Motion 4 is not working. Not sure if its the imac which is the biggest and newest one or if its motion which is also the newest one. Motion keeps freezing and changes take forever, mouse icon keeps thinking and nothing happens

Do you imagine there is one set of circumstances or a single setting that leads to performance issues in every case? Project size, duration, kind of project, content, amount of memory, render settings, disk space, media codec, etc. These are just a few of the details that we have no idea about in your case.

Mac keeps freezing after i open iMessage.

Hi,
Ive recently installed the latest up date for OS X Yosemite. Since i have updated it, every time i go to open iMessage it takes forever to open and then it freezes my mac. It has also slowed my mac down a lot. My mac is only a couple months old.
I was just wondering if anyone knew how to fix this and also if anyone has had the same problem.

Remove "Kaspersky Security," if it's installed, by following the instructions on this page. If you have a different version of the product, the procedure may be different. The product includes a Safari extension that may not be removed by the uninstaller.

I have a generation 1 Verizon Droid and firefox mobile keeps freezing, anybody else have this issue?

I have a 1st generation Verizon Droid (running Android OS 2.2). Firefox for Android Beta keeps freezing and I physically have to remove the battery for it to reboot my phone. Does anybody else have this issue?

When you say you've tried the troubleshooting, you mean you've tried Firefox's Safe Mode: [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode]]?
Does it make any difference whether you navigate using a bookmark, a link, search results, etc.?
Are there any sites that load quickly (or should I say, normally)?
Did this start after an update to anything, whether Firefox, add-ons, Windows, device, drivers, etc.?

Nothing is working right, it freezes all the time and takes forever to load

The first time I switched to Firefox 4 it worked really fast but since then it takes forever to load, the pages freeze, some sites don't recognize 4. It is very irritating trying to just get on the internet. Facebook will load slower that ever and freeze constantly. Other sites partially load then freeze. Typing anything will often freeze in mid word. I hate this. What is going on?

I have a problem with Yosemite working with Safari, Chrome, and Firefox, although I use Safari more than the other two it is the worst with this problem.

Reinstalling OS X Without Erasing the Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall OS X: Select Reinstall OS X and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

Program keeps freezing when trying to change library or restore ipod.

Having problems since updating like everyone else! Was missing files, etc.
I am trying to change the library location in preferences, but the program locks up when it is opening the window. Also freezing when I try to add a folder to the library.
I tried to restore my ipod on the summary page and same problem, opening window and it freezes. I have now reformatted my ipod and am trying to start fresh. Even reinstalled software, but no luck.

Also noticed Apple has suspended downloads of itunes 6 for the time being ... wondering if its a related bug.

My IMovie keeps freezing everytime i open it?

Everytime I click to open my iMovie, the application opens, and then after a couple second it freezes, and it says 'application not responding' when I right click on the icon to force quit it....
What is wrong? how can i fix this?

My macbook keeps freezing when I open it!!

I bought my Macbook pro this June for school. Unfortunately when I open it is begins to freeze or takes awhile to wake up from sleep. Also wheni open it sometimes the screen looks distorted. WHAT is going on? Please help me!!

What browser are you using? If it's Safari, uninstall Flash Player and then reinstall it. Also, go to the Safari dropdown menu and choose the option to reset Safari.

Finder window freezes, nothing else wrong

For a few days now, every time I use a Finder window's spotlight search field, it starts collecting files right away but I can't scroll down and I can't close the window. Oddly enough I can still run any program on my Mac Pro and everything is just as fast. I can even fiddle with other finder eindows as long as I don't use the search field. The only thing I remember updating recently was the last security update (and I'm running 10.6.8). Nothing is disturbed really, I just relaunch the finer but I still use that search constantly and I'm much slower without it. Plus I really want to know what's wrong anyway. I don't like to let problems linger. Thank you in advance.

One tweek that I found most helpful in conserving system resources, significantly eliminating freezes and reducing hard drive thrashing was (literally eliminating spotlight) by the following steps:
Go to Sytem Preferences; click on Spotlight & then the privacy tab -- then the + box.
Drop down boxes will appear for you; then all you need to do is select your hard drive under "devices" (that is, whatever you have named it) and then select "choose".
Thereby, you will have deselected & disengaged spotlight and eliminated a system-draining resource.
You can most likely find anything you want on your computer without spotlight. I know that I do, w/no problems.
Anyway, do whichever you feel most comfortable with.
Oh, BTW, FreeMemory from the App Store is awesome too. It will let you know before your browser bogs down & you can reclaim several hundred MBs of RAM, STAT!

Macbook pro 13'' keeps freezing, nothing seems to fix it.

a few days ago my mac just froze while i was working. when i re-started it, went straight to gray screen with apple logo and progress wheel, and would stay like that without starting up. i read and read apple support articles on my ipad and tried many of the proposed solutions. finally rebooted from mas osx install cd, verified permissions, repaired permission, and repaired disk, which managed to get it to start up again. seemed to be fine, but it would randomly freeze up again while i was working, pinwheel appeared, wouldnt let me do anything, not even keyboard commands to force quit apps or shut down computer would work. then i'd shut it down again and re-start. in a few of these occasions it would get stuck in gray screen again, so i'd start up in safe mode by pressing shift during start up and then re-verify permissiond and re-repair disk, which would ultimately end up saying disk was fine. but then later on computer would eventually freeze again, pinwheel-style. i came to believe i had somehow managed to get a virus on my mac, despite how little content i actually download, but after paying 50 dollars for an anti-virus and managing to install it before my mac froze up again, after it ran a whole scan of my mac it said no viruses were found. i don't know what else to try, don't know what's going on, and reaaallly need my mac to study for board exam. can somebody PLEASE help??

i am facing the exact problems. it's a pain in the ***. can someone please help us?
whenever i run my macbook, it will load in Safe Mode. I verify disk .. repair disk and restarted again. no difference at all. it will load in safe mode and will never stop freezing. I can't even access small letter anymore. whatever i type . the font will be in capital letter.

So if Apple doesn't have a problem with what I suggested then neither do I

My Macbook pro keeps freezing everytime I open Spotify or Steam. Has never done this before, help?

So every time I try to open Spotify or Steam (a video game application) my computer becomes unresponsive to everything but the mouse. I can move the mouse around but nothing is clickable. It just started doing this yesterday and those are two applications I use very frequently so if someone could please help that'd be great!
