Measurement studio for visual studio 2005

Hello, I'm currently using an ELVIS-II with Visual Studio 2005 for the measurement studio. I'm attempting to light up the 8 LEDs on the right of the ELVIS-II using a connection to the DIO 0 - DIO 7 ports, and a Digital Output program created using the NIO DAQ Windows application. However after I compiled the program and clicked the "Write" button on the Form1.cs it displays a message saying "You must populate the data to write before writing the data" . Can someone explain to me what's wrong with the program? many thanks: )

So sorry, the code I've posted was sightly modified by me while trying to find a solution. This is the "unmodified" version. basically the "//" was removed before the "throw new System.NotImplementedException("You must populate the data to write before writing the data.");" line.

Crystal report for visual studio 2005 dblogin problem

Dear Sir,
I am using Visual Studio 2005 and crystal reports for visual studio 2005 and sql server 2000.
When I am running the project from my pc where it was developed and a local server with server authentication, report is opening but from client machine there is a new screen come before opening the report asking for login issue. my reports has subreports
also.
I am using dsn file to connect with server from crystal reports where dsn file contains as follows:

Integrated Security: it is checked and a finish button.
(i am sorry bcoz screenshort is not attaching so I write above what in the diagloag box for you)
then i need to uncheck the use integrated security and click finish then the reports come. THis is very annoying for my clients.
Please help me how can I overcome it.
It is mentionable that I didn't use any dblogin method in my code to like setdbloginforReport(). I think there is no problem bcoz the report show correctly. Just want to know how to overcome this screen.

Unlucky enough, Microsoft does not support Crystal reports anymore for many years.

What version of Measurement Studio do I buy for Visual Studio 6.0?

I am consulting for a company that requires me to use VB 6.0 and I am looking for the NI Measurement Studio version to purchase but this particular part of this web site is as confusing as HP's(Agilent) so I have yet to figure it out. The evaluation software I have for Measurement Studio lists Visual Studio.net 2003 as a requirement. Has NI assumed everyone has migrated to .net?

No images when deploying Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2005

Developed a ASP.Net web site that uses Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2005, everything works fine locally.
Following instructions from http://support.businessobjects.com/downloads/merge_modules.asp#07 a deployment package has been created using CrystalDecisionsRedist2005_x86 merge module and the website has been installed.
When it is deployed to a remote development server the report images are not displayed. The report navigation works, it is the images that are not found when the report is displayed.
Should the vs2005 key be entered some where on the remote server?

Installa error for visual studio 2005 and Visual C++ 2005 on windows server 2003 SP@

Not able to install visual studio 2005 I am getting error “The upgrade patch cannot be installed by the Windows Installer service because the program to be upgraded may be missing, or the upgrade patch may update a different version of the program. Verify that the program to be upgraded exists on your computer and that you have the correct upgrade patch” and for visual C++ 2005 after clicking the setup file nothing is displayed on the desktop. please guide. All the above software I am installing on windows server 2003 service pack2

You might want to try : MS Visual Studio 2008 and Visual C++ 2008 Express instead as this version is supported as well.

I use both Visual Studio 2005 and 2008 on same PC. I can not work with dbf files (format foxpro2x, dbase IV) in VS 2005 and VS 2008.
Q1. Work Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2008 with database files - dbf (version foxpro2x, dbaseIV)? I get error -

Hi Ludek,
1-For dbase file to work you need have permission on database files for IIS as well as user accessing the database.
2-For re-install you need to insert the CD of visual studio setup then do custom install and then try to choose crystal reports for re-installing
3-The old viewer might cause the problem. In this case can you try connecting to a blank dbase file.

How to get Crystal Reports for Visual studio Download

I'm confused! All the links seem to take me to this page SAP Crystal Reports, developer version for Microsoft Visual Studio: Updates & Runtime Downloads
It has lots of fixes and updates but I can't seem to find the actual Crystal reports for Visual Studio 2010 download. What am I missing? Am I just blind?
EDIT - I reread the page "All support packs are full builds of Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2010/2012, thus it is not necessary to update incrementally" Does this mean the update download includes everything I need to integrate CR with my Visual Studio 2010? If so, is it save to install the update over a previously installed version? I have one machine that has both CR for VS 2005 and CR for VS 2010.

Yes.
Follow the below procedure to integrate CR for VS 2010 with VS 2010.
from the link http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-7824 download 'Support Pack 10 Install executable' (first row first column).
Make sure you have VS 2010 installed. Now install the above downloaded exe on top of VS 2010.
That is it, above steps should integrate CR with VS 2010.
Even if you have a previous version of CR for VS 2010 installed, iw ould not make a difference as it is not a incremental build but a full build.
I hope this clears the confusion.

Keycode missing in Crystal Reports Basic for Visual Studio 2008

I just upgraded from Visual Studio 2005 Professional to Visual Studio 2008 Professional (with SP1 installed also). Crystal Reports Basic for Visual Studio 2008 is listed as installed under the VS Help dialog, but no key code is shown. And when I attempt to open a Crystal Report, I get a dialog saying 'Please wait while Windows configures Crystal Reports Basic', which eventually terminates with an 'Invalid Keycode' message.
I've tried repairing the Visual Studio install, and even uninstalling and reinstalling the whole thing. To no avail.
Other facts: My VS 2005 version still works with its version of Crystal Reports. I am running Vista Professional. Looking in the registry, under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE | SOFTWARE | Crystal Decisions | Crystal Reports | VSNET | Keycodes | CR9 NET, I see a Type REG_SZ with a data value in the form xxxxxx-xxxxxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [6 chars-7 chars-26 chars].

Thanks for your response. I do have versions of Visual Studio 2003 and Visual Studio 2005 on my machine, and the earlier versions of Crystal Reports worked with these versions. In addition to the registry key I cited earlier (which I now understand is a VS 2003 version), there is an entry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE | SOFTWARE | Crystal Decisions | Crystal Reports | 10.2 | Crystal Reports | KeyCodes | CR Ent. I see that you are correct, and this corresponds to my VS 2005 installation (which still works). However, there is NO entry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE | SOFTWARE | Crystal Decisions | Crystal Reports | 10.5 (the CR Basic for Visual Studio 2008 path you indicated). There is an entry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE | SOFTWARE | Business Objects | 10.5 | Crystal Reports, but it has only keys for ChartSupportPath, CommonFiles, DisablecheckForUpdates, and Path.
The Windows\assembly folder has 25 files that are CrystalDecisions.xxx, version 10.5.3700.0. This is consistent with my seeing 'Crystal Reports' listed as installed in VS 2008 Help. But no KeyCode!
I tried a complete uninstall and reinstall of VS 2008, without luck. I can't clean my system of earlier verions of Crystal Reports, because I am still supporting a body of work that I did under VS 2005, and I can't convert all this stuff to 2008 -- at least until I have a fully working VS 2008 suite. After this experience, I fear that if I were to uninstall an earlier version, i might never get it back!
I've spend quite a few hours on this with no luck, so any help would be enormously appreciated.

Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2008

We are currently using Visual Studio 2005 w/Crystal Report 11.5. We have been unable to migrate to Visual Studio 2008 up until now because the only version of Crystal Reports that was supported for Visual Studio 2008 was version 10 I believe, and that version did not contain some of the features that we are using in version 11.5.
I see that there is now an upgrade available to integrate Crystal Reports 2008 with Visual Studio 2008. My question is will this version of Crystal Reports give us the same or more features that we are currently getting with Crystal Reports 11.5?

Hi Clint,
It is a newer version so you should only gain functionality and not lose any from XI R2.
Make sure you use Crystal Reports 2008 Service Pack 0 as it is the version that is supported with VS.NET 2008.

Please define "crash". What actually happens?
Did this ever work? E.g.; this started to happen recently?
Is this happening on your development system or QA or production?
See if enabling the option "Verify on 1st Refresh" will help.
Make sure you are using SP 1: Crystal Reports for VS 2005 and VS 2008 Updates & Runtime Downloads
Ensure that the dataset is less that a couple thousand rows. Anything more than that will cause issues...

Req for Limitations details in Crystal Reports for visual studio

We are going to create a thick client windows application[using visual studio .net] which are going to be used by around 20 users in a organisation.For reporting purpose we are planning to use crystal report basic for visual studio and came to know that basic crystal distribution licence is free.Right now we are bothering about the limitations with respect to the basic crystal report version packed with visual studio.
Can anyone please shed some light regarding all the limitations in using crystal report basic for visual studio of 2003 and 2005.

I desperately need this information as well. I also need to know if the visual studio version has a rtf control that I can merge data values into a text paragraph. Also, can crystal add controls to a report at run-time based on an object class in a referenced project?
