MenuBar skin change problem
I am trying to skin an mx:Menubar in a FLEX project and have encountered a strange problem. I have given the component an FXG background, but I would like the background to change on mouse over and mouse down events. To achieve this I I have a stylesheet linked to custom MenuBarSkin.mxml skins.
For some reason when the mouse is over the component the background doesn't change. However if I move the mouse over the component a second or third time it works. The same thing happens during mouse down events. If I click on the component just once the background remains the same. If I click again it works.
Main.mxml (spark Application component):
<fx:Style source="style.css"/>
style.css:
mx|MenuBar {
backgroundSkin: ClassReference("MenuBarSkin_Normal");
item-down-skin: ClassReference("MenuBarSkin_Down");
item-over-skin: ClassReference("MenuBarSkin_Down");
MenuBarSkin_Normal.mxml:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<s:Skin xmlns:fx="http://ns.adobe.com/mxml/2009" xmlns:s="library://ns.adobe.com/flex/spark" xmlns:fxg="fxg.*" xmlns:mx="library://ns.adobe.com/flex/mx">
<s:states>
<s:State name="normal"/>
<s:State name="disabled"/>
</s:states>
<fxg:FXG_Normal width="100%" height="100%"/>
</s:Skin>
MenuBarSkin_Down.mxml:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<s:Skin xmlns:fx="http://ns.adobe.com/mxml/2009" xmlns:s="library://ns.adobe.com/flex/spark" xmlns:fxg="fxg.*" xmlns:mx="library://ns.adobe.com/flex/mx">
<s:states>
<s:State name="normal"/>
<s:State name="disabled"/>
</s:states>
<fxg:FXG_Normal width="100%" height="100%"/>
</s:Skin>
From what I have read on the internet skinning the menubar component is a real pain in the *** and many people seem to have problems with it.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I think you are encountering an issue that has been fixed recently. http://javafx-jira.kenai.com/browse/RT-18859
Please try with the latest promoted build and hopefully you should not see the odd behavior between menus and textfields.
The second issue about the Menubar not moving when the browser window moves is a known issue and is being currently looked at - here is the bug if you would like to track it. http://javafx-jira.kenai.com/browse/RT-15970.
thanks.

How to address the IP address automatically changing problem?
My Oracle database 10g(10.2.0) is on the WinXP platform and the system IP address often changes automatically. This leads to some troubles with my Oracle database. How to deal with this problem? How to stop the IP changing problem?

Presently, i am using the Robohelp 5 version. The chm feel and look of this version is very outdated and doesn't give a modern appearance. I have visited other forums, but the commonly used methodology is to create a webhelp with the new skin settings and then convert to chm. But, this facility is not available in this version. Can you suggest any other solutions for this issue.
Yes, from this version , there is no facility to upgrade to any latest
version. Also, this documentation has to be delivered along with the
application build, so irrespective of having access to the web the users
must be able to read this file.
Is there any other way to solve this issue?

I am new to RoboHelp. I have lost the lefthand-side corner column from where skin changes can be done. Please help if you know.
I am presently using Robohelp Version 8.
My entire setup has been messed. Any of the items such as Project Manager, Single Source Layout, Project Set up, The Main Page where to write, are not appearing. They seem to have been closed down by some mistaken step. Thus, when I am opening a Robohelp document, the page appears blank.
How do I get the original page setup, where there will be Project Manager at the left hand side, Topic Names in the Middle and Design and HTML Page (Where I can write) in the right side? There is nobody in my office who knows Robohelp. So I need help badly.
I have installed Robohelp Version 8 and it is not a free version.The previous documents are also appearing blank. I am really helpless.... -

Menubar submenu centering problems
I just downloaded the spry widgets today to use the menubar
in a webpage. I need the menu items to be centered but the submenus
to be on the left. Unfortunately while it works in Firefox it does
not work in IE7. In IE the menu items on top are centered but the
submenus shift over to the right with the left edge of the submenu
directly under the center of it's parent menu item. I checked the
Menu
Bar Styling Examples thread but nothing I tried seemed to work
(ironically i accidentally commented out the ul.MenuBarHorizontal
li.MenuBarItemIE css and it did align correctly in ie even though
it caused other problems)
Here's the html code I'm using in the page that contains the
menubar along with any css for the menu bar in the actual page:

If I can get this last issue working I'd be all set with the
website. If anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate
it. Thanks.All you have to do is remove the text-align:center that you
added to this rule:
ul.MenuBarHorizontal li

In the Menu Bar Styling Examples, we don't change the
text-alignment of the li, we change the alignment of the link
elements which are the actual menu items.

Custom TitleWindow Skin State Problem
Hi everyone, I've got a problem:
I have a TitleWindow with a skin made by me.
Everything is perfect but when I change to a certain state (in this case is called "AuctionWon").
When I get to that state the skin completely disappear showing a transparent background and the components I placed in that state aren't right.
Here is screenshot of component state in flash builder design mode (when running I can't see the background and the green button):
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/4064417/panelStateError.JPG
Here the screenshot when I run the program
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/4064417/panelStateError2.JPG
Do you find something strange in the code?
Component code:
http://pastebin.com/A2XtZKxs
Code where I manage the component (I change the state at 73):
http://pastebin.com/su2878Zu
here is the skin definition:
http://pastebin.com/8XXP7pa3
making some test I found out that sometime, if I manage to find the title bar in the panel and I drag it, the skin magically appears but the buttons are still wrong...
unfortunately it appears just sometimes...
It also appears magically if I bring the window application to icon and then reopen it...
I really just can't figure out the problem =S
Can someone help me please?
Thank you in advanceThank you Kevinklee for the quick answer =)
Changing the TextArea's background alfa brings to nothing =\
But I saw a change when I applied the image component of my skin in all the states
Here is the new skin code (yellow line is the edited part)
http://pastebin.com/grgAQLRW
The change I see is this: now I can't see my image in Design mode as well and in all the states of my TitleWindow
Screenshot:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/4064417/panelStateError3.JPG
In the skin design mode anyway I can see my image. Now what I have to do to make it visible everywhere? -
Skin state problem with PopupAnchor
I wanted a button which on hover show a popup. and depending on some state, add/remove elements from the popup.
I extended Button to create HoverButton and used DropDownController with PopupAnchor to get the hover to popup behavior. However for some reason removing element from the popup using skin state isn't working. I've included a sample code below.
Basically when you mouse hover over the button, you should see a popup with one or two label depending on state which gets toggled when you click on the button. Initially you see one label in the popup because it's in open state. when you click on the button, state should change to close. so when you hover on the button, popup shows up with two button. So far so good. But if you move your mouse away and then hover again, all of sudden you don't get the second button.
anyone have any idea why this is happening?

I've experienced the same problem after installing arch on my new hp nx7400. Workaround is to compile psmouse as a module, so i ask you to do that...
Ubuntu users only need to unloading module before shutdown / reboot by adding 'modprobe -r psmouse' to '/etc/init.d/halt' and '/etc/init.d/reboot' because they have psmouse as a module compiled to kernel.
I've noticed that arch devs made that floppy is now a module so I would be gratefull if they could do the same with psmouse. -
I have tried a couple of methods to change the iCal and Contacts skins in the Macbookpro Retina and neither of them have worked. Lion Tweaks, god bless his little Norwegien cotton socks, doesn't mention it doesn't work with the Ret, and Simple Change is the same. I'm not savvy enough to mess around with Terminal but if anyone hear's anything let me know. Ta.
Hi there,
I hade the same problem on my MacBook Pro with Retina display, MAC OSX 10.7.4. Whant you need to do is run iCal and Addressbook in "low resolution" mode in order to apply the changes.
Here's how to do that (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5266):
Quit the application if it is currently open.
In the Finder, choose Applications from the Go menu.
In the Applications folder that opens, click the application's icon (e.g. iCal) so it is highlighted.
Choose Get Info from the File menu.
Place a checkmark next to "Open in Low Resolution" to enable Low Resolution mode.
6. Close the window and double click the iCal icon in Applications to reopen iCal.
Hope this helps. -

Hi,
We are using a number of Intel based OSX 10.4 machines bound to a Windows 2003 Forest / Domain.
We have run into a problem where users are unable to change there AD passwords using the Access applet from within System Prefs, it gives an error about a possible policy problem. I have tried doing the same thing using the Kerberos utility which gives similar results. If we set a user account to force the password to be changed the next login it works which is puzzling. Password changes are working without problem from within our Windows environment.
I was wondering if anyone can shed any light on the matter?
Many Thanks

Applying p5665750_10131_GENERIC.zip doesnt solve the rules change problem
Hi,
Please suggest a solution to the below problem.
Initial problem : whenever user changed rules in rules repository(WebDAV repository) they are not getting reflected in the BPEL process which contains decision service.
Solution : redeploying the BPEL process or restarting SOA suite will affect BPEL process with the changes in rules repository.
But we need to solve the above problem without redeploying the BPEL process. For this we have been provided a patch (p5665750_10131_GENERIC.zip)
Installation of above patch
%soa_home%opmn\bin>Opmnctl stopall
Then I installed the patch.
And restart the SOA suite
%soa_home%opmn\bin>Opmnctl startall
Now when I am trying to access the application I am getting Promotion Status as null and the following is the stack trace of the error

07/04/27 18:39:14 pFaultMessage is [email protected]9 name:operationErroredFault
07/04/27 18:39:14 QName string is operationErroredFaultHi everybody,
Wondering if we could categorize a little bit so that we can put together some kind of tech-note. So far i have seen the following errors:
1. Something along
at line 3 column 1 in main
Caused by: FactClassException: fact class for 'loanoffer.LoanApplicationType' should be declared earlier in rule session
at line 3 column 1 in main
This one is usually caused by a RL function having above fact class as one
of its parameters. The workaround to avoid this is either use 'loanoffer.LoanApplication' as the parameter type or enable 'assertXPath' for the fact 'loanoffer.LoanApplicationType'.
2. Something like (see above)
<2007-04-27 18:39:14,928> <ERROR> <oracle.bpel.services> <::> Internal error: Function assert-object: error in call: Jess reported an error in routine DefinstanceList.definstance
while executing (assert-object duvalCounty.StudentImpl@795486).
Message: Object is not instance of duvalCounty.StudentImpl.Jess reported an error in routine DefinstanceList.definstance
while executing (assert-object duvalCounty.StudentImpl@795486).
This usually indicates a classloader issue in the decision service itself and it can
happen if you put the fact class files into some directory which is in the classpath
of BPEL PM (like ?/bpel/system/classes)
I'm following up with "soruganti" on the second issue (the one originally posted)
and we'll post the outcome here.
Juan: Can you confirm that the issue you're seeing is one of above (1.) or (2.) ?
Any stack trace available ?
Nevertheless i'm sure it is somehow unrelated to patch p5665750.
Best Regards,
Ralf
