Modifying the size of cells in calendar

All:
Is it even possible to modify the size of the cells?. The cells are too narrow and all my contents are wrapped and looks cluttered. Any thoughts?.

Hello,
The specific layout of a calendar is almost totally controlled by css. Just find out what the CSS controlling your specific template is, by looking at the template HTML itself or using something like Firebug and then adjust accordingly.
You don't need to change the CSS that is shipped with APEX, in fact I discourage that, but just override it by including in a custom css file or snippet after the standard one is included.
If you don't know CSS here is a good place to start http://www.w3schools.com/css/default.asp it's well worth the time to spend an hour or two learning at least the basics, it will save you countless hours later in any web development environment.

Two things to try:
with some Applications it helps to hold down the the "Option Key" while pressing the green "maximize Window" button.
If that does not help try this Apple Script:
--Open the AppleScript editor (in Applications -> Utilities), paste the following and run it:

Modifying the size of an SMB 3.0 registered file share in SCVMM 2012 SP1

Hi -
We are leveraging the Netapp SMI-S 5.0 provider with SCVMM 2012 SP1 to register and use SMB 3.0 file shares on our HV clusters. Working great after a few early problems. One thing that we've yet to find is a solution to this problem.
On the netapp side, let's say a volume with size 1TB is created. Then through SCVMM/SMI-S, a new file share is created within this volume for use with HV clusters/VMs. Let's say, for example when creating this share through the SCVMM GUI that
you define the file share size as 500gb. This leaves 500gb free in the parent volume.
How in the world do you modify that file share size from the SCVMM perspective - if you start running low on space within the share. The free space is definitely there, but we can't seem to find a way from within SCVMM to modify the file share 'size'
(which is a parameter you have to define during file share creation) from original size to something larger (yet still smaller than parent volume size).
Anyone else seen this scenario and/or found a solution? I apologize if this is already answered elsewhere - just not seeing much on searches. Thanks in advance -

Ok so we just ran into a similar issue with our netapp. And after digging around my colleagues and I found this document ( https://communities.netapp.com/community/netapp-blogs/msenviro/blog/2014/02/19/data-ontap-smi-s-agent-51--use-netapp-smi-s-provider-to-provision-a-cifs-share-for-smb-30-environments-windows-server-2012-using-scvmm-2012-r2
) had a key passage: "SMIS create/manage shares created on qtree with quota assigned to it."
So taking that the SMI-S agent uses quotas on the volume to determine the 'file share' size you can adjust the space available to Hyper-V by adjusting the quota on the volume, even increasing it to beyond the space available in the volume. We are actually
doing this because of dedupe savings on our hyper-v store.
IMPORTANT - the SMI-S agent only scans every 5 minutes, so when you make a quota change it may take up to 5 minutes for it to be detected... so wait
6 minutes and then refresh the storage provider. We were working with SCVMM 2012 R2 but this should be reflected with SCVMM 2012 SP1 if im not mistaken.

How do I modify the size limitation on images in PSE 12?

I frequently use panorama tools in Photoshop CS6 & CC and PSE 12 to generate large images (several sunsets/sunrises reach as much as 370 MB or more --- PNG or TIF without layers). It apears that PSE 12 (and previous) have a limit less than a tenth of that. I also understand that there is a registry fix which would allow for larger images to be displayed.
A) Is that so?
B) What is the patch?
C) What are the (unintended) consequences?

The registry fix you are thinking of affects the Organizer only. The Editor has an absolute limit of 30,000 x 30,000 pixels. File size itself is not the constraining factor.

Question about modifying the size of an existing column in a table

I am a new DBA. I am being asked to modify a column in an existing table that is populated with data. Our database is a 10g database, and the table name is Contacts. The column name is FName, and it is currently VARCHAR(10). It needs to be increased to VARCHAR(18). Would I use this statement: ALTER TABLE contacts MODIFY COLUMN FName VARCHAR(18)?

Impossible to modify Image size with Directshow

Hi!
i'm using an IDS ueye USB camera with directshow.
With its own software and other Dierctshow softwares, i'm able to modify the size of the image and the frame rate of the camera.
Unfortunatelly, with MAX is impossible to change the size of the image.
I can only choose between few video mode by a ring control, such as "1024x768 RGB32 15.00fps","1024x768 RGB24 15.00fps,"1024x768 RGB8 15.00fps". No way to select a custom format.
With other directshow softwares i can change the FPS, Width and Heught parameters without any problems.
As you can see in the attached image, the value of the size are disabled.
I attach even the AMCap .ini files.
Can anyone help me?Is it a bug of Max?

This is a limitation of DirectShow. The subset of defined interfaces for controlling the camera is fixed and limited and does not include facilities for things such as changing the width and height directly, only via the list of video modes the driver exposes.
What you are seeing is that DirectShow provides facilities that a driver can provide a UI panel that can be opened to control things in their driver directly. It seems that IDS's driver has a custom panel for controlling those things you showed in your screenshot.
Now, in IMAQdx we made a conscious decision not to rely on the camera-vendor-specific UI popup. There are many reasons for this, but the main reason is that IMAQdx cannot interact programatically with those panels. One would have to call some function in IMAQdx and then a random window would have to pop up that the user would have to interact with. We would also have no way to store these settings in our camera file like all the other camera settings, since DirectShow leaves it vendor-defined how the driver is expected to store any changes you make in their UI.
As you mentioned, it makes sense for customers writing software using IMAQdx to be able to write software once and use it with any camera IMAQdx supports. Any saved settings in MAX are applied when you open the camera. If we relied upon the vendor-specific UI panels we could not give this behavior.
I would suggest you encourage IDS to provide more options in their standardized supported video modes DirectShow interface if you are not finding a mode that matches what you want. The other option would be to move to a camera technology that is more flexible with regards to configuring the camera in a generic way, such as firewire or GiGE Vision.

I am in the print mode but the dimensions I select in the size template do not show up on either the cell size or the photo, i.e. select 4x6 template lR gives me 3.5x4 8x10 gives me 5.19x3,50 I have to use 8x10 template in order to get 3.5x5.194

The sizes on the print template do not relate to the size I get in the cell size or on the photo. Template 8x10 gives me 3.5 x5.194 which is on the cell size can't make it any larger. 4X6 template gives me 3.5x4 which is the same as the cell size. My printer is a new epson 3000 which is set to print 4x6 but LR does not give the 4x6 dimension to the printer just the aforementioned sizes!!!! I have tried everything to get it to print properly to no avail. The photo system that came with the computer an iMac 27" pro 2013 with yosemite as the os.works fine with he printer! You just cannot do much other than print with it

Using multiple Google calendars through my iPhone, my work calendar treats my personal calendar like a separate account and won't let me modify the events from my phone.

I have multiple calendars on my Google account, though I mostly use my work calendar and my personal calendar. The personal calendar is the main one attached to my Gmail account. My problem is that when I create an event on my work calendar, it registers it weirdly: it says that my work calendar invited "me" (my personal calendar) to attend. This means that I'm left with limited options, either to "accept" the event, which copies it from my work calendar to my personal calendar (not what I want, since I have two separate calendars for a reason), or "decline," which makes the event visible on my computer, but invisible on my iPhone. I also can't modify any of these events from my phone - all I can do is RSVP. Since my schedule changes day to day and I need to add notes and constantly modify the events, this is a huge inconvenience and is having a negative effect on my work because it has led to my messing up appointments.
Events have also been disappearing from my phone, despite the fact that they're visible on my computer, and I think that's because they're events of that type, where my work calendar somehow invited "me" to them, but they are hidden on my phone. I have changed sharing permissions so that I am allowed to modify events in every way from every side, though it's really all on the same account, so I don't understand why this is happening.

Whenever a menu choice is grayed out, that is because you have Restrictions turned on in Settings. Be sure to turn it off.
You are confusing an itunes store account with an icloud account. You two can continue using the same ID for itunes (thus sharing purchased music, apps, etc.), but you really should have separate accounts (different IDs) for icloud, since an account is intended for one user to keep his/her devices in sync.
To create a new icloud account, go to
http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/
Then go to Settings>icloud and scroll to the bottom of the screen and tap Delete Account. (have restrictions turned off) That will disconnect the device from the account but will not delete data in icloud or other devices. Then sign in using the new ID.

Hi,Swing Gurus
I am developing a swing-based program using JBulider5 enterprise.
It seems to me that the GridBagLayout is really a hard nut!
How can I control the size of a cell in the GridBagLayout?
It seems that I cann't control the size of a cell directly.
But how the size of a particular cell is determined when I switch the layout manager from XYLayout to GridBagLayout?

hi,i have not done what you are asking but there are fields like
COLUMNWIDTH, MINSIZE, MAXGRIDSIZE, PREFEREDSIZE to which you can set the appropriate values and test for your need.hope this helped.bye martian.
