expired..since the switch i couldn't find my previous purchases in the UK store,, now i'm back in the UK and want to switch back using a £15 itunes gift card but whenever i try to switch, itunes tells me i still have credit on my existing US gift card, meanwhile i only have $0.22 which can't buy anything at the apps store..how dow i clear up the balance and switch to the UK apps store...HELP!!!
You might just have to contact Apple and ask them to remove it (losing it). Usually people clear a balance by buying one song and having the exact remainder charged to their credit card, but if you don't have a US credit card you cannot do that.

Just got an e mail to say that my Apple ID was just used to download photoshop touch for phone for 2.99 from the App Store with a receipt number. Is this a scam for me to give my Apple ID?
No but there's a link to reset your password. Etc etc..
