MDM Java connect fails

Hi all,
i'm trying to connect to the MDM Server with this Code:
          CatalogData catalog = new CatalogData();
          catalog.Login("192.192.192.192", 2000, "user", "pass", "German [DE]");
          int resultLogin = catalog.GetReadyStatus();
          if(resultLogin != RC.RC_OK){
               System.out.println("Error logging into MDM server: " + resultLogin);
               System.exit(-1);
          System.out.println("Logged into MDM server.n");
But i always geht the returncode "2" (resultLogin), and 2 stands for RC_False (dont know what is false)
Any ideas?
Thx for help
Edit: ok i enabled the log file and get the errorcode:
      RC_BADCRC = -2147352562;

Hi,
This often happens when the version of MDM4J is different to the MDM Server version. You should always use the same versions.
If this is not the problem, I will try to help you further.

    I suspect root cause is with Java not Oracle.
    Oracle RDBMS does NOT speak any "protocol" except SQL natively.

    The applet is in the same directory as the ASP. It is a NT 4 (SP6) server. The applets loaded and ran fine with jdk1.3. Do I need to do something different in my ASP, or IIS setup to allow java applet HTTP connection in JDK1.4?
    Thanks!

    I have the exact same problem but have yet to find a solution.
    It works fine in 1.3 but fails occasionally in 1.4. If I refresh the browser several times it eventually
    loads.

  • Java.io.IOExcetion :open HTTP Connection Failed

    Hi Everybody,
    I'm getting the java.io.IOExcetion :open HTTP Connection Failed error when I'm trying run a html page with an embedded Applet in it.
    We are having a proxy server and all our network traffic have to be done through proxy.
    But in Browser we give exemption to local host.
    When I run the html file outside JDeveloper keeping it in the same directory in which the Applets class file is : I'm getting the Applet running.
    But If I run the html page From JDeveloper , I'm getting the above said error.
    My JRE is configured to use Browser settings and the browser is set to use the proxy.
    Why are applets not able to connnect to the sever?
    How to make Jdeveloper connect to proxy?
    Thanking you for the answer?

    I am trying to execute an applet, but ocorrs the following errors:

    Why don't open HTTP connection???

    It's not difficult understand the topic.
    The actual DNS resolution implementation of Java is faulty.
    It's the ONLY service in my Windows machine that couldn't do a correct DNS resolution, stand alone application, Internet Explorer and Mozzilla web pages with applet-
    If i use IPs all go fine... when i use domain java fail.
    ALL java... non only applet. Also Java Web Start fail.
    I controlled proxy, there isn't. i say to java to do a direct connect.
    The only thing in my net configuration of strange is the router, a zyxel 660hw... nothing else... my pc work fine with all the rest of the programs that use IPs. Only java is faulty.

  • Java API Failed to authenticate the user session with LDAP

    I have created a Java class that uses the MDM Java Api's it works fine on our Development environment where the MDM server uses its own built in authentication, but when I moved it to our QA environment where MDM use LDAP for authentication its failed with a  'Failed to authenticate the user session'.  Has anyone seen this before?

    hi Dan,
    The java class which u have created that suppose to works fine on MDM server because to execute that program there are no requirement of such protocols, the problem u will face while exporting those program to an client machine
    LDAP(Lightweight Directory Access protocol) connector communicates with the SAP system using RFC and with the directory server using these standard communication protocol.
    so try to select the protocol such that it should help in making connection between the server,direcotryserver and the client machine through which u can execute u r java class using java Api's.
    i hope this will give u an idea to through ur problem.

    This is my code-
    IConnectorGatewayService cgService = (IConnectorGatewayService)
                   PortalRuntime.getRuntimeResources().getService(IConnectorService.KEY);
              ConnectionProperties prop =
              new ConnectionProperties(request.getLocale(), request.getUser());

                        ResultSetDefinition rsd = new ResultSetDefinition("Customers");

              Search search = new Search("Customers");
              A2iResultSet rs = null;
                             rs = catalog.GetResultSet(search,rsd,"Name",true,0);
    response.write(rs.GetFields().toString());
    Have i missed anything?
    Should i deploy any .jar file? (i've already deployed MDM4J.jar) and referenced it in portalapp!
    Thanks in advance
    SwarnaDeepika

    Hello Swarna:
    I believe than rather than deploying the MDM4J.jar, you should deploy this components:
    com.sap.mdm.tech.mdm4j.sda
    com.sap.mdm.tech.connector.sda
    BPMDMTECHN00_0.sca
    BPMDMAPPLI00_0.sca
    Once you deploy those, you should have no problems. Another solution would be to take your MDM4J.jar and wrap it into an SDA, then deploy, but that would be pretty much the same.
    Those components are included on your MDM CD. Please ensure you use the same Version/support package/hotfix all over your landscape.
    I hope that helps
    Alejandro

    When we start our system from MMC console we can see all process in green but work processes are in RUN state and after a few minutes they goes down with the following error

    Natalia, this system was not resored nor copied, it was up and running before kernel update. We did some of the tests you said and someothers, here are some outputs.
    We update kernel to release 142

  • Beans connectivity fails in CR Developer

    Hi,
    I hope this is the right place to ask. We are currently testing CR 12 with Java beans as a data source, but somehow it won't work. I did set up the Java connectivity like it was described in "crxi_java_bean_connectivity.pdf", i.e. set the classpath and created a class that provides a java.sql.ResultSet from a static method.
    When I try to add the bean connectivity in CR Developer by entering "com.example.sub.pckg.MyClass" in the wizard, CR adds the class as a data source but it doesn't find the ResultSet providing method.
    Removing the package/path yields the following error:
    Failed to open the connection. Details: Unexpected error
    Logon failed.
    And it doesn't show the name of my connector class in the dropdown box of the wizard in the first place. What may have been gone wrong? Perhaps it's a bug? Any help is appreciated.
    Kind regards, P. Müller.

    I've seen this sometimes happen if there are other classes in the javabeans classpath folder that do not involve returning back resultsets.  What appears to happen is that Crystal Reports goes through all the jars / classes in that folder, and if it runs into something it doesn't understand, it doesn't process the rest of them (This is what appears to happen).
    The solution has been to remove all other classes and jars except for the specific class that returns back the resultset.

  • Scenarios working although SLD connection failing

    I have a   R/3 (IDOC) -> XI -> R/3(Abap server proxy), running in production mode,
    the scenario is running fine, but if i do a SLDCHECK in the System, it gives following result:
    1. Properties of RFC destination SAPSLDAPI: OK
    2. Testing the RFC connection to the SLD java client...
    RFC ping was successful
    3. Calling function LCR_LIST_BUSINESS_SYSTEMS
    Retrieving data from the SLD server...
    Function call returned exception code     4
    => Check whether the SLD is running!
    4. Summary: Connection to SLD does not work
    => Check SLD function and configurations
    the issue is the point 3 and 4, becasue the function module LCR_LIST_BUSINESS_SYSTEMS is giving error, the error we found on debuging is the user used in SLDAPICUST, which is continuosly getting locked due to some reasons...
    *BUT the real concern is....how are the scenarios as described in the first 2 lines, running,
    Is the SLD connection failing, not hampering my scenarios ?*
    pls help

  • Reading Inbox - javax.mail.MessagingException: Connect failed;

    I get an error message while trying to read emails by connecting to a company mailbox. The message is as follows:
    javax.mail.MessagingException: Connect failed;
    nested exception is:
         java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: no further information
         boolean com.sun.mail.pop3.POP3Store.protocolConnect(java.lang.String, int, java.lang.String, java.lang.String)
         void javax.mail.Service.connect(java.lang.String, int, java.lang.String, java.lang.String)
         void javax.mail.Service.connect(java.lang.String, java.lang.String, java.lang.String)
         void GetMessageExample.main(java.lang.String[])
    The code is very simple and as follows:
    import java.io.*;
    import java.util.Properties;
    import javax.mail.*;
    import javax.mail.internet.*;
    import javax.activation.*;
    public class GetMessageExample {
    public static void main (String args[]) throws Exception {
    String host = "companyname.com";
    String username = "user";
    String password = "xxxx";
    try{
    // Create empty properties
    Properties props = new Properties();
    // Get session
    Session session = Session.getInstance(props, null);
    // Get the store
    Store store = session.getStore("pop3");
    store.connect(host, username, password);
    // Get folder
    Folder folder = store.getFolder("INBOX");
    folder.open(Folder.READ_ONLY);
    BufferedReader reader = new BufferedReader (
    new InputStreamReader(System.in));
    // Get directory
    Message message[] = folder.getMessages();
    for (int i=0, n=message.length; i<n; i++) {
    System.out.println(i + ": " + message.getFrom()[0]
    + "\t" + message[i].getSubject());
    // Close connection
    folder.close(false);
    store.close();
    } catch (Exception e) {
    e.printStackTrace();
    I have a two part question:
    1. At home I am using a dial-up connection it works when I change the settings to an email account as provided by the local ISP.
    I have tried it with both "pop3" and "imap" in
    Store store = session.getStore("pop3");
    for the company email but it does not work.
    Is this a problem with company security? Maybe firewall/proxy error? If so how do I get around it?
    2. Also, when I am in the office (LAN used to connect to Internet) I cannot even get a connection to the ISP account - similar problem or different?
    Any thoughts and help most appreciated.
    Thanks in advance,
    Mark

    It could be that the mail server is not accepting connections from the machine you are on. Have you tried using Outlook Express or the Netscape email client to connect to the server/account from the machine that is getting the failure?

    Do we need to relase the connection pool object also?
    Can anyone help me with the code how that can be achived?
    Please Reply if anyone has come accross similar issue or know what can be the solution.

    Hi Nitin,
    Thanks for the prompt Response.
    Even I am guessing that its becose of Connection pool.
    I am destroying session as follows
                   DestroySessionCommand destroySessionCommand =
                   new DestroySessionCommand(p_pool);
              destroySessionCommand.setSession(p_repsession);
              try {
                   destroySessionCommand.execute();
              } catch (CommandException e) {
                   e.printStackTrace();
              destroySessionCommand.setSession(p_Uesrsession);
                   try {
                        destroySessionCommand.execute();
                   } catch (CommandException e) {
                        e.printStackTrace();
    But I didnot find any method by which i can close realsse connection from connection pool.
    It would be great if you can help me how close or realese those connection.In MDM Console i am able to see those sessions even after destroying them.
