MMB Generation from XML

Ive successfuly developed a PLSQL package to build a dynamic menu in XML which I then convert into a menu MMB file using the ifxml2f90 utility supplied with 9iDS. I can run all this locally on my PC.
Now that its working I want to deploy it to our DB Unix server. Our DBAs are telling me that the ifxml2f90 utility requires an install of 9iDS on our unix server and that this is outwith our licensing agreement.
Is there a way that I can do this without a full install of 9iDS on Unix?

If you can use an XSLT engine in Java,
we provide that today with the Oracle XML Parser V2.
We do not presently have a C/C++
implementation of the XSLT engine.

Flex UI generation from xml input

hi,
i have a requirement where user will create xml file for the ui screen that he wants,the xml file will contain the information about the components to be placed on the screen for eg. label,combobox,button etc
we want to write a program which will parse this xml file and spit out corresponding flex mxml file so basically i am looking for code generator for mxml file,
could you please suggest an approach to create such a programme

I have checked the startSQLRepository script by using this we can export or import repository data from xml to repository.But in startSQLRepository there is no attribute to generate sql
insert scripts from data xmls but there is a option to get the sql scripts(-ouputSQL).

Catalog generation from info record

I'm studying CCM 2.0 to implement catalog processes and I've seen a presentation from SAP that when implementing that classic scenario, I can transfer info record, contracts and material master from ECC to CCM via transaction MECCM.
1- What's the matter of importing info records? Only to see the last price that I've practiced for a product/supplier?
2- Is there a manner to set the replication to only transfer material contracts and not service ones? Can I set it in the contract in ECC?

1- What's the matter of importing IR ? Your question could be resumed to "What's the matter of using PIR in R/3 ? ))))". Some SAP users are using PIR only, and not contracts. So this is THE source of material/vendor price.
2- In MECCM standard transaction, you don't have material type filter, but material ID. If yo uhave linked material types to different number ranges you could use material ID. Otherwise you can easily copy this program to add your own criterias. This program is rather simple:
- data extraction (material/contracts/PIR)
- XML generation
- send XML to XI proxy

Three options come to my mind.
Option 1: Use SAP transaction SXDA_TOOLS (Object Type BUS2032), Program Type (BAPI) and Program (CREATEFROMDAT2).
Option 2: Use SAP transaction SXDA_TOOLS (Object Type BUS2032), Program Type (DINP) and Program (RVINVB10).
Option 3: Translate the xml to IDoc so that ORDER04 / ORDER05 Idoc can be used to create Sales order (WEDI transaction).

Just use the appropriate API's for that. There are enough API's out which can read/parse/write XML, ini and properties files. E.g. JAXP or DOM4J for xml files, INI4J for ini files and Sun's own java.util.Properties for propertiesfiles.
JSF supports properties files as message bundle and resource bundle so that you can use them for error messages and/or localization.

Crystal Report generation using XML

I have some reports that were created using XML and as I recall when I created them using CR v. 9 I used a connections called ADO (Xml) or something like that. On one of my machines I have CR XI and the only option available is XML and when I add a field from this connection it inserts: "{NewDataSet\TableName.FieldName}" however, previously when I used the ADO XML connections it only inserted {TableName.FieldName}. In the version 9 CR i was using the professsional version and in the version 11 CR it is still the professional version but I can't seem to create an XML connector that doesn't prefix the table/field with "NewDataSet". My request is two fold, first, can you please direct me to some articles that I can read to better understand how to generate CR from XML? My project is to generate the XML and then set the xml during runtime into the report using SetDataSource and then display the report using the CR viewing that I package and redist with my app. Secondly, why does the ADO XML connector not available in CR XI professional version and is there any way to get the CR v. 9 behaviour back?

If you are planning to run reports from a .NET application, you need to have the Developer edition, not the professional.
The ADO.NET Driver is not installed by default. Go into Control Panel - Add / Remove programs, and chose Crystal Reports, and change. You can expand the Database drivers, and you should see the ADO.NET driver there. Note: you need to have the .NET framework installed for this to work.

I updated my iPod touch 4th generation from the latest iOS 4 update (i think maybe iOS 4.3.5 or something like that) to iOS 5.1.1. I updated to iOS 5.1.1 on a Windows XP Home Edition with the Service Pack 3 installed on the Windows XP (which I believe is the latest version). After updating, I unplugged my iPod from the computer. I saw that all my photos and videos were on my iPod, but there were no apps. A window popped up and told me to enter a passcode for my iPod. I entered a passcode. I then locked my iPod and entered what I thought to be the correct passcode, but my iPod remained unlocked. Desperate, I tried many passcodes with failure. After a while, my iPod became disabled for a long time. I decided to reset my iPod. After I reseted it, I chose to reset from my earlier back up. After reseting, my computer loaded on all my apps. But, when I started using my iPod, I realized all my photos, videos, music, app data (like game saves and high scores), etc. were gone! I have no idea what to do and I am very stressed about this! SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME GET ALL MY STUFF BACK!!!!!!

Go to iTunea>Preferences>Devices and see if there is a backupright at the time you did the update. Then try restoring from that backup. If the apps are in your iTunes library, any app data will be restored to the iPod.
When restoring from an iOS 4 (or later) backup, if the device had a passcode set, iTunes will ask if you want to set a passcode (and remind you that you had protected your device with a passcode). iTunes will not ask you to set a passcode when restoring from iOS 3.x and prior backups.
Therefore, remembe the passcode that you enter this time.
It appears that if you restore from a backup, that backup is not subseqyently overwritten by the next backup.

Printing on Pre-printed stationary from XML Publisher

Hi,
I have a requirement where a report is to be printed on pre-printed stationary from XML Publisher. The stationary would be NCR paper and has to be printed from a dot matrix printer.
My first question is whether report generated from XMLP can be printed thro'
dot matrix printer, coz as far as i know it takes only character format .If yes, do we need any special handling?
If anybody has any experience related to this problem, please let me know the approach.

I see what you've got.
It is not uncommon to use character mode output for pre-printed stationery.
This would appear as draft output from a Dot Matrix printer. I hope you understand what I mean here. It is somthing like printing using fixed width font.
Design and run the report with MODE=CHARACTER from the command line.
You need to figure out and design the layout in such a way that you are printing in the empty spaces provided in the pre-printed stationery. This is usually by trial and error method. You may probably blow several pre-printed stationery sheets before you get it right.
