Monitoring DATAKOM DKM 409 Data RS485 modbus output
Hi everyone
My project is controlling a furnace and im using DATAKOM DKM 409 that have modbus rs485 output. in this project i want to monitor the data by using labview. due to do this i use a RS 485 to RS 232 converter but when i connect them to each other and to my pc there is no recognizing machine and when i want to use visa in LV it cant recohnie any connected device to it and give me below error:
LabVIEW: (Hex 0xBFFF009E) VISA or a code library required by VISA could not be located or loaded. This is usually due to a required driver not being installed on the system.

According to my understanding, the Modbus library should work with RS485 RTU as well, as you can see in the next thread and in other forum posts as well. Modbus RTU via RS485
Now, as you say, you can also use the VISA VIs, however, the Modbus library is built on VISA VIs as well, and has the required code for Modbus implemented already. The error that you receive seems to indicate that the NI VISA driver in your computer is corrupted or not installed at all, I would recommend you to uninstall it and reinstall it, just be careful to install a compatible version with your LabVIEW version. Also, this error happens when NI VISA conflicts with other VISA drivers, as you can see from this document: Configuring NI-VISA as the Primary VISA, this other forum talks about this error, and fixing it through the reinstallation of VISA RunTime, as the document above suggests.

PMI Problem (End-to-End Monitor does not show data)
(End-to-End Monitor does not show data)
As I know that XML Messages Alerts T-code: SXMB_NOMI shows all alerts including errors as well I put date Range: 01-01-2008 to 01-08-2008 and filters for "Errors" system does show more then 300 errors
But problem in RWB - End-to-End Monitoring, when I click on display and date range 01-01-2008 to 01-08-2008 its give me graphical overview in right of window
and shows summary:
Errors: 0 Average
Open 904 Maximum
Successfully Completed 0 Minimum
Overall: 904
I thing End-to-End Monitor doesn't get data from PMI...
why does't show any errors, which is shows in SXMB_MONI
Please tell me how to resolve that problem

A destination pointing to the Integration Server is created on the J2EE engine to collect the data for the end-to-end monitoring. If this destination is incorrect or if there are several clients in the system of the integration server, the data may be sent to the incorrect client.
This might be a reason so you can implement the correction of the destination in a manual way as follows:
Open the J2EE visual administrator.
Select the Destination service.
Select the HTTP "pmistore" destination.
Enter the URL for the ICF service spi_gate of the Integration Server in the following form "http://<host>:<port>/sap/bc/spi_gate?sap-client=<xxx>", where 'host' denotes the host of the integration server, 'port' denotes the HTTP port, and xxx is the client of the Integration Server.

Monitor EXW ex works date of vendor
Hi gurus,
we want to monitor the ex works date of a vendor. As many of our deliveries come from overseas by ship, we have to take care that the vendor provides the goods at the right time. We cannot set the delivery date in PO to the ex works date because the goods will arrive about 6 weeks after ex works date and MRP would be wrong.
How do you handle the ex works topic in your companies?
Any ideas?

I have a 2007 iMac connected via WiFi. It has been working fine until I turned it on after a recent vacation. Network Preferences indicates that it is correctly connected to my WiFI system but the data input and output rate is virtually zero. I know that the WiFI signal is reaching the iMac since both my iPhone and iPad are working perfectly at that location. I have rebooted the router and the iMac to no avail. Sync boolean data and clock outputs
Hi ppl.
I was hopping someone could help me with a sync problem:
a) I want to output a counter (pulse train) using the USB-6289 board internal counter (clock);
b) I want to output a boolean array (data);
c) The outputs should be in sync, and the 16-bit word should output in full;
I have got the a) and b) parts working, I believe, however the c) part, when I run the vi in continuous mode, the pulse train with the counter works fine, but the boolean
array just assumes the "1" value (I see this in my Logic Analyzer) and maintains this value throughout the whole time...What am I doing wrong in this part?
I have attached my vi and a printscreen of the boolean data and code.

2. Don't ever use Run Continuous. It is only there for debugging purposes. Put a while loop around your code and use a Stop button to stop the while loop. Any code that should happen only at the beginning such as creating tasks or clocks should occur before the while loop. Code that should occur on at the end such as clearing tasks should occur after the while loop.
3. Perhaps you want to use continuous samples rather than finite?
4. Look through all the DaqMX examples. There might be one that better describes how to link the timing of one task to another. I'm not an expert in DAQ, so I'm not sure if everything is set up properly. -
Unable to download data in ALV output with local file option

I am displaying ouput in ALV grid display.Its showing output fine.When i am trying to down load the data into Excel file from ALV ouput .when i am downloaded the data by using Local file option,its down loading the data but its not downloading all the fields.

Earlier it used to give dump on execution but now if you download then it will give ABAP dump.

Wrong data in XML output of dunning letters
When changing the output format for concurrent program: "Dunning Letter Print from Dunning Letter Generate" to XML the following output occurs.
Parameters setting:
Order by "Customer"
Dunning as of date "14-NOV-2007"
Letter set low "STANDARD"
Letter set high "STANDARD"
Customer low and Customer high are filled with same customer name.
Dunning method "Staged Dunning"
Single staged letter "Yes" or "No" (no difference in output!)

As you can see most of the data fields are "fieldnames" like F_send_to_address_2 while an proper address was expected.
For all dunning letters I've tested the same output occurs each time.
However when I change the parameter Preliminary to "Yes" (a list is printed) the output is good. But I want this also for a single dunning letter.
Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

What happened?
Error in the ABAP Application Program
The current ABAP program "SAPLHRXSS_PER_MAC" had to be terminated because it
has
come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.
What can you do?
Note down which actions and inputs caused the error.
To process the problem further, contact you SAP system
administrator.
Using Transaction ST22 for ABAP Dump Analysis, you can look
at and manage termination messages, and you can also
keep them for a long time.
Error analysis
An exception occurred that is explained in detail below.
The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SY_REF_IS_INITIAL', was not
caught in
procedure "HRXSS_PER_CLEANUP" "(FUNCTION)", nor was it propagated by a RAISING
clause.
Since the caller of the procedure could not have anticipated that the
exception would occur, the current program is terminated.
The reason for the exception is:
You attempted to use a 'NULL' object reference (points to 'nothing')
access a component.
An object reference must point to an object (an instance of a class)
before it can be used to access components.
Either the reference was never set or it was set to 'NULL' using the
CLEAR statement.
How to correct the error
Probably the only way to eliminate the error is to correct the program.
If the error occures in a non-modified SAP program, you may be able to
find an interim solution in an SAP Note.
If you have access to SAP Notes, carry out a search with the following
keywords:

What happened?
Error in the ABAP Application Program
The current ABAP program "SAPLSTRD" had to be terminated because it has
come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.
What can you do?
Note down which actions and inputs caused the error.
To process the problem further, contact you SAP system
administrator.
Using Transaction ST22 for ABAP Dump Analysis, you can look
at and manage termination messages, and you can also
keep them for a long time.
Error analysis
During background processing, the system attempted to send a
screen to a user.
Current screen: "SAPLSTRD " 0351.
How to correct the error
If the error occurred in your own ABAP program or in an SAP
program you modified, try to remove the error.
If the error occures in a non-modified SAP program, you may be able to
find an interim solution in an SAP Note.
If you have access to SAP Notes, carry out a search with the following
keywords:
"DYNPRO_SEND_IN_BACKGROUND" " "
"SAPLSTRD" or " "
"SYSTEM-EXIT"
If you cannot solve the problem yourself and want to send an error
notification to SAP, include the following information:
1. The description of the current problem (short dump)
To save the description, choose "System->List->Save->Local File
(Unconverted)".
2. Corresponding system log
Display the system log by calling transaction SM21.
Restrict the time interval to 10 minutes before and five minutes
after the short dump. Then choose "System->List->Save->Local File
(Unconverted)".
3. If the problem occurs in a problem of your own or a modified SAP
program: The source code of the program
In the editor, choose "Utilities->More
Utilities->Upload/Download->Download".
4. Details about the conditions under which the error occurred or which
actions and input led to the error.

IN iMG settings OPK8 you need to set the Script forms,program name, list contorls,and printer specifications. against the lists
to get your required data you need to edit the program assigend to the Goosde issue slip.

This looks fine to me. Why am I getting the error?
This is SQL Server 2008 and I am working at this point only in BIDS, so it is not a question of dev vs prod server or anything. One environment, running in BIDS. Other similar data flows seems to be working ok. It seems the error is referring to a datatype

There are two versions of all tables, one with 15 minute rollups and one with daily rollups. Otherwise the tables are the same--same exact fields. I use a loop with a data flow inside to get data from one version of the rollup and then the other.
The problem is, for some of the fields with larger values the datatype is NUMERIC instead of INTEGER. (This is Cache database). SO:
dailyCookies: Field: CountOne Datatype: NUMERIC
15minCookies: Field: CountOne Datatype: INTEGER
A variable dynamically creates the query so it appends "daily" or "15min" to the beginning of the tables. So on the first loop it does the 15min tables and on the second the daily tables. When I created this particular table I have to plug a default query
in so I used the daily. It picked up the datatype as NUMERIC so when I run the package it loops through 15min first and sees the datatype is INTEGER.
How to deal with this? I suppose I could convert the datatype in the source query, but that would be a hassle to do that for some fields and not others. This tables has hundreds of fields, BTW. Can one source object deal with a change of datatypes? SSIS
is so picky on datatypes compared to other tools....

How to Convert internal table data into text output and send mail in ABAP

Good Morning.
Taking a glance at a code that converts internal table data to an Excel file in ABAP. also checked how to send this excel to mailing list as attachment.
But thought of doing it without excel.
I mean, I have an internal table which contains fields of all types (character,integer,date,time). Since it is only around 4 to 5 rows in it (output),why to convert it to excel. not required!!. Instead I want to send this output to User's mails as Normal mail body with No attachments.
Could anybody please suggest me a way as to how to send internal table data as a mail ( not as an excel or PDF etc).
as of now my findings are, it is quite complex to convert internal table data to email (Text) format. but i believe if there is some way of doing it.
