Menu bar is not working

Dear all,
I have a very weird problem which I've been never experienced.
Now, all the menus and right-click of the mouse is disabled. I am not saying that I cannot see the menu. There are menu! However, it doesn't react whatever way now. Therefore, go to 'Tools --> something --> something' is not applicable for me at all. Morever, right-clicking of my mouse does not show anything. I don't know the reason. I turn on my laptop and read a book for several minutes, browse IBM website, and I found that my mouse doesn't react for the right click. So, I tried to check something from menu (I didn't know what must I do, just habitually i tried to access menu), but menu didn't work too.
Please let me know how to fix this.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.
If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.

Menu Bar does not work in IE (still not resolved)

I was long awaiting the 1.6 version of spry to get help with
the menubar, but I'm still having the same problem. The submenu
does not function correctly in Internet Explorer. I posted a month
ago and still haven't received any feedback on how to correct this
error. In IE, the submenus are not positioned correctly and are
pushed 100 pixels or so above the menubar. Any help out there? Any
recommendations if spry cannot deliver?

I started seeking an answer to my horizontal menu query a few
months back and didn't receive any answers that helped me out. I
thought I might share an alternative solution that worked for me
for any of you out there who might still be struggling with the
menubar (I considered it the bane of August, September, and
October).
Rich0828 was right on! Don't get frustrated over the menubar
because the Spry Squad is still working on all of the IE Hacks. I
started looking for a free solution on google and everything I read
about seemed to have a lot of problems with it. It became evident
that paying someone to be my tech support would be worth it to me.
I ended up choosing the Orange Menubar (you can change it any
color) on
http://f-source.com/ which I found
through the Dreamweaver Exchange. I payed $30 for it and have been
VERY happy. I even went out and celebrated to bury my IE qualms (at
least for now). I like this menubar because, like the Spry menubar,
its readable by search engines. I prefer this new design a lot more
because it has a cleaner, sharper look to it. I also like that I
can change the opacity of the menubar so that the glossy look of
the buttons blend in better with my navigation menu.
I did have a few questions for the tech support, and they
responded within a few hours and everything was working.

Horizontal menu bar (spry) not working in live view

action taken - simply add a horizontal spry menu to
a blank page, then go to live view.....

You will have better luck here in the Forum if you can post a link to your page. Just the HTML doesn't give us enough information; we need to see the CSS stylesheets as well, and in context...working...it's easier to pin down.

Menu bar dropdowns not working since iOS 5 update

Since the iOS 5 update for the iPhone when opening up certain web pages the dropdown menus stopped working even with the latest release. However in Safari there doesn't seem to be an issue. Obviously it was something to do with the updated web browser.
Is there a simple workaround for the webpage? Currently it would be a time consuming task to update the script for each page of the secure website?
How can someone submit an issue directly to Apple for this to be adressed in the iOS6 update?

Thanks for the quick response. Im aware that Safari is the browser in iOS5 for iPhone. Just to be clear, when using a web browser (Safari, ie firefox,opera) from a PC or MAC there are no issues with the dropdown menus with the web pages.
Before the iOS5 came out for the iPhone the dropdown menus worked properly without issue in previous versions. I even tried using various other browsers from the app store and still have the issue on the iPhone which leads me to believe the issue lies with the original code in iOS5.
I hoping to see this was an issue others. Will try the link provided to the developers.
If it cant be resolved with iOS6 my next option is to create an app. I dont want to change my web app coding at this point.

Menu bar translucency not working after screen sharing

I've taken a screen shot of my desktop

As you can see the top 1/3 of the menubar is white/light grayish.
This happened only after doing a screen share and I can't get it back to the original Leopard menubar, the only thing I can do to make it look "normal" is to turn off menubar translucency.
Anyone know how I can get the tranlucent menubar back?

All you have to do is create a sub directory on the remote server called junk or whatever, uploade the files there and supply a link. When things are sorted, you can delete the subdirectory.

Top Navigation Bar drop down menu's do not work

Top Navigation Bar drop down menu's do not work. It is only happening on a couple of my site collections and is affecting on the main page of those collections. There is only one web part on the main page, it is the Picture Library Slideshow web part. When
I remove that web part, the menu's come back and work with no problem. I re-add the web part and the menu's stop working. Not finding any error's in the server logs, there are no visual error's thrown. Any advice on what might be happening? I've checked
the Java update on our computers and it has the latest version. Open to any advice at this point.

Could you please provide a screenshot about the issue, also may detecte the problematic elements by using IE browser developer tool (keyboard F12)?
Please also check if it is related IE compatibility issue.

I still can't find a solution. Changing the parameter wmode:transparent works for .swf files but .flv files do not have the option to add this parameter. If you add it in the script manually it doesn't do anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I cn't find any solution online.

Bookmark bar does not work on one of my computers - w XP

Firefox 4.0 - the bookmark bar does not work. It appears but will not accept drags.
PC w Windows XP - 3.
Another thing too - The open new tab does not show up at all, in order to open a new tab I had to put the "open new tab" tab into the navigation toolbar.
(Works fine on my other computer, & it drives me nuts to have to use Firefox w 2 different setups...)

What's the URL of your site so we can examine it first hand? Have you tried republishing your site with the File ➙ Publish Entire Site menu option?

Srpy menu bar will not display

Was working away on modifying a spry menu bar when all of a
sudden the menu bar will not display. Tried creating a new page and
inserting the menu bar and still will not display. Won't even
display in previous pages created.

When I insert a SPRY widget into my document the Javascript
and CSS files that construct and determine the appearance of the
widget are automatically placed into a folder called SpryAssets. My
document is housed in a different folder. Thus, I must exit the
folder in which my document is contained before entering the
SpryAssets folder. When I read your href attribute it appears that
your SpryAsset folder and your document are located in the same
directory folder. If this is true, then I do not understand why
your widget does not appear.
I can offer two additional suggestions, and then my knowledge
of what might be wrong is exhausted:
1) If possible insert the widget again using a previous
version of your document in which the widget has not already been
inserted.
2) Always make sure that your document has been saved at
least once before inserting a SPRY object. This will insure that
everything is properly linked when the widget is inserted.
In the meantime, maybe someone more knowledgeable than I will
be able to help.

Tool Bar is not working

I upgraded my browser. I used Mozilla firefox. Ever since then my tool bar does not work. say if I wanted to go to www.facebook.com. I type in the web address and it will not even go to the site, or the drop down menu

If you are successfully running Firefox in Safe Mode, this might be an indication that you have too many, or simply have any out of date, Add-ons which creates a too much of a workload for your system.
You can find out which version of Firefox you are running by choosing About Firefox from the Help entry in the Menu Bar.

My clock in the menu bar will not keep time.

My clock in the menu bar will not keep time.
However, if I click on it and open Date & Time and do nothing more, it adjusts to the current time but still doesn't work as the seconds aren't advancing. I close Date & Time but the clock stays highlighted/selectted, which is also strange.
Any suggestions as to how to get my clock running again?

Not certain, but I'd try this...
You've probably got a couple of corrupt preference files.
Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.systempreferences.plist
/Users/<yourname>/Library/Preferences/ com.apple.systemuiserver.plist
/Users/<yourname>/Library/Preferences/ByHost/com.apple.systemuiserver.xxx.plist
where 'xxx' is a 12 digit (hexadecimal) numeric string.
This will reset your Menu Bar to the default, you'll need to go through System Preferences to reset the ones you need. (If they are already checked, uncheck them first and then recheck them).

FN key menue bar does not appear on Satellite R

PROB-1: i bought this Lap before 4 months.. suddenly my FN key is not working... that is, if i press FN key, menu bar does not POP OUT, but if i hold FN key and press F7 or F6, the screen brightness is changing.
I got this in Saudi Arabia, the key board also have Arabic font (which i really dont want).
PROB-2: If i want to type "@", i have to press ' Shift+" ' instead of ' Shift+2 '

Prob 1:
The FN button row which appears at the top of the display is controller by Flash Card Support Utility.
Go to All Programs -> Toshiba -> Flash Cards and restart this software.
If this does not help, then reinstall this tool.
Prob2:
I assume you keyboard language setting does not match with the keyboard layout.
Simply change the keyboard language setting.
I assume you will need to change this to English (United state)

Firefox 4: the drop down menus in the top menu bar will not appear in Google pages. For example, when I click "more" it is like clicking a dead link. Nothing happens. When I click the "tools" icon or my email address to log out, same thing.

Could you do the following please.
In the location bar at the top, type '''about:config''' and hit Enter
In the filter at the top, copy/paste the following setting:

If the figure on the right is a single number, or a minus figure i.e. '''-1''', right click it, choose '''Modify''', remove the current setting and replace it with the figure "'''12'''".
Then close Firefox and restart it again.
I went to Google Maps, but as you can see from the screenshot, directions appear to be working.

SOME FUNCTIONS BEHIND MENU/TOOLBAR ITEMS NOT WORKING

In application the toolbar button 'new record' and 'next record' are not
working. The associated menu items also not work.
When copying same set of binaries to another directory with another forms
listener then everything is ok. So the problem is not in the fmx's.
Most menu/toolbar items do work only those two have problems.
Any suggestions?

The problem was probably due to a connection error.
