MPD and the artistsort tag

I know that a lot of Arch Linuxers use MPD. Have any of you had any success getting MPD (or GPMC) to actually use the "ARTISTSORT" tag? I've been struggling with getting it to work. It looks like support for it was added in version 0.16 (Changelog). However, I cannot seem to get it to recognize this tag.

If you go under Options and select "Set Document as XHTML"
and select strict, that should do it for both.

BC won't allow me to insert code (scripts) between the /body and the /html tags.

So I have this weird problem. I'm trying to insert some codes between the </body> and the </html> tags in the page templates. It's saving it. But if you check the page, the code is showing before the </body>, not after. Here's the code that I'm trying to insert.

I have also tried adding this code by downloading the templates through ftp, adding the code, then uploading it to the server. Same thing. I even added type="text/javascript" in the code. Still no go. BC wouldn't insert it between </body> and </html>. Any ideas guys?

So an update.
I was told by Adobe chat support to try adding the script after the body via javascript.
So I added this before </head>

How can I view and edit title tags in files panel ?

I have a very big website and I would like to find a way to
more efficiently view and edit page title tags.
Is there any way to have a view which shows the file names
AND the title tags? Is there a way to edit title tags using such a

back up your site.
open your site in dw, open any page in question and do a ctrl
f .
you will have a find a replace window pop up
the "find in menu" select "Entire current local site"
paste <title>Untitled Document</title> inside the
FIND area or what ever you
have there that needs to be changed throught out your site.
it the replace window paste <title>guinness or what
ever</title>
then by clicking replace all, all reference to
<title>Untitled
Document</title> in your current local site will be
changed to
<title>guinness or what ever</title>

How to display sub and sup HTML tags?

I use the htmltext property of the text control a lot for displaying Infotext, but this property can not render then <sub> and <sup> Tags. How can I display Infotext where I need, for example, math formulas within the text flow???

Thanks for this information. This framework should meet a lot of my demands, but for this actual project, it's too complex, I only need this 2 tags additional to the existing, and I substituted the <sub> tag by a <font size='-2'> and the <sup> tag by drawing a spezial character (↑). With this drawing of special characters, I can also do a lot.
But nevertheless that's the framework I need for future projects!

The Photo tag does not appear on the iTunes menu for syncing

I had recently bought an iPhone and I would like to transfer some photos from my computer to the iPhone. The problem is that I can`t see the Photos tag on iTunes to select the folders I want to sync. My wife has an iTouch and, with the same computer, she can transfer Photos without any problem. Is there any way to make this tag appear? I would like to use my iPhone as a picture frame as well, and it doesn't seem to work? Is there any other way, for PC users, to transfer some pics from PC to iPhone (again to use it as a photo frame?

hi, I have not this problem, but have read some forums with people having the same problem. It seems to be with people using PC and not mac. Are you using iTunes 9? If so, it seems to be a screen resolution problem, and some of the image is cut and not shown on the screen. Just adjust your screen resolution so the image is all on the screen and the photo tag (the last on the list!!!) will show up!

Apple Support Communities Spellcheck and The Box about why something was Edited

Hi,
Two Questions.
1) Has anyone found a way to make the choice in the SpellChecker anything but English US.
I can change it for one post but the next always is back at English US
(I know the HTML Editor is subject to my computer's settings and is somewhat helpful if untidy)
2) If you come back to edit you post a similar box to the Title Box on the Original Post appears below the main Reply area. (Small and narrow but can have plenty of text added)
It has a standard "Message was Edited by :- (Your alias)" pre-filled.
I prefer/used to add new lines in the Previous software and add why I had Edited.
I find that adding a new line does not actually add them when posted. In fact a Space between the end of my alias and the new add-on text is missing.
Has anyone found a way to tweak the actions of this Box ?
(I have tried HTML <br> tags and the <p> tags to no avail)

This pic was the Original default message then two Enter keys to create a line with nothing on and then the text.
Followed by two more enter keys and the br tag and that line as in the pic.
The most that happens is a space is actually created (which may or may not be new)
I preferred under the old system to also say why I edited something and now it looks like a mess (See Below the Sig stuff)

This problem doexn't happen consistently. This occurs once in a while.
I tried to increase Login delay Seconds parameter in the Connection Pool to 15 sec. It didn't help me much.

I have an iPod Touch and I have added mp3s and want to know where the id tags are being stored so I can transfer it to another computer

I have downloaded AAC files but I have also added some Mp3s I made earlier from CDs I own and I have updated the info for them in iTiunes and it doesnt seem to have updated the ID3 Tags.
Does anyone know which file I need to copy to transfer the info data to my computer at home, and can I just copy the file into My Documents iTunes folder and have the info displayed in iTunes?

ITunes Match and the magical disappearing explicit tags

So, after doing a spring (winter?) clean of my iTunes library today, there seems to be a bit of tension between iTunes Match and Explicit tags on tracks.
I'm obsessive with my library and add lyrics via Get Lyrical, use a script to search my iTunes library for specific profanities that outputs them into a playlist then use MetaX to tag all songs in that playlist with the explicit tag. As a student of radio, sometimes, it's just easier to check for tags that drive through yrics for profanity and songs that are airable.
However, for whatever reason, as soon as iTunes Match updates the library with the server, all explicit tags are removed except for those that are downloaded from the store with the tags already added (which is an annoyance in itself because Apple see fit to mark an entire album as explicit even if a specific track is clean and safe for air). Removing the explicit tags will find it readded after the iCloud sync.
All other elements of manual metadata are safe; purchase date, release date, copyright. It just doesn't like explicit tags - hoping it'll get fixed in a future update.

My library has just over 10,000 songs in it. 95% came from my CD's that I ripped myself, plus some that I recorded directly to the computer from cassette or record (yes, I actually did that!). I recently subscribed to iTunes match and other than about 100 songs, they all matched correctly. I was very meticuous about my tagging so my library was very clean. Not sure if that matters as I understand they use a digital matching scheme rather than based on tagging, but regardless, I am very pleased with the final result.

ITunes changing the ID3 tags and deleting music after syncing or opening

After syncing (or opening iTunes), iTunes changes the tags in about 25% of my music (this time it was about 90% affected). It removes the total track number on some of the songs. This has been a consistent problem. I noticed that it also actually erased some of my music, random tracks in my library are now missing (gone in windows explorer also). I have reformatted my iPod and restored it, it's not that. What is going on!! Going through and fixing 7500 songs every time I sync is ******* me off

Forgot to mention that it also copied the artist field data to the album artist field... had to erase all of those too

Mine is doing the exact same thing. It happens every time I click on a song. Weird letter-number strings are inserted into the Comments field, my album art is gone, and the track numbers are messed up.
I've tried upgrading to the new iTunes. I tried reinstalling iTunes. I turned off my soundcheck option and deleting potentially comprised files. Nothing's worked.
I've tried emailing Apple directly and got no help. Anyone know what's going on???

Is it possible to modify the tag structure tree and the role map via scripting?

We use unstructured FrameMaker to produce training materials which we distribute as tagged PDF to meet accessibility requirements.
When FrameMaker creates a tagged PDF, it does a fairly good job of populating the structure based on the PDF setup information for the paragraph formats in the FrameMaker documents. However, there are some limitations in the support that FrameMaker provides. For example, almost all paragraphs are assigned to the P role even if they are headings and should be mapped to H1-H6.
We want to be able to easily post-process a PDF that has been generated from FrameMaker to fix some of the tag structure issues (including tag names and the role map) so that the PDF will provide the optimum experience for a user of the JAWS screen reader.
I spent some time reading the SDK documentation but didn't find much information about manipulating a tagged PDF via the API, especially via scripting.
Does anyone have any examples or references which explain how to do it?

AFAIK, it's not possible with a script. You might want to ask in the SDK forum, as it could be possible with a plugin.

Using Dreamweaver CC 2014.1.1, when I select a set of paragraphs to turn into a Definition List, and select Format - Lists - Definition Lists, I get the dl tags but do not get the dt or dd tags?

I have used this before in earlier versions of DW and it worked fin. I tried tonight with CC 2014.1.1 in either design view or in codeview with the same results. I would select the text from the starting <p> tag to the ending </p> tag, and then in the menu choose Format - List - Definition List and only get the <dl> tags. Anyone else experience this?

That's how it works in CS6, too. And it is not just for definition lists. That is the expected outcome no matter which list type you use. DW doesn't know where the DTs and DDs begin and end because you've highlighted an entire paragraph and asked DW to format it as a DL.
I typically code my own Definition Lists. It's faster.

I already know that the date on the photo per the tag that shows up on it in iphoto is NOT the date the photo was actually taken. I need article or literature or something confirming the tag is from when it was sent to the iphone and/or when it was imported. I greatly appreciate some assistance!

All I am trying to do is find something on a forum board or article etc stating that the the date showing in iphoto could be the date it was imported or synced or sent to me and not the actual date taken.
The date on the photo could be anything because you can edit the date with iPhoto or any of 100 apps, free and paid for. So, the date on the photo will prove nothing, I'm afraid.

Use of installer-desc tag and the ExtensionInstallerService of the jnlp

I have an application where, the properties file is outside the jar file. Each client machine has it's own copy of properties file. At some instances the user has to update the properties file ( to him it's a config file). This is ok with the system when i was not using Web start. Now with web start, i want to give the properties file to the user along with the download. ie. I don't want to post it explicitly, it should go with the installation(ie. download), but place it on a specified location on the client machine. I've seen the <installer-desc> tag, where i've seen there's someother jnlp file also related to the main jnlp file. I couldn't get the correlation. Can anybody help me giving me some info. about <installer-desc> and the ExtensionInstallerService of the javax.jnlp package. Please!! it's very urgent.

unic.native.install makes all connections with the ExtensionInstallerService (progressbar/heading/status) and installs native stuff. Works all fine, but when all is installSucceeded(false), JWS shows the error "Installation failed" ?? Don't see why..
