MouseExit event fires exit event also,code executes 2 times

Hi All,
I have put some code to validate account number user has just entered in exit event of account number field which is in a repeater grid in Form guide.
I notice that if I tab out it executes the code 2 times, if I use mouse to enter into the field don't change anything and then click on next field it executes again (2 times). looks like exit event is fired on mouse exit also, but I don't want that.
I am perplexed that exit event is firing 2 times and don't know the reason for it.
Please help to identify why code fires 2 times and how to avoid mouse exit firing exit event as well
I hope I am not asking crazy thing here.
Thanks
Manoj

Hi Steve,
1) Are reseting on the cell or field? Is there data binding on the cell or field? Is there a calculation on the cell or field?
  There is data binding on this field. Well this item is in a subform and exists as a repeating subform record element. So I don't
  know what to call it. I am including my form and data content so that you can see it.
2)
     How can I do that, that is set a invalid message with red color etc?
     No. That is why I stated you can either set focus or change the field colour but not both, without customizing the Form Guide.
     Okay what I meant was not show a message with Alert or hostmessage call then set focus works but also set the invalid message dynamically
      via  some property so that it show the red color message as we did when we set the validation pattern.
3) exit event - I am attaching my form and data file for you to see. I have a schema attached to the form but can't send you that. Data file is included.
4) Is there a link where we can learn more about customizing or if you have enough samples for customization. I did see the standard adobe doc about it and that helped me a lot, but was wondering if you did anything or others in your team  as prototypes through which we cam learn more.
5) The form 401db.xdp is converted to .xml so that i can attach to the email. Please rename again to xdp.
I can't thank you enough for looking into this. God bless you!
Regards
Manoj

  • ALV events for data_change  executing multiple times

    Hello Experts,
    I am using the event "data_changed" of cl_gui_alv_grid and its getting triggred multiple times based on
    no. of rows in my ALV grid output.
    For ex: if i have 5 rows and if i input a field in any cell in a new row, in data_changed event is triggered 2 times.
    The  LOOP AT er_data_changed->mt_mod_cells INTO ls_modified is executing 6 times as in above example
    even though is having only 1 entry.
    Can some one pls help me with this?
    Also i see the  toolbar event is often getting excuted multiples no of times making the application slow.
    Please suggest.
    Thanks

    Dan,
    Maybe you've placed or doing something wrong, take this report as a pattern "BCALV_EDIT_03".

  • MouseEnter/mouseExit event is triggering a screen jump ONLY when zoomed in?

    Hi all:
    First and foremost, to all the people who repeatedly post answers: you are truly rock stars in my book.  Learned so much from you all; deepest, deepest thanks.
    I can't find anything online re: this issue, and BELIEVE me I've looked, so I'm going to do a detailed post with a detailed example.   If I do a good enough post, maybe that helps someone else out down the line.
    Using LiveCycle Desiger to create a dynamic PDF.
    Conditions
         When:
         1) A field has focus; (and)
         2) The end-user ZOOMS IN on the form;(and)
         3) The end-user decides to scroll away from the field with focus (so the field with focus is no longer visible on the screen but still technically has the focus)
    The Issue:
         If the cursor happens to go over an object with mouseEnter or mouseExit code, Acrobat will jump the view back to the field with focus.
    Practical example:
         1) End user opens a PDF and zooms in a little for easier reading.
         2) End user sets focus to a field at the top of the page to answer that question.
         3) End user decides to scroll down and see what other types of questions they have to answer, leaving the focus still in the top field;
         4) If the screen scrolling passes the cursor over an object with javascript in the mouseEnter or mouseExit event, Acrobat resets the view back up to the top of the page so
              the field with focus is visible again.
              Note: Even If the screen scrolling doesn't pass the cursor over an object with script in the mouseEnter or mouseExit event, if the end-user then moves the cursor over an
                        object with code in the mouseEnter or mouseExit event, Acrobat resets the view so the field with focus is visible again.
    Additional Comments
         1) Object type doesn't seem to matter.  I tested it on additional field types in the attached and the jump seems to be triggered when code exists in the mouseEnter or mouseExit
              event and the field with focus is NOT visible on the screen.
         2) It doesn't appear to be a "top" or "bottom" of page issue.  Page 2 of the attached reverses the layout from "top-to-bottom" to "bottom-to-top" and the jump still occurs.
         3) It appears to be a Dynamic Form issue as I did a save as a Static PDF and the jump does NOT occur.
         4) Happens on both PC and Mac.
    The attached is heavily noted and contains multiple buttons demonstrating the various conditions and what does or does not trigger the jump.
    Thoughts?  I'm totally stumped.  A form level property that is trying to help???
    Thanks in advance,
    BR
    (Couldn't attach PDFs for some reason.  Here's a dropbox link.  Dropbox - Public

    I don't think there's going to be a perfect solution to this problem, other than an official Adobe fix. (That's a big hint there, Adobe.)  BUT...
    ... that being said, I think Radzmar's work-around is the best answer out there. Big thanks, R.
    IMPORTANT DESIGN CONSIDERATION FOR ANYONE USING THIS SOLUTION
    Please keep the following in mind when designing your forms:
    1) Message Box location
    CONDITIONS:
                   1) It's possible you are going to validate a field on exit;
                   2) It's possible you're going to inform the end-user of failed validation with a messageBox;
                   3) It's possible you're going to reset the focus back to the field that failed validation so the end-user is forced to correct it.
                   4) It's possible you want to keep the inputted data that failed validation so the end-user can see the entry that failed and edit it,
                        rather than retyping the whole thing.
    BE AWARE OF:
                   1) When the message box appears, the end-user will have to either hit return (to acknowledge the messageBox) or click "OK" to do the same;
                   2) If the end-user uses the mouse to click "OK", that starts the mouse moving around the page again;
                   3) End-user may attempt to place the cursor in the appropriate location within the field that failed validation to correct the error;
                   4) BUT if the cursor passes over any objects with script in the mouseEnter or mouseExit event ON THE WAY BACK TO THE FIELD WITH FOCUS it will:
                        a.) trigger the clear focus script;
                        a.) which will trigger the validation script in the exit event of the field with focus again (WHICH STILL HAS BAD DATA IN IT);
                        b.) which will trigger the messageBox re: failed validation;
                        c.) which trigger's potential mouse movement to again click  "ok"
                        d.) and you see the loop they'll end up in.  They'll have to move the mouse AROUND buttons/objects with mouseEnter or Exit code to get
                             back to the field which needs to be corrected.
    So it's the combination of:
         1) Where objects with mouseEnter and mouseExit code are placed on the page; and
         2) Automatically resetting the focus BACK to the field that failed validation; and
         3) Keeping the failed data in that field.
    Unless anyone see's a work-around, I think the only thing to do is clear that failed data out of the field.  Not optimum, as the end-user won't be able to see their failed answer
    but I'm not seeing another option???

  • Raise event by code

    Hi
    I wonder if it is possible to raise an event via code without using
    wdControllerApi.getMessageManager().raise or report.....
    Thank you
    yuval peery

    Hi Jeschael
    1. I do not have a drop down list but a search help attached to input field. This input field lies inside
        a table column.
    2. I do not have a onChange event since this event, so I understand from Albrecht, was introduced in 7.1
        whereas we still use 7.0.
    3. What I did was create a dummy label which is linked to a calculated attribute.
    4. The calculated method always returns an empty string, but on the way it also updates the
         fields I am interested in. The problem was that although I updated the context attribute I was interested in, the UI element did not update. To solve this problem I added the following line just before the method returns an empty string:
    wdControllerApi.getMessageManager().reportSucccess("bla bla bla", false);
    This did the trick.
    I hope it helps.

  • How to use Event Tracking Code for Google Analytics in Dreamweaver CS5

    I need to track clicks on links that go to an outside website. I've read about "event tracking code". I'm not sure if it's the right tool to use. And if it is, I've spent several hours reading about it and I can't figure out how to use it. It looks like you need to be an expert developer to be able to make sense of all this. I've always been helped when I ask a question here, I'm hoping that someone can help me.
    What my client needs is to know what links are being clicked, and how often. Here's the page where I want to do this: Available Homes - Arizona Vacation Home Rentals
    I added a code that I created using the tool I found here: General Event Tracking Code for Google Analytics but can't see to be able to make this work. I added this code to the first link called "View it Here" for the top, left house. Here's the code: <a href="http://www.homeaway.com/vacation-rental/p3495538" onClick="ga('send', 'event', { eventCategory: 'clicks', eventAction: 'clicks on homes', eventLabel: 'Clicked'});" target="_blank">View it HERE!</a>
    Then I set a Goal in Google Analytics like it said in the instructions but it doesn't seem to work... I would APPRECIATE ANY HELP!
    Thanks,
    Brigitte

    I think you misunderstood what Event Tracking is designed for.  This is from Google Help
    Tracking Code: Event Tracking - Google Analytics — Google Developers
    "Use this to track visitor behavior on your website that is NOT related to a web page visit, such as interaction with a Flash video movie control or any user event that does not trigger a page request."
    Clicks on links are page requests.  I think for your purposes, you may want the Cross Domain Link Tracking plugin.

  • Custom event handler not executing

    Hello.
    I'm to set an event handler to execute after a user gets added a role. I have my plugin.zip file like this:
    -lib/(myjar).jar
    -plugin.xml
    Plugin.xml looks like this:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    <oimplugins>
         <plugins pluginpoint="oracle.iam.platform.kernel.spi.EventHandler">
              <plugin pluginclass="com.uti.oim.events.SqlRoleHandler" version="1.0" name="SqlRoleHandler" />
         </plugins>
    </oimplugins>
    Placed it in the plugins directory in my dev environment.
    customhandler.xml looks like this:
    <?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?>
    <eventhandlers>
         <action-handler class="com.uti.oim.events.SqlRoleHandler" stage="postprocess" sync="TRUE" entity-type="RoleUser" operation="CREATE" name="SqlRoleHandler" order="1000"/>
    </eventhandlers>
    What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

    I ran into an issue with event hanlders in 11g. This might apply to yours. I was unable to create both a preprocess and postprocess task on the same object. It always threw an error on the postprocess class that it can't be case as a pre process event handler. So the solution was removal of all preprocess and just go with postprocess and use the EntityManager class to make the updates to not trigger another update. We had to process post-create user tasks for bulk recon, and could not process it in pre, so our only option was to move it all to post.

    I encounter some performance problem, I've made a tkprof on a select statement and I saw that more than 95% of the elapsed time is due to event PX Deq: Execute Reply.

  • Trade Management 12.1.3 -Link Settlement Method to SLA Event Type Code

    Hi
    We have trade management 12.1.3 installed that uses the SLA Accounting.
    In claims, we have several custom settlement methods and we want to define our own Event Types in SLA and use that to create accounting.
    How can the settlement method in Trade Mgt be linked to the Event Type codes in SLA

    I have find the answer for my Question...
    We can have 2 columns in ozf_funds_utilized_all_b. product_type and Product_id.
    If product_type is Family then Product_id would be the Item Category ID.
    If Product_type is Product then Product_id would be the Inventory_item_id.
    Thanks,
    Ram

    we have two lists work order list and estimation list. we developed infopath form for work order list , in that we have work order field we don't enter the value of that field after filling the all fields when i clicked save button work order ID field
    will generate automatically and estimation hyper link will generate.when i click on estimation link estimation list will open, inthat list we have work order id filed it has to generate automatically(It will fetch the data from work order list). For generating
    automatically we written event receiver code in visual studio 2010.After migration from SP2010 to SP2013 it is not working. May i know what modification we have to do

  • BKPF- CREATED event executing 3 times (we are expecting just once)

    We have created a custom event to trigger on BKPF->CREATE. We are noticing that the simple act of updating the payment block on the invoice header is causing this event to be triggered three times. We can see this in the Event Trace in transaction SWEL. There are three identical entries that execute at the same time stamp.
    Can anyone help me understand where I should be looking to figure out why this event is being tripped multiple times when it should only be happening one time?
    Kind Regards,

  • Phase event InitMethod() is calling 4 times on Back button click???

    Hi Everyone,
    My Jdev version is 11.1.2.3.0.
    I have developed one ADF application with 3 pages.
    First page has a button to move to second and third pages. In the same way second and third pages have the Back buttons to first page. Everything is working very fine.
    But the first page has phase event InitMethod which executes when the page loads. At the starting of the Initmethod i kept the some code to return back if any event takes place that is also working fine.
    But When i press Back button in second or third page then the InitMethod of First page is being called for four times.
    What can be the reason?
    How could i control this behaviour?
    Please let me know....
    Thanks...............

    Hi Jovito,
    I also think the same that it's not possible. Now my issue is how to get my requirement.
    FYI..
    To open Classification screen directly we have a function module CLFM_OBJECT_CLASSIFICATION. But if I want to open IA06
    Inspection characterstics screen we don't have any FM or API to do the same.
    So how will I get my requirement done. That why I use the BDC call transaction to open IA06 Insp. characterstics screen but here I am facing this Back issue.
    Please advice if there is any suggestion.

  • Photoshop CC 2014 Extension - CEP Event callback is triggered multiple times per single event

    Trying to make my extensions listen for bunch of events and it's turning out to be a real pain in the ***.
    I'm hoping there's someone here who has a bit more experience playing around with these.
    I used the example code from here ( Page 43 ): http://wwwimages.adobe.com/content/dam/Adobe/en/devnet/creativesuite/pdfs/CC14_Extension_S DK.pdf
    I've modified the code just a little. I removed some unnecessary things from it. I also added a counter, to try to visualize the issue.
    Every time I pasted the code here, the global variable seemed to duplicate. So, eeeeh...  the example code can be found here.
    The problem is:
    I close one document to trigger the event, but for some reason the callback seems to run multiple times.
    Even better, it doesn't seem to be super consistent about it. Sometimes it repeats only couple of times and sometimes it repeats 160 times.
    It seems like every time the extension panel is reopened, it comes up with a new number.
    Currently, if I close a document, it seems to trigger the callback 15 times
    Since this is screenshot, you'll have to take my word for it. I only closed a single document and the code ran 15 times.
    Am I doing something wrong by any chance?
    edit:
    I believe I just found out the reason and a way to recreate the issue.
    I've occasionally tested the extension by closing and opening the panel, which seems to have caused the issue.
    It looks like every time I close and then open the panel, it... adds one more run time to the stack.
    - Refreshing the panel from chrome doesn't seem to affect it.
    When I restart photoshop, it resets. So after the very first opening of the panel, the event triggers the callback only once.
    I forgot to mention that the host application events work just fine without these issues.
    In fact, I tried to use documentAfterActivate before, but as far as I could find, there is no way to kind of filter out specific events within host application events.
    For instance, I can't specify something different to happen when a new document is opened.
    As very much a side note:
    documentAfterActivate has its own side effect due to the way photoshop works.
    It is triggered when you:
    Create a new document
    Open a new document
    Switch to an open document
    It's the "Switch to an open document" part that makes this event listener also trigger when you close a document.
    Because when you close a document, photoshop switches back to the previous document and that in turn triggers the event listener when it shouldn't, I suppose.
    Of course it doesn't trigger the event when you close the last document as there is no document to switch to at that point.
    ...but this is beyond the scope of the original question.

    I was so tired last night that when I found out the cause of it, I never even thought about unregistering...
    I decided to unregister it when the panel is opened instead.
    This does indeed get rid of the issue.
    Thanks, cbuliarca.
