More mac PHP issues

I'm trying to install Magickwand, a PHP API for ImageMagick, and the installation instructions work up until:
4) Go back to the main PHP source directory (from the example above, it
would be "PHPSRCDIR", and run:
rm ./configure
and then
./buildconf --force
to remove and rebuild the PHP configure script.
5) Follow the PHP installation instructions, but add
--with-magickwand=IMGMGCKDIR
to your ./configure command, replacing "IMGMGCKDIR" with the full path
of the directory where ImageMagick is installed (in most cases "/usr").
...except ./configure isn't generated (or is named differently) for me and i don't know where the php configure script is or what "installation instructions" i need to follow. Any suggestions are much appreciated.

I guess, that Apple provides the PHP without the source files. And this is the reason, why we cannot find a configure-file for the pre-installed PHP.
-- But I think it is strange that they provide the /usr/include/php - directory, but no other php-source is available, but maybe anybody else knows more about the default installation.
So I think your only option is to get a new src-based installation:
Get a second setup (src-setup) using DarwinPort/fink for Apache/PHP
If you don't need to use the PHP-API (you can also call the ImageMagick programs via exec() from PHP) you can maybe use the binaries from http://www.magickwand.org/script/binary-releases.php
Maybe this works for you.

Mac compatibility issue

I have a web site on MobileMe that I created with iWeb. There is music that automatically starts on each page. I tested using Safari and Firefox on a Mac and IE on a Windoze machine. In all cases, the site works exactly as it should.
Open it with Safari on iPad and the music not only does not start automatically, it can't even be manually started. (The control panel is visible.)
Is there anything that I can do to correct this?

Oh yes. And in true iPad fashion, I had trouble getting it to stop playing. It keep going even when I switched to Mail. That might be more of an issue than the autoplay. What if you get the autoplay working, but then the users can't stop it? The expectation is that you can just close the page to stop the music, but that isn't true on the iPad. You have to physically stop it - important plot point.
The site existed for quite some time merely for personal enjoyment. It's only recently that I had decided to try to make a few bucks and, until you mentioned it, I hadn't even thought about copyright. I might end up scrapping the music entirely as I don't expect to earn much more than "beer money" from this venture.
I wouldn't let that deter you. You can always ask. If they say no I bet you could find someone with original music you could use - the music department of a local college, for example.

MAC Flapping Issue

Dear Folks,
I am working with a IT organization as network administrator, at client site we are getting the MAC FLAPPING issue since 1 month, due to that some time it completely down my whole network. Scenario is like that, we are using Ruckus AP and Zone director as a WLAN controller which is directly conecteted with our core switch. As mentioned in msg 12 & 13 VLAN is our WLAN.
After getting this msg automatically all network goes down, I need to shut down the associated port winch is directly or indirectly connected with AP, and after some time it will work properly.
Now I need some mechanism which can be block the duplicate source mac address to preventing from this kind of scenario.

1. Are those MAC addresses actual Wireless Hosts? i.e have you traced them?
= Yes, those are actual wireless MAC add, I have check in zone director controller.
2. Are the SSID's set to tunnel?
=No
3. Do you have one ZoneDirector or two?
=Two, both of them are connected with core switch.
I have been confirmed about that if wireless users are roaming between two AP or more it will appear the same error msg, now what would be the solution. ????

Combining two or more Macs to share resources

Hi,
I was wondering if there is a way to join two or more Macs together and make them share their resources, like CPU, RAM or GPU (but I focus mainly on CPU). Is it possible?
I have already searched for information on the Internet but what I could find was information from 2+ years ago which featured older version of OS X, so I think I better start a new thread.

have a problem using a model for both UPDATE and SELECT queries because of a
computed column...correct?
If so, this issue is solved in JATO 1.2. 1.2 has an attribute in the field
descriptor to indicate in which type of queries a field should be used. You
can use this attribute to indicate that a field should only be used for
UPDATE queries, SELECT queries, or whatever combination of query types you
require. You can then define synthetic fields for use only during one of
the query types.
Does this sound useful in fixing your issue? A way around this in JATO 1.1
would be to create separate models for SELECT and UPDATE queries. The
SELECT model could contain all the fields for the joined query, but the
UPDATE model would contain info for only one table. The 1.2 feature simple
allows you to do the same using one model.

Sorry for the delay with the answer, I've tried to obtain JATO 1.2
and repeat the project migration to verify whether version 1.2 solves
my problem or not (actually, it is a pilot sub-project).
Unfortunately, I still have no 1.2 version.
Let me try to answer on your question without getting the results
with JATO 1.2. Your explanation sounds like version 1.2 is very close
to solve the problem. Actually, our situation is easier because we
have SELECT object only, not SELECT and UPDATE. For data integrity
the only 'Select' ND's do(s) have been used through the whole
project. The backend communication (update, delete) is provided via
EJB like (entity) Java classes.
My question is: could I define synthetic field with 1.1.1 version. By
the way, word synthetic reflects the possibility to construct the
field under certain SQL circumstances (SELECT, UPDATE, e.g.) or the
possibility to construct a `fake' field (for example,
CountColumn of a do) as well. If the later is true, could you please
give a brief idea how to create this synthetic field.
After the translation in the doPriorityCountModelImpl class we've
got:

table may bring problem for manual adjustment (see my original

Weird PHP issue with Server 4.0.3

OS X Server 4.0.3
default PHP installation 5.5.14
Ok, so I successfully added a couple of Virtual Host websites, strictly using the OS X Server.app, and I can browse on my local network using the private url I gave them.
The problem is, on one of my websites, the PHP that renders the menu isn't working properly. I'm not smart enough to understand exactly why or what's going wrong. It does this whether I host the files in the standard document root, or my own virtual host folder.
Here's how it looks when hosted by OS X Server's Apache (i.e. - wrong)
And for comparison, here's how it looks using MAMP (i.e. - perfect)
The index.php of the site is literally just this and nothing more…

I have a info.php file that confirms php is on, and the checkbox 'Enable PHP Web Applications' is checked in Server.app.
Now, I now I could use MAMP, but I'd rather not. I just want a simple, clean OS X solution. I've paid for Server.app and I want to use it. I'm only hosting these sites for dev purposes on my local network. Also I have no use for MySQL, etc. MAMP is overkill for my needs.
Any idea what I did wrong? Or what I need to change? I'm thinking maybe apple's version of PHP may have slightly different settings.

I have a MacBookPro and my wife has an iMac. I assume both are equally vulnearble.

Mac System Issue pop up window has disabled Safari. Please help?

I clicked on a video on FaceBook & ended up with a pop up that says I have a serious Mac system issue & I need to call this phone number immediately.
I can't do anything at all with Safari now. Has anyone had this issue? Know how to get rid of it? I

Force quit Safari and relaunch it with the Shift key held down. If that doesn’t work, disconnect the computer from the Internet and try again.

I can confirm that My MAC address issue was caused by the bios that you sited in your comments....all F's were written to My nvidia lan too...

I had the same problem yesterday and after many hours searching the web I ended up with this post that made me really desperate... But I didn't give up and while trying a new bios flash because of random crashes when in the bios, I noticed the obvious: you can change the MAC address when flashing
use the last version of the dos flasher with the parameters /nvmac:xxxxxxxxxxxx/wb after the name of the bios file; it's explained if you ask the help with the /help parameter. You can find the mac address on a stick on the parallel port.

I am having the same problem but cannot get anything but the actual phone to work. I have a unlocked 3GS running 6.0 (what was I thinking?). No data whatsoever, no texting, no visual voicemail. I simply cannot access the APN settings. I have tried sim swap, I have tried APN changers. I have been on the phone with ST tech support for hours and hours. I have tried to get the answers from a "genius". I am stuck and looking at Android devices, but would really like to keep using the iphone with Straight Talk.

Showing more than 10 Issues in Test Manager tree view

I know the table shows them all, but is there a way to show more than 10 Issues in OTM Tree View? Seems cumbersome to keep having to click >>Next and <<Previous for each set of 10.

Penryn Macs having issues?

Okay,
I have finally decided to move to Mac OS and buy a MacBook Pro.
* iWork '08 preinstalled
* Accessory Kit
* MacBook Pro 15-inch Widescreen Display
* 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
* 200GB Serial ATA Drive @ 7200 rpm
* Backlit Keyboard/Mac OS - U.S. English
* SuperDrive 8x (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW)
* 2GB 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM - 2x1GB
* Apple Remote
* NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT with 256MB
I am extremely exited. But before i order, i was wondering if I should expect allot of problems? About 2 years ago, my friend bought a macbook and had to have it replaced 5 times. How have the Penryn macs been?
This will l be my first Mac ever so I am hoping to have a good transition to the mac world:)

Let me be the first to say, welcome to the light side!
Regarding the Penryn Macs: No, there are not so many issues that you should hold off buying one. If you browse the forums here you'll find lots of people running into problems. But remember that all the millions of people that DON'T have problems don't come here to tell you everything's working fine. For the vast majority of people, Macs work seamlessly, day in and day out.
Of course, like all technology products, sometimes Macs have issues. They are made out of the same silicon and chips as other computers and, like those other computers, components can fail or go bad. That's just life. The good news is: it's rare.
Likewise, Leopard is running extremely well for the vast majority of people. To be sure, there are a few small issues affecting small groups of people. Some folks are having wireless troubles, others are seeing some typing issues after a keyboard firmware update, for some folks iTunes is locking up while browsing cover flow. But, again, these issues don't appear to be too widespread and I would certainly not hold off buying a Mac because of them. You can bet that Apple engineers are all over the issues and they'll be resolved soon.
To sum up: the state of the Mac world is fantastic. Like everything else in life, it's not perfect. But it's as close as you'll get with a computer! My advice is to pull the trigger and enjoy the switch! And I'll put my money where my mouth is as well: my $3,000 Penryn MacBook Pro arrives tomorrow morning.
