Monitoring and Restarting Message interfaces using APIs

Hello Experts,
My requirement is to monitor and restart Message interfaces from a WD Application.So i need some APIs that can be called for the same.
From RWB, we can restart and manage(view status details) of messages. Is there any way to do that from a Dynpro application.Any APIs or servlets?

It looks like you may need a mini-displayport to Displayport cable. You can also try holding the option key while clicking on "scaled" to see if the option you need comes up.

Alert monitoring and fault message types

Hello,
this is a topic about two questions:
a) is it correct that alert monitoring is only possible in XI when using an integration process (BPM) and not for simple communication scenarios like IDOC -> file ?
b) how can I use the fault message in the message interface? (OK, I implement it, and then? where can I make it visible in the monitoring?)
10 points for answering in your own words instead of providing a link to SAP standard documentation!
(standard docs in XI look like they never giving a real answer, only something like 70 %! And the rest is trial and error!)

c) When clicking on the alert inbox / configuration buttos in the RWB it looks like the addresses cannot be reached. How to fix that?

Ok, not easy now to give points. Nobody answered 100 % but in total you solved my problems and answered my questions!
The OSS Michal gave solved my problem with the RWB access to alert config. (Where does this placing of the 5xx00 come from I had to replace in different places by 80xx ? >-( )

Generate or Modify Interfaces using API?

We will be distributing pre-configuered ODI packages along with our product which maps our OLTP schema to a typical reporting target schema. Requirement is to tweak the interfaces as the customer may want a subset of target tables or only few columns from certain target tables. we would like to have this done using API rather than using designer interface... Is there a way to achieve this?

I believe that you didn't understand my point...
Yes, at development time the snp_col_pop will work but it won't work after a scenario be generated and worse, this solution only works to a Development Work Repository (DWR).
Don't you plan to have a production with a Execution Work Repository (EWR) on it? If yes, how will you manage this once there is no such table like snp_col_pop in a EWR?
From my point of view, unless I'm really missing something about the process, the problem still persists once you can't generate scenario that read the excel file and then make your interface dynamic.
And worse, you're updating the DWR in execution time... that is very dangerous.
But if works for you... good luck! :)

How to get the identity claim encoding types of windows and forms authentication providers using API?

We have to get all the claims providers associated with a web application and its identity claim encoding type using API.
For example:
If the identity claim of windows authentication is user name and the user name is a string, then we should get
"i:0#.w".
If the identity claim of forms authentication is
email and the provider name is "fba" , then we should get "i:0!.f|fba|".
The below link shows us to get all claims providers associated with a web application, but how do we get the identity claim encoding type of each provider?

If the requirement is to be able to convert claim identities to windows identities that can be used with other LOB/legacy application that still relies on NTLM/Windows Auth, then I would recommend to explore C2WTS.

Once firefox 4.o was installed, full screen video produced white screen. Had to exit and and restart video. Using a mac os 10.5. Disabling hardware acceleration did not fix. went back to firefox 3.6 and all is ok. Any help would be appreciated.

Switching back to small screen has a still video but audio still going. Had to exit and and restart video or open a blank new new tab then delete it and then small screen video would play. Your hardware was never designed to run that old a version of OS X, it's best to update the application or find another application that is more up to date. Installing Leopard simply will not work on your system.

Freezing anomalies and Error messages when using MOTU audio interface

The following problem occurs when using my MOTU 828mk2 audio interface.
The audio freezes up when playing back in Logic and any other time on the computer I'm attempting to play audio(internet, movie watching, etc.). I'm using a Mac Pro with 3gb ram. The program itself will often freeze up when attempting to play audio as well but works fine if the MOTU is turned off. The same thing goes for the internet and other programs. For instance, if I'm trying to listen to audio via the internet the page will freeze up and I most often wind up force quitting my browser.
The problem has been getting worse but now audio will not play through the MOTU but for intermittent short second stints or so before the audio in any application freezes up(rainbow spin wheel).
In Logic Express 7 this message first began to pop up:
"Error while trying to synchronize audio and MIDI".
This message is what pops up most often now:
"Logic Express has detected a possible conflict between one or more third party MIDI or audio drivers. -Be sure to install the latest drivers for all audio and MIDI equipment connected to you computer, and remove any older or unused drivers."
I have installed the recent Universal audio installer so I should be up to date with the MOTU driver but I don't know now about these, "third party drivers".
I do have my MOTU install disk so I could remove everything and reinstall..? *Do I have to remove old drivers? If so, how do I do this?*
NOTE: I had this same problem last year. For some reason I do not recall how it was resolved.

This is still a major problem for me. Any recommendations?

My mini-mac is in guest mode. I can not exit this an return to administrator mode. I have tried unplugging from internet and all devices and restarting. Also used all the F keys and the Control, Alt. Delete keys and numerous other combinations. Help

Computer will not boot up to administrator page for sign in and password. It goes to Guest page where I can browse the internet with Yahoo, but can not connect to Safari. It does not show Dock with Applications at all; therefore I can not access network settings or any applications to get out of this mode. I have disconnected every thing connected to the mini-mac and left over night before reconnecting. Same problem as before; then used all F buttons to try to recover factory settings, again nothing help ! Used various combinations of Escape, Delete, Control and Alternate keys. Held D key down while restarting computer and nothing has worked for me at this time. Any suggestions would be appreciated at this time!

I want to create a parameter with RAS API.
Here I want to create a string parameter and initialize it and set the values.
This is the code I use to create a parameter.
I use here the RAS API, because I want to create a parameter

at first i want to create a new parameter. Then set the parameter value in the parameterlist and store a standard default value.
I want if this stored report will be opened with the Crystal Reports Designer and I start with the view button, the default values should be set in the parameter text field, so that the user must not type in the parameter values.

I have a requirment that when ever I create an AP invoice with VAT . I need to create a credit memo with the vat amount aganist that invoice Line and supplier.I adopted the process to create an alert and i will write a interface for this this.I will call the interface procedure inthe alert.Here the problem is i am able to create credit memo but the amount is not applying to invoice.i.e., amount of the main invoice is not reducing. If U guys have any Idea regarding the credit memo applying to invoice using interface,please let me know.

Okay, I'll bite. I have a Dell 30" 3007WFP LCD with an Acer 22" LCD on each side. The three monitors run off a ATI Radeon HD 5770. The Dell 30" runs off the bigger DVI port and the two Acers run off mini DVI ports.
I had to buy two ACTIVE mini DVI to DVI adapters to make them work. The regular adapters won't work with three monitors.
They all play happy together.

Health Monitoring and Restart Configuration with Node Manager

We have a WL 9.2.2 instance setup using Node Manager to control it. It contains a JMS server with a persistant store that is in an oracle database. If the Oracle database becomes unavailable, the Weblogic server throws a number of errors eventually leaving the Managed Server in a "FAILED" state. I configuring/activated the following "Configuration - Health Monitoring" options for the managed server to have it automatically recover from this situation:
Health Check Interval: 180
Auto Kill If Failed: Checked
Auto Restart: Checked
Max Restarts Within Interval: 2
Restart Delay Seconds: 0
However it is not automatically restarting, even though the server shows in a "FAILED" state.
1st question: Do I need to restart the server with the settings above to have it react to the FAILED state? I would think that 3 minutes after I configured the above it would begin a restart on the FAILED server, but that does not happen
I also note on the "Configuration - OverLoad" page, there is a setting for "Failure Action:" that can be set to "Ignore, take no action" or "Force Immediate Shutdown of this server" I did configure/activate this for "Force immediate Shutdown..." but again the currently FAILED server does not restart.
2nd question: Does this "Configuration - Overload- Failure Action" setting override or effect in any way the configuration of restart on the "Configuration - Health Monitoring" page?
3rd question: Same as 1st question but for these Overload settings: Do they require a full restart of the managed server to somehow take effect?

Error: Message interface is not used by this process Netweaver PI 7.0

I am receiving this error in file to idoc scenario. The file is being picked up by communication channel. Then through an interface mapping IM_MET_ROUTE is being forwarded to a BPM MET_FILE_ROUTE. The MET_FILE_ROUTE forwards it to different BPM depending on file type. whenever I am posting a file it is not reaching IM_MET_ROUTE and giving an error as shown below.

Thanks a lot Vikrant for your suggestion. The error is resolved. This was not a configuration problem. This was a design problem. Initially I also looked for configuration changes but that was correct hence I came to conclusion that this might be a design isuue.
These are the steps that we should follow to resolve the errors
1. First Check your configuration again and again with test tool and payload to find where exactly your configuration is failing.
2. The above step will not be successful since we are already receiving the error.
3. The above test will fail in interface determination step.
4. Please go through the interface determination in Integration repository(PI 7.0).
5. Check whether all interface mapping,source and target message interface are proper or not.
6. if receiver or sender of message is an BPM please look into their receiver and sender element message type.This must match with the one specified in Interface mapping defined within Integration directory( in the interface deterination step).
In my case the sixth step above was the solution.

Where do I find 'MQ Cluster Monitor' and 'Message Queue Universal Client' ?

This video on mq.dev.java.net uses two utilities called the 'MQ Cluster Monitor' and the 'Message Queue Universal Client'. The narrator says that these are 'shipped with the Message Queue product'.
I dont see the utilities in my Open MQ installation. What am I missing ?
