Mouse wheel changes edits

I couldn't find the answer to this in any of the help topics, but I made some edits to a PDF in X Pro, and I can't make it "stick." When I use the mouse wheel, it shows me the before and after edits. What's causing this and how can I get the edits to be the only page? This happens even when I save the document while on the new edited page.

assume you have a form with (at least) these two fields:
1. P70_EMPLOYEE_ID (standard Text field)
2. P70_MGR (select list)
All you need to do is specify
onchange="$x('P70_EMPLOYEE_ID').focus();"at HTML Form Element Attributes of item P70_MGR. Then everytime a value is selected from the select-list the focus/mouse pointer changes to P70_EMPLOYEE_ID

Annoying - mouse wheel changes values in LOV when page scrolling

When I use the mouse wheel to scroll down the page after selecting a value from a Select List LOV, focus remains in the LOV and the LOV value changes automatically. Does anyone know of a workaround how to take focus off the LOV after selection? This has been annoying me for years especially in the Application Builder (which we can't do much about I suppose). Can this be done in my apps?...and please don't suggest not using the mouse wheel to scroll down the page...

Is there a way to change my mouse wheel's funtion so it will scroll with out

I'm stuck in habit that's hard to get out of. I started editing in Vegas then moved to Premiere CS3.
I never use the mouse wheel to scroll frames. I wish it could just zoom in and out of the timeline like it did in Vegas without me having to push alt-scroll wheel.
I'm might be asking for a lot but is this possible? I just can't break my habit of using just the arrow keys when I want to scroll frame to frame. Even though the alt-scroll has 'clicked' in my brain there's that 10% hesitation. That I know would make me more comfortable.
Call me weird but is there a solution?

Place the cursor over the Source or the Program Monitor and use the scroll wheel to scroll frames.
(Your post is not that clear whether you want to scroll frames or zoom the timeline as you mention both)

Mouse Wheel Scroll - Change Brush Size

I use the "Liquify" filter a lot, and I've always wanted to be have the mouse wheel adjust brush size.
(I'm not that keen on using the left-right bracket to adjust brush size.)

I'm not sure, but with the OpenGL features enabled you can use a couple of combinatorial gestures to change brush size, and it gives you very fine control:
Hold down the Alt key and click the right mouse button down on your image. While holding it down, if you drag the mouse left, your brush will get smaller, and if you drag right it will get larger. Drag it up to make it softer, down to make it harder.

Hi Andrey,
i think it's not build in. I wrote some years ago the attched vi's, because i also miss this feature. These vi's use the "acquire input data.vi", but it only polls if a control has registered for it.

Change the amout a scroll bar moves when user uses the mouse wheel?

hi,
i have a JScrollPane, and when a user uses the "wheel" on the mouse, it seems to move up/down 1 line at a time...i would like it to scroll faster basically...so that when the "wheel", the scroll bars move up/down like 5 lines at a time....is there some way to set this value, or how can i do it?

It looks like it behaves just like if the user had clicked the up or down arrow on the scrollbar, so
I would suggest setting the unit increment on the vertical scroll bar to be 5X its current value. Of
course, this would also increase the amount that gets scrolled when the user clicks on the up
or down arrow. If you don't want that, you'd need to somehow only change the increment on a
mouse wheel event, do the scroll, then change it back. My guess is that you'll need to provide
your own look and feel class to do that.

Just upgraded to FF 5.0... NOW, pressing the mouse wheel turns the current tab into the last tab that I copied. Never did this b4? Can find no settings to change this behavior..

I have TabMixPlus and All-In-One Gestures 0.22.1 installed... have not changed any settings in them, checked to see if there was a setting to change (no), and find that the only way to keep this from happening is to restart FF 5.0. If I do NOT copy a link, then this issue does not exist. AFTER I copy a link and paste it into a new tab, Facebook, etc., then it is in memory and gets pasted with a mouse-wheel click.

PSE 7: Editing- Unable to Zoom Using Mouse Wheel

I just upgraded from PSE 5 to PSE7.
Unable to Zoom in/out on a picture using my mouse wheel (with move arrow selected).
I used to be able to do this in PSE 5... What am I doing wrong/whats missing?

Ever since i just turned on my computer today, the slide bar went from the right to the left and the mouse wheel won't scroll up or down but it works on all other browsers just not firefox...

Decrease distance scrolled per mouse wheel notch (Desktop)

As of yesterday's 1.0.1.1060.gc75ebdfd update, one scroll wheel notch scrolls much longer than it used to do. Before it scrolled the distance it was supposed to, as defined by the vertical Scrolling setting in Control Panel->Mouse. In the update, it scrolls four times that. If set to 3 lines, it should scroll 100 pixels, which it does in all other applications. In the new update, it scrolls 400 pixels [when set to 3 lines per scroll wheel notch]. This causes you to lose control almost immediately when scrolling through lists. On a 1080p display, it scrolls almost half the list height per notch (880 pixels). This means that you get a completely different view every two scroll wheel notches. Skimming through lists becomes almost impossible. As for me, this reduces the usability of Spotify quite dramatically. I have dozens of playlist, some with hundreds or thousands of songs. Now I have no good way of scrolling slow. The mouse wheel obviously doesn't work, and the scroll bar is so small in select playlists [because there are so many songs], that it required very minute and accurate movements in order to have control. Temporary fix:Use the mouse wheel button to scroll slowly. Just click it once and move the mouse a little down [or up] to initiate auto scrolling. Be aware that if you do this while the mouse hovers over a link (artist name or album name), nothing happens. In a browser, this would open a new tab with that link, but as Spotify doesn't have tabs (new idea?), nothing happens. Doing this also selects the track you hover over when initiating auto scroll (same as ctrl-clicking songs), but this doesn't matter as when you double click a song to play it, all other songs are deselected. [EDIT 15.03.15] Rewrote the entire post, as I realized my first version may have led to misunderstanding of what I wanted to carry forward. This case should be looked at as a bug. Thanks,Truls Bekk

I looked around everywhere for solutions to these things.This is my first post, but, try installing this mouse program called "KatMouse"It changes around the scrolling a little bit so you might have to make some adjustments, but, just keep it running. It works!It's also a really nice program. This should be a temporary solution until this is fixed ..If it doesn't work for you then just uninstall it and restart the computer.I'm on Windows 7 64bit desktop computer with Logitech M525 wireless mouse and Logitech SetPoint software and it completely fixed this problem for me.I won't post the link to the actual KatMouse site, just search for it with Google or whatever search thing you use. It's icon is a little cat when you install it. This was bugging the crap out of me too, as well, so I hope this works for you guys, too. EDIT: Also, after you install KatMouse, you have to leave it running for it to work (it'll just run in your taskbar). It won't slow down your computer (a very small program). It just runs in bewteen your mouse and the scrollbars (technically speaking).

Bug? Mouse wheel doesn't work on Firefox and Chrome when added an application skin

I added a customized skin to make the background of Flex to transparent. The skin is created by the "new file wizard" and only changed the "backgroundRect" 's alpha to "0".
It works with no problem in IE8.0.6001 and Opera11.6 but doesn't respond to any mouse wheel event in FireFox 11.0 and Google Chrome 17.0.963.79.
Is it a BUG?
The flash player's versions are: IE:11.1.102.55; FireFox:11.1.102.55; Chrome:11.1.102.63; Opera:11.1.102.55

I opened a new Flex project and then tried again. I finally found that it's not a problem of flash but div rendering.
It seems Firefox and Chorme don't pass mouse wheel event automatically if div layout is set to "absolute".
Although this is not a Flex issue, any idea of passing that event to flash will be appriciated. I haven't find a way to do it so far :-(
What I'm doing is editing the "index.tamplate.html" to test. I added a div to contain the div of "flashContent" and set it's style to:
    position: absolute;
    top: 150px; left: 150px;
    height: 250px; width: 250px;
    z-index: 10;
Another div's z-index is set to 1 to test the overlay effect.
The reason why I added a div to contain the original div of flash, is I cannot figure out a way to effectively edit the CSS of the "flashContent" div.
Any help will be thankful!!

[Counter Strike 1.6] Mouse wheel working poorly

I've been playing CS since 2003 and I've always jumped with MWHEELDOWN, I even still have my Logitech MX310 from 2003 and the wheel works perfectly on every other game I try (I can prove it). But since a few months ago or even less I can't use the mouse wheel anymore, there's something wrong with the game in regards to using it, be it to jump or scroll through the game command line or any wheel operation in Counter Strike.
Anybody else having this? Other people using other distros reported that the mouse wheel works fine for them. So I guess this is a Valve problem with newer software.
BTW my mouse is old and I know it. The wheel works fine on every game I have except Counter Strike. I tried different mouses but they all show the same bug in-game, so it's not a problem with the mouse. Also, Valve have been doing a lot of mistakes with updates to Counter Strike. I notified them on Github about this problem. So if anyone have the game on Steam, please test it and let's solve this problem together.

Switch between desktops using mouse wheel

Just a simple question - is there a possibility to switch desktop with use of the mouse wheel on the desktop background? I know it is possible in XFCE, but how about KDE or GNOME?
Why it is important to me - I have simplified changing desktops by setting a 5 pixel margin on the bottom and the right of the screen, so there is always desktop background visible. To switch desktop I simply move mouse to the edge of the screen and scroll - simple, fast and efficient. And funny - this is the main thing that binds me to XFCE, even though my computer is fast enough to handle KDE4 .
Some time ago I have installed GNOME, and later KDE4.1, and tried to find such feature, but I did not succeed unfortunately, even though I spend some time over the documentation and the settings panels. Currently with the introducing KDE4.2 and nvidia-180 driver, which improves 2D graphics somewhat (i.eg. gtkperf gives now 6.5 sec instead of 9.5 that it used to be before upgrade) I'm interested in switching to KDE. Can anyone help me?

Sure, with compiz you can do a lot more than this . I've installed KDE4 again, but cannot get it to switch desktops the way I wanted. Scroll over pager works on every DE, though it requires precise mouse aiming over the pager. In XFCE I don't have to aim - just move the mouse to the side of the screen (where I have margin set, so desktop is available there) and scroll.
Alt+scroll requires additional movement, which is annoying when for example I do things, that don't require keyboard use (like composing the playlist, browsing the web, changing the GTK2 themes and so on ). I like minimizing things to do to achieve the goal. Therefore I also use cairo-dock, which removed additional mouse click (for raising the menu) when opening the most used applications...
A funny and I think useful feature I found in KDE4 is action bound to scroll over the window titlebar - it moves the window and the user to the next desktop .

Gnome Volume Applet hates mouse wheel ..

Hi, I noticed that the Gnome Volume Applets when is controlled with the mouse wheel sometimes acts very weird...
to explain me a little better if i rotate the mouse wheel above its icon to increase volume there are certain values wherein it gets excluded/disabled (dunno the official translation).
does it only happens to me?

[edit] uhm I forgot to mention a thing, I've tried with gnome-applets from the extra repo (gnome 2.22) and with the latest (this evening versions) of gnome-applets (+ libweather + gnome-panel )( because there is a boring crash of clock_applet with latest version of gnome-applets... but this is another story ) from AUR.

It's some bug in alsa that freaks out on volume control with the gnome volume applet. This happened since the upgrade to kernel 2.6.25. There's an upstream bug running at kernel.org's bugzilla for this, but I guess it's something in alsa-lib.

Pressing mouse wheel (or Ctrl + Left Mouse Click) on navigation arrows does not open previous/next page in new tab anymore

I am using the new Firefox Developer Edition as a stand-alone on Ubuntu, so I can still use the "old" version, too.
Everything seems to be working fine, as in I am logged in and setup sync. But a few features I got very much used to are no longer working.
When I click on "About Firefox Developer Edition", it shows these details:

You are currently on the aurora update channel.
In my "old" Firefox, I can:
1. Click with the mouse wheel on the navigation arrows to open the previous or next page in a new tab.
2. "right mouse click" on the navigation arrows to see the list of previously visited pages of the current tab, and the ones I visited after the page I am on, if I clicked "back" once or more times. I can then click the mouse wheel or "Ctrl + Left Mouse Button" to open any of the pages in the list in a new tab.
None of this works in the Developer Edition.

To clarify, the list of previously or later visited pages does still show up when I right click on the navigation arrows in the Developer Version, but I cannot open any of the links in the list in a new tab with the mouse wheel or "Ctrl + Left Mouse Click".
