Missing adapter "templates" - am not able to create communication channel

Hi guys!
I need to create communication channel in the Directory, but I can't, because if I want to select channel type (soap, http, ...) I get screen with information: No objects found.
What could be wrong?

In the Integration Repository, you should have a software component SAP BASIS, which contains the adapter metadata. If this is not there, you should import the software component according to the installation guide:
Importing the XI Content for Software Component Version SAP Basis 6.40 SR1
1. Copy XI3_0_SAP_BASIS_6.40_09_00.tpz from <Components DVD>/XI /XI_CONTENT to directory /usr/sap/<SAPSID>/SYS/global/xi/repository_server/import/
2. On your SAP XI host, call transaction SXMB_IFR.
3. Choose Repository (Design).
4. Choose → Tools → Import Design Objects
2. Choose the file /usr/sap/<SAPSID>/SYS/global/xi/repository_server/import XI3_0_SAP_BASIS_6.40_09_00.tpz
5. Import the file.

Hi,
The error could be because
1) The URL referenced from RWB (Communictaion Channel) is incorrect.
        Try accesing the link directly http://HOST:JAVAPORT/mdt/channelmonitorservlet
If you are able to open the window with out nay error, it means you url referenced from SLD is wrong. Correct your SLD and update the cache.
2) If you are not able to access above URL, it means the java service is not running to accept your request, check in visual admin if any of the services are stopped. Try restarting the same.

GRC 10 ERM Not able to create Business/Single Role

Hello Experts,
In GRC 10, ERM, i have completed all the pre-requisites i.e. Maintaining Connectors, Configuration for Role Management, Maintained and generated the default MSMP workflow (methodology), maintaining role owners.
Now when i am trying to create a business role or let's say a single role i am unable to to do so as the edit button is disabled.
I just can't get through this.
Have i missed anything, and for the record when i tried to Import the Role(Under Role mass maintenance) from backend system i was successfully able to do so and that way only i could get my first role in GRC via import.
Now if i open this role and try to edit it, can;t do again, because edit button is disabled. But if i perform Role Update(Under Role Mass Maintenance) i can successfully change the attributes and other information and am able to see the new values.
Why is it like this, i am not able to create Roles in GRC, just i am able to import and update from backend.
This is really frustrating..what i am missing over here.

1) After opening BRM, Create button is not greyed out. Its available, and if i click on it, then i see all the possible type of Roles that i can create i.e. Business role, composite role, Group, PD Profile, Profile, Single Role, Template etc.
2) When i try to edit a role by clicking on "Open" , and when the role opens, and then if I click on "Additional Details" (you said "More Details" , i believe you meant that only) link, then also the Edit button is not enabled. Its still greyed.
What else could this issue be possibly about.
Configuration- Check.
Authorizations- Check.
Workflow- Check.
Should i raise it with SAP.

I'm not able to create a iphoto calendar with the correct birthday entries.

I use the latest Iphoto version and OS X 10.9.
I tried to create a calendar in iphoto that includes all birthday information of my family. Unfortunately I'm not able to do this.
I tried two differnt ways to get the information into the calendar.
First of all I' tried to use the option of the calendar to get the information of my contacts and it partly worked. Some dates were missing and I was not able to modify or add additional birthdays in the calendar. I checked my contacts and the information was there but not shown in the Iphoto Calendar.
Therefore I have to get the information into the calendar in a different way. For that I created a new calendar in ICal and created for each Birthday entries.
I select the option in the Iphoto calendar to show the new calendar in iPhoto. But the result was worse than with the first solution. Only few entries was shown in the calender.
Do anybody have an idea how can I solve this issue.

Do the birthdays (from Contacts) show correctly in the Calendar app? Sometimes there is a formatting problem with the date string in the Contacts. If the Birthdays do not show correctly in the Calendar.app, try to delete them from Contacs and enter them again, and check, if they now are showing correctly in Calendar. Quit both Contacts and Calendar.
Then restart iPhoto, and in the "Settings" for your Photo Calendar disable the Birthdays option, and then turn it on again.
Any changes you do to the birthdays in Contacts may only appear in iPhoto Calendars after Calendar or Contacts wrote their databases, and iPhoto will read these databases, when you enable the "Birthdays" option. Toggling this option on and off will ensure, that the new Contacs info will be read.

in transaction ses_admin, i created an index for business object BAS_BUPA of type 1,ie individual account.
However, i am not able to create index for BAS_BUPA of type 2
It says "No entry in table SIC_INDEX_MAIN for index object BAS_BUPA and index 2"

The index is for Business Partner, so it includes both Persons and Organizations. So, only one index needs to be created for both.
The functioning is correct, just that i missed it.

Not able to create EAR file for WAR file extracted project

Hi Experts,
I am trying to import a WAR file, make changes to the project and create an EAR file for the same. I am not able to remove import
errors despite of adding required jar files to it.
Also, I am not able to create an EAR file for the same.
I have copied the steps here with screen shots. Below are the steps :
Import WAR file in NWDS 7.3 – Enterprise Portal perspective
Select WAR file to create WAR and EAR project for it.
Project created with import errors. e.g – com.sapportals.portal.prt*
Found jar file from Class – target jar file table.
e.g – for Class com.sapportals.portal.prt.resource.IResource needed jar file is tc~epbc~prt~api.jar
Copied required jar files in WEB-INF -> lib folder.
Configure Build path and Add External jars.

I think errors should go now, but they still exist.
Next I right click on WAR project and tried updating related EAR project.
Next, Export EAR file from EAR project.
I have tried both EAR types.
But EAR file is not created.
Please help me in removing the errors.

Does this happen with all ID files or just some files? What OS? Try to create a one work ID file with Times New Roman and let the file contain a single word? Can you create a pdf?

Not able to create J2EE user DDIC in portal

I am trying to configure the BI 7.0 system in EP 7.0. My systems are running on Windows 2003 32 bit edition. SP level is SPS11 & SP10
I have configured the UME where datasource is ABAP system. After using the supportdesk tool I am getting the below three erros in the system.
Import of Web Templates in active version will fail because the J2EE user DDIC is not properly mapped to an ABAP user other than DDIC Maintain a user mapping for J2EE user DDIC - see note 945055 for details
Check could not be executed because retrieval of WebAS ABAP settings failed Check connectivity to WebAS ABAP and make sure the ABAP coding correction from note 937697 is applied in the latest version available

To resolve these issues i tried to create user id DDIC in portal but I am not able to create it. It is giving below error

As it is trying to create this user id in ABAP datasource. Please let me know how to create DDIC in J2EE engine where ABAP is the datasource.

Not able to create new users or groups

hi all,
We have configured multiple LDAPs by changing XML file.
But now we are not able to create new users or groups.It is giving error saying that "Adapter is configured as read-only"

For multiple LDAPs to work we have downloaded the Xml file namely "Flat hierarchy + Database "
We made the necessary changes and then uploaded it.
Now we want to create users or groups in portal-database and not in LDAP. But it is throwing error saying that "Adapter is read only". We suppose that it is trying to create users and groups in LDAP.
So can anyone help us to create users or groups in portal-database.

I am not able to create EnterpriseBean in NWDS

I am trying to create a Module in NWDS and referring this blog.

I have created an EJB module and
1.created EJB of type StatelessSession Bean
2.<b>unchecked</b> generate default interfaces
3.I have deleted default Remote,Home, Local,LocalHome interfaces and given like com.sap.aii.af.mp.module.ModuleRemote.....
com.sap.aii.af.mp.module.ModuleLocalHome
and clicked on Finish and i got an error like <b>not able to create EnterpriseBean.</b>
How to rectify this error. Help me please.

Hi Ganesh,
Do the following steps...
1.created EJB of type StatelessSession Bean
2.Dont uncheck generate default interfaces
3. Fininsh.
Later in ejb-jar.xml file, modify Home,Remote,Local,LocalHome entries.

Not able to Create TABLESPACE PSAPROLL|PSAPUNDO    with 728 MB

Hi Experts,
               When i an trying to upgrade PI 7.0 to pi 7.1 with EHP1 in checks roadmap in abap it throws error like
ERROR> Insufficient free space in the database as follows:
Create TABLESPACE PSAPROLL|PSAPUNDO    with 728 MB
INFO> To adjust the size of your tablespaces, you may use the commands
      in file '/oracle/stage/upg/abap/log/ORATBSXT.LST' using the 'brspace' utility.
      Please copy the file before making changes, as it may be
      overwritten in subsequent upgrade phases.
In the location
'/oracle/stage/upg/abap/log/ORATBSXT.LST
These are examples for brspace commands to extend/create the required
tablespaces. You can adapt them according to your own needs.
Add option '-c force' to call the commands in batch mode.
Change option '-autoextend' to 'yes' and set '-maxsize' and '-incrsize'
to create autoextensible segments.
brspace -function tscreate -tablespace PSAPROLL|PSAPUNDO -owner SAPSR3 -size 728 -autoe
xtend no
info while creating : PSAPUNDO: Command not found.
with the help of this above command i am not able to create the tablespace.
My Existing tabelspaces are
PSAPSR3
PSAPSR3700
PSAPSR3DB
PSAPSR3USR
PSAPTEMP
PSAPUNDO1
SYSAUX
SYSTEM
Plz help me on this ASAP.

Your real problem is that PSAPUNDO does not exist. For an unknown reason you are using PSAPUNDO1. so, you must fix this:
shutdown your DB.
rename tablespace PSAPUNDO1 to PSAPUNDO. this can be done with:
brspace -c force -f tsalter -a rename -t PSAPUNDO1 -n PSAPUNDO
you will also need to change parameter undo_tablespace to PSAPUNDO
if using initSID.ora, change this manually. or else, do this:
alter system set undo_tablespace=PSAPUNDO scope=both;
you might need to restart your database.

Not able to create Lead from IC agent role

Hi Experts,
I am finding an strange problem while creating lead.I am uisng CRM2007.
I am able to create Lead with Business Role as Marketing Professional, but not able to create the Lead with IC agent buisness role. I had created a new Transaction type for this. WE have given the full authorization to the PFCG role attached to this business role but still i am not able to create.
Its giving an error Message '' No Transaction Type Available ''
Please suggest what i am missing in the configuration.

hi arun kumar,
Goto SPRO CRM->transaction>basic settings>define transaction types.
Select the transaction type that you are using for lead and in "channel" entires select interaction center webclient.this will allow you to create the lead in interaction center webclient.

Hi,
Have you done relevant configuration for your transaction type in Business Transaction Profile. If not, you need to include your Lead Transaction type in the Business Transaction Profile that is assigned to your Business Role.
Path for Business Transaction Profile
CRM -> Interaction Center WebClient -> Business Transaction -> Define Business Transaction Profile
Select your Business Transaction Profile (one assigned to your Business Role
Select "Dependent Business Transaction" and ensure that your Lead Transaction Type is assigned here.
I am sure this will help resolve this issue.

Not able to create function in ALBPM Studio 6.0

I am trying to write a method that returns a string.
But i keep on getting an error which says that return statement can only be present in functions.
Now I tried all possible ways but i was not able to create a function.
Could anyone please help me out with creating a function in ALBPM. else tell me how do i return a string from a method.

I suspect you have written a method having String return type but the method does not have return statement.
Go to the Catalogue component->BPM Object->Right click on the BPM object and select New Method->Give the method name. Now the method window will be opened. Go to the propertied tab of the right most panel. Set the return type as string. In the method window editor write your business logic. The below mentioned code is for sample one.
String msg = "Hello World";
return msg;
