Modified Date as dInDate during checkin into UCM

Hi UCM Experts,
Is there a way I can map Windows "Modified Date" for a file to dInDate in UCM during checkin?
Currently it takes the present date as dInDate, when you checkin using web-interface or DIS.
Is that normal behaviour or else if it is a bug, is anyone aware of any patches?
Regards,
Prateek

It's totally fine mate. May be I should re-phrase my question:
- Is there a way to capture the binary file object passed as primary file, in UCM's java checkin filter? If yes, how?
The user copies a bulk of documents to a DIS folder. The user identifies his current working files more by their last modified date.
Hence, once the files are copied into DIS folder, all dates are lost.
Our problem is mainly during bulk upload using folders (DIS). The time of copy operation is taken as dInDate, being the default behavior of UCM.
We wish to override this if there is a way to capture the date during upload + if the Modified date in file object is passed as it is, from source location.
I hope some Java/HTTP guru should be able to help me with this! :)

Prateek

  • Date Modified & Date Created- All the same date

    I have somehow caused all my "Date Modified and Date Created" to have the same date (Month-Day-Year & Time) for all the folders and every piece of work I have in them. How do I get all my files to read their original date created/ modified and saved back again. It's important for the work I do.
    Thank you

    I, too, have "date" problems on my MacBook (with operating system Mac OS X). We just got the computer this month and had the Genius Bar download much of our files from our old Dell computer. The problem is that every date is incorrect, from the Created date to the Modified Date. For instance, here are some interesting dates: "Created 2/6/40" or "Modified 1/18/38." Now, the computer SHOULD know that these dates are well into the future. I checked out Preferences, and the date setting is correct. But somehow the Mac system screwed up all the Created and Modified dates on ALL the files it copied from our Dell, and even the current dates (such as the Modified date noted above) have years into the future. If you cannot set the dates correctly in Preferences, where in heck CAN you set them--and why is the Mac making up such odd dates?? Thanks!

  • Integrate external domain data (Flickr, etc) into UCM pages

    We have many Site Studio sites built in UCM deploying via SSPU to remote web servers. We seem to always run up against the challenge of getting external data (e.g. Flickr) into our Site Studio templates written in IdocScript because of cross-domain issues with AJAX.
    Has anyone come up with a solution for this? Would the best approach be to write a Java component to extend IdocScript or create a new Content Server service?
    Thanks,

    This question is resolved. We ended up activating purchasing module and used purchasing documents PR/ PO to integrate with third party purchasing system.

  • Importing Notes into SOD - How can I set the Last Modified Date?

    We are still in the process of getting all of our users over to Siebel. We launched in waves and therefore have some users who were still utilizing the legacy systems while some were working away in Siebel. What I'm trying to do now is to take the reps notes from the legacy system and bring them back over into Siebel. I've got the file created with the account external id, subject, note(description) and the date the note was created in the legacy system. When I try to import the date can not be set and is defaulting to the date the acutal note was created in Siebel.
    This is a problem as I have 3 years of account history that must get loaded and if I import it all now it will push the current notes in the system to the very bottom of the list which will upset the reps who started uisng Siebel in the first wave.
    My goal is simply to order them from newest on top to oldest but I can't seem to find a way to do that using the import tool as Last Modified Date isn't an option for me to import.
    Is there a way to do it? If not does anyone know of a work around to achieve the same goal?
    Any help is much appreciated.
    - john

    Would that show up in the Notes section of the account detail if I do that? I've never tried that one before.
    After the R16 releiase the reps use the "hover" functionality to see their notes data in the top right of the application (or in the notes section of the account details).

  • Date not changing based on timezone during insert into database...

    I have a bpel project that gets data in GMT and insert into a database that's based on EST timezone...for some reason during insert into database, I expect it to reflect the time in EST time, but it's not doing so. It's a standard oracle bpel project and there was no customization to the date input. The following are the details:
    input data:
    <InvoiceDate>
    <GLogDate>20110613213249</GLogDate>
    <TZId>UTC</TZId>
    <TZOffset>+00:00</TZOffset>
    </InvoiceDate>
    date I get after transformation:
    <ns5:invoiceDate> 2011-06-13T21:32:49 </ns5:invoiceDate>
    date that gets inserted into the database:
    6/13/2011 9:32:49 PM
    Any thoughts as to what's going on? Is this the intended fuctionality or how does it adjust itself to the daylight saving? I thought database itself would handle it in this case.
    Thanks,

    From your description, it sounds totally like you are using Manually Scheduled tasks, which is not what you should be using in your project.  If you look at the Gantt bars in the Gantt Chart view of your project, if the Gantt bars are a turquoise color,
    you are using Manually Scheduled tasks, and that would be the reason that the dates do not automatically calculate for you.  If this is the case, click the Select All button to select every task in the project.  In the Tasks section of your Task
    ribbon, click the Auto Schedule button.  From this point forward, your project schedule will automatically recalculate every time you make any kind of schedule edit.
    Also, in the lower left corner of the Microsoft Project application window, you will probably see a button that says New Tasks: Manually Scheduled.  Click this button and select the Auto Scheduled option.
    To avoid all of these problems in all future projects, click File > Options.  In the Project Options dialog, click the Schedule tab.  In the Scheduling Options for This Project section, click the pick list where you see the name of your project
    and select the All New Projects item on the pick list.  Click the New Tasks Created pick list and select the Auto Scheduled option.  Click the OK button.
    Hope this helps.

  • Get original file creation and modified date during upload - ONLY in explorerview ??

    Hi,
    SharePoint and me are having a difficult time again ;-)
    I have the customer requirement to retain the original file's creation date and modified date.
    Please do not start replying by just pasting links that you might find while searching for the keywords "retain creation date".
    In a nutshell I found out that the original dates are only available in SharePoint if the
    explorerview has been used. I always thought that the explorerview is a bad thing, but only here - the original creation date is stored in a property called "vti_ct". In the itemupdated eventreceiver you can get the
    value and work with it.
    Complete list of available properties
    http://sbrickey.com/Tech/Blog/Post/Secrets_Revealed_SP_Event_Receivers_firing_multiple_times
    Here I found the hint with the explorerview
    http://answers.flyppdevportal.com/categories/sharepoint2010/sharepoint2010programming.aspx?ID=57bfd5f5-941f-4a89-919d-cdf7b0b801be
    It is only available in the 2nd loop of the itemupdated event.
    How the f*** can this happen??? The 2nd post states that when using the explorerview the file is being copied, while it is being re-created by using the SharePoint UI.
    Has anyone a different approach for using the SharePoint UI?
    I thought about different approaches for this issue. From my perspective it seems to be not solvable from the server-side. It seems only to be able to be set using a client application.
    Example 1: spbulkdocumentimport
    http://spbulkdocumentimport.codeplex.com/wikipage?title=Features&referringTitle=Documentation
    Example 2: implement a custom webservice
    http://blog.orbitone.com/post/Preserve-created-and-modified-information-when-importing-a-document-in-SharePoint
    How do you deal with this customer requirement?
    Open for discussions
    Sven

    Hi,
    Newbie to SharePoint, learn quite a lot from the links you provided.
    “I found out that the original dates are only available in SharePoint if the explorerview has been used”, this would make sense because the original creation time is generated
    by the file system in the local machine.
    However, when a file is uploaded to SharePoint library, it will be stored as binary data in the database, as well as the newly created time. It means that it will be a “new” file
    in the SharePoint site regardless of where it comes from.
    Per my knowledge, the only way I can suggest is that you will need to create a client desktop application for the file uploading, which will be a more general way not only for
    uploading a file, but also when we need to migrate files between different systems.
    Thanks

  • How can I input data from a Frontend site into a Backend SWF, pull data, then send back to Front?

    So here's what I'm trying to figure out...
    I have a site with an SWF that I can put some metrics into, such as ZIP Code, Weight, etc..    then, it takes that info and gives me shipping rates.
    I need to build a front-end site that I can have a forms page that will push data to the backend SWF, and then return the data back from the SWF to the front end.
    Any ideas how to do that?
    Front-end -> SWF (Zip Code, Weight, Size) -> *Calculates* -> Front-End
    That should be the flow..     So I need to send data to the backend, GET the data that it calculated, and return the results to my front-end.
    Thanks Much..  any questions, please ask..

    Depending on what the data looks like coming from the Flash movie, you can use the get or send method to output data from the Flash movie using URLRequest. You can look at the online help example for the URLVariables class. You will still need to use or create a server side script to read in the data, make the changes and send the modified data back. That will be a perl or PHP script and is outside the scope of this forum.

  • How to read data from an internal table into a real table?

    Hello experts,
    I'm relatively new to ABAP and I'm trying to figure out how to read data from an internal table into a table that I created.  I'm trying to use the RRW3_GET_QUERY_VIEW_DATA function module to read data from a multiprovider.  I'm trying to read data from the e_cell_data and e_axis_data tables into a table that I've already created.  Please see code below.
    TABLES MULTITAB.
    DATA:
      query_name TYPE RSZCOMPID,
      s_cubename TYPE RSINFOPROV,
      t_cell_data TYPE RRWS_T_CELL,
      t_axis_data TYPE RRWS_THX_AXIS_DATA,
      t_axis_info TYPE RRWS_THX_AXIS_INFO,
      wa_t_cell_data like line of t_cell_data,
      wa_t_axis_data like line of t_axis_data,
      w_corp_tab like line of t_cell_data.
    s_cubename = 'CORP_MPO1'.
    query_name = 'Z_corp_test'.
        CALL FUNCTION 'RRW3_GET_QUERY_VIEW_DATA'
           EXPORTING
             i_infoprovider           = s_cubename
             i_query                  = query_name
            i_t_parameter            = query_string_tab

             e_axis_data              = t_axis_data
             e_axis_info              = t_axis_info.
    If anyone has any information to help me, I would greatly appreciate it.  Thanks.

    Hi,
    <li>Once you call the function module RRW3_GET_QUERY_VIEW_DATA, lets say data is available in the corresponding tables e_cell_data e_axis_data which you have mentioned.

  • Photoshop CC on Windows 7 is saving the file "date" as the created date not the modified date

    I have been using a much older version of PS (CS2) and just decided to update to PS CC. I have installed the trial version of PS CC and will begin the CC subscription as soon as the trial expires.
    I have noticed that PS CC saves the (main) date of the files as the "created date" not the "modified date" as it pertains to Windows Explorer and the Windows OS.
    Here is what is happening: I have a file that I created in 2007 that I use for a template. It is sized to specific dimensions, etc. and when I do my save as, it automatically saves into the desired file folder, so that's why I use this as a template. I setup a new photo and then drag and drop it into my template, flatten the image and save as. When doing this with PS CS2, the date for the newly saved file was assigned as the modified date (current date and time). So, when I searched for the file in Windows Explorer or when I went to open the file, the date shown for the file was the modified date. NOW, with PS CC when I perform the exact same process and do a save as, the file date shown in Windows Explorer and/or when I go to open the file is showing as the created date (3/9/2007), the date that I created and saved the template I use. This is aggravating to me because now when I want to open a file and sort by date, the date shown in Windows Explorer is not accurate. As far as I can tell, this only happens in PS CC. When I open an old file with ID CC and do a save as, it applies the current date, not the created date. And, when I was using PS CS2, whenever I did a save as the current date was applied as well.
    In summary, when performing a save as, the created date is being applied as the main date instead of the modified date. The question is: Is there a way to change this so that the modified date can be applied as the main date for the file when performing a save as?

    Below are two files created the exact same way on the exact same computer: the top one was saved in PS CS2 and the bottom one was saved in PS CC. Both were saved using the "Save As" command. You will notice that when the "Save As" command was used in CS2 it updated the "Created:" date, however, in the CC version the "Created:" date was not updated, only the "Modified:" date was updated. Is there a way to update the "Created:" date when performing a "Save As" in PS CC?

  • How to convert date format(mm/dd/yy) into dd-mm-yy

    I want to convert date format(mm/dd/yy) into dd-mm-yy

    hey, you can use SimpleDateFormat to format your date. this is sample code, maybe could help you.
    class dateFormat
         public static void main(String[] args)
              Date now = new Date();
              System.out.println("Before format : "+now);
              SimpleDateFormat sdf = new SimpleDateFormat( "dd-MM-yy" );//Change your date format in here.
              String display = sdf.format(now);
              System.out.println("After format : "+display);
    }If you already understand about my sample code, i think it's easy to make your own date format. Just modified few line of my code.

  • Changing the Modified Date of a List Item using the SharePoint Client Object Model (C#) with Contribute Permission

    I have a small snippet of code that I use to update the Modified Date of a list item and it works great for users with Full Control permissions.  However, for users with just Contribute access to the site the code doesn't work.  Instead, SharePoint
    just updates the Modified Date to now.
    I did some testing, and narrowed down the specific permission level that allows updating of Modified dates and oddly enough, it's the "Manage Permissions" level.
    Has anyone run into this issue? If so, how do I work around this and update the Modified date as a user with only Contribute access to a site/library?
    Here's the code:
    DateTime Test = new DateTime(2012, 5, 4);
    ListItem li = list.GetItemById(itemID);
    li["Modified"] = Test;
    li.Update();
    ct.ExecuteQuery();
    Thanks,

    Hello,
    As a workaround you can pass admin credential in your code because as per my knowledge contributor can't update default columns like: created by, modified by, modified, created.
    ClientContext clientContext = newClientContext(siteUrl);
    ClientContext.Credentials = newNetworkCredential(UserName, Password, Domain);
    Hope it could help

  • *.eml Time Stamp - Select File in Windows Explorer Changes the Modified Date

    The Windows Live Mail *.eml files time stamp is getting changed to the current date when the file is selected in the Windows Explorer! I save backup copies of important E-mails to folders on the Hard Drive and then synchronize them with the same folders on other LAN Hard Drives for backup archives. When these E-mail files are selected or opened from the Windows Explorer in the Windows 7 OPS the Modified Date Time Stamp is changed to the current date automatically! This action creates a real problem when doing later synchronizations of all of the folders! The date will not be the original date of the E-mail and the original file will be over copied with the file with the newest date stamp. I stopped Indexing on the *.eml files and that stopped the time stamp change when overcopy synchronization, but if the file is selected during a viewing in Windows Explorer then the Time Stamp is updated to the current date again! A solution to this problem would be greatly appreciated if anybody knows of one. Thanks - - - Shorto

    The Date and Timestamp changing issue in Windows 7 has a two part fix!
    1. Disable the Indexing of the *.eml file type in the Indexing Options located by Clicking on "Control Panel" -  "Indexing Options" - Advanced Button - File Types Tab - scroll down to the .eml file type and uncheck the Box then click OK to finish, so
    that the Email type of files won't be Indexed.
    2. Delete the Registry Entry listed below, be sure to Export and Save the original Key so it could be Restored if something goes wrong!  \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\PropertySystem\PropertyHandlers
     and Delete the .eml entry
    That should fix the problem with the changing Date/Timestamp of Email Files. For more information read CarlS's WindowsSeven Fourm thread where I also have more input:

  • Identify modified date/time and name of SOURCE file

    I can't seem to find a way to store/retrieve the last-modified date/time of the SOURCE file (as well as filename) used to create a PDF. I looked into the default metadata, but it seems to store only the last-modified date of the PDF.

    I'm sorry, maybe I'm a little slow, but I would need more detailed specs on how to solve the problem. Is this something you have implemented yourself? If so, how?
