Des solutions à me proposer ? Cordialement Anthony, mercid'avance.

  • NEF to DNG 6.5 results in different number of unique colors, pixels and RGB values

I took pictures from my old Nikon D40. I converted them with the standard settings from NEF to DNG.
I then used UFRAW under Linux and saw that the pixel size increased from 3039x2040 in NEF to 3040x2040 in the DNG - and that the live view RGB values were about 5% higher for NEF that for DNG.
"FastStone Image Viewer" shows the same increase in pixel size. Additionally, it shows that the DNG has roughly 93,000 unique colors compare to 90,000 for the NEF file.
More pixel, different RGB values, different counted unique colors - what's going on here? This doesn't look like a 1:1 conversion?

Not exactly sure what you're comparing.  For raw data you need to be comparing the original mosaic data values (not some converted result, or even partially converted result like demosaiced result).   Are you sure that's what you're doing?

  • How can i find out what color is a certain pixel in a picture file?

Do any of you know if there is some command that returns the color of a pixel in RGB format or something from a picture file?

I think the best way to find pixel RGB from a an image is to use extension of java.awt.RGBImageFilter
Load the picture file as java.awt.Image and apply that Filter you can easily get the RGB of your desired pixel
Replies and queries are greatly appreciated

  • How do I disable automatic hot pixel correction in ACR?

OK - I'm really conused here...
I just got a Nikon D800E and on my first day of shooting I noticed a hot pixel spot in my images in Bridge.  The when I opened the files in ACR, the hot pixel spot was gone.  Apparently this is a "feature" of ACR: it automatically replaces hot pixels with RGB values from neighbring pixels.  (So those of you who think you have no hot pixels, think again  - you might be shielded from the truth!  I find this fact very disconcerting, but that's a separate issue...).
The problem is that I can't tell how many hot pixels there are.  Based on the image in Bridge, it would have to be spot of 20 - 30 pixels (maybe even more).  That's unacceptable to me, especially on a $3300 camera.  Sure, maybe a few hot pixels spread around the image, but 20-30 bunched in that one spot, that's unacceptable.
However, I can't figure out how to disable the automatic hot pixel correction in ACR, so I don't know if the issue really is 20 - 30 hot pixels or if Bridge is just doing some type of sub-sampling that makes the problem look a lot worse than it is.  Furthermore, this concerns me greatly because I've been using a D200 for many years and have never seen a single hot pixel issue.  So that says to me that the sensor on my D800E has a bigger hot pixel issue than it should (I realize all sensors have some hot/dead pixels).
So, any help on how to go about figuring this out?  The simplest solution is to disable the automatic hot pixel correction in ACR, but I can't figure out how to do that.  I'm guessing it's not possible.
    Thanks,
    rgames

Sorry, I' wouldn't presume to embark on a Google search for you, as I'm sure you can do that yourself, MikeKPhoto..
What I can tell you, without a question, is that it was discussed at length in these forums during the earliest versions of ACR eight or nine years ago or so, and I remember participating in a discussion of the feature myself with other Pentax users in the Pentax SLR Talk forum on DPReview around 2003 or 2004.
I found one such message from 2006 (see below) but I'm sure I was involved in earlier discussions a few years earlier:

Interesting. It's possible that my camera does have a few bad pixels, but I'd never see them because I shoot RAW exclusively and Adobe Camera Raw maps them out on the fly.
One of these days, when I'm feeling masochistic, I guess, I'll try the Pentax software to convert a test image. Or maybe not.

  • Reading pixel color from Image?

    Hello frnds,
I am making a project in which i have to upload Image, am trying to find color of each pixel in RGB format so that I can locate where my sprite begins in Image !!
But I am not able to do so.. do I have to use PixelGrabber to do that? or should i use RGBImageFilter..!! I am new to java so if u can tell me how to use them, then It would be grateful.
I want to scan whole image from left to right, Right to left, top to bottom and vice-versa. So that I can exactly tell at what pixel value sprite starts and ends.
Please help me out. any sort of help will be useful for my project..

  • DigitalColor Meter - RGB Values Don't Match?

I've saved a 16 color palette under 'Colors' in the 'TextEdit' application. Each color has been set by directly typing in the values for R, G and B, for example one of the colors is R=68, G=255, B=153.
If however I open the 'DigitalColor Meter' application, which is set to 'RGB As Actual Value, 8-bit' and move the aperture over the same color in the 'Colors' window the DigitalColor Meter reports the RGB values of that color differently to what was set. For the color mentioned above it reads R=73, G=250, B=151.
Why don't the two match as they should? This happens with any color, but not black, white or a shade of grey.
If I save an image from a website by draging the image to the desktop then open the image and use the DigitalColor Meter to compare the RGB values of any given pixel in the saved image to those of the same image displayed on the webpage then again the RGB values between the two will not quite match, but black, white or a shade of grey will.
If however I save the image to my desktop by using >Apple-shift-4 to grab the image then the RGB values do match.
Can someone explain exactly what's going on? Does it have something to do with perhaps OS X applying gamma correction to the screen so that any image displayed on the screen will have its RGB values slightly altered?
If this is the case why isn't the DigitalColor meter affected or does it read a pixel's RGB values directly from graphics memory instead of screen memory where the gamma correction is being applied, not that I know how a Mac's graphics are organized, but I'm assuming anything to be displayed on the screen first has to be fetched from graphics memory.

Well this is a day of debugging I'd rather have back.
With a form of Rubber ducking my colleague helped me notice that the number of items being displaced was equal to the number of page zero item I added recently.
These items were placed in my menu region, which happens to be region position 7.
I had commented out a section of my page template
    <!--<header id="uHeader">
      <div class="apex_grid_container clearfix">

but this content was obviously still being generated.
At some point during the page submission, this disturbed what apex was doing - somewhere these 'duplicated' yet commented field definitions were causing apex_application.accept to store the values in locations offset by the four P0 items.
I often look to page zero for potential causes to strange issues - but this one initially beat me.

  • Converting from RGB colorSpace to cs_gray

Pls can anybody help with the conversion from sRGB to cs_GRAY
i have been trying to convert but the registry says the samplemodel is not compactible the colormodel

I am replying to this topic again in the hope someone will be able to help with step 2 of the subject question.  In one of the replies, Michael offered a VI utilizing nested loops to convert the 32 bit array containing RGB values to Cielab Lab values.  Because of the extensive computations required for digital images of significant pixels, the cited nested loop approach requires to much computation time (i.e., approximately 30 seconds) when a steady stream of images need to be processed.  I believe there exists another Labview approach that will allow the conversion of all the pixels' from RGB coordinate color space to Lab coordinates allowing histrographs to be plotted for the respective L, a, and b distributions.  I would appreciate help from an NI engineer or anyone who is familiar with a more efficient colorspace conversion approach for all pixels of a digital image.

    Hi,
you may want to see here: you can use escape codes to change the foreground and background colors of characters in a list box.
They affect only the label in which they are embedded.
To change the foreground color, the code is \033fgXXXXXX where XXXXXX is a 6-digit RGB value specified in hex.
To change the background color, the code is \033bgXXXXXX where XXXXXX is a 6-digit RGB value specified in hex.

  • Moyenne glissante

    Bonjour,

  • Heading 4 and 5 - Words Cut Off

This could end up being a PDF issue, but I thought I would start here with "the source."
I have a Framemaker book with 5 (identical setup/format) chapters. When I create the PDF, life is fine. When I view the PDF, life is fine. When I print the PDF, only the first word in my Heading 4 and Heading 5 paras appears.
    Example:
    Real Heading
    Peripheral Target Pathway Planning
    Printed Result
    Peripheral
It is consistent -- every level 4 and 5 heading is missing words. Headings 1 through 3 are fine.
Has anyone see this? Is there any possible setting in Framemaker that I have overlooked that would cause this behavior?
    Framemaker 11, Windows 64-bit.

thisoldman wrote:I think it usually matches DejaVu Sans Mono.
    That's correct.
thisoldman wrote:What is the terminal app where this occurs?  How are you setting the font for that app?
LXTerminal, and it also occurs in Leafpad. It does not occur in KWord or LibreOffice Writer. This leads me to believe it's a problem with LXDE/Openbox.
thisoldman wrote:Do you have any custom fontconfig rules or apps installed (ubuntu, infinality or cleartype)?
    Not that I know of.
thisoldman wrote:Do you use a window manager that allows you to change antialiasing settings or hinting of fonts from a system management page?
I just went into LXAppearance, and found that antialiasing and hinting (full style) is enabled. It also allows you to choose the sub-pixel geometry (RGB currently), but that's not a topic I have any knowledge on.

Indeed, When I disabled the box : "Use hardware acceleration when available". The font render was OK : No more "bold" effect.
But I don't understand that, because before 2 days, the render was OK too.

  • ECRAN NOIR - N100 black screen

    Bonjour,

  • TB stopped retrieving new messages and trying to "reconfigure" my account to fix the problem, now I lost my old messages.

[4/15/14 edit #3] I posted the requested troubleshooting information and made a backup of Profiles using MozBackup, so my remaining problem is the presence of two Inboxes, both receiving messages, and my not being sure which one can safely be deleted nor how to safely delete it.
[4/14/14 edit #2] T'bird's Help taught me where my "Profiles" are stored but I found I had no backup of them. However, I now discover that I have TWO Inboxes - hadn't noticed that quirk before. Thankfully, one of them still contains all of my old messages! The Inbox that still has all of my old mail is listed as a subfolder under "Local Folders" and the Inbox that I thought was my only Inbox is listed as a subfolder under the top folder whose name is my email address. Both Inboxes are now retrieving my new mail. Does this mean I have somehow created two accounts? If so, how do I get rid of the account that uses the Inbox that does not have all my old mail in it? I don't want to get rid of the wrong account but I suspect the "right" one should be listed under my email address, not under "Local Folders". If anyone understands this mess that I've created, I'd really appreciate some advice so I don't make things worse. At least I've now learned what it is that I need to back up.
[4/14/14 edit #1] Following is a major update of the problem I described before (see below). I disabled the Mail Shield portion of my Free Avast antivirus software and discovered that TB was again able to retrieve my email. Then I re-enabled Avast to see if it blocked TB again. It did not. So, apparently simply turning Avast's Mail Shield off and then back on again seems to have fixed the problem. However, I'm now left with the consequences of my having tried to "reset" TB as I described below, namely the loss of a very large number of emails that were stored in my Inbox. So the remaining problem I'd like help with is how to recover those seemingly lost emails. If they remain on my hard drive, where did TB store them and what specific files should I look for? I do have a backup of some of my hard drive (but nothing under Program Files), but I need to know how to identify them, where to look, and how to get them back into my Inbox without deleting its current contents. I'd really like to also retain their original dates, if possible. I'm running 64-bit Windows 8.1. [end of 4/14/14 edit]
TB suddenly stopped downloading my mail today. After I click Get Mail, I can see at the bottom of the screen a very rapid succession of messages; first the "connected..." message, then "checking...", then "downloading 1 of 10...", then finally, "No messages to download" after downloading absolutely none of them. I also noticed that my list of mailboxes was missing the very first entry that showed my email address as the account name. Figuring something major must have been changed in my account configuration, I went through all the settings but saw no problems. Finally, I decided to try to re-establish my same account. That did place my email address again back at the top of the mailbox listings as my working account name but it also created a worse problem. There were now no messages in my inbox, I suppose because I must have created a new account using the same name as the old one, whereas before there were thousands of messages that I had saved for many years (since this is a business). Then when I clicked Get Mail, TB downloaded 383 messages that had not yet been deleted from the server, giving then all today's date (another loss since their original dates were important). But after it finished downloading all of them, clicking Get Mail still does not retrieve any messages past the time that it stopped retrieving them earlier today. Those newest messages remain on the server - but now there are 14 of them instead of 10. The same succession of TB messages appears at the bottom of the screen, but now it says "Downloading 1 of 14..." but still downloads none of them and ends with, "No messages to download". This sequence of messages will repeat as often as I try to retrieve mail but it can still count how many it is NOT downloading. Two questions: (1) Are the thousands of messages that were stored in my Inbox still stored somewhere on my computer and is there any way to recover them? (2) How can I get TB to start retrieving my current email again? I guess it's obvious that these are important problems to me and that I'm totally stumped. Many thanks in advance.

  • Firefox keeps coming up as my homepage and I have tried every suggestion listed under that problem. I never had this problem until two days ago

I have a gateway NV53A laptop. My homepage has always been http://www.yahoo.com/?ilc=1. Suddenly about 2 days ago, it started coming up as Mozilla.org and no matter what I do it will not stay as the yahoo.com homepage. I have followed every one of the directions listed for people who had the same kind of problem and it will fix it until I shut down or restart the computer. If I have to just get rid of Mozilla I will do that because I have now spent 2 days on this and I'm sick of it. I have done the thing with the preferences, the thing with setting up your homepage, the thing with getting rid of the pref.js and it just comes back and it still goes to firefox. I have right clicked the pref tab and it isn't locked. So if you can help me then that would be great but I have just about decided it is a lost cause.

Here is the stuff from the clipboard about my computer
