Movie not displaying in spry gallery
Hi,
I have a project which needs to displays movies instead of pictures gallery, I am using your code example.
Do I need to add any other code or change code before this will display properly, its and intranet so I can't show just add the code as below?
When i view the page the url only shows up, no image!
Can anyone help me please.

Flash movie not displayed correctly in IE 8 on some Windows OS
Has anyone seen this problem?
I'm using CS4 to export a basic flash movie with embed tags pre scripted...
And the issue is that on some OS systems using Vista or Windows 7 and IE 8 as a primary browser, it appears that IE 8 is not displaying the flash banner completely.... its CROPPING it off... This is very strange because the banner works fine in FireFox, IE7,Opera,Chrome but not I.E.8 on some OS systems...
If you google "Flash not displaying correctly in IE 8" you'll get alot of people with the same issues but no real definate fix...
Are there any suggestions as to what i could try?
Do i need different flash embed tags? Or is this a user issue?
Please Advise as soon as possible...
ThanksI'm sorry, i forgot to explain that I didn't upload the flash published html because it did and produced the exact same results.
The flash published still got cropped off on 1 vista os(I.E 8) running from a laptop and 1 windows 7(I.E. 8) latop os...
Its good to hear that you're able to see it clearly... however in my QA efforts, i've been asked to fix the issue or drop the flash banner all together.
I've tried every which way, i've even converted the embed tags (not uploaded by the way) to a js script and it STILL gets cropped of on 2 ie8 run OS systems...
And now i'm not sure what else to try on my end.
I'm currious if because this is an XML driven flash banner, this may be an issue? But it still doesn't explain why some people can see this in IE 8 as you can and others get a cropped banner like in my screen shot sample.
Again i invite everyone in the forum to take a look at the sample links, as i'd be curious to see who else is seeing this.
By the way "kglad" Thank you so much... please keep the suggestions coming... but everything you've suggested, i've tried.
This is very perplexing. Is this a setting issue? or is there some setting on the user side i'm not aware of? Either way, as usual... the flash developer is blamed so i must find a solution.

IE7 & Flash Movie not displaying FF works fine
Hi,
I have an issue with IE7 and my Flash video movies. When I
use IE7 (7.0.5730.13) the 6 videos (flash movies) on the page do
not display all 6 BUT in FF they all display and my navigation menu
works fine. The video boxes/placeholders change when I refresh the
page in IE7, but again, not all 6 show like in FF and the menus
won't work properly.
Any help! Please use common/dummy talk so I can fix it. The

Flash movie not displayed after swfload
Hi All,
I have a simple web page that will display photos using a
third party flash movie/swf file. The problem is when the page is
displayed the third party swf file does not display. Im using the

Quicktime movie not displaying properly
Hi,
Can anyone help?, I have inserted an mpg into a page using
the "plugin" symbol (is this correct?), and although it displays
correctly when i preview in browser, after i upload it to my server
and click on the link, it goes to the page, hangs there for a
while, and then displays a black vertical strip with numbers and
symbols in it?.
Is this likley to be a server prob or do i need to do
something with the file itself?

Alexyeah, this kinda *****... since there's no MMS, not being able to play QUICKTIME movies sent to my email on iphone is a real pain in the ***, plus it just does not make much sense.

Masked QuickTime movies not displaying correctly...
Hi there,
I'm still a relative novice with Keynote, but am quickly learning that this is a seriously great application! I haven't encountered any real problems so far, except the one I'm about to describe - and I'd really appreciate any help you could give me with it!
Basically, I've made a masked QuickTime movie in the shape of a circle (as described here: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=QuickTime+Player/7.0/en/c3qt18.html) and then placed this onto one of my slides in Keynote. In the slide design view everything looks fine; the the movie is visible as a circular poster frame (and even plays as it should using the controls in the QuickTime inspector panel). However, when I go to "play" my slide it displays the movie as a rectangle. Obviously, the masking is somehow getting lost somewhere.
Is this a bug with Keynote, or am I just missing something?!

The final effect you want might still be doable, as long as you don't think of the builds as having to take place on the same slide. If I understand what you mean by the movie moving in and out of the slide, you could have the opening still from the movie as an image, masked to the shape you want, move in on one slide, then undetectably transition to the slide with the cutout and movie underneath, then, when the movie is done, transition to a new slide with the final movie image as a still, again masked to the same shape, and have this move out. It would take three slides instead of one, but you should be able to achieve the end result you want.

Image movie not displaying correctly
Hi All
I am trying to make a slideshow in Imovie that I will then attach in IDVD. When I import the images and play them they appear to zoom in and out with some images cutting off heads etc, how can I just display the image then move to the next without any special effects?I believe your Ken burns effect is on. Uncheck and apply to all frames.

.mov not displaying on a second computer
On my Mac Pro, I have created a .mov at maximum resolution and size, using file>export>quicktime movie and selecting self-contained movies.
This views fine as a QT movie on my Mac Pro.
But when I move the file to my Mac Mini and try to play the file, only the audio is heard; no video is seen. FCP is not installed on my Mini. The mini is running the latest version of QT Player. The Mini (brand new) is hooked up to a 1080p tv.
QT sent me to this link, to get a missing component, without specifying which one:

1- Can anyone advise me please which component I should install on the Mini?
2- If I were to install FCP on the Mini, would this solve the problem?
3- Is there another way to create a QT movie at full resolution that is fully portable from source computer to another?

* .mov is simply a generic file type that can contain many different codecs.
* Figure out which one you used and try something else that is available on the mini. (see item 3)
2. Your license doesn't allow this. You'll need a second license.
3. Export as H.264 and make sure your mini has QT7 installed.

Iweb movie not displayed after publishing
Hi there
I created a new site in iweb with two photo pages and one movie page. The photo pages work fine but the published movie page does not show the movie, only a white square with the quicktime logo.
I checked idisk and the movie file has been uploaded and is there. Any ideas what the problem might be?

It looks like it is the same issue that is being discussed in another topic - the movie file takes a couple of minutes to load on my 512kb broadband connection (which I found out by chance as I had left Safari open at the website) but there is no indication whatsoever that it is still loading. Hopefully Apple can address this issue soon.

I am using the Magic iDVD option to burn to .mov files onto a dual layer DVD-R. In the Magic iDVD mode, I choose the theme and audio I want for the menu screen. Then I went to choose the two .mov files. It's for a wedding. One is called Ceremony, and the other is called Reception. I look under the "Movies" tab, and the Ceremony file is listed. However, the Reception file is not showing up. So I went into Finder to make sure the Reception file is there, which it is. Why would it not be showing up in iDVD under the Magic iDVD mode? Is there a workaround?

Hi I am using RoboHelp 7 and have uploaded captivate movies
as baggage files which are then lauched from within the project.
These all work perfectly when published locally and to a cd,
however when I publish them to a different server the movie windows
launch but nothing happens. This has happened since renaming the
project. I've check to ensure the movies were published also.
Am now at my wits end with it, anyone got any ideas?Problem solved, a machine issue, works from everywhere else
just not the machine I am testing off, most strange, either way

Font in movie not displaying correctly
Take a look at
BPI.
The font in the slide show is supposed to be displaying as
"Verdana" and is instead displaying as Times New Roman it appears.
I could swear that when I first created this file the font
displayed correctly. Can anyone tell me what is going on here or

On windows 7 only, ie9 and firefox 4 spry bar not displaying correctly?
This website www.colonialstock.com does not display the spry menubar correctly. I need it to go all the way to the right. But when I do a view on IE8 or do the compatibility view on IE9 (which is the same as IE8) it brings the bar too far, making it fall below where it is. I need it to work on both browsers. The same is on firefox 4 and earlier versions. I am guessing this is just a windows 7 issue in all. Also on firefox when i hover on this tab issuer services> annual meeting & proxy the sub sub menu appears farther down than it should it works fine on all ie8/9 versions. Please let me know if you have any solutions.

Photo title and description does not display
I have a site created in dreamweaver, I used photoshop to
create a web photo gallery. The title and description although
entered as file info and directly as html will not display when the

My vertical Spry is not displaying properly in IE 8
I am working on my first website using Dreamweaver CS4 and my spry is not displaying properly over my flash photo gallery. It looks ok in Firefox (although the borders are missing on my submenu for "sheds tool list") but in IE 8 the submenus can't be seen. How can I correct this?

You flash movie doesn't have the parameter wmode=transparent. If you set that, the menu bar will be on top.
