Message box text attributes

I would appreciate any scripting help on how to make all of the text in a message box for a pdf all bold or to make specific words bold.  Any help is appreciated.

You can create a custom dialog that can include bold text, for a static text element, for example. It's much easier to create bold blocks of text, as opposed to individual bold words within a block of text. See the execDialog method and other dialog related documentation: http://livedocs.adobe.com/acrobat_sdk/9.1/Acrobat9_1_HTMLHelp/JS_API_AcroJS.88.142.html

  • How to show a field value and a message text in a message box

    Hi
I have made a message box that shows the value of a text field when a button is clicked. I would like to add some message text to the message box as well, so that my message box will show something like:
You have entered this data: "textField value"
This script works to show the text field value but I cannot figure out how to combine it with an ordinary message box text message. I have tried various combinations of () and “ “ but no luck.
    if
    (TextField1.rawValue != null){
    xfa.host.messageBox(TextField1.rawValue
    , "Message box title");}
    Kirstine

you can use below code:xfa.host.messageBox("Word  you want to add in start "+TextField1.rawValue
+" Word you want to add in the end","Message Box Title")
    Thanks

  • Teststand message box larger font for 95 years old

    Hi
I am working with people > 90 yrs.
the message pop up window occupied on top of the screen.
How can I help them by changing the font and/or color of the message pop up.
the real estate of the screen is there.
message pop up dominates the screen, nothing else matters
Please allow me to change the font for seniors with strained eyes.

    Hi trout00
You have a couple different options for changing the font size of the message box. The first option is to change the native Windows message box settings. From Windows XP, right-click on your desktop and go to "Properties". Click on the "Appearance" tab in the Display Properties dialog box, and click on the "Advanced" button. In the Advanced Appearance dialog box, select "Message Box" from the "Item" drop-down menu. This will allow you to change the font of the message box text.
Your other option is to use a custom step type. This KnowledgeBase has more information on this option, including a link to an example program.

  • I'm trying to share to Media Browser a 20 minute still slide show with music and text. I have tried several times to save at 1080 HD, but just before it's finished, a message box pops up saying "File already open with write permission."  What's this mean?

I'm trying to finalize/share to Media Browser a 20 minute still slide show with music and text. I'd like to finalize it 1080 hd and have tried several times, but just before it's finished, a message box pops up saying it can't be done because "File already open with with write permission."  What does this mean?  All files are closed; this iMovie project is the only thing open.  Does it mean one of the song files from iTunes? And should I just settle for saving it as a "large" file, which is what I'm trying right now?
    Thanks,
    Jamie

  • How do I set the cursor in the text response of a message box

I am using TestStand 4.1.1. During testing I need to scan in some data from the operator.
I am using a message popup with the text response box enabled. My problem is the cursor does not automatically appear in the text box at run time. I don't want to have to place the mouse in the box each time.
Is there someway to set the cursor to automatically be in the text box.
    Regards,
    Don1.

    Hi,
You have to make the Response Box the active control. You will find the 'Active Control' control in the main tab of the Message Box setup properties window.

  • How do I change text attributes within one text box in Motion 3?

I am trying to change text attributes within one text box in Motion 3, but am only able to change the font/size for the entire box. Is there a way to change the attributes to individual lines of text within a text box without creating an entirely new one or using the "Lower Third" text effect?
How do I create (two different) multiple colors, fonts, bold, italic, underline in one text box within Final Cut Studio Motion (FCP, FCS)

Thank you! You saved me hours of tinkering around with multiple text boxes. It seemed like it should be something pretty elementary. It didn't help that I am not familiar with proper terminology, so thank you for defining glyph.

  • HT3228 My ipad4 is connected to my yahoo mail. Yesterday, no text show in the message box. However, I can see that  there is message from the inbox index list under each email.

My iPad 4 is connected with my yahoo email. Yester day, I suddenly could not see ant text in message box.

Quit the mail app completely. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar.
    Launch mail again.
Or .... Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

  • View text messages in message box

I just got my Blackberry Curve yesterday and I'm stuck. I figured out how to separate my email messages from my text messages in the "Messages" box, however it still defaults to my email messages when I open the "Messages" box. How can I make it open up to the text message folder? (There's no "hide folder" option I can find, and when I separated the email and texts no new folder came up on my home screen.)
    Thanks!
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

First, know that your SMS text message will appear in the new separate folder. You email messages will remain in the Messages folder.
Open your Messages folder > Menu > Options > General Options > scroll down to SMS and Email Inbox = Separate, and SAVE.
Now, a new SMS folder will appear on your homescreen of your device. Do you see it? Usually it defaults to the top row.
If you don't see it, on your homescreen press Menu > SHOW ALL , so that SHOW ALL is check marked. Now look again.
Still nothing? Perhaps you have moved that icon into a folder, search all folders on the homesceen such as applicaitons, games, etc.

  • How come sometimes I cannot write text in a blank message box, nor can I write text opening an email and hiting forward and then wanting to add a short text note. I've notice this happens sporatically. What gives?

I tried to reply to an email and could not write a reply in the response box. I could not even attach a file. So I tried opening a new message box and I still could not compose a message. It appears there is an error the coding. Please fix it a soon as possible. This happens to be my lifeline.
    Many Thanks!

Thank you very much for the response Jason and I am sorry for the late reply but as usual life got in the way.
I ended up doing some more experimentation and I did fix the bug you pointed out.  When this didn't solve the problem I started to look at other files.  It turned out that my .bash_aliases file was the real culprit.  The offending line was:
    alias su='su -l | cd ~/' # invokes a login shell then changes to root's home directory
I fixed the issue by changing that line to read:
alias su='su -l ' # invokes a login shell then changes to root's home directory
As always thank you for the help,

  • How can I add a new message(custom text message) to the holiday approval em

How can I add a new message(custom text message) to the holiday approval email-notification sent to the manager?
    TIA

The answer is 'not very easily', unless the information you want to display is the employee's leave balances. In 12.1.3 Oracle have delivered functionality that allows you to include the leave balances in the approval notifications out-the-box, ie, without customization.
For any other information you're probably going to have to customize the standard delivered HRSSA workflow. Within this workflow, the Leave of Absence functionality uses the Notify Approver (Embedded) (HR_APPROVER_NTF) notification. The body of this notification is set to the Notify Approver (Embedded) (HR_NTF_EMBEDDED_REGION) attribute. This in turn defaults to:
    JSP:/OA_HTML/OA.jsp?OAFunc=-&HR_EMBEDDED_REGION-&NtfId=-&#NID-
So essentially you can change the HR_APPROVER_NTF notification. The problem with changing this notification is that it's generic - it's used for all SSHR functions and not just Leave of Absence. That means you have to make other, more substantial, customizations to the workflow to ensure the changes you make only applies to LOA.
The other option is to personalize the review page (ie, the region referenced in &HR_EMBEDDED_REGION) to include whatever messages you want. But that means they'll appear on the Review page and all LOA approval notifications and that might not be what you want.
It's usually better to live with what Oracle deliver and find an alternative solution! What's the content of the message you want to include?

    Michele-
You can use javascript to send a message window in the http protocol.
