Missing radio sections

ok so i was lookign through the radio stations on itunes yesterday and i looked away and accidently hit something...now the catigory "top 40" or whatever is gone totaly and the hiphop thing is now named "B" *** did i do?

I was giving some advice by someone on the phone at Apple but I have not tried it yet. He seems to think that it is a result of a problem when I upgraded to the current release of iTunes. He gave me instructions on how to uninstall & then reinstall the latest version again??

If it does then we probably need to report the problem to iTunes with their latest release.

Missing radio buttons on web pages, solution: remove Silverlight plug-in

Missing radio buttons.
When trying to use a page with radio buttons..they were not appearing.
Cause: Microsoft Silverlight plug-in that was installed along with free Flip4Mac software.
Solution: Remove file 'Silverlight.plugin' from /Library/Internet Plug-ins
(Also, the plug-in was taking over display of Quicktime movies replacing Quicktime's controls.)

Missing radio station

I recently upgraded to iTunes 9 and went to the Radio stations, double clicked on the Latin station to see the streams and it suddenly disappeared. Does anyone know what could have caused this and how or if it is even possible to get the station back?
FYI, I have attempted to exit the program as well as restart my laptop and both attempts failed. I noticed in other topics there have been talks of missing radio stations but as I stated when I opened the Radio library the Latin station was there, it simply disappeared after I accidentally double clicked it.

Esp. Ryan Dixon's response (from iTunes Radio Directory team). Apparently some categories were consolidated, etc. But if enough people send feedback to iTunes team they will respond , as the thread above resulted in the "Ambient" stream being put back up.
Personally, I'm looking for the "Folk" genre to come back, esp. radio IO Acoustic..

TOC missing with Sections

One of our apps is divided into sections. Each section has items that need to appear in the TOC. However, they have gone missing (even though I have unticked "Hide from TOC"). In other apps I have seen that you can have both sections and still list items in the TOC. So how come they have disappeared? What have we done wrong?

If you still have a problem on Mac, some things to look at:
Generate DHTML > Java Applet > HTML
Mac won't use DHTML from RH5, but will follow RH's built-in
alternative code.
Also, have a look at Peter's topic on Browsers. Some of the

Missing radio buttons in Safari 4 / Snow Leopard

I'm a Moderator/Jr. Admin on a forum and just noticed since upgrading last night to Snow Leopard 10.6.1 that I no longer see radio buttons on my drop down options list (Safari 4.0.3). Screen capture can be seen at: http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i152/imacpwr/EFcapture001small.jpg
There are suppose to be radio buttons to the left of each option but they are missing! I'm seeing this problem only on my Mac Pro. My Mac Book Air has the same version of OS X and Safari but not the problem.
I thought I'd try and re-install Safari so I downloaded the file and started the install. The installer then informs me that I need OS X 10.5.8 or newer to install.
Huh ? ? ?
Anyone got any ideas how to get the radio buttons working again?

Yes, I saw that on the following thread and can confirm it's true, Zooming (enlarging) the page causes the radio buttons to drop out. Very annoying in my situation since I have 3-23" monitors and regularly use 4 virtual desktops as a forum moderator. I like to enlarge the pages so that I can sit back and clearly read all the monitors at ease.

My version of garagband for the iphone 4 is missiong the 'sections' tab in the settings. It means I can't record beyond 8 bars. I downloaded the app in Australia and just wondering if there are different versions or this is an issue anyone else in Australia is facing? Any help would be appreciated

Xfce4 : window manger missing a section???

In the settings manager there is a button called 'window manger' when I click on that window manger button up pops a window that looks something like this...

The problem is, I do not have the bottom section on the right side. I have the windows shortcuts, but not the command shortcuts window. This is the one that matters, I do not care about the other one. How do I get this functionality??? Why was it removed??? It should be added back in.

I just installed 'lineak' and got my keyboard functionality like I prefer it, so for now I will stick with this app. Thanks for pointing out that they re-arrange the settings, wish they would update the doc pages as well then.

There are no channels in radio section

I'm using 10.2.2 64bit version of iTunes. Today, i wanted to listen radio from iTunes. I've clicked on radio but there was nothing. It's all empty.
What is the problem and how can i fix this?

Some other threads here suggest that a firewall can do this. Are you using a firewall at work or at home? Try accessing it through some non-firewall internet. Public internet should work.
In my case I'm currently out of the country. I think that's the issue. So I won't be able to try this until I get back.

TS2289 Audio in iMovie 11 files but missing in sections when shared to iDVD. The movie and audio plays fine in iMovie but my burned iDVD movie is missing some audio .

I imported a movie into iMovie 11 from a Canon Vixia HFR 300 SD card with no problem. I have a new iMac running OsX 18.8.4 I think. I added chapter markers and shared it with iDVD. And burned it to a DVD. Towards the end of this 30 minute movie the sound just stops. I do remember some screen came up when I wanted to burn DVD that said something was wrong with files but I couldn't figure what do to fix it and allowed me to continue. Any ideas?

Either the problem is in iMovie or in iDVD
two notes
No Audio in iMovie
Most common origin is use of audio from iTunes.
Work around -
• Select needed audio to one new playlist
• Copy out this as an Audio-CD .aiff (not .mp3)
• Use this in the movie-project
Other origins are
1. strange / alient file formats as -
• .mp3, .avi, .wmv etc
• Convert them into .aiff 48kHz 16-bit and use this
2. the Mac is set wrongly in regard of midi -
• Close iMovie and other programs
• Start GarageBand
• Make a new GB-project and play some notes
• Close GB and Save
• Now try iMovie again
3. No audio when playback in iMovie 1 to HD 6.
a. in iMovie pref. - deselect ” Playback via Camera”
b. in System preferences - see that Audio out is not set to zero. Mine often does this
without me knowing why.
4. iMovie’08 & 09 & 11
• Toggle audio-scimming by cmd-K
Stuttering audio and video
1. FileVault is ON - Turn it off
2. More than 50 audio files in a movie-project
Mix down to one audio clip
3. Project is stored on one (USB) external hard disk - should be a FireWire one
4. the External hard disk is not Mac OS Extended formatted - but
UNIX/DOS/FAT32/Mac OS Exchange and this will not work for Video.
5. To little free space on internal boot hard disk.
I go for a minimum of 25Gb free space when project is imported and edited and this goes for
4x3 SD Video. For 16x9 HD my guess would be about 5 times more at least.
Neither Mac OS, iMovie or iDVD can address any other hard disk than the boot drive for it’s
scratch files. (Unlike Final Cut Express/Pro where You select scratch disk/s)
6. Network storage - DOESN’T WORK
No audio on DVD disc.
Most common origin.
1. Imported audio from iTunes.
• In iTunes copy out as an Audio-CD .aiff (Same as played on standard Stereo CD - no .mp3)
• Use this in Your movie project
2. Low - Free Space on Start-up/Boot/Internal/Mac OS Hard disk makes it hard for iMovie to work as intended.
Down to 1.3 GB and it doesn’t work - especially audio don’t migrate over to Media Browser
(iM’08 & 09)
3. Material in iMovie’08 & 09 - Shared to Media Browser and here selected as Large
large.m4v. It silenced out this project in iDVD. By making a slight alteration - provoking it to ask for a new Share/Publish to Media Browser and here selecting 640x480 - and audio was back when a new iDVD project was created including this movie.
Minuscular - - 176x144
Mobile - - - - - 480x360
Medium - - - - 640x480
Large - - - - - - 720x540 960x540
HD - - - - - - - - 1280x720
4. Strange audio formats like .mp3, .avi etc.
• Change them to .aiff. Use an audio editor like Audacity (free)
5. Main audio is set to off in System Preferences - Does this by it self - Don’t know why

Had the same problem; some Googling around gave me a kludgy, but effective fix
Downgrade Perian from recent versions back to version 1.0.
That worked for me, and so far I haven't encountered any deficiencies — except it takes more advanced versions of Perian to enable QuickTime to handle subtitles in .srt format — that I have noticed.
7. GarageBand fix.
In this set audio to 44.1 kHz (Klaus1 suggestion)
(if this don’t work try 48 kHz - me guessing)
Before burning the DVD.
• Do a DiskImage (File menu and down)
• Double click on the .img file
• Test it with Apple DVD-player
If it’s OK then make Your DVD.
Burn at x1 speed.... (or x4)
• In iDVD 08 - or - 09
• Burn from DiskImage with Apple’s Disk Utilities application
•OR burn with Roxio Toast™ if You got it

Missing brush sections

When I click on my Special Effects Brushes I get a dialog box that says "could not load the brushes because the file is not compatible with this version of photoshop" resetting my brushes is not workings, how can I get these back?

Please try resetting brush and other preferences. Go to folder
Win"C:\Users\slohia\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\10.0\Editor"
Mac - Users/[USERNAME]/Library/Application Data/Adobe/Photoshop Elements/10.0/Editor"
Delete everything in these folders and relaunch PSE.

ITunes Radio Missing

After the last update (7.6.2) I installed for iTunes I no longer have a radio option. The icon is not showing in the left hand panel and I can't find anyway to make it available. I use the radio a lot and really miss it. Any ideas on where it went or how to get it back? Thanks

The radio section can be turned on and off in Preferences. This computer doesn't have iTunes and I can't remember exactly where it is. However, there are a bunch of check boxes to make different features visible. It sounds as if Radio got unchecked.

Radio missing from latest version?

I just noticed that the Radio section of iTunes has vanished as of the latest update. I confirmed that it is turned on in preferences, but it is no where to be found in the left navigation section of the app.

You can go to iTune preferences>general, click radio and it will put a button on top of the screen.

"Holiday" Section in Radio Streaming Disappears after Installing iTunes 9

Yup, as the topic suggests, after installing iTunes 9 on my Macbook 13' just recently, I realised that my favourite radio stream, 'Holiday' in iTunes has mysteriously disappeared. Is there anyone who has experienced a similar incident as I have? Does anyone know of any way for me to place this Holiday section back?

Remember, all the stations shown in iTunes' Radio section are just feeds from other streaming audio sites. Apple does not host or create any of these feeds and the offered stations change frequently - especially as part of an iTunes upgrade. Many of the iTunes offerings are actually Live365 stations.
If you get the station to start in iTunes from that link, that creates a 'Music' entry in your iTunes library that you can reuse. It will eventually stop working and you'll need to revisit the Live365 site to get a 'fresh' version of the station.
If the link opens and plays through a web based player window you'll have to edit your playback preferences through the Live365.com site to use an external MP3 player which will then redirect it iTunes. Definitely more of a hassle, but it will work.

Itunes 9 dropped "Ambient" category from Radio. How do I get it back?

When I opened the internet radio feature of ITunes 9, the Ambient category was there. I clicked on it to go to my favorite Ambient station and the entire category disappeared. Is there a way to get it back or can I downgrade to iTunes 8?

- Entrance.fm
- Limbik Frequencies
- Mountain Chill
- Paxahau
- RadioAmbient (My favorite of all !!!)
Personnally, I bought a LOT of songs of the artists I heard on those stations,
in iTunes Store.
What will be the result ?
No Ambient stations on iTunes Radio = No beautiful discoveries for me on iTunes Radio = No sales for Apple = no sales for the artists.
It's easy to hear commercial radio and find commercial artists at "the corner of the street".
What will happen with artists "doing something very good but not commercial" ?
The Ambient radio section was a very good way to expose "other kind of music".
It's easy to hear Madonna (Sorry, Madonna) EVERYWHERE !
Without the "Ambient" stations in iTunes Radio, I would have NEVER discovered artists like : Robert Rich and Mùm, for example. After hearing Robert Rich on iTunes radio, I bought 4 complete albums on iTunes Store. After hearing Mùm on iTunes radio, I bought 2 pieces from that group then the full album. This summer, I also bought the same CD of Mùm that I bought on iTunes Store because I wanted to have the "physical/touchable" CD and pictures of that CD. Now, I have the mp3 version of Mùm and the CD. I think that Apple received some money from me and that Mùm received some money from me too.
Without "Ambient" radio stations on iTunes, how could have I learn the beautiful existence of Robert Rich and Mùm ??????????
Anyway, I bought a lot of songs I heard on "Ambient" radios on iTunes...
No "Ambient" radio on iTunes = less money for Apple and for some artists playing "something better" then commercial music.
That was my point of view.
