MPLS using ripv2 bridge

hi all,
here my scanerio,
rightnow we are using the wireless bridge between the sites , so the network is same on both ends all the servers and ip telephony in one site.(SITE A)
now we are got from ISP layer 3 MPLS link using ripv2 routing.
is it possible to make the MPLS link also like wireless brige?
or
the networks on both ends should be different. if it is , how to route all the traffic through the MPLS to other side .( like internet and VOICE).
here the network details
172.16.0.0/16 -- my site A network which all devices are there
my MPLS IP -site A 172.16.1.61/30
connected with cisco router one interface as 172.16.1.55/16 and MPLS interface as 172.16.1.62/30
and Site B -- 172.16.1.57/30
connected with cisco router one interface as 172.16.1.56/16 and MPLS interface 172.16.1.58/30
this what i have done it but not tested.( i am sure this is not correct)
will this work or we need to have seperate networks on both end?
thanks
cyril

Hello Cyril,
my understanding is that you have bought a single L3 VPN service with an access link in site A and one link in site B.
The SP network is in the middle and does not allow to achieve your objective, because it makes a choice of single best route, and it propagates only this.
Inside Site A, PBR policy based routing based on source address can be used on CE device (the router connected to the MPLS cloud) to send traffic to RA or RB depending on the source address of traffic originated at SiteB
example:
I make the assumption that you have a third router at site A RC that acts as CE node of site A.
I also assume a common LAN between RA,RB and RC inside siteA.
The following are on this CE node.
access-list 111 deny ip 192.168.1.0 0.0.0.255 172.16.0.0 0.0.255.255
access-list 111 deny ip 192.168.1.0 0.0.0.255 10.1.1.0 0.0.0.255.
access-list 111 permit ip 192.168.1.0 0.0.0.255 any
access-list 112 deny ip 192.168.2.0 0.0.0.255 172.16.0.0 0.0.255.255
access-list 112 deny ip 192.168.2.0 0.0.0.255 10.1.1.0 0.0.0.255.
access-list 112 permit ip 192.168.2.0 0.0.0.255 any
route-map PBR-siteB permit 10
match ip address 111
set ip next-hop
route-map PBR-siteB permit 20
match ip address 112
set ip next-hop
interfaces fas0/0
desc to SP MPLS network
ip policy route-map PBR-siteB
+
RIP configuration towards SP
the first two lines of ACL 111 are for allowing inter site routing, only traffic with a destination outside siteA have to be processed by PBR.
warning: this is just an example to show the logic of PBR .and I haven't checked all the commands
PBR works inbound on traffic received on CE router on the MPLS L3 VPN access link
Edit:
RA and RB will also need a NAT configuration.
Hope to help

  • IPhoto: Using Adobe Bridge

I am presently using both iPhoto and FCPX. I only use iPhoto store the photos and images I use in albums. If I need to modify them I take them into Photoshop and then save them backin iPhoto. However, I now have about 5,000 images and feel a need to be able to sort them further and do more global commands on them (such as resize). For this, I really miss using Adobe Bridge. Is there a way to use Adobe Bridge with iPhoto?

Thank you. I am beginning to think I need to investigate exactly what and how much iPhoto really does. I didn't know it was this powerful. I will go to the link you gave me.
I think I am feeling overwhelmed with so many images because I need to find a good way to organize them via keyword (which I know iPhoto does - I just don't know how to select by keyword "yet").
I did like the capability in Bridge of selecting a lot of photos together and resizing them to all the same size in one command (via Photoshop).
I really do need a powerful photo manager so I need to understand how much iPhoto can do for me. I see I also have a lot of duplicates now so my initial idea of sorting by photo album name was not a good idea. I need to use keywords instead.
If iPhoto doesn't allow me to resize a batch of photos in one command, for the few times I need to do it, I can always export them into a folder and then do it in Photoshop because I would want to retain the photo in its original size anyway.
Now to the link you gave me . . .

  • Why when using Adobe Bridge,  I apply a star rating,  the rating does not show up in Photoshop Elements? [tags]

Why when using Adobe Bridge,  I apply a star rating,   the rating does not show up in Photoshop Elements.  I use Elements as my organizer and Bridge to view as it is much more user friendly.  Anyone any solutions??

Most likely you have set the wrong file as the external editor. You don't want the obvious one; that's just a link to the welcome screen. Go back and choose this one, which is hidden away inside the folder Support Files:

  • Using Adobe Bridge and iPhoto together

I use Adobe Bridge (and Photoshop) to work on my photos. iPhoto is not an option since I shoot in Camera RAW. I also own an Apple TV and want to store all of my photos in iPhoto so they are available to the rest of my family via Apple TV. Has anyone figured out a way to do image manipulation first in Bridge & Photoshop and then have them sent (or later updated) in iPhoto in an automated fashion?
Conceptually, every time I add or change a photo in Bridge or Photoshop, I'd like to convert it to JPG, and add or modify the image in iPhoto.

Also make sure PS's File handing preferences "Macimize PSD and PSB File Compatibility" is set to Always and that there are no alpha channels in the file. An alpha channel will cause the black image that you're referring to.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • Using Adobe Bridge file structure with iPhoto (latest version)

I use Adobe Bridge and have all my pics in named folders in Pictures/PICS/Folder Names.  Inside the PICS folder is the iPhoto Library (only a few pics in it).  Is there any way I can use the file structure I have set up with Bridge and iPhoto (latest) simultaneously?  I really dont want to import (copy) all my pics into IPhot because I am pretty sure I will end up with two versions of each.  I havent been able to manage pics manually the way I like to in older versions of iPhoto.

Here's some info to help you setup Photoshop for use with iPhoto:
Using Photoshop or Photoshop Elements as Your Editor of Choice in iPhoto.
1 - select Photoshop or Photoshop Elememts as your editor of choice in iPhoto's General Preference Section's under the "Edit photo:" menu.
2 - double click on the thumbnail in iPhoto to open it in Photoshop.  When you're finished editing click on the Save button. If you immediately get the JPEG Options window make your selection (Baseline standard seems to be the most compatible jpeg format) and click on the OK button. Your done.
3 - however, if you get the navigation window
that indicates that  PS wants to save it as a PS formatted file.  You'll need to either select JPEG from the menu and save (top image) or click on the desktop in the Navigation window (bottom image) and save it to the desktop for importing as a new photo.
This method will let iPhoto know that the photo has been editied and will update the thumbnail file to reflect the edit..
NOTE: With Photoshop Elements  the Saving File preferences should be configured as shown:
I also suggest the Maximize PSD File Compatabilty be set to Always.  In PSE’s General preference pane set the Color Picker to Apple as shown:
Note 1: screenshots are from PSE 10
Note:  to switch between iPhoto and PS or PSE as the editor of choice Control (right)-click on the thumbnail and select either Edit in iPhoto or Edit in External Editor from the contextual menu. If you use iPhoto to edit more than PSE re-select iPhoto in the iPhoto General preference pane. Then iPhoto will be the default editor and you can use the contextual menu to select PSE for your editor when desired.

  • Are there advantages to using Adobe Bridge with Premiere Pro?

I frequently use pictures with my videos.  Normally, I use Windows Explorer with the picture viewer to browse for what I'd like to use.  I've experimented with Bridge, finding it to be a memory hog and slow.  It got me wondering - Are there advantages vs. Windows Explorer?

Bridge can be used to easily add hierarchical keywords to large amounts of clips (and afaik it's the only tool in the Adobe suit that can do hierarchical keywording with video files). Those keywords can then be used to find clips inside of Premiere. On large projects (1000+ clips) that can be a life saver.
Apart from this and the features you mentioned (the cross software color stuff is useless for video as of CS6), I did not find any use to Bridge for video. Plus as you said, it is a memory hog, slow and in my own experience unstable with /  not adapted to video.

  • Why I can't do a search in my external hard disk using Adobe Bridge CS6?

When I open Adobe Bridge CS6 and try to do a search within my external hard disk, it will give results from my internal hardisk only?! this is the 1st time I encounterd such strange issue. Because of this I do my search with windows and then browse each result with Bridge! which really annoying.

I solved the problem by going to the search field and clicking on the search icon where it will give a drop list of 3 options, then selecting Bridge Search: Current Folder and that solved my problem. thanks for everyone help

You can do a search of an external drive if the OS permissions are OK.  Bridge will not search across different drives however.

  • If I don't know how to use mini bridge in Photoshop and InDesign.

I tried to use mini bridge from photoshop and inDesign both but unsuccessfully. Displays message "Waiting for Bridge CS5..." and it seems for hours and hours but not working... .
But Adobe Bridge is working perfectly. Does anyone has the same problem?

So, I have the same problem with the mini bridge not loading. I noticed it also wouldn't load at my school on their Mac computers, too. I wondered if it had anything to do with me only having the free trial but the school's computer isn't free trial. I looked at the two solutions you've provided.
    1. When I went to the following...
    Win 64 bit machines: \Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\SwitchBoard\SwitchBoard.exe
There was no SwitchBoard folder, or SwitchBoard.exe on my computer anywhere... (Windows 8 64 bit)
    2. I then tried to see about your second solution and followed the link... it doesn't support my computer version ><
So I'm not really sure what to do since I need to get this working in order to complete my class assignment.... I am using the free trial at the moment but plan to buy the monthly plan through Adobe Creative Cloud for Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator.

  • Using Metadata bridge to create AW

Oracle documentation says that when creating an analytic workspace "it is good practice to create the AW in a different schema to the relational source....the user will need to be granted the OLAP_DBA and SELECT privileges on the source data tables".
When using the OWB Metadata Bridge to export to Oracle 9i OLAP, entering the username/pwd of the above user fails with "ERROR: dimension_not_found". The Bridge will only export to the schema which contains the relational data, in contradiction of the good practice outlined above.
Is there a way to use the Bridge to export to a different schema to the relational source?

The simple answer is no. I believe the API does not allow to do so...

  • When I use Adobe Bridge with PSE 8 is asks for my serial

I just launched Photoshop Elements 8 for Mac and chose to use Adobe Bridge to find images. Adobe Bridge opened and I found the image I wanted but when I double-clicked on the image a Photoshop Set-up dialogue box appears asking for my serial. So, I found my serial in my email because I bought the digital download and it says my serial is wrong. The weird thing is is that PSE is running and works fine. So why is Adobe Bridge asking me for my serial and rejecting it?
    thanks
    Jerry

Subversion is a program/system that stores files on a server, does versioning, etc. We use it principally for code management but also for our image files. It integrates into Windows explorer so you can check-in/check-out files, etc.
I was just wondering if there was a way to use Adobe Bridge as the front-end for it somehow.

  • How do I use CS6 Bridge Like Elements Organizer?

I like Elements Oganizer and I was wondering how I can do this with Bridge. Not sure if this is the right place. So I hope some will help me.
    Thanks,
    Joe.

Also, bear in mind that few users of the full version of Photoshop are familiar with Photoshop Elements or Organizer, so many of us won't even know exactly what you mean.
I have to get back on this, Just recently bought Elements and Premiere for Mac (actually more for fun and possible use for a minor workshop, not for my professional workflow) and only had a short glance at it.
Just glanced at it again (still briefly) but there is a difference that you can't use in Bridge.  Organizer has some shortcuts to fix images and creates a new version of the original.
This is not possible in Bridge. Also the Output Module in Bridge has a different approach to the create section in Organizer.
For me Bridge is the right tool and I'm sure "tweetybird" will benefit also after having learned a bit.
Especially the menu tools/Photoshop and the options in there will give better results (and far more control) to 'fix' ( I rather speak of optimize ) files to your satisfaction
But If you still need options from the create section that you will not have in the Output Module there is no objection to use Organizer for this by pointing it to the folder with finished files.
Its just a matter of the right tool for the right job

  • Hello: I am using OSX 10.9.3 Lightroom Version 5.4 Camera Sony A77...Problem: importing the foots form chip or from the camera the GPS-position is not shown in lightroom. Using the bridge there they are. What have I do do? Thanks

Hello: I am using OSX 10.9.3 Lightroom Version 5.4 Camera Sony A77...Problem: importing the foots form chip or from the camera the GPS-position is not shown in lightroom. Using the bridge there they are. What have I do do? Thanks

Please read this: Adobe Lightroom - Find moved or missing files and folders
You do not want to be in the Import section of Lightroom, you want to be in the Library Module. You don't want "Update Folder Location", you want to ctrl-click on a Folder name (not in Import, but in the Library Module Folder Panel) and select "Find Missing Folder"
You do not want to re-import photos that have already been imported, this is almost always a bad thing to do.

  • Use network bridge on Laptop

    Hi,
on my Desktop PC I use a bridge to be able to use VMs that are automatically integrated in the network.
I wanted to have the same setup on my laptop to have a as similar as possible environment.
However I failed to do so: I currently use NetworkManager to manage different WiFi Profiles. My first idea was to create a bridge with netctl, attach ethernet and wlan NIC to it and run dhcpcd on it. Then I tried to disable automatic IP (i.e. DHCP) on the network profiles. However I could not get it to work, dhcpcd always reported a timeout.
I think it would be easier and less error prone (some networks might combine wireless authentication and IP allocation, e.g. eduroam?) to have NetworkManager take care of the IP addresses and simply attach an bridge to the device that VMs or containers can attach to. Is this possible somehow?

This will not work properly because I switch networks regularly.
There are two solutions I`ve come up with
1.: Use etables to mask the MAC address for outgoing packets (NAT on OSI Layer 2) as described on the debian wiki
    2.: Do normal NAT
I have yet to try those, I will first try to setup etables, this will allow to copy the setup from my desktop PC. If that wont work I use option 2.

  • Want to use LWAPP Bridge on mobile cart in our wireless deployment.

Want to use LWAPP Bridge on mobile cart in our wireless deployment.
    Question.
I have several mobile carts that use an automous AP in bridge mode to connect to our wireless network. The cart machine connects to the ethernet port in the AP. We use this for ultrasound carts, moble video units, cardio-echogram machines. I need the same functionality, but I want to have the AP(s) be LWAPP for better managability and troubleshooting capabilities. I plan to put them in their own AP group.
How can I do this? Thank you in advance.

No, but there is for the 1262 and 1142 which won't be discontinued for awhile yet probably. Most newer items are starting to have wireless cards installed in them thus removing the need for bridges, this is a trend that we will probably see more of going forward.
