Migrate WebDB reports into HTML DB

Hi,
We have a custom application Build on Oracle 8.0 and WebDb and we would like to migrate these webdb reports on to HTML DB on 10g database. So, my question is, can we re-create the webdb reports in html db or can we convert directly into html db. Also, is it easy task or difficult one? also would like to know any better solution for this?
Could you please share your views on this.
thx
Veeresham

Jeff - I don't understand any of that. There is an attribute of the authentication scheme, Invalid Session Page. Set that to the page ID of the desired login page. If that page has a login process (like that on page 101), then it may need to be changed to reference items on the actual login page instead of items on page 101, e.g., P101_USERNAME. And don't put branches on the login page that are intended to fire after the authentication takes place. The login API does a redirect for you based on the after-login page argument in the login process on the page.

    Hi Frns,
    I wanna convert webi report into html format...
    Is there any possibility in bo???

    Hi Riaz,
    As per my knowledge Webi report export to HTML format is not possible in BI 4.1
    You can raise a request in SAP IDEA's place

  • Save a the output of a SAP report into Html

    Hi , I have a SAP report which in MM to determine pro rate factor of oil & water for the  given combination of  plant, storage location, material, period and   year  . When we run the report it produces a report which can be printed and signed by managers, I wnat to save this to N drive automatically for future use just incase something goes wrong .So I want to save this automatically in html in the N drive, how do I do that please.
    Thanks

    Hi ,
    try this
    USE THE FM
              CALL FUNCTION 'WWW_HTML_MERGER'
                   EXPORTING
                        template    = rep_template
                   IMPORTING
                        html_table  = html[]
                   CHANGING
                        merge_table = merge_table[]
                   EXCEPTIONS
                        OTHERS      = 1.
    I think this will convert the output into HTML format.
    So in the HTML[] you will have the data.
    NOW upload this data into the N drive.
    I got this code from
    include FGRWEF98B_F98_BATCH_OUTPUT_CLO.
    Check this include .

  • Migration of Crystals Reports into OBIEE

    Hi,
    I have to migrate Crystal Reports into OBIEE without using any third party tool.
    How could it be done..any one can help me please...???

    Just follow the instructions bellow:-
    Reports generated automatically in the 7.5 Excel client that use the EVDRE function with a standard use of built-in parameters can be converted using the EPM add-in to a native 10.0 report.
    EVDRE migration has been developed in order to migrate as many features and use cases as possible, but reports that have been heavily customized may not be totally converted automatically and may require some manual modifications. Nevertheless, the objective of the migration is to provide usable reports at the end of the migration. The exact conditions include:
    o Multiple EVDRE reports in a complex arrangement or sharing some KeyRanges
    o Formulas to calculate parameters
    o Use of cell reference indirections to determine EVDRE parameters.
    o Use of VBA to call the internal object model of the 7.5 Excel client.
    o EVDRE inserted in another EVDRE.

  • Layout issue while trying Migrate Oracle Report to XML publisher Reports

    Hi
    I am trying to Convert Seeded Oracle Reports (rdf) to BI Publisher reports, in doing so encounter layout issues. The layout of the RTF , PDF or HTML generated by BI Publisher is different form the text, PDF or HTML outputs generated by the concurrent report. The problem with the BI Publisher template and out put
    Is, the lay out is getting distorted .
    Steps to archive the migration :
    -     download the rdf from the server to local m/c.
    -     execute Forms 9i Util rwconverter to generate a xml
    -     use the oracle.apps.xdo.rdfparser.RTFTemplateGenerator API to generate a RTF template of the report layout
    -     Then use this template to generate a XSL via oracle.apps.xdo.template.RTFProcessor API
    -     The Apply the XSL on the XML data output of the report using oracle.apps.xdo.template.FOProcessor to generate RTF , PDF & HTML files.
    Name of the Report used for migration “FSG - Report Detail Listing” , responsibility GL super User. This was just a random report we picked-up for trial.
    The layout of these files seems to distorted than the layout of the original report output as generated by the rdf report.
    Pls suggest some means to resolve this or any pointers towards what causing this could be of help.
    -     Shudipto

    The process of "converting" an old Oracle Reports rdf into a BIP report is more akin to writing a brand new report in BIP than to what most people would consider a true conversion.
    The conversion routine outlined by Oracle just gives you a starting point for converting RDF layouts into BIP, and nothing more. In regards to the data define it does somewhat better generating your queries and XML layout (but honestly, that is the easy part), but even for the data define it will lose your formula columns as well as report triggers.
    I have used the converter on several dozen rdf files and I have yet to see one that is better than 10-20% ready for use after the conversion process.
    I would strongly suggest that you only convert the reports that you have to convert (for enhancements, modifications, etc). If it ain't broke in old Oracle Reports, dont' try to fix it in BIP.

  • Using webmail in Mozilla Firefox 17.0.1 on Windows 8, original messages get turned into html code when I reply to or forward them. How can I fix this?

    I have tried re-setting Firefox and working in Safe Mode, but the problem still recurs. I use Fastmail as my webmail server and never had this problem on Windows XP or Windows 7. When I reply to a message, the original message is turned into html code. The same happens when I forward a message.
    My JavaScript is up to date, in case that's relevant. The Fastmail support team suggested the problem would be Firefox-related.
    The other function of my Fastmail account that isn't working properly in Firefox 17.0.1. is the search function.
    Do I need to get new plugins or something? I don't know where the HTML editor is in Firefox or if that's what's wrong.
    Regards,
    Rachel

    Thanks for your reply, cor-el. Norton 360 came pre-installed on the laptop as part of the package I bought. I haven't changed the pre-set firewall or anti-virus settings. Should I change something?
    I will try rebooting in Windows Safe mode as you say and report if that makes any difference.

  • Margin Issue(pdf) in migrating 6i report to 10g

    Hi,
    After I migrated the report from 6i to 10g, I found the report printing issue comes out. Every report printing is not same as 6i, move the data to left and top about half cm. I searched this forum, I got clue was i can add reports_add_hwmargin into registry, then I can add printer margin into the report. I found it works when i run the reprot from 10g builder. But when I generated it into pdf format through IDS then print out, the problem is still there. How can add printer margin into report with pdf format?
    My environment is
    app server 10g
    report 10g,
    windows xp
    Thanks in advance.
    appcat

    Try a Compile All ( Ctrl - K ), then Ctrl - T.
    Not sure about XP, but in Vista, the 10g Builder and batch compiler will crash if a PLL Library is not available when the form is compiled.
    Make sure the PLL Library is available, and all its objects compile in the 10g setup.
    If that does not help, then try a semicolon-to-semicolon replace all, then save the fmb. Then restart the Forms Builder, and open the fmb again, and try compiling.
    Here is an old link describing the issue:

  • Get report into PDF - with header logo

    I want to batch generate Discoverer reports into PDF files, with the company logo in the header.
    So, for batch generation - the easiest thing is to write a script which calls Desktop. Ok, no problem.
    Oh, sorry, you can't export to PDF using desktop. Grrr. So okay, I use a utility named Neevia to take the html export from Desktop and covert that to PDF.
    Oh, so sorry! Export to html from Desktop does not output the logo!
    This is on version 10.1 (not that things sound improved more recently).
    I'm tempted to try using a print to pdf print driver, but I need to run hundreds of reports... typically those print drivers (PrimoPDF for example) will pop up and ask for the file name to be specified. I don't see a way to have the batch script answer that prompt with a unique name for each report.
    Ideas folks? It all seems like a Catch-22 to try to get PDF + Logo + Batch generation. Pick 1.

    Hi,
    We use print to PDF print driver to generate PDF. You can set the default directory so that the PDF driver does not prompt for the filename. The filename defaults to the same name as the .DIS file. We use Adobe Professional for this but I am sure you can do the same with other print drivers. What is a pain, and I really wish Oracle would fix this, is that you cannot print from a workbook stored in the database so all the workbooks have to be stored locally. Using a VBScript we can generate dozens of PDF reports overnight without any problems.

  • How to load a large amount of HTML into HTML region?

    I am trying to display a clickable image map (HTML <map>) in a region. The HTML source for the image map is fairly large and will not fit in the Apex editor (HTTP 400 error when I Apply Changes). I would also rather not manage that much HTML in the Apex web editor. So I stored the code in a file and added it to my applications file storage.
    I have tried various methods of getting the HTML to load when the page is rendered. I tried a URL region, but that leads to all kinds of ACL/security issues that we do not want the customner to have to deal with. i also tried some PL/SQL:
    DECLARE
    l_file_id NUMBER;
    BEGIN
    SELECT id
    INTO l_file_id
    FROM APEX_APPLICATION_FILES
    WHERE filename = 'myhtml';
    APEX_UTIL.GET_FILE(
    p_file_id => l_file_id,
    p_inline => 'YES');
    END;
    But that just replaces the entire page, not just the region it's defined in (even when the HTML is without <head> etc).
    Various attampes wih #APP_IMAGES#myhtml and &APP_IMAGES.myhtml just give me the translation of the APP_IMAGES variable.
    So, how do I load a large chunk of HTML into a region dynamically at run time? I also need this to interact with APEX in the sense that JavaScript will set APEX variables and cause a SUBMIT when the use clicks on the image map.

    Hi Andy,
    ATD wrote:
    Does your HTML define the regions/points on the map using AREA tags?Yes. it is actually generated using MapSefrver from huge tables of SDO_GEOMETRY (Oracle Spatial).
    If so, you could define a report template that does this and use this for a report based on a table that has the settings for shape, coords, href etcHmm, the code (HTML map) is auto-generated so if I understand you correctly, this might be difficult. One of the HTML is approximately 180KB of text.
    I found a way to do this using dynamic PL/SQL. I created a new table that has a varchar filename and a CLOB for the file data. I then imported the HTML into the table using SQL Developer (copy&paste, nice!). I then created an HTML region and used the following:
    declare
    html clob;
    len number;
    st number;
    c number;
    begin
    select length(data)
    into len
    from FILES
    where name = 'state_query.html';
    st := 1;
    while len > 0
    loop
    if len > 32000 then
    c := 32000;
    else
    c := len;
    end if;
    select substr( data,st,c )
    into html
    from FILES
    where name = 'state_query.html';
    htp.p( html );
    st := st + c;
    len := len - c;
    end loop;
    end;

    Hi Friends,
    I really appreciate your helping tendency. Let me explain the whole scenario.
    My application basically consists of
    Forms [32 Bit] Version 5.0.6.8.0 (Production)
    Report Builder 3.0.5.8.0
    Oracle Enterprise Edition Release 9.2.0.1.0 - Production
    Now we migrated our database into Oracle Database 10g Express Edition Release 10.2.0.1.0 - Production. After the migration all the existing forms and report individually were running without any problem. But there was a huge problem. Whenever I tried to call any report from any form the report engine appeared and then stopped responding. So report calling from forms was not possible after the database migration. I was suggested by someone from OTN forum to migrate my forms and reports into 6i. I have started doing the migration using ifcmp60. WIth forms 6i, reports can be called from forms. But I am facing problem in every other steps. There are many things are not working after the migration though the migration log shows no error. For example, COMMIT_FORM, EXECUTE_QUERY (for detail table), LOV, TOOL.GETVAR lots of things are not working.
    My application has 200 forms and 250 reports.
    Please help and advise on:
    How to call reports from form when the database is XE Or
    How to overcome the stated migration problem
    Rgds,
    Luther

    Dear Mark:
    I have two choices. I can either migrate to 6i or I can go with the existing 4.5. If I go with 4.5 ......the reports are not being called from forms. This problem is happening after I changed the database from 9i to XE. Please advise what to do so that I can keep my forms in 4.5, database in XE and can call reports from forms.
    Rgds,
    Luther

    Hi all !!
    Could you please send me code to translate xml data into html using jaxp
    i am sending my xml file and xsl file
    its urgent

    </node>
    </scenarioReport>
    my xsl file is::
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    <xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform">
    <xsl:output method="html"/>
    <xsl:template match="/">
    <html>
    <body>
    <h2> Scenario Report</h2>
    <table border="1">
    <tr bgcolor="#9acd32">
    <th align="left">Nodename</th>
    <th align="left">netObjId</th>
    <th align="left">Result</th>
    <th align="left">Report</th>
    <th align="left">Action</th>
    </tr>
    <xsl:for-each select="scenarioReport/node">
    <tr>
    <td><xsl:value-of select="@name"/></td>
    <td><xsl:value-of select="netObjId"/></td>
    <td bgcolor="#ffffff "><xsl:value-of select="result"/></td>
    <td><xsl:value-of select="report"/></td>
    <td><xsl:value-of select="action"/></td>
    </tr>
    </xsl:for-each>
    </table>
    </body>
    </html>
    </xsl:template>
    </xsl:stylesheet>

    Must be something wrong with your XSL.
    However apparently it was so urgent that you didn't have the time to look at what you posted. They just "fixed" the forum software and apparently it doesn't escape HTML that you type in any more. Or stuff that looks like HTML, either. So your post was unreadable.
    If your deadline hasn't passed, try reposting that code surrounded by [pre] and [/pre].

  • How to add a report into the SAP-SCRIPT .using PERFORM ......ENDPERFORM

    My question is that How to add a report into the SAP-SCRIPT .
    by using PERFORM ......ENDPERFORM
    I don't know how to used it .

    Hi Sandeep,
    Please check this link

    Calling ABAP Subroutines: PERFORM
    You can use the PERFORM command to call an ABAP subroutine (form) from any program, subject to the normal ABAP runtime authorization checking. You can use such calls to subroutines for carrying out calculations, for obtaining data from the database that is needed at display or print time, for formatting data, and so on.
    PERFORM commands, like all control commands, are executed when a document is formatted for display or printing. Communication between a subroutine that you call and the document is by way of symbols whose values are set in the subroutine.
    Syntax in a form window:
    /: PERFORM <form> IN PROGRAM <prog>
    /: USING &INVAR1&
    /: USING &INVAR2&
    /: CHANGING &OUTVAR1&
    /: CHANGING &OUTVAR2&
    /: ENDPERFORM
    INVAR1 and INVAR2 are variable symbols and may be of any of the four SAPscript symbol types.
    OUTVAR1 and OUTVAR2 are local text symbols and must therefore be character strings.
    The ABAP subroutine called via the command line stated above must be defined in the ABAP report prog as follows:
    FORM <form> TABLES IN_TAB STRUCTURE ITCSY
    OUT_TAB STRUCTURE ITCSY.
    ENDFORM.
    The values of the SAPscript symbols passed with /: USING... are now stored in the internal table IN_TAB . Note that the system passes the values as character string to the subroutine, since the field Feld VALUE in structure ITCSY has the domain TDSYMVALUE (CHAR 80). See the example below on how to access the variables.
    The internal table OUT_TAB contains names and values of the CHANGING parameters in the PERFORM statement. These parameters are local text symbols, that is, character fields. See the example below on how to return the variables within the subroutine.
    From within a SAPscript form, a subroutine GET_BARCODE in the ABAP program QCJPERFO is called. Then the simple barcode contained there (u2018First pageu2019, u2018Next pageu2019, u2018Last pageu2019) is printed as local variable symbol.
    Definition in the SAPscript form:
    /: PERFORM GET_BARCODE IN PROGRAM QCJPERFO
    /: USING &PAGE&
    /: USING &NEXTPAGE&
    /: CHANGING &BARCODE&
    /: ENDPERFORM
    / &BARCODE&
    Coding of the calling ABAP program:
    REPORT QCJPERFO.
    FORM GET_BARCODE TABLES IN_PAR STUCTURE ITCSY
    OUT_PAR STRUCTURE ITCSY.
    DATA: PAGNUM LIKE SY-TABIX, "page number
    NEXTPAGE LIKE SY-TABIX. "number of next page
    READ TABLE IN_PAR WITH KEY u2018PAGEu2019.
    CHECK SY-SUBRC = 0.
    PAGNUM = IN_PAR-VALUE.
    READ TABLE IN_PAR WITH KEY u2018NEXTPAGEu2019.
    CHECK SY-SUBRC = 0.
    NEXTPAGE = IN_PAR-VALUE.
    READ TABLE IN_PAR WITH KEY u2018BARCODEu2019.
    CHECK SY-SUBRC = 0.
    IF PAGNUM = 1.
    OUT_PAR-VALUE = u2018|u2019. "First page
    ELSE.
    OUT_PAR-VALUE = u2018||u2019. "Next page
    ENDIF.
    IF NEXTPAGE = 0.
    OUT_PAR-VALUE+2 = u2018Lu2019. "Flag: last page
    ENDIF.
    MODIFY OUT_PAR INDEX SY-TABIX.
    ENDFORM.
    Best regards,

  • How to export spool file into HTML file

    Hi,
    I have one Oracle procedure which meets our business requirement. I am keeping the output data into a log file and I am sharing that log file to the users.
    Sample Code:
    spool path\logile.log
    declare
    begin
    dbms_output.Put_line('output will come here');
    end;
    Now I want to spool the same output data into a HTML file and need to share with the users.
    Can any one please guide me, how to export our spool data into HTML format?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello 909127,
    welcome to the forum.
    This is the forum for the tool Oracle Reports, not a general forum for reporting. Your question might be better posted in {forum:id=75} or {forum:id=144}.
    Nevertheless you need to give us more information, how your output looks like now and what you expect in HTML.
    Regards
    Marcus
