Movies and tv shows, stored in my itunes, are not playing on my iPad

In my iTunes, I've played tv shows and movies on my laptop and iPod, however I can't get them to play on my iPad. Help?

The movies and tv shows in your iTunes library on your computer can be transferred to your iPad via the iTunes sync/transfer process. This is selected under the Movies and TV Shows tabs for your iPad sync preferences with iTunes. After the movies and tv shows are transferred, they will be available in the Videos app under iOS 5.

Never mind I fixed it. Just in case anyone else has this problem, after you reinstall iTunes you have to delete all your old music, and if you have iTunes match all the songs you have saved on itunes match will display and you just have to download them to your Macbook.

When you purchase a movie with iTunes Extras, the primary movie along with the iTunes Extras will download to your iTunes Movie folder. Mouseover the cover art and click the icon on the album to open the main menu to play the movie or view other features.

Did you download them direct to your IPad or to your computer. If so unless you have synced your iPad with your computer since you downloaded they are still on your Ipad unless you deleted them or if they were rentals the time ran out.
To check on your iPad launch the iPod APP on your Ipad if a movie listing does not show then click on the iPad button under your library list column and it should then show your movies etc
Or launch the Video App and look for them there
if you have downloaded them on your computer they will show up in iTunes the cartoons i suspect will show under TV and the Movie under Movies.
A rented item expires 30 days after you rent it or 24 hours after you begin playing it, whichever comes first. Expired rentals are deleted automatically. After you transfer a rental to your iPad etc, it is removed from your iTunes library.
Outright puchases are obviously yours to keep.

I had to have my PC repaired and the hard drive had to be swiped clean. I rebuilt my itunes to the way I had but now half of my songs I click and drag to my iphone in itunes are not syncing at all, why is this?

connect your device and right-click or control-click it in the iTunes Source list, then choose transfer purchases from the shortcut menu that appears.

Quicktime Player should already be installed on the Mac. If you transferred Quicktime from a VAIO it will not run on a Mac -- no PC software will without using a special interface.
Right click or control+click on one of the files, then > Open with Quicktime Player.
I already suspect that since these files will not play completely on any of your devices that you have an incomplete download.
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store - http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519 - enabled with iTunes 10.3 and newer; not available in all countries; only apps, books (not audiobooks), music, and t.v. shows (not movies). A couple of months ago, I went to the Apple Store to try and sort this problem out. I was told that I was not playing my songs out of an actual music library. I created a library and loaded all of my songs, movies, etc. onto it. I had found that when I synced my songs from the new library onto my itouch, the songs no longer stopped in odd spots or bled into each other. To ensure that most of my songs had been fixed, I played the ones that were the most problematic. Fortunately, the songs play all the way through without any interruption. So far, I have not encountered the same problems that I had posted in my question. I apologize for not knowing the fellow's name who helped me with my iTouch at the Apple Store, but I would like to say how thankful and happy I am now that my iTouch no longer skips to the next song.
I know that other people have had this same issue with their iPods. If you encounter your music not playing correctly, I would suggest that making a new library and loading all of your music into the new one may help correct the problem. I hope that this helps.

TS3297 Hi. I can't find the movies and tv shows icons on my iTunes store. I use a 4th generation iPad with ios8.1.2. I haven't used the store in a long time but I'm pretty sure they used to be there. Now all I can download is music. Please help

Loosing Sync Purchased Movies and TV Shows (ATV 2.4 & iTunes 8.2.1 )

Had my 160gb ATV for about 6 months now with now problems. Have my entire audio library synced, movies, tv, shows etc. All my music is DRM free. All my TV shows are purchased from Apple. My movies are a mixture of ones purchased from apple and some of my converted DVD's via handbrake. Music videos from apple.
Within the last day, my ATV isn't showing all my movie and tv shows I've purchased.
About 2 weeks ago, my ATV upgraded to 2.4 (I do have the latest Boxee running on it). And earlier this week, I upgraded my PC with iTunes to 8.2.1.
Now shows just started disappearing from the ATV.
I "disconnected" my ATV from my PC with iTunes (of course I rebooted both my PC (WinXP) and ATV).
Next I reconnected my ATV to my PC with my iTunes libaray. It is going through a long resynch process.
But it still looks like it is only resynching certain items. Music all look OK (all drm free). Music videos moving over. Only some movies and no TV shows (again).
One thing I noticed is that all none DRM items seem to be resynching. Also DRM items that have Fairplay 2 seem to be resynching. But anything that has fairplay 3 doesn't seem to be moving to the ATV.
I just purchased season 2 of burn notice. It downloads to my PC OK, but none of these new shows are syncing to the ATV either.
Could it be something with particular versions of fairplay?
Any other suggestions?
This is killing me, as I was trying to catch up on some TV shows this summer.

Oh alright -- I manage to resolve my own stupidity quite abruptly, actually.
Shortly after posting this, I annoying took another gander at iTunes Store settings. To my own idiocy, I must have unchecked "Show iTunes purchases in the cloud" at some point. In my defense, though, the availability of songs in iCloud threw me off quite a lot.
Ha ha -- anyways, if anyone else is having the same problem, check there.

Videos in my iTunes are not playing back correctly.

Every time I choose to play on of my music videos purchased from iTunes, it playsback really distorted and fuzzy sounding. I have checked all my connections ot see it it was a speaker issue, and I also checked to see if these same videos would play on windows media player and quick time, which they did. I have gone through apples page on video playback problems and did everything that applied to my computer and still I've had no luck. I am currently running windows 7 64-bit and am using iTunes version 10.4.0.80 which I recently updated to.

Some of my songs on itunes are not playing correctly...

i moved all my music files to my external hardrive, and they were working just fine. but for the last month, some random songs are not playing correctly!! they sound like how a scratched cd sounds (skipping, etc..., and then it just stops and it skips to the next song). the songs were playing perfectly before, it was all of a sudden, and not all, just some of them.)Also, the same songs that are not playing can not be transfered to my ipod... (tear)

Well, several people have now replied to this post, but if you mean Apple, the answer is "no". This is a user support forum, and Apple do not provide product support through it.
If you want to report a problem with something you have purchased, open the iTunes Store and login to your account. On the home page at the very bottom of the screen, you will see a link that says "Purchase History". Click this, and click the "Report a Problem" button and follow the instructions.

I am trying to download a digital movie and I am being told that iTunes is not available now.

If there are multiple apps trying to download at once, only one can download at a time and the rest say "Waiting" until it is then their turn. Try this. Double tap the icon of the Waiting app, and it should resume the download.
Another thing to try - Turn the iPad Off & then back ON.
If that doesn't work:
• Log out of your iTunes store account. Go to Settings > Store > Sign Out Then press the Home button.
• Then press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously and don't release them when it brings up the Turn Off screen; keep holding them until the Apple logo appears.
• After restart, the Waiting should be gone.

Applecare Senior Advisor Txx Bxxx (I have his contact info in an email he just sent) just confirmed with me that the problem people are having with the App Store not loading is an apple issue with there servers, ITS NOT YOUR IPAD so don't go restoring it! It's not happening to everyone however but they are looking into it, its really hit or miss.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.
