Modify the UI of the testplayer is LSO CP

Dear All,
We have implemented SAP Learning Solution on SAP Netweaver Portal with dual stack (ABAP + JAVA Engine).
As a part of enhancements, We enable online test is LSO and need to change the color scheme and the feedback table template of the testplayer in LSO CP.
We followed the SAP note : 746917, to make the changes in the UI of Testplayer in LSO CP.
In the same note, They mentioned after replacing the modified testplayer.jar file , we need to restart the LSO CP service .
So Using SAP Visual Administrator tool, We restarted the LSO CP Service. Content Player was working fine for some 3-4 hours. After that , we got an error stating "R3 Login Failed " in the content player.
Is it necessary to restart the whole server (ABAP + JAVA) for making these changes to effect?
What could be the problem. ? The same modifications was working fine with development and quality server after restarting tge com.sap.hcm.ls.webapps service in the visual administrator. Only in production server, We are facing this issue.?

with System items it is not allowed to chage values via datasources, hence the error...
You need to change the value using the items specific.
Example: Edittext
Item i = form.Items.Item("UID");
Edittext et = (Edittext)i.specific;
et.value = "new value";
Changing a matrix value is a bit trickier
Example:
Item iMatrix = form.Items.Item("UID");
Matrix m = (Matrix)iMatrix.Specific
//Get column
Column col = m.Columns.Item("colUid");
((EditText)col.Cells.Item(RowIndex).Specific).Value = "new value";
