MDPH: Add variant family, make required or not, set values relevant or not

I have this requirement to allow user to create Planning profiles like in tcode MDPH but based on input from excel file.
So, there should be the possibility to mark newly added characteristics as 'Required' or 'not Required' and values as 'Relevant for planning' or irrelevant.
I'm looking for a FM or BAPI to do this, as Batch Input would be a tragedy, and I don't want to mess directly with tables:
TPHVP, TPLVP (field ATERF - required flag), TPSVP (PL_REL - relevant for planning)
because there are also some updates on MRP tables DBVM and DBVL I don't understand ( sometimes with 0 records updated ).
So far I have found only FM M60V_PROFIL_CREATE but it only allows me to create a profile without the relevant part.
Any help appreciated.

The only way a family member can use their own funds and not the Organizer’s account for purchases would be with store credit, such as an iTunes gift card.

After you set up your family, any time a family member initiates a new purchase it will be billed directly to your account unless that family member has gift or store credit. First, their store credit will be used to pay the partial or total bill. The remainder will bill to the family organizer. How to make dynamic actions using Set Value work in all browsers?

I’m having a cross-browser incompatibility issue with dynamic actions using Set Value. The dynamic action works like a charm on Chrome but has no effect on either IE or Firefox. The code in oracle.apex.com and here are the credentials:
Workspace: DDBA
Username: [email protected]
Password: redtruck12
These code is on page 3 and here are the details:
There are two report lists (Standard and Special) and some of the reports require additional information supplied in either select lists or text boxes.
If the user selects a Standard report requiring a select list/text box, then the dynamic action sets the value of Special Reports to NULL (and vice-versa).
The dynamic action is to prevent a simultaneous selection of both the Standard and Special reports. To see how it works on Chrome, do this:
Run Page 3
Select the ‘Report for Search Criteria’ option from the Standard Report list. A ‘Search Criteria’ text box appears
Select the ‘Report by Release’ option from the Special Reports list. A select list appears and the ‘Search Criteria’ text box disappears.
If you do the same things on IE or Firefox, the text box does not disappear.

Things are going wrong with setting the item values to NULL. If you check your session state, you'll see that in chrome your items values indeed will be set to null, but in firefox they won't.
Also I've noticed that you don't reset the other input fields, so their values persist in the session state. Since you submit your page every time you change one of the report select lists, this might lead to unexpected behaviour. Lastly, I've noticed you use a sql exists expression to manage the display/hide of your page items. A condition of type "Value of expression 1 = expression 2" causes less overhead as you don't need to switch to the db sql engine for every item to validate.
I'd suggest you rethink your specs and try to create:
- One dynamic action (since a value of standard select excludes the value of special select, and vice versa)
- Set the values for hidden items to null, also in session state
- Use a refresh of region as extra event in your dynamic action, instead of submitting your page for every change.

Create a value node called "ColumnVisibility" ( <b>with cardinality 1:1 </b>) under the root context.

Hello BDAqua, thanx for the suggestions. Before I saw this reply I tried to first quit the finder and then to relaunch the Finder but that resulted was a blank gray screen.
In the end I ended up having to power down the iMac.
Fortunately the RAID array that was "active" seems to be fine and also has a firewire 800 connection so I can use it_ just not with thunderbolt until this issue is solved.
I'm going to check in the Applications>Utilities>system log to see if any clues are evident_ thank you for the suggestion.
PS: Nothing of note was obvious as a root cause in the Activity Monitor though.
hmmm....I was told that the Helios and seritek card were compatable and that the Helios didn't require any drivers..it will be a drag if there isn't an easy fix for this since this new PCIe card from seritek is the first to offer port multiplier compatibility for eSATA to thunderbolt...since they are both new I'm hoping that an OS upgrade will be the fix (presently7.2)...we shall see.

Before I updated to OS X Mavericks I was using another external disk that was getting disconnected ocasionally so I bought a new ADATA HD710 portable 1TB Drive and moved the files to it. This new drive which is supposed to be OS X Mavericks compatible takes minutes to show the files especially when opening second and third level folders which has made mu iMac unusable
What should I do?

Your Mac should be able to recognize many different types of drives (including Windows-formatted drives) immediately for Reading, provided they are in good working condition and not damaged. There should be no need to transfer to a different type of drive.
If there is no recognition of this drive, see if it can be seen in Disk Utility.
If your aim is to transfer the data on it DO NOT use ERASE or PARTITION as these will completely erase all the information on the Drive.
If the drive is present while the Mac sleeps, it is likely to drop out and not be seen any longer, especially if it is a USB-powered drive.

JTable - make first column not scrollable

I like to know using one JTable and JScrollPane to make it generically not scroll for the first column.
Do you set the viewport to start at the second column, if so how?

"Add to Shooping cart" button does not work when changing Product Category

Dear all, we are running SRM 4.0 Classic scenario and we have a strange problem with Product Category field. When click on the "Describe Requirement", it opens the shopping cart page with the Product Category field and the default value is coming from favorites. As long as you dont change this value , enter the other fields and click on the "Add to shopping cart" button, then it works. If the users try to change this value on this page to select a different value from the drop down, then the "Add to Shopping Cart" button does not work. Has anyone encountered this problem before. Users are getting frustrated with this behaviour. Any help to fix this issue is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Dear Disha, this is what is the behaviour.
Suppose, if for a particular user, there are 4 items listed as favorites in the Product category and one of them is a default value. If you don't make any changes to this value and then click on Add to Shopping Cart, it works. If you try to select a different value other than the default from the favorites, then the Button does not do anything.You click on it nothing happens and cannot go to the next page. Also all the links are disabled (ie Describe Requirement / Old Purchase Order and Template)
If we dont change the value for Product category and go to the next page (with default value) and then change the Product category here, it works (Continue button works and were able to Order or Hold).

I do not want to use IE! I presume it has something to do with Adobe DLM as ever since then it is not working.

I had this problem for a couple weeks as well and it was extremely frustrating considering we use firefox for all our company tasks. Here is the solution:
First of all if you have no bookmarks you want to save, then go directly to step 7. If you want to save your bookmarks first, then follow these steps.
1. Shut down the computer
2. Reboot and open firefox
3. Go to Task Manager, right click firefox.exe, and click END PROCESS TREE
4. WAIT 30 SECONDS! Then Double-click the shortcut to try and open firefox again
5.Repeat steps 3 and 4 until firefox finally opens (trust me, eventually it will)
6. Once it finally opens, backup your bookmarks,
7. Download a copy of firefox from there website
8. Uninstall from programs menu and make sure to check the box REMOVE ALL COMPONENTS
9. install the new copy and BOOM! it works
If it doesn't work, you're an idiot. If you don't want to reinstall firefox, then you're out of luck. Good Luck!

HT6389 How do family members in Family Sharing download a Not Shareable App for their own account?

I have downloaded an app (Uber) in the past, but my wife has not. I set up Family Sharing with my wife. Uber is set as a Not Shareable app, and the problem is that my wife can't download the app even when she goes to it in the app store. It shows the iCloud icon as if she already downloaded it, even though she hasn't, and she gets an error when trying to download it. Turning off Family Sharing also did not solve the problem (although I did not wait that long, and maybe I need to wait longer after disabling family sharing). But there should be a better way for her to get the app than switching off family sharing.

Thanks for the responses. I actually ended up turning off Family Sharing because I found this to be really annoying, and for other reasons. I was able to download Uber for my wife from iTunes on her PC laptop with Automatic App Downloads turned on on her iPhone.
The other problem I'm having, and the reason I switched off Family Sharing, is with store credit. I have a lot of gift card credit on my account, but when my family makes purchases, the gift card credit is not deducted first before charging my card. Not sure if there is a way to change that but I couldn't figure it out.

How to add new email account that's not an email account?

I have Google Apps for business account and I've created a bunch of aliases that I need to have, let's take as an example info@<mydomain.com>. When I've tried to create gmail account info@<mydomain.com> I was getting info that this email address is already in use. At the Google support they told me that's because I already created this as an alias, which I get it, that make sense. But now, how can I create this - info@<mydomain.com> in Thunderbird to be displayed as separate mail account in my mail account list in the left window? This and all the rest of aliases I'm using. There is no such thing in tools->account settings as add an alias, there is only add mail account and this is not an account but an alias. I thought I'll try to do this as a new mail account with all the settings as this already existing mail account that this is alias of and after that I just rename the account into proper one but when I try to fill all the boxes in adding new mail account I'm getting the massage that user name or password is wrong. But I've triple checked the password and it's the right one. I've even changed then and typed new settings just to make sure but the error was the same. How and what should I do then?

You can have more than one email address using the same server settings.
eg: ''mail at mydomain dot com'' and ''info at mydomain dot com''
can be two separate mail accounts, each receiving their own mail.

This can be used as a catch all account, so if you already had a mail account for eg: ''mail at mydomain dot com''
you could add another identity = ''info at mydomain dot com''
This would not show in the Folder Pane as a separate account, but emails from ''info at mydomain dot com'' would be received into
''mail at mydomain dot com'' mail account.

Moved Music to New Hard Drive - Required folder not found??? pls help

I have recently purchased a new external hard drive as my crappy Dell was full to the brim with music.
I have moved all my music files over to the hard drive and re installed itunes.
Now when i drag my music folder into the itunes library it updates but the shortly after an error message occurs that says:-
'Itunes Libray music file cannot be saved. Required folder not found'
Previously i have saved my itunes folder within my music folder?.
Now everytime i close down itunes all my music has gone from it!??
Any suggestions....sorry if being really ignorant..not too profficient on computers..

I think itunes by default looks inside you my music folder. In the itunes preferences screen there is an option to select a new folder to your library. Change the path to the music folder on your external drive. Make sure to always have the drive turned on before launching itunes though.
You may also be able to replace the my music folder with a shortcut to the music folder on the external drive. This behavior may not work in windows though so I'm not sure.

Family Sharing On Mac Not work

I've 2 account (A1 and A2)
A1 is the organizer account and A2 is a parent account.
I've added A2 into A1 family.
I can not view any purchased A1 app or book or music in A2 account (A1 uses mac, iphone, ipad / A2 uses mac).
Alse A1 can not view any A2 app downloaded.
If i try to buy an app with A2, the app store ask my payment method (A2 is a new account create today). But i've understood that A2 should use the A1 payment method.
from A2, if i log in into www.icloud.com can view A1 devices in "find My Iphone" (and A1 can see A2 device).
if i go on A2 mac to system preference->icloud->family i can see A1 email near "family purchase". is it right? (anyway i cannot edit it for 89 days!!).
Anyone can help me?

Sorry to be just adding another me too comment, but me too!
I can approve the download of free apps, but gave our daughter an iTunes credit and temporarily allowed in app purchases, I get the approval request but clicking the link does nothing on iPhone or iPad and on the Mac just adds another request exactly the same, so I have a list of notifications, all the same.
Do Apple check these posts or does anyone know if we need to contact support directly?

IPod cannot be synced. Required file not found?

I havent had any trouble syncing my ipod until last week when i purchased a song. When i dragged the song to a playlist on my ipod, it appeared grey in my playlist (because it was still loading) and then disappeared. I repeated this until i gave up and I reported this as an issue to itunes. When i tried again it worked and i thought maybe the problem had fixed itself, but i tried to add a CD to my ipod a few days ago and it only synced half of the songs. Now when i try to sync the leftover songs an error box pops up saying "The iPod (name of ipod) cannot be synced. Required file not found."
Some songs will sync perfectly normal, some load but disappear, some eventually just sync, and some won't sync at all. Has anyone had this problem/ can anyone help SOLVE it? please and thank you!!!

Try this:
Let your iPod charge up.
Attempt to sync a large play list.
When the iPod shuts down and you get the error message, quickly click through the dialog boxes on iTunes so when the iPod comes back up iTunes will attempt to sync again.
When the sync starts again after the iPod reboot, click the little X in the bar that shows how many tracks have been loaded. This will stop the sync and you'll be able to eject your iPod.
After it's been ejected, unplug the connector from the iPod and see what happens to the battery indicator. Mine goes down to almost gone and red - then after a few minutes it comes up to about 2/3 strength - but it should be full after being fully charged and just syncing a few hundred tracks.
