Sender File (FCC) - Content of File into single XML Tag
Hi,
Input file
This is Line1
This is Line2
Expected Sender File adapter FCC into XML
<Document>
.<File>
..<Content> This is line 1 This is line2</content>
.</File>
</Document>
FCC is giving the following output with the below config,
File.fieldNames = Content
File.fieldSeparator = '0x1A' (HexaDecimal rep for EndOfFile)
<Document>
.<File>
..<Content>This is line 1</content>
..<Content>This is line 2</content>
.</File>
</Document>
How can i read the complete file into a single XML tag?
I am aware of other options (AdapterModules or Javamapping). But i want to keep it simple to FileAdapter using FCC or using MessageTransformBean (if possible)
-SMFCC donse't work here, So i wrote a simple Java map inside Execute method to convert the content to the required format.
public void execute(InputStream in, OutputStream out) throws StreamTransformationException{
StringBuilder sb = new StringBuilder();
try {
BufferedReader reader = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(in, "UTF-8"));
while ((line = reader.readLine()) != null) {
sb.append(line).append("\r\n");
} finally {
in.close();
After i had the input string, i formatted it to get the required output as XML ...
<Document>
.<File>
..<Content> This is line 1 This is line2</content>
.</File>

Error message when trying to merge multiple files into single PDF file
Greetings! I'm on windows 7 professional, adobe 9 pro and a 64 bit PC. When I try to merge several PDF files from the same folder into a single PDF file I get this error message "You can choose multiple items only if they are all located in the same folder" - Please help! Thx.
The product is Acrobat, not Adobe. That being said, I suspect you may only be running AA 9.0 and that may be the issue. If you have not done the updates to the 9.5.5, you probably should. That may fix the issue you are having, particularly since you mentioned a 64-bit system.

Weblogic 10.1 web apps merge log4j log files into single log file
Hi
I have deployed multiple web applications on my weblogic (v 10.1 - JDK 1.5.0_12). I am using log4j-1.2.13.jar in a four different web applications.
The location for the files are - WEB-INF\lib\log4j-1.3.13.jar and WEB-INF\classes\log4j.properties
When I deployed all the four webapps in weblogic - we found that all of the apps started writing their logs into the logfile which is configured in the log4j of the first web apps log file. The "first web app" is the web app which is the first app deployed in weblogic.
I have deployed all the four webapps in Tomcat and found that four separate log files get created. Hence, this problem is unique to Weblogic.
Any suggestions on what the problem could be? I have been battling with this issue for over a week- and have exhausted all ideas.
Thank you,
Ronak S.Hi ,
Read all about your issue here :
Weblogic 10.0 and Log4j classpath problem
Issue is that the Weblogic system classloader includes log4J already..
Use "Filtering ClassLoader" a mechanism to configure deployment descriptors to explicitly specify that certain packages should always be loaded from the application, rather than being loaded by the system classloader.
see: http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs100/programming/classloading.html#wp1097187
Example:
Add following to your META-INF/weblogic-application.xml
<prefer-application-packages>
<package-name>org.apache.log4j.*</package-name>
</prefer-application-packages>
Exclude all library packages used within your applcation to have full control over what is used by the application.

Splitting multiple IDoc XML files into single IDoc messages for R/3
Hi all. I have a problem splitting IDoc XML files coming in to XI. I currently have an interface that takes in single store sale IDoc transactions (type WPUBON01) in an IDoc XML file. I then have some complex graphical mapping on the IDoc before sending to R/3 via the IDoc adapter. This works fine. However, we now wish to include multiple sales in one file i.e. many WPUBON01 IDocs. I could use message splitting to do this BUT the mapping is so complex, I do not wish to have to change it to enable the processing of many IDocs in one file instead of just one.
What I want to do: have one mapping splitting a multiple IDoc XML file into single IDoc messages and then another taking these single messages as before and performing the mapping. I cannot find a way to do this in one interface; the main problem I'm having is getting XI to split the multiple IDocs into many single IDoc messages within XI itself. I'd be very grateful for any advice on the best way to do this.
Thankyou.
Stuart Richards (Halfords, UK)Bhavesh,
Thanks again for a clear explanation... I'm moving forwards but still struggling. I've been on this all afternoon today (after a break on other things) and just cannot get my message to split properly (though the SOAP adapter problem I had earlier is now fixed!). If my initial IDoc XML file contains this format:
<WPUBON01><IDOC>....</IDOC>
<IDOC>....</IDOC>
<IDOC>....</IDOC></WPUBON01>
.. I'm not sure what the cardinaility on the first message mapping and interface mapping should be. I'd have thought the source interface would be 1 and the target would be 0..unbounded but this isn't working. I'm trying different things but I get different errors each time. Currently, I have the above cardinality in my first interface and I'm passing in the following data:

In the message monitor, I get a chequered flag. Great. However, I get the dreaded error 500 in the SOAP receiver comm channel:
SOAP: response message contains an error XIAdapter/HTTP/ADAPTER.HTTP_EXCEPTION - HTTP 500 Internal Server Error
Exception caught by adapter framework: SOAP Error
Delivery of the message to the application using connection AFW failed, due to: SOAP Error.
Any ideas as to what this might be?! I'm getting there.... if I get a solution out of this, I promise to write the blog myself!
Cheers

Thanks so very much - you have solved the problem.
I tried Document > Insert Pages and that worked.
I then ran the "Repair" feature on Adobe which installed a few updates and I am now also able to merge pdf's by using the "Combine" feature and all the pages show the text/info.
Thanks again for your help, it is very much appreciated.
Thank you also to Apoorv for your assistance. -

<!-- Processor splits text into lines -->
<processor type="RegexDelimited">
<regex>\n</regex>

This is used to specify that a message should be created per line in
the incoming file;
NOTE: this was designed to work with all the processors, however it
only works correctly with 'RegexDelimited' processors (check the
enclosing top processor type)
-->
<maxIterationsPerMsg>1</maxIterationsPerMsg>
<!-- For lines beginning with FHEAD (File Header) -->
<processor type="RegexMatch">

<regex>(.*)</regex>
<consumeMatchedChars>false</consumeMatchedChars>

</processor>
<!-- For lines beginning with TDETL (Transaction Details) -->
<processor type="RegexMatch">

<regex>(.*)</regex>
<consumeMatchedChars>false</consumeMatchedChars>
</processor>
<processor type="RegexMatch">
<element>LineSeq,TransControlNumber,TransDate,LocationType,Location,ItemType,Item,UPCSupplement,InventoryStatus,AdjustReason,AdjustSign,AdjustQty</element>
<regex>^(\d{10})(\d{14})(\d{14})(\w{2})(\d{4})(\w{3})([\w ]{13})([\w ]{5})(\d{2})(\d{2})([+-]{1})(\d{12})$</regex>
</processor>
</processor>
<!-- For lines beginning with FTAIL (File Tail) -->
<processor type="RegexMatch">
<element>FTAIL</element>
<regex>^FTAIL(.*)</regex>
<processor type="RegexMatch">
<element>OriginalLine</element>
<regex>(.*)</regex>
<consumeMatchedChars>false</consumeMatchedChars>
</processor>
<processor type="RegexMatch">
<element>LineSeq,TransCount</element>
<regex>^(\d{10})(\d{6})$</regex>
</processor>
</processor>
</processor>
</txt2xml>
ThanksSorry, that doesn't make much sense.
The XML you gave is a configuration file for txt2xml utility. It doesn't represent the output format.
Are you a user of this utility? -
Batch Merge Files Into Single PDF
Just wanted to know if there's a way on Acrobat 9 Pro,i can select a folder using Merge Files Into Single PDF and have it merge each of the subfolders in the folder into separate single PDFs and have then retain the names of their corresponding subfolders? At the moment i'm having to do one folder at a time and then name them.
Any help would be great
[Thread moved from comments forum to Acrobat forum]Hello again. I took the long weekend off, so haven't replied for a while.
While trying to set up a few documents out of the package I wanted to create, I discovered that there
is only one file that is causing the problem.
The biggest problem is that it is a confidential financial file, and I'm loathe to put it up on the web.
I'm going to try to re-create the file without the confidential part, then send it to this forum. I can't
figure out why it should cause problems when all the others don't and they have all been created by
the same person with the same version of Office.
So thanks for your help so far. I really appreciate the quick response from a couple of you. I will get back to you. -
Embed an external PDF file into the XML
Dear All,
We have a program which creates the XML file on the Application server when we execute it.
My requirement is to Embed an external PDF file into the XML file while generating it through
program from SAP.
Please let me know how this is possible.
Thanks & Regards,
VinitYes, you can do it. You have to use an absolute path and add it not only to the folder but to the .manifest
I wrote a blog post explaining how to do it:

Load different xml structure in single flash file
Hi to all,
How can i call different xml structures in single file..
actually i am looking for 2 different menu galleries in single
file.. first menu contains.. some 4 to 5 buttons.. done with this..
in other flash file..having some of 4-5 buttons.. and these
buttons.. to show in main flash file.. can i load 2 different swf
files in single main file and with different xml structure please
help me on this.. thanks in advance.
Best Regards
Satish Kumar Rajulayes, you can use one xml instance with an if-statement, but
it's easier and cleaner to use different xml instances and
different parsing code for each xml file loaded that has different
structure. -

Error Message When Merging Multiple PDF Files into One PDF File
Good Morning,
I have a problem with Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro. I am trying to merge/combine multiple PDF files into one PDF file, but I keep receiving this error message:
Does anyone have a fix for this? Thank you!To fix:
Provide a unique name for each form field. This includes the individual PDFs fields. As you intend to combine/merge no field name in each of the individual PDFs can be the same.
Be well...
