Message Status: Waiting

I have a JDBC -> File scenario that I am attempting to test.  In the runtime workbench the message status is <b>Waiting</b>.  If I select the message and click <i>Versions</i> I can see that there are two different messages, one processed by the Adapter Engine and another by the Integration Engine.  The Adapter Engine message status is successfull, however the Integration Engine is giving a status of <b>Waiting</b>.
I checked transaction SXMB_MONI and looked at the processed messages and discovered that the JDBC connection is successfully pulling the data into the format that I set up perfectly, so I believe the error lies either within the File adapter or a BASIS issue of some sort.
Does anyone have any advice that could help me troubleshoot this issue?

Hi,
In this case try to restart LUW from queue. Double click on queue ID and then reprocess message in the queue. Or use smq2 to achieve the same result.
This is connected to problem in communication between Integration server (ABAP) and mapping service (J2EE). Work around is to schedule reports which will restart stuck messages in the queues.

Wojciech

  • Query re FTP adapter : Message Status

    Hi All,
For an FTP adapter, if a message is in 'To BE Delivered' or 'Delivering status', what could be the possible reasons for the same.
    Thank you in adv.

    Hello,
With regard to the message status 'Waiting to be delivered', it means that the message is successfully delivered from Integration Server but got stuck in the queue. Can you please check whether the queues are registered. Go to SMQR transaction. You will get a list of queues. The next column is 'Type' which should show 'R' (Registered). Most cases the queues would have been configured and registered. Anyway please check it. Also check tcodes SMQ1 and SMQ2 to find any queues. If you find, release them by just pointing at the queue and unlocking it.
I herewith provide a thread which explain more about this issue. Hope this should be useful:-
    To Be Delivered
if some messages are in DLNG status...then other messages which are in ToBeDelivered state are waiting for the resources to get processed...

  • Message status is:To be delivered

    Gurus,
I have done a File to File scenario. The source file is successfully picked up but not delivered. When i see in Runtime workbench the status of message is "To be delivered".
Total no of messages are around 252 in message monitoring(may be due to misconfigurations in previous instances). All the configuration steps looks to be fine, finally now.Are these previously undelivered messages causing the present file to be undelivered. If so,then how to delete all those undelivered messages. The integration engine is in yellow colour in component monitoring.

  • Messages in BPM with Status Waiting

    Hi,
I have created BPM for Message Collect like the standard SAP Pattern BpmPatternCollectMessage. But for terminating Message I’ve used Message type (Message interface) different from the Message type in the main Fork section. I thought that it is possible correlation between two message Interfaces with different Message types?
Any way I had an Error in my BPM and after a test the Status for my Messages is Successful for inbound and Waiting (Message being sent) for Outbound. All my Messages are collected in a Queue, Wait step is created but BPM don’t proceed further.
So I’ve made some changes in my BPM and tried with a new Test but it works with the old Version of the BPM and collects the Messages in the same Queue. So any idea how can I use the new BPM version? Should I Delete Manually the old Messages with Status Waiting or there is also different way?
    Thanks
    Naycho

    >>>I thought that it is possible correlation between two message Interfaces with different Message types?
    yes it is
    >>>>All my Messages are collected in a Queue, Wait step is created but BPM don’t proceed further.
have you registered queues on XI? TCODE - SXMB_ADM - manage queues ?
    >>>Test but it works with the old Version of the BPM and collects
try looking at: SXI_CACHE - integration process- check if your new process has 0 status - activated

  • Java Proxy message in waiting status

    Hi,
Let me explain my case, In our Integration Scenario we have configured an Inbound Java Proxy as the How to guide (HOW TO WORK WITH JAVA PROXIES) expain, but the proxy doesn't hava code, that is, it have the code by default when its created, and when we register it and the scenario runs, in the message monitoring the status of the message to the JP Business Service is in WAITING status, and in the details it says sometimes that an old reference to another JNDI name of bean is doesn't locate or the message "MessageSpecifier could not be reset".
Remember, the Imp. class has only the default code and the scenario is JDBC --> XI --> JavaProxy
       Any ideas?

    Hi Hector,
    Status:  WAITING
The message had been sent and it is failed and is currently waiting for another attempt.
    Solution :
When the fist attempt to deliver the message has failed (a recoverable exception arose), the message is usually rescheduled and the status is updated to WAITING. As long as the message is in this status, the Messaging System retries to deliver the message according to the configured retry settings (default 3 tries).

  • Messages stuck with status "WAITING"

    Hi Everyone,
We have implemented PI interface a year ago with JDBC sender (ORACLE) and RFC receiver (SAP) to transfer the goods movements from legacy to SAP and give back the current stock after the goods movement is posted back to ORACLE system.
The interface has been working fine for over an year now but suddenly since 15days we are experiencing the issue of delays in message transmission where-in in SXMB_MONI we see a time difference of 60-90mins between start message start time and end time...
Nothing has been changed from development/design perspective and am unable to understand the reasons for this delay.
Also for the above scenario the message status in MESSAGE MONITORING shows waiting status and i have cross verified for any errors and could not find any errors in given time.
also MDT Screen shot for your reference
I am struggling to figure out the reasons and this is causing stock mismatch between Oracle system and SAP and has become show stopper.
Please guide me in identifying the root cause and fixing this...
Thanking you all in anticipation of help...
    Lakshmi

    hi Claudia,
I have cross verified both and as you can see there are no errors
    a
    and finally the XML
couldn't figure out why this delay happening... One thing after an hour or so... the things get cleared as one in executing state finishes leading to others to finish.. but by then they are getting accumulated
Appreciate any guidance to figure out the root cause...
    Thanks in advance

  • Email status waiting

    Hi All,
I have written a code to send a mail from sap system to internet mail ids.
But all the mails that are going through the program is giving a message of WAITING in the out box.
The required settings have been done in SCOT transaction and I can send a mail through So01 transaction.
The problem is while sending it programmatically. I am attaching the code for the same. Please correct me if there is any additions to be made.
    The code is as follows:-
DATA: OBJCONT LIKE SOLISTI1 OCCURS 5 WITH HEADER LINE.
DATA: RECLIST LIKE SOMLRECI1 OCCURS 5 WITH HEADER LINE.

    Fill the document
    DOC_CHNG-OBJ_NAME = 'URGENT'.
    DOC_CHNG-OBJ_DESCR = 'Read at once !'.
    DOC_CHNG-SENSITIVTY = 'P'.
OBJCONT = 'Hey guys, time for lunch !!!'.
    APPEND OBJCONT.
OBJCONT = 'Lets get going !'.
    APPEND OBJCONT.
    DESCRIBE TABLE OBJCONT LINES ENTRIES.
    READ TABLE OBJCONT INDEX ENTRIES.

    ENDCASE.

I have tested your code in my system.  It works great.  In the SCOT transaction,  these mails are just sitting in wait status?   Have you tried forcing them thru manually?  Any error messages?
My exchange server did come back with an error for your email address, so it did not successfully go to you.  I sent it to myself, and it worked ok.
Is this your valid email address
    '[email protected]'.

  • Message status "To_Be_Delivered" in MDT !!

    Hi ,
Our messages are stuck with the status "To Be Delivered" in MDT. Integration engine shows a chequred flag. However FTP adapter fails to process this message(IDOC to file scenario). Any idea how and where to troubleshoot ?
We went through the applications.log , defaultrace, trc & xi.log with no use. Followed sap notes(761921) and set the trace level to debug for the adapter engine, still no messages seems to be traced about this failure.
We followed this link http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/49/e3fb40ef74f823e10000000a155106/content.htm(Thanks to Michal for his weblog which talks about this) as well, but only this scenario(message status with "TO_BE_DELIVERED") we are facing is missed out in this link
    Any pointers ?
    Thanks
    Saravana

as you can find on the help.sap.com :
<i>TO_BE_DELIVERED occurs while the message is put into the Messaging System receive queue. This is done via the Messaging System receive servlet:
    http://<Host>:<PORT>/MessagingSystem/receive/<CONNECTION>/<PROTOCOL>
Only if this was executed successfully the MS returns HTTP 200 to the Integration Server. In this example scenario status TO_BE_DELIVERED should not appear since we presume that the IS has called the servlet successfully.</i>
so... if the messaging system can't return anything (instead of returning http 200) the status is to_be_develivered I assume:)
    1. try logging into SapGUI with two users:
    XIAPPLUSER
    XIAFUSER
to see if <b>they are not blocked</b>
    2. You can check those:
    AdapterFramework
    com.sap.aii.adapterframework.serviceuser.language
    com.sap.aii.adapterframework.serviceuser.name = XIAFUSER
    com.sap.aii.adapterframework.serviceuser.pwd
    ApplicationSystem
    com.sap.aii.applicationsystem.serviceuser.language
    com.sap.aii.applicationsystem.serviceuser.name = XIAPPLUSER
    com.sap.aii.applicationsystem.serviceuser.pwd
in the exchange profile to make sure they got the right passwords
    BTW
did this scenario work in the past?

I have worked my way through the assistant and nothing works. I have tried connecting in disc mode but although the screen on the ipod is showing that the device is charged and that it is in disc mode as soon as I connect it to the computer it comes up with the error message 'please wait very low battery' and stays like that until I disconnect when it appears to be OK again. I have tried on both pc and mac.

We want to write a custom report using ABAP so Pls tell why the status u2018Holdingu2019 and u2018To be deliveredu2019 are present in message monitoring of RWB but not in the status (MSGSTATE) field of SXMSPMAST table.
My need is to write a report to get the messages based on the these status from table level.
Please let me know the table name and field name for this and the table name for the desciption of the status of XI messages at Adapter level.

  • Change message status after release purchase order

    Hi,
    I'm a newbie in MM...
When a purchase order is created, the message status is not processed (yellow light) until the purchase order is released. Then the message is printed and the status changes to green light.
As far as I see, I can't find in the spro where is this customizing set or if there is a user-exit or badi for changing the message status depending on the release indicator.
    Thanks in advance!
    Jen

    Hi Jen,
Complete the condition record, for example, like this:
    - Transaction: MN04
    - Output Type: NEU
    - Choose third option: Purchasing Output Determination Document Type
    - Document Type: NB
    - Function: VN (Vendor)
    - Medium: 1 (Print output)
    - Date/Time: 4 (Send immediately (when saving the application))
Select the line and press button "Communication". Complete the output device and mark the option "Print immediately"
So, when the PO is created the system generates the message with yellow status. Then, when the PO is released, the message status will be green

  • Each time I have a message ''please wait while windows configures iTunes''.

when i start my itunes each time i have a message ''please wait while windows configures iTunes''. i recently Upgrad to 9.0.2. i already uninstall and install.
    pls help me.
    thank you in advance .

when i start my itunes each time i have a message ''please wait while windows configures iTunes''.
The iTunes desktop shortcut is an "advertised shortcut". When you click it, the first thing it does is check the iTunes.msi and determines (against the installation database in there) whether or not there's any files and registry entries and whatnot for iTunes missing on your PC. If it finds something missing, it'll do a repair install of iTunes, which is the "configures" message you're seeing.
As to why it's always doing it in your case, and fixing it ... we'd better first work out if there's real damage to the iTunes stuff on the PC or if the shortcut/itunes.msi/registry machinery is just a bit confused.
Apart from the "configures" message you're getting every time you launch iTunes, is it working okay? Are you able to sync, play music, use the Store and so forth without any trouble? Or are you getting other problems as well?
