Moving document using workflow from sub site to site collection

Hi,
I was looking for steps to move documents from sub sites to site collection or from sub site to sub-site in SharePoint 2013. I tried with reusable workflow but unable to set the target library which is in site collection level. Its not listing down the site
collection libraries. It is showing libraries in sub site.
Any ideas how it can be done by workflow? or any other approaches there ?
Your suggestion would be appreciated.

Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to move document from one site to another site using workflow.
There is no out of the box action to achieve it in SharePoint.
However, there is an avaiable activity Copy List Item Extended Activity in the CodePlex, you can have a look at it.

Note: the activity should be used in the SharePoint 2010 workflow platform.
We can also use the site content and structure to achieve it(within the site collection ) .
Make sure you have following features activated:
Site Collection feature: SharePoint Server Publishing Infrastructure
Site Feature: SharePoint Server Publishing
Then go to: Site Actions >> Site Administration>>Content and Structure

We have built a simple JSF page on OC4J app server..

View documents using uiwebview from server.

I am uploading Documents(.png/.doc/.pdf/.xls ETC) on server from website. i have iPad App from where i need to view them. from DB i will get path like D:/Doc/Upload/test.pdf for every document. these is path of server where document is uploaded.
is it possible to view them on iPad. after some googling i found out UIWebview support most of the document. to connect to client server i use VPN. from iPAD is it possible to connect to VPN(sonic wall) i have seen in setting. and can i pass path and i will be able to view uploaded DOC?

It will not work on ur client machine as the EXCEL.EXE path may be different on client machine.
Microsoft changes the path of EXE files according to the version it releases.
It happens when u upgred existing MS office.
u will have to get the value of registry entry from the local machine for EXCEL.EXE
and then try again, hope it will work

Is not post parked document using workflow

Hi friends!!!!
Weu2019re using workflow for document parked through FIPP_FRAME_1 template and task Task WS10000051 delivered by SAP
The system does not post parked document parked that are processed via the workflow although they have been released, but, when we try posting it through the menus u201CDocuments > Complete" in the Tcode FBV0 the document parked is not post.
When checked in the Tcode SWIA, We´re having an endless loop
the moment we choose workflow logs option. The items keep on
repeating on a loop giving us a long scroolbar with repeated lines.

How do I create a merged document using information from Numbers?

I am new to using Mac and am trying to create a mail merged document. I do not seem to have the same options in my Inspector that are referenced in the tutorial I found online. Can anyone help?

That is because these are removed from Pages 5.
Pages 5 is a much cut down version from the previous Pages '09.
Pages 5 is designed to work better with the less featured iPad version.

i am working on "releasing external purchase documents" scenario. For this i am having STANDARD workflow which is "WS20000075" and using "RELEASE STEP CREATED" event in object type BUS2012 . I have created release strategies for all POs. But whenver i create a PO the event RELEASE STEP CREATED is not getting activated. So, can anyone tell me do i need to anything in configuration part. tell me when this event will get triggered and how to do it..

YOu have to some configurations like:
Specify whether each release code is relevant to workflow
Assign a release point to workflow-relevant release codes
Activate your workflow.
Have you done all those things or do you need input for that?

Use APIs from a non-BC site

Hi all. BC newbie here.
Is it possible to use the e-commerce APIs from a site that's not built on Business Catalyst? Support informed me that the APIs can't be accessed except through a Webapp, but it seems Webapps only run on a BC site. What's the solution, then? How do I make a non-BC site communicate with a BC site?
Or, do I have to make it go the other way? Write an app to have the BC site his the other site through Ajax?

Hi there,
That is a bit of a mix up.
You can not use Webapp API's on a a 3rd party system at this time and only through BC apps. other API's like the eCommerce can be used on 3rd party systems.
Ajax will not work because browsers use the same domain policy for protection, you need to do server side code or properly create jsonp etc content to access data if you want to read from another system in BC or other web services. All depends on what you are trying to achieve.

ABAP runtime error in FBV2 Change parked document using workflow

When selecting screen template variant in tcode FBV2 change parked document, I get abap runtime error DYNPRO_NOT_FOUND
Tcode- FBV2
Program- SAPLF040
Screen- SAPLF040 0310
Main Program - SAPMF05V
Information on were terminated.
Program SAPLF040 - in " %_CTL_END "
In the source code you have the termination point in line 50 of the (Include) program " <SYSINI> "
How can we solve this error. We are on ECC6 with release 600.

Hi Mark,
We have this same issue in transaction F-65
I believe that when a new screen template is configured, a new screen is generated within function group F040. A later action (applying a hotpack??) has removed this screen, but the config (in table T021D) still points the processing to the screen even though it has been removed.
Did you find a solution? We want to get the screen back as it is still valid to use this screen template in the business

Hello Craig,
I have attached an example that will demonstrate this for you. You may need to change the Word Server to match the version of Word that you have installed. This can be done by right clicking on each ActiveX step and select Specify Module. Under Automation Server, scroll down the list to Microsoft Word... and select it.
This is primarily an example to demostrate calling Microsoft Word from TestStand. If you require additional functionality from the Microsoft Word ActiveX server then you should refer to the API reference help for Microsoft Word.

Releasing production order using workflows from outlook.

i am working on workflows and my scenario is whenever production order creates it will send mail to approver in his/her outlook. And approver will approve/reject from outlook only by just clicking on approve or reject tab.
As of now mail is coming from SAP to outlook but the problem is how to release production order by just clicking on approve or reject tab in mail.
please help on this its urgent.

as u told me create an event for relaesing production order , but as per my knowledge event are somethings that gets trigger at some point like creation , deletion. with events one cannot process things those are only for alerts so please confirm the same and how to process it.

New to the MacAir. Moved documents and photos from computer to flash drive. How do I now move to Mac? And how do I drag and drop?

New to the Mac and not finding manual helpful. Did not want to move everything from my old computer so just put the phots and documents I wanted on a thumb drive but don't know how to now move them onto the computer. Something talks of drag and drop but it won't move.

Understood, ... go into FINDER at top then PREFERENCES then GENERAL tab
then check "hard disks" and "external disks"
THIS WILL PUT A HD ICON ON YOUR DESKTOP YOU CAN OPEN AND DRAG AND DROP FILES TO (or from)
THEN verify the format of your external HD
go to DISK UTILITY and verify what it says your HD is formatted as under the "ERASE" tab
HFS+ above is the "mac format" however do NOT erase / format the HD, since this will erase it.....UNLESS you want to do this
Format (erase) it in "mac osx Extended journaled"
AFTER THIS YOU CAN DRAG AND DROP FILES AS YOU LIKE

How do you hyperlink a rollover to another page from within your iweb site?

Ive made a bunch of rollovers for my iweb navigation bar. If youve created a rollover you know you have to link the images to a image hosting site. here as you would just normally drag and drop a image from your desk top. Because of the way iweb works, if you are using images from a image hosting sit, you can no longer adjust the characteristics of the images i.e. colors, size, and in this case the hyperlink. More specifically you cant change the hyperlink to a page within the iweb site.
So the problem im trying to figure out is how to link the rollover to a page within my iweb site.
now you can actually change the hyperlink of the rollover. however you must do this by adjusting the html within the snippet of the rollover. The problem i found is that iweb doesnt creat sub domains for each page. a entire iweb site with multible pages uses only one domain which is the homepage. so i cant just type a subdomain of another page into the snippet hyperlink because the subdomain doesnt exist.
here is the link to my site. youll notice i did figure out a work around with the "contact us" button but its a huge pain in the butt. i had to create a new domain and a new site then attach the referal index.html to that new domain. todo this for every single button is very difficult.

so i guess the bigger question is, is there a easier way to do this?
perhaps if there was a way to create a subdomains like springgardenranch.tk/contactus withing iweb for each page. but i dont even know if thats possible.

Moving files from one folder to another using workflows

Hi everyone,
I need help creating a workflow. Within my Shared Documents Library, there is a folder, within which there are other sub-folders.
Shared Documents--> Resumes --> Approved
Shared Documents--> Resumes --> Rejected
I want to create a workflow so that the resumes are uploaded to the Resumes folder and based on whether the user approves or rejects them, they are moved into either the Approved or Rejected folders. Any help would be highly appreciated

Why to make it more complex when we already have facility to group them by status option? Create a view and select group by “status” or create a separate web part page and add Shared Document library web part 2 times on the same page. For the first web part
select filter option which only displays files with “Approved” status and for the other web part select it for “Rejected”
