Moving column separator causes cell resize

Hello, y'all,
I've run into a strange issue, in which the cells of a table control will resize when I move a column separator. I can't always reproduce it and I have no idea what's triggering it. Is this a known issue?

Hello, Mr. Altenbach! Right, I should've been clearer. The problem is that the cells to the *right* spontaneously resize themselves during a Mouse Move event--and to the same width, as far as I can tell. I don't know what triggers it. I'm running LabVIEW 8.5.

You didn't mention anything about Cover Flow in your orignal posts, did you? I am neither content or not content using Column view. This has nothing to do with me! I was simply trying to help you by suggesting that Column view works.
By the way, I am not wrong. Column view resizes perfectly well when the vertical separator line is double clicked.

Our WPF application uses DataGrid.
One of request is that first column of DataGrid does not show row separator and also does not show Left column separator. So it looks like the first column does not belong to the DataGrid. However, when select a row, the cell of first column still get selected.

We found another way to achieve it by using DataGridRowHeader. The good way to use DataGridRowHeader is that we do not need to make the first column ReadOnly (click on first column does not select whole row anymore). Select RowHeader in a row will select
whole row. Move scroll bar horizontally, the row header still keep in visible area.

How to import data from CSV file with columns separated by semicolon?

I migrate database from MS SQL 2008 to ORACLE 11g
I export data to CSV file from MS SQL
then I try to import it to Oracle
several tables goes fine using Import data option in the SQL Developer
Standard CSV files with data separated by comma were imported.
chars, date (with format string), and integer data are imported via import wizard without problems
the problems were when I try to import table with noninteger numbers with modal part separated by comma not by dot
comma is the standard separator for columns in CSV file
so I must change the standard separator to semicolon
then the import wizard have problem to correct recognize the columns data because it use only standard CSV comma separator :-/
In SQL Developer 1.5.3 Tools -> Preferences -> Migration -> Data Move Options
I change "End of Column Delimiter" to ; but it doens't work
Is this possible to change the standard column separator for import data wizzard in SQL Developer 1.5.3?
Or maybe someone know how to import data in SQL Developer 1.5.3 from CSV when CSV colunn separator is set to semicolon?

A new preference has been added to customize the import delimiter in main code line. This should be available as part of future release.

BLOB column will caused large memory consumed ?

our appliation server is AS9.0.4 and
We using this Jdev 10g with BC4J and JSP
to build some application that contain blob column BC4J entity object, we found the blob column will caused the memory consumed issue , each time the contain blob column application page request by browser that will consume about 50M memory on OC4J component instance, and incremental by each request until the instance out of memory. It seems the garbage collection or memory leak problem ? or have another solution to avoid the memory problem

I encountered a similar problem when I was retrieving BLOB files in the .NET architecture. I used chunking to solve the problem.
What happens is that the server reads the entire BLOB into memory before it sends anything to the client requesting it. So I set it up so that I would read a chunk (say 32KB) of the BLOB into a byte array, transmit it to the client, then read the next chunk from the BLOB and use it to overwrite the byte array, and so on. That way the maximum amount of memory that can be used is no greater than the size you specify for the chunk.
This will cause downloads to slow, but it's the only way I know of to avoid massive memory consumption. Sorry I don't have any code to go with this, but I've just started working with Java/Jdeveloper recently. Hope this helps.

This problem is only about webforms. We can correctly input data through Data Grids or Client 32.

Process works fine... how to track which column is causing error..

hi, i have a big sp which does lets say tasks A, B, C, D...
After every task i.e A, B, C, D I have an update or insert
statement. The update & insert both work fine, except that I
have coldfusion catch code for sp execution and it returns String
or binary data would be truncated error. Normally this means
inserting something into a column whose lenght is less than whats
being inserted. I understand this , but how can i determine which
column is causing problem since after tasks A,B,C,D the insert or
update i have is working fine. It would be have easy if i couldnt
have seen inserted or updated records, but in this case the
functionality is working fine except that coldfusin gives an error
which i want to avoid.

by the way , this SP is working fine for 99% of time... its

get the format dd/mm/yy but then I have to cast it to datetime
which will again make it in format dd/mm/yy hh:mi:ss... any other
way to just keep it dd:mm:yy ???

Column separator problem

Regarding the column separation line, I know how to change column numbers on regular pages, but it does not allow me this option on the opening chapter pages. The vertical line separating the page in half stays there. How can I go to single column, thus eliminating the vertical line in middle?

yes. Number of columns. Easy to fix on regular page, but not on first page of chapter. I'm pretty sure the problem is about number of columns. Create a new text box? I don't think that would make the line go away.

ORA-14402: updating partition key column would cause a partition change

Hi,
When I am trying to execute an update statement where i am tring to update date values emp_det from 11-oct-2010 to 12-nov-2010.
Oracle throws an error :
ORA-14402
updating partition key column would cause a partition change
I think that this is because emp_det is a partitioning key of a partitioned table.
Oracle documentation says that
"UPDATE will fail if you change a value in the column that would move the
row to a different partition or subpartition, unless you enable row
movement" .
alter table t enable row movement;
I did not understand what is meant by "enable row movement".
I cannot drop the partitions and recreate it after updating the table and also i don't have proper priviliges for enale row movement syntax
because of the lack of privileges. How to solve this is issues with out row movement and recreate partition.
Can this be done by a developer or is there any other way to execute update in this case? its urgent.. pls help..

how would you think should behave DataGrid when you'll populate your separate arrays with variable items number each?
all you are able and should do is to build composite dataProvider source, join all your separate arrays into it, this is your responsibility.

Ability to set column separator character when Exporting Results

It would be really cool to be able to set the column separator character when using TXT export of the Results panel. Right now it defaults to a comma. If I could set it to be the TAB character, I would be able to export to the clipboard and then paste the clipboard contents directly into Excel. Right now when I paste, all the columns in Excel have a comma at the end of them, except the last column. I am trying to get around having to create a CSV file. I end up with so many temporary CSV file "laying around".

I already have this entered as an enhancement for a post-production release. It came up on a thread where users did not like our current mechanism of using a tab and comma on the data (and just a tab on the column headings which is really a bug). I have requested that we consider allowing the user to provide the delimiter for text export in the future.

View Columns Mailbox causes failure

I just noticed, after a day of crashes, that un-checking View>Columns>Mailbox causes Mail to behave badly. I had not wanted the extra column of Inbox-Mailbox to clutter up my upper window, so I turned it off. For the next day or more I couldn't get Mail to open properly or register emails correctly. I had made other adjustments as well as I was tweaking 10.5.2, so I didn't notice right away that that was the problem situation. Others might be aware that removing the Inbox-Mailbox from the upper window can be a source of a lot of issues.
I have notified Apple of the bug.

As the router reset,when you try to transfer the larger file,I would suggest you to upgrade/reflash the router's firmware and reconfigure the router from scratch...You can download the firmware from www.linksys.com/downloads.Before upgrading the router,unplug the HDD from the router.
On your laptop,remove all the preferred network,add the wireless profile and map the drive again on the computer.
