Migration Verifier error

I am trying to run Migration Verifier on Sybase 12.5 and Oracle 9i databases. After about 30 minutes of sitting at the command prompt (using the windows version), it came back with the following error:
C:\TEMP\omv>java -jar dmv.jar c:\temp\omv\config\dbInfosybase12.prop c:\temp\omv
\report\report.txt
DMV-074 Sybase Adaptive Server SQL exception while getting row count: Incorrect
syntax near the keyword 'null'.
Any ideas for why this may be happening?
Thank you in advance!

This points to a classpath issue, if you are using the same version of drivers as specified in the dmv release notes.

  • Migration Assistant Error Some files from ".journal" could not be transferred?

    Hello, world.
A few days ago I replaced my the 97% full 100GB hard drive in my Dad's Core Duo 2.0GHz Macbook Pro with a 500GB but I received an ominous error at the end of the Migration Assistant transfer.  Here are the steps I took:
    1.  Replaced physical drive.
    2.  Booted up from OS X Snow Leopard disc.
    3.  Formatted new drive as OS X Journaled using Disk Utility.
    4.  Installed OS X Snow Leopard on the new drive.
    5.  When prompted by OS X Installation, I selected transfer data from another volume.
    6.  Placed the old drive in an enclosure and connected via USB.
    7.  At this point I let Migration Assistant take over.
It took an hour and a half or more to transfer the data and everything SEEMS fine.  However, at the end I received the following error message from Migration Assistant:
    Errors and Warnings:
    - 2013-11-02 16:15:49 -0400 Some files from ".journal" could not be transferred
    - 2013-11-02 16:15:49 -0400 Some files from ".journal_info_block" could not be transferred
I have searched around but I've been unable to find any information on this.  In other instances of these warnings, people seemed to be pointing the finger at moving from PowerPC macs to Intel Macs but this was Intel-->Intel.
I did find someone suggest one other thing in another thread:
"My reading of those error messages indicates that there's something wrong with the journaling files on the PB. I suggest that you disable and reenable it on the PB"
However, I do not know how to enable or disable journaling without reformatting the drive from scratch as journaled or non-journaled.
    (post found here:  https://discussions.apple.com/message/8675337#8675337)
Question:  Should I be worried and does anyone know specifically what this error indicates?  Is it possible that my dad's old hard drive was NOT formatted for journaling and MA was looking for these journal related files and unable to find them?
Thank you all in advance for your help,
    Nick

What options did you select for Migration Assistant to transfer? For instance, did you select network & computer settings?
"Opt" sounds like the name of a folder, not a file type. On your 13" MacBook, do you have any folder by that name, especially in your home folder?
Also, have you run Disk Utility's *verify disk* check on the MacBook's drive?

  • How do I view Migrate Data errors - Access 2003 - Oracle 10g

I'm trying to use the SQL Developer to migrate data from an Access 2003 database to an Oracle 10g database. I followed the instructions found here:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/migration/workbench/files/omwb_getstarted.html
I was able to complete every step except the actual data move. I exported the xml for the Access database, I captured the export and then ran the generation scripts on my target Oracle database (I'm using the same schema for the migration repository and the actual data). It created the tables with only one or two errors which I resolved.
Now, when I select Migration->Migrate Data, I get the dialog that appears to start 4 or 5 threads and attempts to migrate each table. They all error and do not transfer any rows. I can see that there's one error per table, but I can't see the error text. I just know that an error occurred. Is there a log somewhere or is the error displayed somewhere else? How do I know what's gone wrong?
    Thanks.

I too receive unexplained error counts using the Migrate Data menu selection and unexplained failures using the Generate Data Move Scripts menu selection. Permissions granted by role or direct grants should not be a problem, but a Migrate Data error appears in the Migration Log panel at the bottom of the SQL Developer window, "Failed to disable constraints: ORA-00942 ... ". No further details available on what constraints or why the error. No other errors were detected while following the instructions found in the Oracle SQL Developer Migration Workbench Getting Started guide. SQL Developer never migrates the data from the existing Access 2000 mdb file to the newly created schema objects in Oracle 10g using either method. The following roles and privileges have been granted to both the repository owner and the target schema owner:

Operating system for both Access 2000 and Oracle 10g is Windows XP PRO SP2.
Oracle SQL Developer is version 1.1.2.25 build MAIN-25.79 on Windows XP PRO SP2. All three are on the same PC.
Since only the last step failed, I created a User DSN with the ODBC administrator. Then, linked the newly created Oracle table to Access via ODBC using the DSN created. Next, I created an append query with the source being the Access table and the target being the Oracle table. I moved the data by pressing the red exclamation mark.

  • Payment verify error!

I play KABAM / Hobbit app on an I-pad and I-phone daily. Mid game gold purchase on I-pad the app crashed (diff issue) and purchase transaction did not go through. Now, every time I open the game I'm asked for my apple I'd and password... then iget message " Payment verify error!"... close that and then I can play.
It's very irritating... I don't care about the 50 gold I never got... I just want to not have to sigh in in every time I open this app. I have a lot of $$$ invested in it and I would hate to loose it all... so I'm chicken to delete app without first asking the question. Any insite into this would be appriciated! Thx

I have this problem as well. I can make purchases but it is really annoying that I have to enter my account password twice and verify my payment information for every purchase I make.

  • Oracle Database Migration Verifier - Can it be used for diff table structur

    Hello,
We have re-engineered the existing sybase tables to a new structure in Oracle for few of the tables. For example a table in sybase is normalized to two tables in oracle. In these cases can the "Oracle Database Migration Verifier" be mapped such that the columns in one table in sybase be mapped to two table is Oracle with their respective column names.
In a gist can the tool be used even if the structure is not the same in the source and targer databases.
Please let me know if you need more clarifications regarding my query.
    Regards,
    Ramanathan.K

not really. The DMV was a simple tool for verifiying that what you now had in Oracle was what you had in Sybase. It does not do what you are expecting.

  • Email Migration Tool Error

    Hi,
I get an error by using the Email Migration Tool Error with OCS Release 2 on a Linux RH AS 2.0 single box server:

I had an 9.2 database already installed on my laptop. I installed the migration tool in c:\oracle\ora92\oes\migration and set ORACLE_HOME=c:\oracle\ora92.

Blacklisting the ahci module does indeed get rid of the error. Would be nice to figure out why it was conflicting with the ahci module though.
I have not yet tried the 173xx drivers, but the latest drivers for the Quadro FX 580 are the 256.53 drivers according to nvidia.

As for (The following projects are missing the workspace webs) error, still getting them.
Thanks all for the Quick Reply's.

  • Script Repository "publisher could not be verified" error

    Hello,
I'm trying to add a script to the script repository, but when I test it to download it, I get the "publisher could not be verified" error. My script is not signed. I do not get this error when downloading other user's scripts, even though
their scripts are not signed either. Is this an issue with signing my script? Why does my script receive this "publisher" error while other scripts do not? I don't want to scare users away with a big red error when they try to download my script!

    Not a scripting issue.
You likely need to either zip the script or give it a different extension.  The message is from your browser not from the repository.
    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  • Hostname verifier errors in web service client

We have a Web service consumer that runs in WebLogic, and we're receiving a hostname verifier error whenever the consumer attempts to contact the external Web service. The error is happening because the certificate's subject is for a hostname that is different than the URL that the consumer uses.
One possible solution is to write a custom hostname verifier, but we'd prefer to not do that. Can this error be mitigated if we import the external Web service's certificate is added to the WebLogic truststore?
    Thank you

    NO, it cannot be mitigated..
Importing the certificate into the trust store means you trust the certificate, but if the certificate's CN doesn't match the host name... then we have to disable host name verification/ write a custom host name verifier..

  • This program cannot be verified error

When itunes tries to update two applications, Aurora Feint and Holdem specifically, I get a program could not be verified error. Anyone know how to fix this so that they install?

Yes you can download apps you paid for again without paying for it again. As long as you are using the same Apple ID from when you made that purchase.

  • Reg:Verify Error

When execeting my application am getting Java.lang.verify error with Incompatible object argument for function call..
I dont have any idea abt that verify error..Any one please suggest me abt this error.

It would help if you would post the error message you are getting, probably along with the declaration of the method you are trying to call, and the code for the call site and the declarations of the arguments you are trying to pass.
Where did you get the class file from? Verification errors are the result of incorrect Java source compilers, or because someone used an "obfuscator" on the class file after it was generated, or maybe from using some add-on tools like profilers, aspect-oriented programming tools, etc., during class loading.

  • Query on Oracle Database migration verifier

    Hi,
I would like to know whether the migration verifier can be used to verify the data migration done between two different Oracle database, where the schema structures of both the databases are totally different.
    Thanks,
    Vijaya.

What "migration verifier" are you talking about?
I would be reasonably confident that no automated tool could verify data migration between different schema designs unless you told the tool about every mapping your ETL routine did. If you can do that, though, you can always roll your own queries.
