  • Report Layout modification problem

    Hi!!! Friends,
I have developed a report in Report 6i on version 6.0.8.11.3 and tried to open and modify it on version 6.0.8.18.3. In that case if I move the edit margin of the report a bit then after running the report I am getting the following error
    Error :-
REP - 1352 The fonts specified for this report cannot be found for the character set specified by NLS_LANG.
Could any one help me to get rid of this problem?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Sanjeev

Pls try this (Assuming this is Solaris OS)
Cause may be that NLS_LANG might not be matching with the entry in Tk2Motif.rgb (Pls search for this file in $OH)
Change Tk2Motif*fontMapCs entry to reflect correct character set.
If NLS_LANG is WE8ISO8859P15, then the entry
    should be:
    Tk2Motif*fontMapCs: iso8859-15=WE8ISO8859P15
    Thanks

  • Report layout modification

I have a standard program in which I need to customise the output. Right now it is displaying the output of the report in 4 rows and I want to display the output in one single line in ALV format. The report which I am trying to customise is RM06EL00 and the output currently displayed is like below.
1.)PO Type Vendor Name PGp Order date
2.) Item Material Short text Mat. group
3.) D I A Plnt SLoc Order qty. Un Net Price Curr. per Un
4.) SL del. date Sched. qty. Un
and what I want is something like this
1.)PO Type Vendor Name PGp Order date Item Material Short text Mat. group D I A Plnt SLoc Order qty. Un Net Price Curr. per Un ....
I copied the RM06EL00 to ZRM06EL00 I tried debugging the program to find out where the internal table for final display is being populated but couldnt find it. Any pointers on how to achieve the same .

    Hi Anjur,
You follow the following steps to find out where exactly  the internal table for final display is being populated   :
    1. Go to perform end_of_selection(sapfm06l) in the main prg RM06EL00 ( at line 115, col 16)). Double click on this.  It will take you to form end_of_selection
    2. Double click on perform start_via_table_manager in the form   end_of_selection.
    3. you will reach form start_via_table_manager . In that you will see function ME_REP_START_VIA_TABLE_MANAGER .
double click on this fm .
4.( In menubar   Goto - > Main Program . It will take you to the main program SAPLMEREP.
    4. Double Click on the include lmerepfxx.
    5. You will see a lot of includes . Double cklick on the include lmerepi02.
    6. IN this  include lmerepi02, you will find out the required internal table, where you have to populate the data.

  • Report layout - ME2N - Automatic background job

    HI all
We are using the above report for Pending PO-RElease ie., dynamic selection - release indicator "B"  thru automatic background programme schedueld thru SM36 (after setting the variant) for the relevant/concerned users.
The issue is, the report layout be default standard sap layout is taking, actually i have saved layout as PO no & date, but always, whenever background job is run, default sap report is taken in HTML.
request kindly help how i can ensure my our report layout for backgrounds jobs thru ME2N or is there any other report which can give the pending PO-Release report for my requirement.
    thanks in advance
    regards
    srihari

I am doing same as suggested by you for all other reports, but i am not successful with ME2N, because after having your own default layout, but for background it is default taking sap report. even i have tried to delete the sap - std report format but not allowed.
if any one knows how to change the sap-default std report layout then also it's okay for us, as default report as 15 columns whereas we need only max 5 columns in report layout
    thanx in advance
    regards

  • Oracle bi publisher report for apex - Report Layout

    Hi There,
    Navigation: Home>Application Builder>Application 20>Shared Components>Report Layouts
I created rtf template for a Report Query. It worked fine upto certain point.
However at some point, if I make a minor modification to the layout it is not displaying all the data that it is supposed to.
I have 3 tables in my RTF template 1) Header 2) Details 3) Summary. Details section has a group. This runs fine.
Now if I just combine all the above 3 tables into one by adding row above and row below to the "2) details" table and moving the table 1 and table 3 into those rows, makes the data in the group in table 2 disappear when run on the apex application.
However it works fine when data is loaded on the RTF template and Preview --> PDF is seen.
Is it a known bug? Because some of my coleagues has same issues.
    Thanks

Are those fields in the corresponding report query? change to the design of the document? did you delete the old template and re-upload after making the changes?
Moreover the preview on the RTF template works fine with the same data.Preview from where?

  • Crystal Report Layout asking for Login Info

I have modified the Delivery Note Crystal Report Layout for Business One by clicking the Edit button on the Report and Layout Manager for Delivery Note (Items).  I then saved my modifications to a file.  Finally, I go into Business One and import the Layout for Delivery Note (Items).  When I preview the Layout it asks me for login information then continues to fail.  How dow I make it so I can print the Delivery without having to constantly log in?

    Hi Jeff,
I recently had a similar problem on an 8.82 implementation, having contacted and spoken to SAP Support multiple times these suggested fixes worked:
The request to login to the database when you open or print preview a Crystal
report is a known issue. To resolve this, I recommend you go through our Root
Cause Analysis (RCA) guide. Please see attac hed Note 1676353 on where to find
this. There are four Cases in this guide (which contain a number of Influences)
    - please go through all Cases and Influences.
    We also tried the following:
    STEP 1:
Influence 2: Case 2 is to clear all the data for login (e.g. sa and
password - delete them) and then ticked 'Integrated Security#.
    - Influence
3: #: Check the current datasource is to update connection.
    - Retest opening
the system reports on a workstation.
    - If they are still reporting an error
    try the next step
    - STEP 2:
    - Change the datasource location of
the report from OLE DB to SAP Business One type and leave the
    authentication
information blank. Try running the report in Crystal, and then import to SAP.
And also opened up the Crystal Report via the Edit button in SAP in Reports and Layouts Manager, we then clicked on the database connection and updated all the tables (even though they were the same) and these got the reports needed working. Speaking to SAP it is a known bug and they are releasing a hotfix to resolve it, but try explaining that to a customer !!!
    Hope these help.

  • Custom Report Layout in APEX 3.0 PDF

How much freedom do we have when developing a custom report layout using BI Publisher when we create the template file using the Word XML add-on?
Why I am asking is, I am trying to replicate several Crystal based reports that use multiple lines of for data. They group on several columns and display the grouped data on separate lines in the report.
Grouping 1 Line one has customer detail information
Next grouping 1 or more lines are provider of service line information
Last Line count of detail lines for customer
Or would I be better off porting these reports to Oracle Reports?
    Thank you!

Marc, I was able to create reports based on a layout and a report query...Is it possible to let the end user (not apex developers) download the report layout, make modifications and load it again. They will only be changing the text and very rarely will modify the fields..

  • How to edit report layout

I have a report layout and noticed there is 'Column Template Width'. The content of column Template width is '<fo:table-column column-width="#COLUMN_WIDTH#pt"/>'.
I think i can change column width by modifing the code here. Does anyone know how to do it? Can you share with me your sample?

If you modify an existing template, the changes will immediately go into effect across your application.
    That being said..
    1) Create a copy of the template.
    2) Modify an existing report to use the template copy by setting the appropriate template in the drop-down selection.
    3) Now you can start experimenting with individual settings.
In the report template, there is a section where you can alter individual column designs such as the width. Normally, HTML will variably size the width of columns in a table to "fit" the contents on one line (if possible) and so that the entire table width can be displayed in the browser. If this is not possible the browser selects some middle point. If you wish to override the browser and manually set the column widths, you can use the Column Template Width setting to designate this. Simply replace "#COLUMN_WIDTH#pt" with your value: "80pt" for a fixed, 80pt width column.
For more on column widths and other HTML standards, check out the w3schools.com site for great tutorials and demos.

  • Merging Report Layouts.

    H,
I have a question relating managing modifications in report layout files.
Is there any successful way to  to merge two report layouts? (as in merging source code).
Typical example  . merging a two modified versions of the same layout, as we would do in any other source code?
Any tooling suggestions? Any ways to do the merge semantically that changes get reflected and .RDL and the end result is a valid working .RDL?
    Regards
    Asitha Weerasinghe.

    Hi Asitha,
According to your description, you want to find a tool to merge RDL files, right?
In Reporting Services, there is no tool can merge two RDL files directly. In your scenario, if you want to get expected results based on the two reports’ layout, I would like to suggest you design a new report with the same settings as those two reports.
If you have any question, please feel free to ask.

  • ME2N report displaying more columns in Background than foreground.I want same columns in Background as Foreground

    Hi All,
ME2N report displaying more columns in Background than foreground.I want same columns in Background as Foreground having 10 columns.Already i have created the default variant in foreground when i execute the report in background by proving the same variant it is displaying more columns almost 70 columns.Kindly suggest and guide me how to restrict the report to get same columns in background as in foreground.
Kindly provide is there any OSS Note available.
    Thanks,
    Prashanth Reddy

I do not think it is possible to assign default layout for background job.
System will show you all field for background job for transaction ME2N.
Actually the screen layout is assigned with t-code (ME2N)
When the report is running in foreground, then system will take the screen layout for the t-code.
But when you run the background, then system will run the program directly (does not take the t-code). So the default screen layout will not fetch during running the background job.
For more details have a look into the thread Selecting layout in selection screen

  • Sales quote layout rows doubled in crystal report layout

    Dear All,
Sales quote layout rows doubled in crystal report layout.
In sales quote layout the rows are doubled. Even in the standard layout. If the quote contains only two rows. Then it is doubled as 4 rows in the crystal report layout.
It is happening in the particular database. Other database are working fine. I request you people to help me to overcome this issue.

  • Huge delay in Printing Crystal Report Layout

    Good Day Experts,
I am experiencing big delays when printing a document that makes use of a Crystal Report Layout Design.
    For example,
The Sales Quote is set to automatically print when added by the user.
When clicking 'Add', SAP freezes up and only about 30 seconds later does the printer finally print the document.
During that time, the user cannot use SAP at all.
The layout does have a lot of fields and a few formulas here and there.
Logically, I am thinking that that is the reason for the delay, as SAP needs to calculate and populate those fields.
Is there any other way that I could speed up this process? Or if you know what might be causing this speed issue?
    Your assistance will be appreciated,
    Thanks

  • Report Layout in report Painter

I created a Report in reportPainter. In the report layout, lead column section..I select Group Name to display the group name (set's id) in the report's lead column but not all the set's keys appear. It only appears children's ids but not the father's ids.
I also need the father's ids....why do I do to have the father's ids too?
    Thanks...
    Example
    father set:
    A    Inventories
    chidren sets:
    A1 Raw Materials
    A2 Obsolete Materials
In the report I only see the A1 and A2 ids and its descriptions. I also see the Inventories word. But I dont see the A key next to the Inventories description....why?

I need to display the contents of PDF document after the form letter report. I tried OLE object but at the runtime it does not display the content. Does any one knows how to attach PDF document in reports layout?
    Thanks
    Ravindra

you will have to concatinate your report output with the static PDF document. in reprots 10g you can create a cusotm destination that could implement this functionality.
out of the box, reports does not provide the ability to add static content in PDF to reports' generated PDF output.
