Missing config.xml.booted

1)I have started up my Admin server and the log shows its started in running mode
2)I can access the admin console via my web browser.
In the 9.2 edocs, (cluster.pdf) ...
"Each time the Administration Server starts successfully, a backup configuration file named
config.xml.booted is created in the domain directory. In the unlikely event that the
config.xml file should be corrupted during the lifetime of the server instance, it is possible to
revert to this previous configuration.
I cannot find the config.xml.booted on my server. Instead, i fould config.lok. I am using WL 9.2 MP02. Is there a problem somewhere in my setup?

I use this sort of syntax, explicitly giving the domain directory.
./pack.sh -managed=true -domain=/orclapps/oracle/middleware/user_projects/domains/SOADomain -template=/tmp/soa_domain_template.jar -template_name=soa_domain_template
and then on the 2nd node ( after copying the template jar )
./unpack.sh -domain=/orclapps/oracle/middleware/user_projects/domains/SOADomain -template=/tmp/soa_domain_template.jar

  • Missing config.xml after unpacking

    Hi, I installed 11g on two machines. I'm following the steps on the wonderweblogic post mostly except that instead of copying the whole directory, I wanted to use the pack utilities. When I setup the domain, I created a cluster of two machines. Then I used pack.sh and passed it -managed=true. Then I unpacked it on my second machine. The directory structure looks ok. When I try to start up the second machine with startManagedWeblogic.sh server2, I get:
    weblogic.management.ManagementException: [Management:141249]The configuration directory /home/weblogic/test/config is missing the file config.xml and the admin server is not available to download it.
    at weblogic.management.provider.internal.RuntimeAccessImpl.parseNewStyleConfig(RuntimeAccessImpl.java:213)
    There isn't a config.xml on this machine but there is a config_bootstrap.xml that looks correct..similar to the config.xml from the first machine. The first machine's admin server and managed server are both running correctly. What did I do wrong? thanks.

    You've got a problem with a corrupted config.xml file.
    Since you did not make any changes you can copy the config.xml.booted file over the corrupted config.xml.
    The other option is to walk though the config.xml file and look for the problem...

  • Weblogic Server config.xml

    When does the Config.xml gets corrupted???. The weblogic server failed to start because of the corrupted config.xml file. I saw the config file its was empty. I replaced it with config.xml.booted and it worked fine. Can anybody explain in what circumstances does this file gets corrupted.

    Hi Krishna,
    Which version and service pack of Workshop and WLS 8.1 are you using ? Also can you attach the corrupt config.xml file ?
    Did the server restart successfully ?
    Was there anything abnormal in the last the shutdown prior to the corruption ?
    Thanks

    Check the jps-config.xml file. This has the configuration for security services. Seems like the default context is missing. The default context is essential for connecting to the policy store. If not, you can use a named context to connect to the policy store/idstore etc.

  • XML Parsing error - iTunes will not run config.xml missing

    I have a new error code that I cannot find an answer to on any forum. Here is the error message:
    XML Parsing error
    XML Parsing error inside file 'C:\Documents and Settings\lmorrison\Application Data\iTunesControl\config.xml
    Error: First Tag not found
    At line 0, column 0.
    First Tag should be 'itc'.
    This error message pops up when attempting to run iTunes. The only way I've been able to get it to run is to take the library.xml file, rename it as config.xml and paste it into the iTunesControl folder. That's good for one run only. Then I have to copy and paste it again every time I want to run iTunes.
    My issue is... I have no config.xml file. It's gone missing. No idea why. I have uninstalled iTunes and reinstalled. Same error. I wiped every single spec of iTunes off my computer down to removing all instances in the computer registry. Same error. I have installed and uninstalled versions of iTunes back to iTunes 6. Same error. I have wiped and installed from iTunes installation disc. Same error. Help! The only thing I can think of is to locate someone with a working iTunes and copy their config.xml file to my computer. Apple was no help at all and merely suggested installing the latest version of iTunes... yeah... thanx.
    Any ideas are appreciated.

    I don't even have this iTunesControl folder!
    C:\Documents and Settings\ username \Application Data\ iTunesControl
    Did you ever install this itunesControl program? Maybe that's why you have that folder and I don't. I just googled on iTunesControl.
    http://itunescontrol.com/
    edit - the only thing Apple installs is here:
    C:\Documents and Settings\ username \Application Data\Apple Computer

  • Config.xml file missing after using pack/unpack (WebLogic 12c)

    Hi,
    When I use the utilities pack/unpack to "copy" a domain from one physical server to another one, I end up with the config directory where there is no config.xml file while on the source physical there is of course this file.
    If I use the scp command (I work under Linux) to "copy" the domain I do not encounter problem and I can start the Node Manager and the WebLogic server.
    Did someone faced this situation?
    How did you solved it? Or, is there something that I am missing?
    Kind Regards.

    Hi all!
    I am having the same problem with WebLogic Workshop 8.1 SP4.
    Any idea?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Incorrect coherence-rest-pof-config.xml in coherence-rest.jar (Missing PofSerializer configuration)?

    I'm running Coherence 3.7.1.0.0 with REST enabled as per the instruction. I have included coherence-rest-pof-config.xml in my pof config like so:
    <include>coherence-pof-config.xml</include>
    <include>coherence-rest-pof-config.xml</include>
    When I start Coherence, I get the following error:
    Caused by: (Wrapped: error creating class "com.tangosol.io.pof.ConfigurablePofContext") java.lang.IllegalStateException: Missing PofSerializer configuration (Config=custom-types-pof-config.xml, Type-Id=801, Class-Name=com.tangosol.coherence.rest.internal.Get)
    The config in coherence-rest-pof-config.xml for com.tangosol.coherence.rest.internal.Get is as follows:
    <user-type>
          <type-id>801</type-id>
          <class-name>com.tangosol.coherence.rest.internal.Get</class-name>
        </user-type>
    I had a quick look in the coherence-rest.jar, where com.tangosol.coherence.rest.internal.Get is defined. com.tangosol.coherence.rest.internal.Get implements InvocableMap.EntryProcessor, but not PortableObject.
    Am I missing something? As far as I can see, InvocableMap.EntryProcessor does not implement PortableObject either.
    Is there any way to fix this?
    Thanks

    The jar file coherence-common-1.7.0.16988.jar would have been part of the Coherence Incubator product, and isn't part of the core Coherence product itself.
    You'd probably need to refer to the Coherence Incubator site as there are probably significant changes between the version you are using in 3.5.3 and with what is meant for 12.1.2.

  • Trinidad-config.xml, number-grouping-separator and decimal-separator

    Hi,
    According to my application locale, numbers are formatted as 1.234,56
    Now I want numbers to be formatted the US flavour: 1,234.56
    Here is my trinidad-config.xml file contents:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="windows-1252"?>
    <trinidad-config xmlns="http://myfaces.apache.org/trinidad/config">
    <skin-family>mySkin</skin-family>
    <number-grouping-separator>,</number-grouping-separator>
    <decimal-separator>.</decimal-separator>
    </trinidad-config>
    The file above is declared in the web.xml file (although I'm not pretty sure this is really necessary):
    <context-param>
    <param-name>javax.faces.CONFIG_FILES</param-name>
    <param-value>/WEB-INF/trinidad-config.xml</param-value>
    </context-param>
    And an example of a numerical input text:
    <af:inputText value="#{row.bindings.Salary.inputValue}" label="#{bindings.EmployeesView3.hints.Salary.label}"
    required="#{bindings.EmployeesView3.hints.Salary.mandatory}" columns="#{bindings.EmployeesView3.hints.Salary.displayWidth}"
    maximumLength="#{bindings.EmployeesView3.hints.Salary.precision}" shortDesc="#{bindings.EmployeesView3.hints.Salary.tooltip}"
    id="it5">
    <f:validator binding="#{row.bindings.Salary.validator}"/>
    <af:convertNumber pattern="#{bindings.EmployeesView3.hints.Salary.format}" />
    </af:inputText>
    Where the pattern is set at Entity Object level: Employees EO > Salary attribute > UI Hints > Format: #,##0.00
    But it doesn't work. I don't know what I'm missing... Please, help!
    JDev 11.1.1.3.0

    Hello. With my application locale, numbers are formatted as 1234,56
    But i need 1 234.56 format.
    To achieve this, I use trinidad-config.xml, that contains few options:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="windows-1251"?>
    <trinidad-config xmlns="http://myfaces.apache.org/trinidad/config">
    <skin-family>mySkin</skin-family>
    <number-grouping-separator> </number-grouping-separator>
    <decimal-separator>.</decimal-separator>
    </trinidad-config>
    On my page i use af:outputText with af:convertNumber as shown below:
    <af:outputText value="1234567,890" id="ot2">
    <af:convertNumber currencySymbol="USD" minFractionDigits="2"
    groupingUsed="true" type="currency"
    maxFractionDigits="2"/>
    </af:outputText>
    Output: *1 234 567,89 USD*
    Why decimal separator hasn't changed?
    Byt the way. With convertNumber type "percent" output will be *1 234 567.89%*

  • Apex-config.xml is broken after password change with encryption

    Greetings,
    I am using Apex Listener 1.1 with Oracle GlassFish Open Source Edition 3.1.
    I found something strange when changing the connection password in apex-config.xml.
    If I change the password to keep it plain text like the following, it works fine.
    <entry key="apex.db.password">my_password</entry>
    But if I change the password to a value to be encrypted, the new password is accepted but the configuration file get messed up.
    <entry key="apex.db.password">!my_password2</entry>
    After restarting the listener, I get the following content in my apex-config.xml.
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <!DOCTYPE properties SYSTEM "http://java.sun.com/dtd/properties.dtd">
    <properties>
    <comment> Updated: Mon Mar 14 10:58:16 EDT 2011 Version: 1.1.0.60.10.38 </comment>
    </properties>
    Needless to say that after the next restart nothing works. Am I missing something, or is this a bug?

    You have corrupted your web.xml somehow, repeat the steps making sure the web.xml is well formed.

    Thanks for your support Rajiv Dewan and idamGod,
    I've just followed this metalink ID: “Easy step for Oracle Identity Manager 11g (OIM 11g) installation on Windows [ID 1234357.1]”
    In my case I don’t have this error:
    Unable to find keystore "default-keystore.jks" in <DOMAIN_HOME>/config/fmwconfig/.
    Unable to find keystore ".xldatabasekey" in <DOMAIN_HOME>/config/fmwconfig/.
    […]Maybe it’s the same root causes but I installed again the OIM without success. I can’t login to the OIM because I just back 404.
    I’m sorry but I didn’t understand what I can do.
    Thanks,
    Lain

  • Trying to dynamically load CSS for project at compile time via config XML file to select CSS file.

    I'm using the same code base to compile different versions of a project. Each project has different base fonts. I've created multiple css files that use the same style names. The idea being that in the code I reference the style names, then the loaded CSS determines which font (and size, color, etc) is used for each style name.
    The CSS files are compiling to SWFs, and those SWFs are referenced in config.xml files. Before compiling, I select the config file to use.
    I am loading the CSS SWF files via the StyleManager in the Application.mxml, like so:
      styleManager.loadStyleDeclarations( _contentData.elements( 'cssPath' ).@path )
    The path traces out correctly as:
    assets_embed/styles/project2.swf
    For some reasone I must include an fx:Style line in the Application.mxml file or no fonts are recognized. Example:
      <fx:Style source="assets_embed/styles/project1.css"/>
    If I reference the css for project one (as done above) then most, but not all, styles work. Some styles reference the fonts from the project 1 css, others properly use fonts from project 2 swf. If I point to the CSS for the project I'm compiling in the <fx:Style > tag then all fonts work, but that defeats the goal of using XML rather than code to identify the styles.
    So, why do I need the fx:Style line if the css is being loaded via StyleManager?
    Why is there "cross talk" between style definitions?
    Is there a better way to select styles at compile time?

    I read this quickly so I might have missed a detail.  I think your describing an issue with recent Flex releases that is described in the fine print somewhere.  If you don't have any fonts embedded in the main app and are only bringing in fonts embedded in CSS SWFs, you have to force-link the EmbeddedFontRegistry by adding something like this to the main app's script block.
    import mx.core.EmbeddedFontRegistry; EmbeddedFontRegistry;
    (Yes, "EmbeddedFontRegistry" is in there twice, once to define the fully qualified name, the other to create a class dependency to force the linking).

  • Clear text value not allowed for credentials in config.xml

    I am in the process of migrating our J2EE application from Weblogic 8.1 to Weblogic 10 MP1 and have converted config.xml to the new schema. When starting up in production mode, I see the following error which causes the server to shutdown:
    <Server failed. Reason: [Management:141266]Parsing Failure in config.xml: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: In production mode, it's not allowed to set a clear text value to the property: CredentialEncrypted of SecurityConfigurationMBean>
    In 8.1 it seems that it would fill in the credentials based on the username and password in boot.properties so it was possible for our installation program to leave these entries blank. However, when starting in 10.0 it doesn't do this. Below is an excerpt from config.xml.

    Henry

    Hi henry,
    While running a particular instance in the production mode(wls 10.x),prior to upgrading the domain you need to upgrade the security provider(all the mbeans ) you use in the previous versions and later on if you follow the domain upgrade you may find a solution for this issue...
