Menu button problems

I won my iPod mini through a soft drink pormotion this past August. I have hardly used it and about a week ago the menu button stopped functioning. To go to the previous menu I either have to go through all my songs in a list or sometimes if I toggle the hold switch it will go back. Weird! and now this week it will not turn off. I have to put it on pause and hold until it eventually goes off which can't be good for the battery. I have reset, reloaded and restored it as well as all the software and nothing seems to work. Any suggestions?

E51 Menu Button Problem

Hi there.
Just looking to confirm that I am not alone in having this problem; After having the e51 turned on for some time (30sec - 15min), pressing the menu button when the phone is in active standby mode does not display the menu. The icon for the last function used (contacts, calendar, etc.) remains on the screen, the reception and battery indicators are redrawn to the smaller size, but the carrier name still appears at the top, and no menu entries are visible. I can still exit the menu, and use the hotkey functions of the phone, but can not browse the menu tree or access any obscured functions. The problem is fixed momentarily after rebooting the phone, but this is not a workable solution.

Menue button problems

All of a sudden the menue button on my ipod mini isn't working. I can access songs and play them but can't flip back to the artist screen while the song is playing, i have to run through the entire list to get back to the main menue. I have no idea how to fix this. I reset the ipod mini and that dind't seem to work. Any suggestions?

You could try taking it back to the store where you purchased it from and ask for help

Encore CS4 menu button problems

I just started using Encore CS4 and I made a menu for a video. The menu was taken from the library, but I added another button by typing text, then right clicking the text and selecting the choice to make the text into a button. When I burned it to DVD, the text button had no highlight, so I could not choose it when the DVD was played in my DVD player. When the DVD was played in my computer, I could choose the text button and it worked fine, it just didn’t work in my DVD player. So, my question is: how do I create a menu button in Encore (from scratch and not from the library) that has a highlight when selected on my DVD player?
Also, is there a good source for freeware buttons and menus that I could download and use in Encore?

I don't fully understand what I did, but it is now working. That is, I created a new button and the highlight works just fine. If I look at the layers tab, the new button and the old button have the same layers. I guess I could open them into Photoshop, but I have never used PS, so was hoping I could do this all in Encore. Guess now is a good time to learn PS.

MY MENU BUTTON DOES NOT WORK! ah!

I've had my ipod photo 30GB for about 5 months and i love it..i have about 2500 songs on it and i was listening to it yesterday and no matter how many times i pressed menu..it wouldn't go back to any of the other screens. all the other buttons worked fine, but the menu button wouldn't work!! now i know my ipod would still be under warranty, but i don't even know how to go about doing that. is there something i send in? or print out? or do online? and besides the warranty..is there a way to fix this menu button problem?? please help me!! thankk youu =)

No, a Reset is just like rebooting your PC - all your data will still be there. Now, a Restore will wipe your iPod, but you probably won't need to go that far.

Has anyone had a problem with the menu button

recently my menu button on my i-pod touch is acting weird, i have to press it a couple of times for it to work or in a certan spot. does anyone else have the same problem? Last night it wasn't working at all but it has gotten better but i still need to press it like 3 or 4 times for it to work.

I think they mean the home button. Have you dropped your iPod or possibly have gotten crumbs/sand or something small into the button? This happened with my friend's iPod nano last year. She went to the beach and got sand stuck in the center button and now she has to press that button 4 or 5 times to get it to work. Unfortunatley I don't know how to fix this, but I hope this helped a little bit.

IDVD 6 Chapter Menu Buttons all leading to 1st Chapter/New problem.

I've got a pressing issue never previously encountered. iDVD 6 Chapter Menu Buttons all leading to 1st Chapter! I've tried reloading the iMovie file after checking chapter markers. The problem has persisted. This is due to client tomorrow. I've been trying to understand the problem since yesterday, but a workaround solution is acceptable now. Please respond soon. Were your chapter markers placed in accord with: Setting chapter markers at http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=iMovie/6.0/en/imv1110.html ?
It reads in part: IMPORTANT: You cannot add a chapter marker to the very beginning or end of your movie. (iMovie HD automatically adds an initial chapter marker at the beginning of a movie.) It's also a good idea not to add a chapter marker within a transition, or within one second of a transition or other chapter marker. If you do so, other applications may have trouble recognizing the chapter markers.

Encore CS4 Menu Loop & Title Button Problems

Unable to find this issue in an existing thread.
Root/first-play menu is motion and set to infinite loop. Sometimes it will loop and sometimes it will just jump to some other timeline after the first pass. There seems to be some kind of interaction with the title button. The title button is linked to the root menu. If the motion menu fails to loop, it will instead, jump to the place in a timeline where the title button was last pushed after the first pass. If the title button has never been used, then it just starts at the beginning of another timeline (consistent for each DVD build, but can vary will different builds)
I have gone over and over all the menu and link settings and cannot find anything missing or wrong. The problem is independent of media, record speed, or player. If I play in my PC, it will not loop, but just jump off to another timeline after the first pass. Everything works as expected in Encore simulation (preview). The DVD has 2 sub-menus and 4 timelines.
The title button is also acting strange. If you press title a second time before entering a timeline, it will go back to where you were in the timeline when you pressed it the first time. Press it again and it will go the expected root menu & button.

Sorry you didn't get a response to this question before now. It is an odd problem, and I don't see that you are doing something wrong that leads to an answer.
I would double check to be certain that no overrides are set anywhere (accidentally or otherwise).
The last time I recall a problem where things were just odd, there was a simple error that none of us thought of.
I would troubleshoot by doing a save as, and then removing elements one at a time, or creating a new project, and adding elements one at a time.

Problem with the Menu Button in the dashboard

This is my first post to SAP Forum.
I have developed a Dashboard in ALV and i have used some buttons for the further processes on the ALV.
I have used a Menu Button and Declared it in Handle_Menu_Button method of the Class and in the implementation i have given one option in the menu. The Program is Syntactically Correct the Only thing is that when it executes and when i click on the Menu Button First time it Refreshes itself and shows nothing but when i click on the second time it shows me the Menu.
Why it is So??? Please Help Me Out.

Please try to understand the flow of program and the screen navigation
the click of BACK button triggers PAI and (to the best of my knowledge) you might have called the ALV screen number without any checks ( may be) so it is again taking to the ALV.
try using
in PAI
module exit at exit-command
in program
module exit
case ok_code
when 'BACK'.
LEAVE PROGRAM ( or any thing that you want it to be )
endcase
endmodule

Very minor problem with Dolphin menu button placement

There is an issue I've been having for a while, which I find slightly annoying. I can't seem to find a way to get Dolphins menu button aligned to the right, when not showing the menubar. Here is a screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/CdQCtyT.jpg
The menu button is the one right above "New Folder", it should be to the far right like in every other application. Anyone else experiencing this, or know how to fix it?

When you get taken back to the menu without pressing the menu button it means the program you were using has unexpectedly quit.
In Safari this could be because you were browsing a poorly programmed web page, or a page that expects a certain browser feature that doesn't exist in MobileSafari.
In Coverflow it could mean you've got a damaged piece of cover art.

I have downloaded updates for Firefox but my browser doesn't look like it should, no single menu button etc, how do I get it to look like your demo?

The last few times I have been prompted to update my firefox for desktop, my browser has not looked any different even though I get notification to say updates completed successfully. When I update firefox gives a demo of new features and how my browser should look, mine has not looked like the demo for the past few updates. It's annoying because I really like the look of having just one menu button. How can I change the look of my browser?

Won't open homepage on open, won't open web pages from the menu 'open new window', Can't open menu button

Ok, since update to version 31.0, I have been having some problems.
I have tried doing everything stated in the support page about resetting, reinstalling, safe mode, restarting pc etc.
First problem, when I open Firefox no web page loads. It just says New Tab and a blank white page. If I press the home button I am taken to my homepage which is google.
Second problem, when I right click on a link and the menu pops up, if I click open in new window, a new window opens but it just says New Tab with a blank page and no URL information, just blank.
Third problem, the Open Menu button just doesn't work at all. You can click all you like, that thing is not opening.
I am really stuck as to what to do. I have only been using Firefox for about a month and t was good until these problems. If I can't resolve it, I will have to use another browser as it is really annoying.
I am using Windows 8.1 by the way and have scanned my computer thouroughly for both virus's and malware.

General Error or Crash using menu button on chapter playlists

This is my first complex project in 2.0 - I needed to have approx 120 clips playable individually from a series of still menus. Given the 99 timeline limit, I created a number of timelines and placed batches of clips on them. I'm then using individual chapter playlists to reference each clip. The chapter playlist is linked from a menu button.
When using the menu remote button when a chapter playlist is playing, I either get an 'abnormal condition' error, or occasionally, Encore crashes with no message at all. Tried this with no menus, timelines and playlists open but same errors.
More detail:
PAL 16:9 project
28 timelines
65 chapter playlists
15 still menus
approx 120 mpv clips and associated wavs (mpv encoded with cinemacraft encoder sp)
Settings for one of the clips giving problems:
Timeline - end action not set, menu remote - return to last menu, all ops permitted, no chapter end actions
Chapter playlist - end action - return to last menu, override not set, menu remote - return to last menu, all ops permitted.
I think I can stop the errors and crashes if I disable the menu remote button - but I don't really want to do this.
Any ideas what's going on? Is it a bug(S)?

The trouble I had was the "Abnormal Condition" error when hitting the menu remote button in preview.
There was no problem with Prev/Next buttons though.
I tried burning a disc too, just to check if it would burn true & just played up in preview - but no dice. What happened was the player froze up solid after pressing the menu remote.
I did create another project where the chapter playlists numbered around 28 from a single timeline, and this actually worked as it should do, so I suspect an issue in Encore's internal stacks where this is all addressed.
I had to use a different application in the end.
I believe the reason yours is still failing is simply because despite having 5 timelines, you are still well over the number of chapter playlists that seem to be available.
It's a nasty bug - but apparently a fix is in the works. Hopefully we will see this as a maintenance release - we got these with both earlier versions (1.01 from 1.0, and 1.5.1 from 1.5) so I am hoping it will happen.
There are a couple of issues I have noticed - although this is so far the only one I cannot work around in my projects.
One thing has just occurred to me that might help you here.
Instead iof using a chapter playlist to reference each clip, save these for multiple clips that need to be accessed, and from your chapter menu, just point directly to the clip in question.
Set an end action for each clip to revert back to the menu that called it, and create just a single chapter playlist for a "Play All" situation.
This will greatly reduce the number of chapter playlists you are running - and should do the job for you.

how on earth can you help people when all you do is direct them to another page to click on something that doesn't help. this new version is awful . i cannot even put a url address in my address bar, nor can i refresh the address bar as it won't highlight at all. i keep going to all sorts of help pages and they are no help at all. i have used firefox for years and never had so much trouble with anything. the worse thing is your support and not being able to talk to any about anything. as it is i have to go all over just to find maybe an answer to this.i am using a background theme that i used before the new updated version and had no problems with it. if your themes are not compatible then why have them ??? the address bar problem is not present if i get rid of the theme and use the plain boring theme that you have . all i want to know is why this issue is happening with the theme i am using. and if possible it would be nice to get an answer in my email so i don't have to click on a dozen help pages trying to find it . thank you ..

A number of other users have mentioned a similar problem. 
Chances are that you have an add-on installed that isn't completely compatible with Firefox 29. '''You''' need to figure out the culprit and disable it until an update for that add-on is available.
