MouseListener event and ComboBox actionlistener event problem

Hi Guys,
I use combo box to get diffrent tables from microsoft access database.
The table will allow user to click on the cell and the data in the cell will be puting into a text field.
My problem now is when i refresh the table to get another table, the new table will coming out, but the getSelectedRow()is pointed at the wrong direction. Instead of the row that i want, the getSelectedRow() give me the value of -1. I debug for many days already and still don'y know how to fix it......
please help me guys.

i think you will need to post some code to get an answer to this problem.
Maybe this is a problem with references - creating a new table is bound to cause problems?

  • Differences between Robot class generated events and real input events

    Hello everyone!
I'm having a problem with the translation of the description of the awt.Robot class.
    - "This class is used to generate native system input events" -
Does this mean there is no difference between real input events and generated events from the Robot class? Difference in reference to that the generated events can't be recognized as generated events by the os or programs.
    Thanks in advance.
    Chris B.

The Robot class will use an interface provided by the operating system to inject events. Those are very close to 'real' input events, but not quite there. There are, for instance, several games out there which have a protection mechanism against Robot's events to prevent scripting/botting. However, any application that is not paying special attention to the event's source will assume that the input events generated by Robot are actually coming from the user, so you can 'control' any application with the exception of the beforementioned games.

  • How to delete all the events and create new events from scratch?

I have all my photos separated into albums and I would like these albums to be considered events in iPhoto. The problem is that there are already lots of events in my iPhoto library that are not "real" events. It just so happens they were uploaded at a certain time and during one of my upgrades of iPhoto all these different uploads became different events. Of course, there are some albums I would like to become a single event as well...but I am not sure how to strip all of my photos of events and then add the photos to new events?

Select all the pics in an Album and Flag them.
Then go Events Menu -> Create Event from Flagged Photos
A new Event is created that moves the pics from their existing Event
Unflag the Photos then move to the next album. Repeat.

  • What's the difference between splitting events and creating an event?

With photos selected in an event, "splitting" the event and "creating a new event" appear to do the same thing. Is there any difference? In either case, a new event is created with the selected photos taken out of the original event.
    doug

    Doug:
Auto split will split up the event into events based on the date requirement that's been set for events, i.e. 1 day per ever, 1 week ,etc. It's automatic. Whereas creating a new event you determine which photos go into that event.
    Do you Twango?
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • How to tell apart ready:form-event and ready:layout-event

    Hi,
I would like to call the same function in a script object from different events.
As I cannot make layout changes in the ready:layout event I would like to find out in the function: Which event called me?
event.name gives me the event name nicely for most events. (Although the returned strings are somewhat peculiar....)
But: The ready:layout-event as well as the ready:form-event both give me "Open".
Therefore I would like to know:
How can a function tell whether it was called from ready:layout or from ready:form?
I suppose there is a much simpler solution, than trying "event.name".
    Ulrich

    Hi Ulrich,
Check out event.activity in LC Designer help. This gives a closer description of the event fired, eg 'docReady' instead of 'open'.
    Good luck,

  • ICal 3.x .ics import - problem with recurring events and non-unique UIDs

Upgraded to Leopard over the holiday break. Under Tiger's iCal (v2.x), .ics files exported from other calendar programs (Outlook via iAppoint/O2M in this case) and imported into iCal behaved 'normally'. However, in iCal 3.x in Leopard, for recurring appointments in the exported calendar, only the last appointment in the series shows up in iCal (although some meetings show up for about 0.25 seconds during the calendar import, then immediately disappear! This post by MalcolmS provided the critical clue - it seems that for recurring events, the .ics file has all of the events in the series with the same UID. Previous versions of iCal didn't care, but v3 apparently does - and deletes all earlier versions of the event, leaving only the last one with that UID. I confirmed that is the case by opening the .ics file in Word, which clearly showed all of the recurring events, and all the events in a series (e.g. a weekly meeting for the year) had the same UID. After the import to iCal, only the last one is in the calendar (in the above example, the one meeting of the series occurring in the last week of December). Manually editing the UIDs of a recurring series in the .ics file (to make them actually unique) allows them to all show up in iCal after import.
Since many of the events in my Outlook calendar are accepted invites for recurring appointments, re-creating them as individual calendar events in Outlook is not a viable option. The frequency of changes to my calendar means I usually export it once per day (or twice); thus, manually editing the .ics files is also not a viable option.
Any suggestions on workarounds for this problem? Alternatively, any other suggestions for getting the calendar data from Outlook into iCal?
    Thanks in advance!

  • Detect "touch start" and "touch end" event in windows phone default browser.

    Hi,
We have a BIG problem, because in all browsers we can detect the "touch start" event and "touch end" event. For iOS, firefox, internet Explorer, safari, Android work well. But in the windows phone default browser the "touch end"
    doesn't work.
Do you know what we can do ?
    Thanks.

    Hi gogogate,
    >>But in the windows phone default browser the "touch end" doesn't work
There is no simply way to achieve this, in my experience, I would recommend that you can handle touch event using JavaScript and retrieve information you need form the webpage using the window.external.notify(string) function:

  • IPhoto has created a mega event and removed others

    Hi.
iPhoto appears to have taken a whole year of my photos and gathered them into one event of the past 12 months - thus removing all my carefully named events over the past year.
Anyone else seen this or have an idea if I can go back to where I was with all my old named events, or will I have to split a whole year's worth of events all over again?
    Thanks,
    Simon

have an idea if I can go back to where I was with all my old named events,
Restore a backup copy of the iPhoto library made just before this problem occurred. Like from Time Machine.
If you have no backup the best you can do is set the time interval for each Event, i.e one event per day or week, in iPhoto's General preference pane.
Now click on the one event and select the Events ➙ Autosplit Events menu option.
That will create an event based on the interval you set in the general prteference pane.

  • Re: Service Object events and LockMgr

On the option that you have considered, I have implemented the same model
in my previous project (using Java/RMI), but I felt that it is more than
what is normally needed for concurrency protection.
I can suggest another option that is worth considering which is in place in
    our app for concurrency.
Almost every table in our db has created By, created On, modifed By,
modified On columns. The parent class of all business objects has
attributes that correspond to these four columns. In addition to these
four, there is a fifth attribute (introduced when concurrency was built)
called originalModifiedOn. Upon retrieval from the db, it is set to
modifiedOn value (from the db), during UPDATE, the value in this column is
added part of the WHERE clause. So when the second user tried to do save
the same object, the underlying db update will get a 'zero rows updated'
which is translated into an application error 'possible concurrency
error'. The user re-retreives the now 'stale' object before applying their
    edits.
A lot of these things are and can be built into the framework imposing very
little work that each Object needs to do to have concurrency protection.
I am not sure if there is a mention in the Patterns paper of this model,
but it is very easy to implement and supports what is needed.

    Hi folks,
We're currently looking at strategies for dealing with the simultaneous
updates to the database from multiple clients (concurrency
management). That is when two (or more) clients load the same object to
edit it, then make different changes and save them to the database.
We have a copy of a Forté document (from the "Patterns" course, I
think) which describes three methods of dealing with this:
    1) Lock the database table row as soon as a client select it for editing
and hold the lock until it is saved.
    2) Immediately before 'saving' check that the database hasn't changed
(either by reading what's there before updating, or by using a huge
'where' clause that contains all unchanged fields)
    3) The Forté "LockMgr" pattern, which uses a service object with notifier
proxies to allow locking and updating notification between the clients.
Option 3 is obviously the most robust method, but it requires a fair
amount of coding and could also be a bottleneck for database reads and
    writes.
But I have another option for which I was looking for opinions. What if
we had a "Change Event manager" which broadcast an event every time
a change is made to the database. Each business class would have its
own event. If the event had the object's primary key as a parameter, then
clients editing that particular object type could check to see if the object
currently on screen is the one that changed. That way you could disable
the 'save' until they had refreshed their on-screen data.
It's not particularily elegant, but it's reasonably simple to implement. It
also deals with changes sent across our WAN from other database
    servers.
But this option is only worthwhile if you can replicate the "Change Event
manager" SO and still register for an event on the client. Can clients
register for SO events and receive an event generated by any of the SO's
replicates? Or when you register for an SO's event do you register for
only one instance of the SO?
Thanks in advance for any answers.

    Hi,
Just wonder exactly how this Lock Manager can be implemented. Do you mean that you are
going to cache every object that is instantiated from the database? Or you just cache
the object id, primary key, etc?
Frankly speaking, I won't attempt to due with this kind of currency coding myself as
the database vendor has spent years in coding just to do this.
    Regards.

I would recommend you to use the following approach (of course if you
do not have some special requirements :) ):
    1. You should have a LockManager that will synchronize all clients in
their attempt to modify/delete objects in your application.
    2. Each client, when attempts to modify/delete some object, it must
LOCK it using the services provided with the LockManager.
    3. The requested operation can be performed only after successful
    locking.
    4. If a lock can not be obtained (for example if the object is already
locked by some other client) then the operation is aborted.
The details of this pattern depends on your needs. :)
    Hope this helps.

  • Event and Process Types - Urgent

    Hi All,
I am little confused between Events and Process Types in a PC. How an event can be used in a PC ?
I know that SM62- To create event, SM64 – Execute Event. But how its used in PC.
Thanks in adv for your reply.

Events can be used to start the process chain based on the event raise. In order to use the events
    1. Create an event using SM62
    2. Go to your process chain start variant and select the start type as After event and give the event name which you created and then activate and schedule the process chain
3.Now go back to sm64 and trigger the event that should actually start the Process chain. This can be monitored using the Process chain log.

As per my understanding of both these terms they indicate the same thing. But then if it is so then why have different names?
I searched around but the only relevant discussion that I found was as under, which didn't really cleared the doubt.

In the article that you have mentioned - Jonathan Lewis gives you a very clear explanation. CPU Time is updated at the end of a query. DB CPU is updated every few seconds.
So the CPU Time may be less than DB CPU if there is a long running query that did not complete during the snapshot that you are reporting for. Conversly CPU Time may be larger than DB CPU if there is a long running query that spanned multiple snapshots but completed in the snapshot that you are reporting for.
