What do I have to do to correct the thumbnails with text. In
Firefox it
looks correct but in IE the text does not center under the
thumbnails. Also
the menu in firefox is correct but in IE the catalog sub menu

I fixed the problem with the thumbnails had to put a break
before the text.

Spry menu works in Firefox and Safari, but not Internet Explorer

I designed my school website in CS4 and CS5. The left spry menu bar appears correctly in Firefox and Safari, but in Internet Explorer the gray background and buttons do not appear. You can only see the text and when you scroll over the text, it disappears even though when you click on it, the link does appear. The website is http://ml.chinookschools.org. I created the site on a mac and I am hosting it on a mac mini server on my network at school. You are not using the latest Spry files
The latest version of the Adobe Spry Framework is 1.6.1, this is the same version that ships with Dreamweaver CS4. If you use Dreamweaver CS3 (uses Spry 1.4), its wise to upgrade your files to the latest version. This can easily be done using the Spry Updater that can be found here.
Then, if you have a look near the bottom of SpryMenuBarVertical.css you will see that the white background colour has been specified for IE as in

Change the value to #CCC and it will have fixed that part of the problem.
When you upgrade to the later version of Spry, make sure to keep a copy of the CSS file as a reference to modifying the new CSS file.

Hi, I have a similar problem. I did attempt the *.rdf fix on a test system, but it didn't work (em:maxVersion was already 22).
We got about inflow of phone calls from our clients experiencing the problem mentioned above from the 2nd of July onwards... and more are phoning in.
All the complaints come from clients (+- 10 so far and rising in number) using Firefox v22 (we have checked), and all of them have said that it was working previously.
We downgraded one of the clients to an older version of Firefox, and it worked again. So far we are telling our clients to downgrade until a fix comes out, or use Internet Explorer (*blush*)

Ul Menubar Positions Correctly in Firefox but NOT in IE

Hi I am having problems with my ul menubar. It displays correctly in dreamweaver and firefox but not in IE 9. Below are screenshots of what im trying to achieve. I placed the ul menubar where i want it (horizontally dropping down rather than vertical) and made its position absolute but for some reason IE does not like this. If there is anyone out there who would be willing to help me i would me most grateful!! Im relatively competent with dreamweaver cs5.5. Much thanks!

Horizontal Menu problem in Firefox and Safari

I have created a Spry Widget horizontal menu bar in my
template .dwt. This menubar worked fine at first in IE7, Firefox3,
and Safari 3 and 4, but now that all pages are in place, it
displays incorrectly in Firefox and Safari. Specifically, for each
dropdown menu, only the final item appears. While creating the
pages, I did not make any changes to the template, so I am not sure
what caused this error.

Why is the audio file stop playing midway through a .mp3 file in Firefox and not in the IE browser ?

I added an audio file on to my website, http://www.widescreenonlinereview.com/COMIC-REVIEWS.html. However, the mp3 file stop midway though the song, but the .mp3 file plays completely in the IE Browser.
I tried update Firefox, but I lost some major add-on, which me caused to return to my present Firefox browser, and the .mp3 file still would not play completely in the updates browser either.

When I scroll over content there seems to be "pop-ups" that come about. Why is this happening with FireFox and not I. E. ? How do I fix the problem?

I'm using Firefox as my browser, the web content has content that is double underlined and when I scroll over it it pops an image up or some other sign up stuff. How do I prevent this from happening?

Most likely caused by one of your extensions. If the above doesn't get rid of it, check here next:

Bear in mind that's it's probably not clearly labeled "annoying advertising" but may have an unrelated or innocent-sounding name. Disable everything that you do not use daily; if in doubt disable. Then use one of the links that appears above a disabled extension to restart Firefox and see whether that helps.

(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the thingy on the Major Geeks page):

(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:

How to add Context Menu to Some frames and not others..

I am trying to add a context menu to my InDesign plug-in based on the link http://support.adobe.com/devsup/devsup.nsf/docs/50383.htm
I am using the context key "RtMouseLayout" to specify the context for my menuitem. However, I notice that this adds my menu item to all frames (graphic frames as well as text frames).
Is there a way for me to specify that my menu item can show only when I right click on graphic frame contexts and not on text frames.
Also I am wondering if you could point me to which file these context keys are defined.. I found AdobeMenuPositions.h file, but I could not find the file where the "RtMouseLayout" key is defined..

Hmm. It also possible but IMO more complex. Take a look on BPISuiteASB.cpp and BPISuiteCSB.cpp in basicpersistinterface sample. I mean just take a look on Selection Suites. From BPISuiteLayoutCSB.cpp you can get UIDList of currently selected objects on page. So ...
If you call IBPISuite (also in BPI sample it's showed) from ActionComponent then you can kEnabledAction or kDisabled_Unselected your menu item in UpdateActionStates.

I made a puzzle on a html5 canvas in Flash CC, and followed the exact steps of an online tutorial. The final product works in Firefox, but not in Chrome or Internet Explorer. What am I doing wrong?

Call up the Javascript Console in Chrome and see if it's showing error messages.
Also, you might try uploading it to a web server and viewing it from there (or turning Apache on locally). It may be a cross site security issue.

I have 177200 bookmarks. Yes...177k is correct. Firefox will not let my delete any folders for bookmarks. Reset will not work either?

Firefox is deathly slow and locks up when I use tab for bookmarks. Like I said..reset on help tab doesn't work
I have many multiple copies of bookmarks from ie also. I tired to delete Firefox and install a fresh one but IE would allow me to go to mozilla. I know somehow the tons of bookmarks is causing issues for both Firefox and IE. I like to use both of them.

Lets try and make some practical suggestions.
I also suggest for now at least you do not try the Reset option.<br />Also note repeated attempts to recreate the places.sqlite could destroy your bookmark records all 177k of them, so please make sure they are properly backed up first.

I uninstalled Firefox, and not can't install it again

Firefox would open, but not let me go to anyother pages. It kept showing the "running" icon, and if I tried to hit any buttons, it went into "Not Responding" mode and I had to end it from the task master. I uninstalled Firefox, and tried installing it again. It goes into the download screen, and asks for permission to run the program. I hit run and it then says my user may not have access to all the features of Firefox. It offers to install it as either "Administrator" or as "MyUserName" which has full admin priviledges. I've tried as both, and it runs through the "Extracting" progress bar, which goes all the way to 100% and then just stops.
Help me, Obi-wan, you're our only hope.

My flash player keeps crashing in only firefox and not in Chrome google

I have reset firefox and unistalling and reinstalling and checked the updates but nothing works. I will be using chrome google from now as you don't care so much for the community as you say you do.

A known issue with FlashPlayer on some older Macs may well be to blame. If that is the case you need to downgrade to version 12 until Adobe release a fix.
