Mobile phone SMS reader application in LabVIEW

Dear All,
I would like to develop mobile phone SMS reader/Writer in LabVIEW. This application finally i would like to use for system automation.  Any one have idea how i can develop such application
--Vishnu

there are two ways to implement it.
Purchase a GSM modem and interface it with LabVIEW thourgh serial communication. Once you decide on specific modem then we can help you further with actual implemetnation.
you can use internet based SMS gateways which will actually deliver the SMS. most of these gateways will send SMS when you send  an email to their id. the format of mail vary from gateway to gatway. However as per latest rules from TRAI, SMS from SMS gateway will not be delivered if intended receiver has subscribed "do not call"

Has anyone Got a version 5.1 or earlier VI that will get a mobile phone to
send an SMS message. Most phones have data cables that you can plug in. Sort
of a paging application that I have in mind. Before I research the phones
and dig up whatever protocal they use , I thought it was worth asking if
anyone had already done it !

  • How to find out the mobile number of the mobile phone?

    Hi,
I have a question concerning the mobile number of the mobile phone a pushregistry application is installed on.
At first start of the program i do a HTTP GET Request to a webserver. I would like to send the mobile number from the mobile phone in order to identifty the request stamps from.
    Thanks

Are you serious? But you can receive SMS, and you can send SMS, both of them should now where they go to or where they stamp from?
Can't I use WMA in any way to obtain the number?
I mean, if I can send an sms to someone then I should be able to determine my mobile number?
One way to solve this problem: I could send an SMS to a static number, this client sends back an SMS with the receiver number within the payload text..
but isn't there a more elegant solution?

  • How to fetch Mobile phone number of shipto?

    Hello Gurus,
In showbusinesspartner.jsp, along with all the details like name, telephone number i want to show mobile phone number also. I am not able to find any method to fetch it. If any of you have some idea of how to fetch it, please help me.
    Thank you
    Lakshman

    HI
u can get this info from the request header
    String mobile=request.getHeader("msisdn");
also all the info regarding the mobile is get from
request.getHeaderWhen an incomming call arrivies, the midlet goes in the background until the call ends. How do you expect to get the msisdn? What is the connection between the request object and the incoming call? I think you are refering to the part where you open a connection from the mobile phone through an application to a server side.

  • How do I edit PDF forms on a mobile phone?

    Hi,
I'm using the FormsCentral App (Acrobat XI) to create the PDF form and have distributed it as open.  I can complete it on a PC using reader as required.
What I need to do is have the form on mobile phones with reader installed where they can be edited and returned.
I'm testing on a Windows phone but the main phones will be Android (eg Galaxy), the form opens on the phones but will not edit.
I'm probably missing something, please advise.

    Hi;
Adobe Reader on both iOS and Android devices can fill out and Submit the FormsCentral PDF forms.  Your Android target audience should be OK.
For Windows Phone it does not work, as far as I understand Adobe Reader on Windows Phone does not yet support filling forms.
    Thanks,

  • 100% width rectangles not stretching 100% in mobile (phone view)

Muse shows that the rectangle stretches to 100% width, but on iOS devices (iphone 4 and 5), there is a gap by the scroll bar. Since mobile is vital to web development, I would love to know when this fix is coming???

Could you please attach the file again?

  • Using labview applications on mobile phones

    Hello,
I am interested in using LabVIEW applications on Mobile Phones. Kindly suggest how it could be used and which type of mobile phones are suitable it.
    Thanks

    Hi Intelligent,
National Instruments has a Mobile Module for developing applications specifically for mobile devices.  Check out this article for supported devices: LabVIEW Mobile Module Software Requirements and Supported Devices.
In addition, if you device runs Windows XP Embedded, you should be able to install the LabVIEW Runtime Engine and then run an executable built in LabVIEW.

  • Send short message from Java application on mobile phone to server; http

    hi mlk
i found the rxtx api, but i got now a question,
how to connect to a usb port?
it seems that it is easy to deal with com port or serial port, but until this moment usb didnt work,
in my case, the mobile is connected via usb port.
this a code that uses the RXTX API, whaere do i need to modify to connect using usb?
*note, the following code is written by someone else, it works via com port...

I have been having problems in implementing a simple application that fetches information from a server to a mobile phone, then using OTA midlet capabilities.
Have you got any code that you have tested on the device rather then on the emulator only?
All the samples i have used from books and online sources didnt work with my server.
The midlet simply asks for connection and then it gets stuck without displaying anything.
    Please gimme some hints :)
