Missing calculate option for field properties

Just downloaded Forms Central yesterday on Mac, can't get text field properties to show option for calculation. There's just a small menu for label justification, text/number/etc, and a few other choices but nothing for calculations as shown on tutorial. I really need help finding the access to include calculations for fields.

In this case you can also use the simplified field notation, though it would be much easier if you were to change your field names. For example, the first row you want to sum the following two fields:
"REG. HRS" and "O.T. HRS"
Since the field names include the period and space characters these need to be escaped, so you'd have to enter the following:
REG\.\ HRS + O\.T\.\ HRS
If you were to change the names to:
"REG_HRS" and "OT_HRS"
The simplified field notation entry would be simply:
REG_HRS + OT_HRS
If you were to further refine the field naming scheme to something like:
Row 1: R1.REG_HRS, R1.OT_HRS
Row 2: R2.REG_HRS, R2.OT_HRS
A single script could be used for all of the rows, and called in the calculate event of each "DAILY TOTAL" field. I realize this may sound like jibberish at the moment, but if you want to pursue it, post again. In the mean time, the simplified field notation option will work.

Hi,
I'm using RIDC on UCM 11g in order to checkin contents.
UCM hosts different projects.
I've the following problem: if somebody (from a different project) insert a new Information Field (e.g. xAnnoPubblicazione) of type Integer - Option List - Select List Validated and it does not make a default value for this field, when I perform checkin using RIDC, it fails with the error:
"oracle.stellent.ridc.protocol.ServiceException: Content item 'UCMRE010132' was not successfully checked in. Value not found in allowed list of options for field 'xAnnoPubblicazione'.
How can I solve this issue? what's the recommended way?

In the database language, you have created a NON NULL column and you are trying to insert a record with NULL value to the column. Of course, it cannot work.
There are three options:
- do not declare the field as NON NULL (that is, you option list has to contain 'blank' as a possible value)
- provide the value on insert
- provide the default value

Selection options for field display text instead of key

Hi All,
In the selection screen in my reports, when the user clicks on the selection options for one the fields to display the possible values they can use. Instead of the key the pop up box only displays the text for that field. This is an issue because one of the fields is equipment number and the user needs to be able to see the key not the descriptions. This is occurring in multiple reports and for multiple fields. I haven't been able to find anything in the infoobject properties or the query properties to change this.

Missing select-options for kna1-kunnr

Hi,
Has anybody ever come across this before ?
I've modified a program to add a new select options for kna1-kunnr and added a bit of code that processes the value entered.
In "development" it all tested OK and the program was transported up to "test".
In "test" the users tested and everything was OK.
The program was eventually transported up to "production" but when I run it in production the select-options for kna1-kunnr does not appear on the selection screen ? However, the when I run the program the additional bit of code that I also included does actually execute.
I haven't been able to look at the code yet because SE38 and SE80 are disabled in "production".
It sounds to me that the selection screen has somehow not generated correctly when the program was transported into production but the transport logs didn't display any errors or warnings. I have also had the program retransported into production but I still can't see the select-options.
There are no variants for the program and I'm not getting any security issues on the SU53.
Any help would be gratefully received.

Hi,
You can try system->staus->program name. Double click on program name and see if you enter abap editor. You can check your code there.
Or else just create another transport in development and send to production

How to see the dropdown option for field of a table during selection

Hello,
I am adding a new custom field in the table. Now when user goes to the screen after clicking the content button icon in se11, he sees all fields for selection.
That custom field is one character field. I want the user to see P and S option when he hits F4 (Dropdown).
How can I achieve this ?

Either you can calculate the sum in driver program with
Loop at where Condition .
Sum the required field .
endloop .
Then pass it to smartforms
Or
Double Click on table node .
In the conditions tab give the required condition .
select calculation tab.
In operation select Total , in field name give the name of the field you want to sum
and in targer field name specify the name of the field that should contain the result .
To convert the total in to words use the function module in program lines

Smartforms: Output Options for Field Contents not working within table

to display an amount and its unit I am using &GS_MM_IT_GEN-MENGE(R)& &GS_MM_IT_GEN-MEINS& with a line of a table. Unfortunatly it seams that the output option "R" (right-justified) is not working with the table context. Has anyone an idea, what to do?

thank you for your suggestions. I have found out, that the output option work pretty well as described in the documentation. The are output options of a field and not of a column! To get a right justified column, I had to change the attribute of the parapraph assigned to the column.

In a document library, offering only certain options for fields based on others selected

Hi, I have a document library, and when someone uploads an item to that library, they are presented with a form to select properties. I have 4 properties I want them to select (really 6, but the first two are Name and Title). The issue is that these 4 properties
depend on each other in this way:
1st property: I use a lookup to offer 4 choices, "A" "B" "C" or "D" in a dropdown.
2nd property: I want to offer the user a choice of 4 items in a dropdown, based on what they chose for the 1st property. (if they chose "A", then offer "1" "2" "3" or "4", if they chose
"B" offer "5" "6" "7" or "8", etc.)
3rd property: same thing as above, but now based on what they chose for the 2nd property (if they chose "1", offer "a" "b" "c" or "d", if "5" offer "s" and "t")
4th property: again based on 3rd property.
How can I do this? can I write some sort of custom form that can do this?

What you're trying to do is commonly refererd to as 'Cascading Drop Downs'. These are a common lack in SharePoint.
There are lots of ways to do that, my favourite to use jQuery or Javascript:

Javadoc bug or missing an option for class extending AbstractTableModel

Hi Everybody,
I am reviewing my javadoc before submission of my SCJD assignment and I noticed
for my JTable model class HotelRoomTableModel that extends AbstractTableModel
for all the overwritten methods like getValueAt(), getColumnCount(), getRowCount()
that implement the TableModel interface where I am using javadoc comments of the form:

@Override the HTML generated javadoc I see in my browser doesn't show anything
for these methods other than the name and the signature of the method.
Is that normal? Or is it a bug? Or perhaps did I miss anything?
I would hope that it would show something like:
"Specified by: methodName in interface InterfaceName"
or
"Overrides: methodMame in class ClassName".

He quoted the Javadoc which says you have to have the source code available for the Javadoc you are trying to inherit. Format Tab - Field Properties (Special)

The format tab for field properties - Special - gives a phone number option which allows 10 numeric characters or spaces. UK Telephone number format is 11 numeric characters. Would be useful to have a pre defined UK phone format. If you try and create one using the 'arbitary mask' option - that does not permit a mix of numeric values or spaces - it only allows numeric values.

If one looks at the code Acrobat uses for formatting one would see that the JavaScript uses RegExp object to construct the needed pattern to test keystrokes, validation, and formatting. So it is possible for one to either field level or document level functions for other types of data to collect.
Beginning JavaScript for Adobe Acrobat has 3 chapters dealing with this subject.

Dictionary missing all options but Wikipedia

I just installed Leopard on my iMac G5 and Powerbook G4. Both Dictionaries are version 2.0. On the iMac I have 4 dictionary choices (New Oxford, Oxford Thesaurus, Apple, and Wikipedia), whereas on the Powerbook there is just Wikepedia, which only works when online.
Any ideas why this difference, given the identical upgrade?

Thanks. I just tried updating Quicktime and you were right that I did need to update. But unfortunately it has not solved the problem. I am still missing all options for encoding in DVD. Media Encoder also failed to export .h264 for Vimeo this morning - created some very messy-looking files. I'm not sure what is going on, but I'd love it if someone could help me fix it. I'm (of course) in the middle of a big project and supposed to deliver in DVD.

Use the Component WDR_SELECT_OPTIONS to include select options in Web Dynpro ABAP. Follow these steps:
1. In your Component , "Used Componet" tab add Component WDR_SELECT_OPTIONS . Component Use can be any name that you want to give, eg SELECT_OPTIONS
2. Go to the View where you want to include the Date Select Options. I am assuming that you already have an Attribute of Type DATS in your context.
3. View: Properties Tab:Create Controller Usage and select
SELECT_OPTIONS     WDR_SELECT_OPTIONS
SELECT_OPTIONS     WDR_SELECT_OPTIONS     INTERFACECONTROLLER
4. View Layout Tab:Include a View Container. In this view container we will show the Date Select Options.

Descriptor exception for "missing mapping for field"

I am using TopLink 9.0.3, oracle database 9, JVM 1.4.
I got one DescirptorException that states that the descriptor misses mapping for one database field.
However I have such field mapped through workbench.

Your 1-1 mapping must not be read-only.
deviceMapping.readOnly();Read-only means the mapping will not write the field, and should only be used when another mapping does write the field.
