Mm automatic account posting T code:-omwd

Hi Guys,
Thanks in Advance, any one can help me how can I update a new entry (  Vaal Area, CoCode, Chart Of AC, Val Grouping Code) in table V_T001K_k  by running Transaction Code:-OMWD.
Regards
NJRAJU

Hi nraju,
Try this
Valuation grouping code(Combination of Valuation area(generally plant) , Company Code and Chart of Accounts), you have to maintain separately(OMWD).
For example you have maintained two valuation grouping codes..0001 & 0002
(For 0001=Valuation area(generally plantCompany code1Chart of accounts and for 0002=Valuation area(plantCompany code 2Chart of accounts)
In OBYC,in rules for any transaction(ex;BSX) make the valuation modifier a required checkbox.
Make settings like this:
Val Mod Valcls GL account
0001 3102 1111111

  • Automatic account postings (for Intercompany Purchase order and Sales order

    Hi all,
I need some help related to the automatic account postings (for Intercompany Purchase order and Sales order)which i can set for the follwoing scenarios. I have looked on the forms and searched alot but not able to a single solution to solve both the pupose. if one scenario works the other doesnt. Please advise.
I have created the master data
    Customer receiving--G001
    Sales Org.--GXIN
    Distr. Channel- 01
    Division - 00
    Company code receiving - G1
    customer supplying- V001
    company code for supplying- V1
    2 different scenarios
1- Intercompany Purchase order in which a Customer receiving- G001, gets stock replenishment NB purchase order from supplying company V1- GI  and GR of stock is done. Biling document for customer receiving G001 is created. But now I need a way to do the opposite side posting at the supplying customer -V001-- this I do using an Idoc which creates a Invoice receipt for creditor(supplying customer) V001.
    2. Sales order-- A customer X001 of company code G1 buys stock from the company code V1. the customer G001 of company code G1 bills the customer X001, but the intercompany billing doc/ invoice is created for the customer G001 by company code V1.  then now i want an automatic account posting to be created at the supplying customer V001 via idoc.
Can this be achivable via Idoc with automatic account postings.
Please let me know if it doesnt make sense. thanks to all in advance
    cheers

    Hi all,
For the Sales order and automatic posting we have created an output type ZR4N- this is creating a batch input session which can be triggered to be processed autmatically.
For the intercompany Purchase order -from Invoice we are creating a different output RD04 (sap standard) which creates invoice receipt at the vendor side.
Rest of the settings are defined using SAP standard functionality within transaction OBCA, OBCB, OBCC, OBCD,OBCE
    thanks for viwing the post
    Cheers

  • Automatically clear the open items for a GL account cross company codes

    Hi FICO experts,
Can anyone help me on the following issue urgently?
There are journal entries posted to same GL account with different company code. Is there any way to automatically clear the open items sitting in the GL account in company code A to against the open items for the same GL account in company code B.
    The example is below:
    Journal in company code A
    Dr. 840410      $100
      Cr. 111300       $100
    Journal in company code B
    Dr. 111301   $100
      Cr. 840410      $100
Now I want to automatically clear account  840410 by using assignment or text in the journal entry.
It will be highly appreciated for any instructions.

    Hello Adele Wang,
You can enter cross-company code transactions in one step in the General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable application components. This function would be used, for example, for centralized procurement or payment.
Integration:For centralized payments, each individual company code enters its own invoices separately, while a central company code pays them. When you are clearing open items, the system makes clearing entries between the company codes participating in the clearing procedure. These clearing entries represent the receivables and payables that exist between the company codes in centralized payment.
Prerequisites:You have specified which company codes are to be processed via a single company code. In this specification, you can distinguish between clearing transactions. You can therefore have different combinations of company codes for incoming and outgoing payments.
You have specified the clearing accounts that record the receivables and payables between the individual company codes. The system posts to these accounts automatically when clearing the open items.
You need to make  the required settings in the activity Prepare Cross-Company Code Manual Payments in Customizing for Financial Accounting (Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable->Business Transactions->Outgoing Payments->Manual Outgoing Payments).
Features:For each company code, the system generates a separate clearing document. A joint transaction number marks these documents as belonging together.
Example:For a clearing transaction (incoming payment, outgoing payment), you have agreed in Customizing that if company code 0001 is specified, open items are also selected from other company codes (0002 and 0003).
Hope I had been able to help you. Please assign points.
    Rgds
    manish
Clearing can then also be carried out if the account to be cleared has not been created in company code 0001. As long as no items have to be posted to this account in company code 0001, it is not necessary to create a master record for the account in company code 0001.

  • Automatic Contra Posting between account segments

    Hi
I am using account segments for a company's different division in different locations. My customer wants automatic contra posting when an inter division (segment) jouranl entry takes places.
The business scenario is like this -
    Action 1:
"Division A" incurrs travelling expenses on behalf of Division "B". and passess entry (Div B Dr. Cash A/c Cr.)
    Action 2:
Later, after receiving advice from Division A, Division B passes entry (Travelling Exp Dr. Div A Cr.)
Since in Action 1 above - it is an inter segment transaction, is it possible that Action 2 will happen automatically with Action 1 ??
    Will appreciate suggession
    Thnx in advance

    Indrajit,
Your requirement is very small and I doubt if there are any AddOn specifically for this.  You might probably be needing to write this code.   If you have other requirement along with this and if you provide me complete details on the requirement I can get some names for you.
You may email me to let me know if you do not feel appropriate posting it here

    Hi,
    Use T code OB74.
Maintain for your Chart Of Account, acct type "D", From and to customer accounts and then add the critera you want. Pls note you cannot define more than 5 criteria.

    THIRD PARTY SCENARIO
In third-party order processing, your company does not deliver the items requested by a customer. Instead, you pass the order along to a third-party vendor who then ships the goods directly to the customer and bills you. A sales order may consist partly or wholly of third-party items. Occasionally, you may need to let a vendor deliver items you would normally deliver yourself.
    Process Flow
The processing of third-party orders is controlled via material types. Material types define whether a material is produced only internally, can be ordered only from third-party vendors, or whether both are possible. For example, a material that is defined as a trading good can only be ordered from a third-party vendor. However, if you manufacture your own finished products, you may also want, from time to time, to be able to order the same type of product from other vendors.
    Processing Third-Party Orders in Sales
Third-party items can be created automatically by the system, depending on how your system is set. However, you can also change a standard item to a third-party item during sales processing manually.
    Automatic third-party order processing
If a material is always delivered from one or more third-party vendors, you can specify in the material master that the material is a third-party item. During subsequent sales order processing, the system automatically determines the appropriate item category for a third-party item: TAS. To specify a material as a third-party item, enter BANS in the Item category group field in the Sales 2 screen of the material master record.
    Manual third-party order processing
In the case of a material that you normally deliver yourself but occasionally need to order from a third-party vendor, you can overwrite the item category during sales order processing. For a material that you normally deliver yourself, you specify the item category group NORM in the material master.
If, as an exception, you use a third-party material, change the entry TAN to TAS in the ItCa field when processing the sales document. The item is then processed as third-party item.
If address data for the ship-to party is changed in the sales order in third-party business transactions, the changed data will automatically be passed on to purchase requisition and also to the purchase order ,if one already exists. In the purchase order, you can display the address data for the ship-to party in the attributes for the item.
You can only change the address data for the ship-to party in the sales order for third-party business transactions, and not in the purchase order.
    Processing Third-Party Orders in Purchasing
When you save a sales order that contains one or more third-party items, the system automatically creates a purchase requisition in Purchasing. Each third-party item in a sales order automatically generates a corresponding purchase requisition item. During creation of the requisition, the system automatically determines a vendor for each requisition item. If a sales order item has more than one schedule line, the system creates a purchase requisition item for each schedule line.
Purchase orders are created from purchase requisitions in the usual way. For more information about creating purchase orders, see the Purchasing documentation. During creation of the purchase order, the system automatically copies the delivery address of your customer from the corresponding sales order. In a sales order, you can enter purchase order texts for each third-party item. When you create the corresponding purchase order, the texts are automatically copied into the purchase order. The number of the purchase order appears in the document flow information of the sales order.
All changes made in the purchase order are automatically made in the sales order as well. For example, if the vendor confirms quantities and delivery dates different from those you request and enters them in the purchase order, the revised data is automatically copied into the sales order
You process third-party items by creating a normal sales order. In overview for the order, you can then overwrite the default item category (TAN in the standard system) with the special item category for third-party items: TAS
    Billing Third-Party Orders
If relevance for billing indicator for the item category has been set to B (relevant for order-related billing on the basis of the order quantity) in Customizing, the system includes the order in the billing due list immediately. If, however, the indicator has been set to F (relevant to order-related billing on the basis of the invoice quantity), the system does not include the order in the billing due list until an invoice from the vendor has been received and processed by the purchasing department. In the standard system, item category TAS (third-party order processing) has been given billing-relevance indicator F.
In the first case, the third-party order is considered to be completely billed only when the invoiced quantity equals the order quantity of the sales order item. In the second case, each time a vendor invoice is received, a customer invoice is created for the quantity in the vendor invoice and the order is considered to be fully invoiced until the next vendor invoice is received.
If you have activated billing-relevance indicator F for item categories in Customizing, billing can refer to the goods receipt quantity instead of the incoming invoice quantity.
You can control whether the invoice receipt quantity or the quantity of goods received is relevant for billing in Customizing for copying control for billing at item level.
FOR YOUR PROCESS Individual Purchase Orders WELL GIVE THE RIGHT SOLUTION
Individual purchase orders are used when your customer orders goods from you that are not in stock and must be ordered from one or more external vendors.
    Process Flow
During sales order entry, the system automatically creates a purchase requisition item. The purchasing department creates a purchase order based on the requisition and the vendor ships the goods directly to you (unlike third party order processing, where the vendor ships directly to your customer). You then ship the goods to your customer. While the goods are part of your inventory, you manage them as part of the sales order stock. Sales order stock consists of stock that is assigned to specific sales orders and cannot be used for other purposes.
Goods receipt will be posted when ever the vendor ships the goods to our customer.
We will do this transaction in SAP using MIGO.
Invoice receipt is done when the Vendor sends us the invoice.. ( I.e Billing ).
It can be done using MIRO.
THe above two steps are standard and manual. There are many other ways that the actual process can happen. If the client follows EDI standards then the Goods receipt and Invoice receipt can be done through IDOCs automatically.
Process Flow for 3rd Party Sales
Customize the third party sales in summary:
    Prerequisites for 3rd party sales,
    Purchasing org,
    purchasing group,
assign the Purchase org to company code
    assign Purchase org to plant,
should not maintain the stock in material, it should be trading goods,
    1. Create Vendor XK01
    2. Create Material – Material Type as "Trading Goods". Item category group as "BANS".
    3. Assign Item Category TAS to Order type that you are going to use.
    4. A sale order is created and when saved a PR is generated at the background
    5. With reference to SO a PO is created (ME21N). The company raises PO to the vendor.
    6. Vendor delivers the goods and raises bill to company. MM receives the invoice MIRO
    7. Goods receipt MIGO
    8. Goods issue
    9. The item cat TAS or Schedule line cat CS is not relevant for delivery which is evident from the config and, therefore, there is no delivery process attached in the whole process of Third party sales.

Third party order processing is as follows:
    Assume three companies X, Y and Z
    X - The company,
    y - The customer
    Z - Vendor
When ever X gets a PO from Y to supply some goods, X has an option of either manufacturing those goods or procuring those goods.
If he is procuring the goods, there are two methods that are generally followed:
Method 1) After receiving the PO from Y, X creates a sales order against Y.
Now at the same time he also creates a PO to a vendor Z to produce the goods
Z produces the goods and supplies to X
X receives the goods from Z
Then X delivers the same goods to Y.
    After that X invoices Y and Z invoices X.
Note : Here there is no direct/ Indirect relation between Z and Y.
This process is known as Trading Process. and the Material here is created with Material type HAWA.
The other method is a Third party order processing method:
Here the glaring difference is that instead of Z supplying the material to X and X in turn supplying the same material to Y.
X authorizes Z to supply the material to Y on his behalf and notify him once the delivery is complete.
Now Z supplies the material to Y and acknowledges the same to X.
Z will send a copy of delivery acknowledgement and invoice to X.
After receiving the delivery confirmation and invoice from Z, X has to verify the invoice and this process is known as invoice verification and is done in SAP through Tcode MIRO.
The next step for X is to create an invoice and submit to Y
Only after the invoice verification document is posted then only X can create an invoice for Y.
This is the business flow that is followed for third party order configuration.
There are few steps that have to be configured to enable the system to function as mentioned above.
    Step1)
If you are always following a third party process for a material then you have to create the material using item category group BANS.
The procurement type should be marked as External procurement (F) in MRP 2 view of the material master record.
if you are not always allowing third party order processing then u can create a material master record with item category group as NORM and the procurement type should be marked as ( X) meaning both types of procurement ( in house manufacturing and external procurement).
    Step 2)
the item category in the order should be manually changed as TAS.
For that you need to configure the item category determination
Order type + item cat Group + Usage + High level = Item cat + Manual item cat
    OR + NORM + + = TAN + TAS
    OR + BANS + + = TAS
    Step 3)
make sure that during the item category configuration for TAS you need to mark relevant for billing indicator as F
    step 4)
The schedule line category for this type should be CS.
make sure that you mark subsequent type as NB - purchase requisition in this schedule line category as this will trigger the purchase requisition order immediately after the creation of the sales order and the PO to vendor is created against this purchase requisition.

  • Client level, chart of accounts level, company code level

Generally what are the areas under client level, chart of accounts level, company code level.
For Ex. document types are client level, number range company code level
like the above does we have any list which is falling in the above levels.

    1. Generally during customising when co code data is not asked , then settings are client level.
Country, Currency, Document types, all variants of diff types, chart of accounts, etc
    2. Every master is having data - General data level (client level) for use by all co codes, Co code data level(basically for accounting purposes) and so on.
These are applicable to GL, Vendor, Customer, Asset, Matlerials, etc
For particular application we have more information at another object level also- Vendor- Purchasing, Customer-Sales, materials-Plant- controlling, etc
    3. Chart of accounts level assignments are done for all automatic posting definitions-which is applicable to all company codes which are using same chart of accounts.
    4. In material setting- valuation can be grouping level, co code level or plant level as these are related to costing and product costing.
Hope the above will give some idea.
In the above nothing is written about CO as you have not asked-

  • How the maintain automatic account postings?

    Hi,
I was asked to change the account assignment from account 105000 to account 106000. This is only to occur for a certain movement type and material type/valuation class.
How can I make sure of this? How do I change the acc. cat ref. or value string for this?
    Thanks a lot!!
    Renate

    Hi
Use T.code OBYC for automatic account assignmnets for MM-FI.
To understand the logic follow the below screens:
OMWN--Movement types are linked to Transaction keys via valuation string
OMWD--This T.code groups together valuation areas(combi of plant,co.cd,chart of accounts)
OBYC--Automatic account assignments based on Transaction key like GBB,WRX etc.
    Assign points if useful

  • About automatic account assignment

    hi,
in one interview i faced a question ie: what are the sequencial steps involved in configur automatic account assignment?
can i get a answer from seniors

    Configure automatic postings
In this step, you enter the system settings for Inventory Management and
Invoice Verification transactions for automatic postings to G/L accounts.
You can then check your settings using a simulation function.
Under Further information there is a list of transactions in Materials
        Management and their definitions.
    What are automatic postings?
Postings are made to G/L accounts automatically in the case of Invoice
Verification and Inventory Management transactions relevant to Financial
        and Cost Accounting.
    Example:
Posting lines are created in the following accounts in the case of a
goods issue for a cost center:
        o  Stock account
        o  Consumption account
How does the system find the relevant accounts?
When entering the goods movement, the user does not have to enter a G/L
account, since the R/3 System automatically finds the accounts to which
postings are to be made using the following data:
o  Chart of accounts of the company code
If the user enters a company code or a plant when entering a
transaction, the R/3 System determines the chart of accounts which is
           valid for the company code.
You must define the automatic account determination individually for
           each chart of accounts.
o  Valuation grouping code of the valuation area
If the automatic account determination within a chart of accounts is
to run differently for certain company codes or plants (valuation
areas), assign different valuation grouping codes to these valuation
           areas.
You must define the automatic account determination individually for
every valuation grouping code within a chart of accounts. It applies
to all valuation areas which are assigned to this valuation grouping
           code.
If the user enters a company code or a plant when entering a
transaction, the system determines the valuation area and the
           valuation grouping code.
o  Transaction/event key (internal processing key)
Posting transactions are predefined for those inventory management and
invoice verification transactions relevant to accounting. Posting
records, which are generalized in the value string, are assigned to
each relevant movement type in inventory management and each
transaction in invoice verification. These contain keys for the
relevant posting transaction (for example, inventory posting and
      Transaction/event key (internal processing key)
Posting transactions are predefined for those inventory management and
invoice verification transactions relevant to accounting. Posting
records, which are generalized in the value string, are assigned to
each relevant movement type in inventory management and each
transaction in invoice verification. These contain keys for the
relevant posting transaction (for example, inventory posting and
consumption posting) instead of actual G/L account numbers.
You do not have to define these transaction keys, they are determined
automatically from the transaction (invoice verification) or the
movement type (inventory management). All you have to do is assign the
relevant G/L account to each posting transaction.
Account grouping (only for offsetting entries, consignment
      liabilities, and price differences)
Since the posting transaction "Offsetting entry for inventory posting"
is used for different transactions (for example, goods issue,
scrapping, physical inventory), which are assigned to different
accounts (for example, consumption account, scrapping, expense/income
from inventory differences), it is necessary to divide the posting
transaction according to a further key: account grouping code.
An account grouping is assigned to each movement type in inventory
management which uses the posting transaction "Offsetting entry for
      inventory posting".
Under the posting transaction "Offsetting entry for inventory
posting", you must assign G/L accounts for every account grouping,
      that is, assign G/L accounts.
If you wish to post price differences to different price difference
accounts in the case of goods receipts for purchase orders, goods
receipts for orders, or other movements, you can define different
account grouping codes for the transaction key.
Using the account grouping, you can also have different accounts for
      consignment liabilities and pipeline liabilities.
Valuation class of material or (in case of split valuation) the
      valuation type
The valuation class allows you to define automatic account
determination that is dependent on the material. for example: you post
a goods receipt of a raw material to a different stock account than if
the goods receipt were for trading goods, even though the user enters
the same transaction for both materials.
You can achieve this by assigning different valuation classes to the
materials and by assigning different G/L accounts to the posting
      transaction for every valuation class.
If you do not want to differentiate according to valuation classes you
do not have to maintain a valuation class for a transaction.
Before you maintain automatic postings, you must obtain the following
       information:
    1. Valuation level (plant or company code)
Establish whether the materials are valuated at plant or at company
          code level
When valuation is at plant level, the valuation area corresponds to a
          plant.
When valuation is at company code level, the valuation area
          corresponds to a company code.
          Define valuation level
    2. Chart of accounts and valuation grouping code per valuation area
Find out whether the valuation grouping code is active.
          Activate split valuation
If it is not active, determine the chart of accounts assigned to each
valuation area (via the company code).
If it is active, determine the chart of accounts and the valuation
grouping code assigned to each valuation area.
          Group valuation areas
You must define a separate account determination process for chart of
accounts and each valuation grouping code.
    3. Valuation class per material type
If you wish to differentiate the account determination process for
specific transactions according to valuation classes, find out which
valuation classes are possible for each material type.
          Define valuation classes
    4. Account grouping for offsetting entries to stock accounts
Under Define account grouping for movement types, determine for which
movement types an account grouping is defined for the
transaction/event keys GGB (offsetting entry to stock posting), KON
(consignment liabilities) and PRD (price differences).
    Default settings
G/L account assignments for the charts of accounts INT and the valuation
grouping code 0001 are SAP standard.

    automatic account assignment.
    Regards,
    Nisha

    hi,
spro --> Materials management --> valuation and account assignment --> account determination --> account determination without wizard.
    under this we have:
define valuation control, group together valuation areas, define account grouping for movement types.
in transaction OMWN, you will find account grouping.
    1.     Valuation area:  plant or company code ( SAP recommends Plant)
    2.     Valuation class ( 4 Character ID )
    3.     Account Category Reference   Grouping of valuation class for the purpose of Automatic Account Determination.
    4.     Valuation Grouping Code/ Valuation Modifier
     4 Character ID, used to group valuation areas for the purpose of automatic account determination
            88p1      8888   CAUS   0001
             88p2      8888   CAUS   0001
    •     The plants belongs to same company code can have same grouping code.
    •     The plants belongs to same company code can have different grouping code
    •     The plant belongs to different company codes can have same grouping code.
EX:  valuation grouping code     valuation class      G/L
         0001                    3000          300000
         0002                    3000          690000
    5.     Transaction / Event key
     It is an internal processing key which facilitates in automatic determination of accounts.  The system uses internally, what accounts have to be picked up.
         3 Character ID
     Some of the Standard Transaction/Event keys are
    1.  BSX   -- Inventory postings  ( Stock postings )
    2.  BSP   -- Stock Change account

  • Document type KR is not picking to Clear GL account with T-code F-03

    Hi all,
My client wants to clear GL account Cash-in-Transit which is open item managed. He has posted two items. One is with KR document type like Intercompnay adjustment account debit (40) and Cash-in-Transit account credit (50). Second item is with SA document type like Cash-in-Transit accont debit (40) and Intercompany adjustment account credit (50). He did not give vendor number and appropriate posting key (31) while postings. With document type KR, he posted with posting keys 40 and 50. Now while clearing the GL account through T-code F-03, system is picking only SA document type. The system is not picking document type KR. He wants to clear the items with each other. I have checked the document type settings. Check boxes Intercompany postings and trading partner are active in both above document types.
How can the GL account be cleared ? Are any configuration settings missing ? Kindly advice as soon as possible.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    K.S.K

    Hi,
First of all..why would system need a Exchange gain/Loss Account..If your local currency is INR and you posted a debit and a credit document both in INR..then there is no question of a foreign exchange gain/loss account..
BUT, if you have posted the document in any currency other than INR, ie: your local currency...then the system would need a exchnage gain/loss account when you try to clear the debits and credits.. i am giving an example below to explain better..
    You posted a debit of 100 USD @ 40 = Rs. 4000.00
    You posted a Credit of 100 USD @ 42 = Rs. 4200.00
Now, if you clear this debit and credit then there is no difference in 100 USD, as the debit and credit is netting off.. but if you see INR there is a difference of Rs. 200.00 which system posts to Exchange gain/loss account..which we maintain in OB09.
Hope it is clear to you now..
    Regards,
    SAPFICO.

  • How to reassign new chart of accounts to company code

I created company code, assigned fiscal year K4 to 4040 co. code. Later on I created Open/Close Posting period/Assign Company code to Fiscal Year. I prepared new chart of accounts 4040 for Canadian company.
When I tried to assign 4040 chart of accounts to my company code in Fin Actg Global Settings, I notcied that automaticlly CACA (Chart of accounts Canada was already assigned. I tried to replac CACA by 4040 But error message "Reset company code data before changing the chart of accounts"
I tried to delete G/L accounts Tnasaction code OBR1 & OBR2 But nothing changed.
I wish to assignment of chart of accounts in company code in Global settings & wish to re-assign different chart of accounts. I have not created any assignment of company code to controlling area, plant, sales organization, etcu2026 While removing this it says Reset company code data before changing the chart of accounts. Screenshot is attached.
    1)       When I am trying to remove assignment of K4 fiscal year to company code it does not allow me. SO how to solve this problem.
Should I delete company code & then retry the same?
Please suggest how to reassign chart of accounts to company code as no data like customer, vendor or sales transaction is made.
    Pl advise solution THANKS

    Hi Paul,
Thanks for the answer. I have not copy any company code to my co. code 4040. Just as new entry I created 4040 company code. In Org object Check everything about table found OK. No seprate G/L A/C is created by me for co. code 4040
To see if company code is productive means Active? In "Enter Global Parameter? Tab-->Cost of Sales Accounting ACTV is 2. When I tried to make it Inactive (Blank), it is not allowing me and showing error msg as below.
You do this in Customizing as follows: Cross-Application Components -> Bank Directory -> Change Message Control.
I checked this but asking for Application Area to put & I do not know hwat area I should put.
Am I going right as suggested by you?
I had deleted G/L accounts earlier but Sales Actg is active so sould not go ahead.
As per Venkat I had decided to delete company code, But I want to solve without deletion.
I am SD guy so asking many Qs of FICO as I am learning now.
    Thanks
Reason why you are not able to delete the assignment is that, you have already created GL accounts for the COA. I hope you have not done any posting using those GL accounts.
First of all please make that you company code is not set as productive. if set prodictive you will not be able to delete any master data. So please remove the productive check(if any).
Then you try to delete the GL account that you have created for the COA. once you delete the GL account the system might ask for the deletion of the account group. After that you should be able to change the assignment.
