MRP generated PR with tied link to Sales Order
Hi,
With regards to the following two questions.
I notice that when come to Third Party Dropship and Individual Purchasing process (i.e. vendor sending to you, and you send to customer), the purchasing requisition created automatically upon which a sales order line item is entered and saved.
However, there is another case in which the purchasing requisition does not get created upon a sales order creation, but, the PR is only created and generated, when an MRP is run.
Regardless of 1 or 2, the item category in the PO will registered it as "E" as sales order stock with account assignment field showing the sales order document number.
May I know:
A - Why sales order document in scenario no. 2 does not trigger PR instantly and in what kind of scenario does no. 2 require to come into picture. It seems process no. 2 not making any business senses. (note, I am a MM guy).
B - When come to system setting, how to make no. 2 process take place?
Regards,
Tuff

May i know about the above scenario clearly, and try to elaborate this scenario with more details if possible?
Regardless of 1 or 2, the item category in the PO will registered it as "E" as sales order stock with account assignment field showing the sales order document number.
In the first scenario either in 3rd party sales or in IPO process system copies the account assignment category E from the sales schedule line category to PO through PR.
where as in 2nd scenario don't which case you are talking about?

For third party order, either you can create the material master with item category group as BANS, so the system will automatically pick TAS in the sales order for the material or you can change the item category manually to TAS in the order.
This will trigger a PR, based on the PR a PO will be generated.

Regarding creating a LOOSE LINK between Sales Order and Vehicle
Hi,
Does anyone has any idea on how to establish a LOOSE LINK between Sales Order and Vehicle using BAPI_VEHICLE_CREATE or any other Function module.
Any help will be highly appreciated and rewarded.
Kind Regards,
TanujaDear Kumar,
Strategy - 40
Consumption of PIR (not Redution)
1) the first point in strategy in 40 is, incoming sales order consumes PIR
2 )both sales order and PIR takes place in MRP planning run
2) this is where it is in mostly used in many indutries
just a small example how this strategy works
1) creat PIR for ur FERT- 100Nos
2) check in MD04- u will get PIR (VSF) as 100
3) now creat sales order for 120 for same month
4 )run MRP for that particular FERT
5) check the result in MD04, here ur PIR gets vanishied and an plan order will be generated for 120 Nos.

Creation of Billing with reference to the Sales Order
Dear Friends,
I need your suggestion for the following scenario.
Client wants to create the Billing Document with reference to the Sales order.I mean when he is entering sales Order while creating the billing document ,the system should generate the billing document only for the delivered quantity.
e.g sales order is created for 100 Tons. And there are 5 delivery documents for 50 Tons.(Still the Sales order is open).
Now when billing document is created with reference to the sales order ( Not with reference to the Delivery Document) it should create the billing document only for these five deliveries.
Is it possible? If yes,how?
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
ShrikantHi Murali,
Currently client has software where he enters only Sales Order no and their software creates the billing for the delivery document for this Sales Order.
Here client does not want to enter multiple delivery document nos if any.He wants to enter only Sales Order no.

Single Invoice with reference to 2 Sales Order
Hi,
How can i make a single billing invoice no (vf01) with reference to 2 sales order?
billing plan has been maintained from each sales order,we dont have any pgi process.
so process is sales order->billing plan-> invoice
my user want to generate single invoice with reference to 2 sales order - same customer no.For processing billing due list (VF04) - The system combines documents with the same customer number, proposal billing type and sales organization, and attempts to include them all in the same billing document. If the preconditions are met, then a single invoice is created for the deliveries and/or orders.
To do a collective billing. Collective Billing Documents
The selected documents in the billing due list are billed. The system tries to combine them as much as possible. Processing of the selected documents is carried out in the background. After processing of the documents, you return to the billing due list. The sysytem will indicate whether or not a document has been billed successfully.
If successful, then Save
You can also carry out a simulation of billing. In this case, select Simulate. The system simulates the collective billing / online function described above.
-After the collective run you can display a log for the collective run. This displays possible errors during billing.
-You can also branch to the resulting billing documents, in order to carry out a split analysis.
-The billing documents of a collective run can also be canceled.
Re: VF04
Hope it assist you.
Thanks & Regards

How to generate an Idoc form an existing Sales Order?
Hi experts.
Our client needs to generate an ORDERS05 output Idoc for Sales Orders that has already been created.
Is there a way to generate a new Idoc for those Sales Orders?
MASTER_IDOC_DISTRIBUTE won’t do the job cause I don’t how to complete all the segments, I need the standard procedure to be execute.
I thought to use a Bapi to modify the Sales Order, but that might execute routines that we not want to.
Any ideas?
Thanks.Hi,
You can generate an IDOC from invoice cancellation.Define a new "Z" output type for this cancellation billing document type and select the medium as 5(EDI).Check with your ABAPer for this.

How to link the Sales Order to Planned Order in Make-to-Stock scenario
Dear All,
My scenario is Make-to-Stock. Now client wants to know exactly what are the process orders created for Sales order. Please let me know where I will get the link between Sales orders and Process orders in Make-to-Stock scenario.
Regards
NaveenYou will require to work on the requirement type settings for MTS Scenario. The transaction code is OVZH. The requirement type for MTS is KSL.There are various rules for determining the requirement category.
The requirement type can be determined based on the strategy group in the material master / You can also use the item category and MRP type to determine the requirement.

Currently in the system, production orders are being created without reference to sales order.
Can someone tell me how to link a sales order to a production order? I want to know which production order is linked to which sales order. Also do let me know of the transaction to view this.Hi
Use MTO strategy 20 for the header saleable part,
then executre MRP for the Sales order using MD50.
Now you can check the planned order assignment tab for the reference to the sales order.
So while conversion automatically SO will be assinged to the PO

Dear Experts,
In Strategy:20, Make to Order scenario, I have run MRP for sales order in T Code:MD50,
then how can I check whether MRP run has been executed for a sales order or not. Is there any report where I can find some indication?
Thanks and regards,
VikasDear,
In MTO scenario with Planning strategy group 20 in material master .
After sales order is created, Run MRP , then planned order will be created then go to planned order details in MD04 or MD12 you will get sales order number in assigment tab.
or check the Table PLAF field PALTR ,and field name KDAUF its sales order, for all created planned order.

Link between sales order to Credit management
Where can we link between sales order to Credit management?
HI Gopala rao.,
In VOV8 sales document type there is <b>credit limit & Credit group</b> Where we asign the credit mage, ment data to Order
The configuration part of credit managemnt is
CREDIT MANAGEMENT:
A credit limit may be a customers credit limit, which is the permitted limit of value of open items, such as invoices not yet paid, plus the value of open sales orders.
The credit limit is the total combined value of the following documents:
Net value of sales order
Open Sales order: order created, but not delivered
Open deliveries: delivered, but not invoiced
Open billing doc: value of billing doc, which has not yet been forwarded to accounting
Open items: forwarded to accounting, but not settled.
Types of Credit Check
Simple Credit Check
Automatic Credit Check
o Static
o Dynamic
Simple Credit Check:
SPRO- IMG- SD- Basic Functions- Credit Mgmt/ Risk Mgmt- Simple Credit Check- Assign Credit Check to Doc Types.
Based on sales doc types
It will check all the above-mentioned docs & if the credit limit exceeds, the system responds in the way defined by you in the configuration menu.
Cannot differentiate according to customer
3 ways to Control the Simple Credit Check:
A: warning
B: error message: the doc cannot be saved
C: warning message with delivery block: the doc can be saved but is automatically blocked for delivery.
Automatic Credit Check:
This credit mgmt control is maintained by using the automatic credit control functionality. The automatic credit control divides the sales doc types, the delivery doc types, & goods issue into specific credit groups. It also uses the customers risk category as assigned to the CMD of the payer & assigns an outcome proc to the combination of the above 2 objects, i.e. the credit group & customer risk category along with the credit control area. The definition of customers risk category is carried out in the fin accounting module.
A customers risk category is a grouping category that controls the credit check when automatic credit control takes place. Thus one can assign high-risk customers to risk category for e.g. A01, medium risk to B01 and low risk to C01.
Automatic credit check divides customers in to 3 categories:
High-risk customers,
Low risk customers &
Medium risk customers.
A credit check can only occur at 3 places: Credit Group
Sales order: for high risk customers
Delivery: for medium risk customers
Goods Issue: for low risk customers
Credit Control Area (CCA): highest organizational element in credit management. A credit control area is an organizational unit that is comprised of one or more company codes. A company code can have no more than one credit control area. Defined by FI.
Menu Path to create Credit Control Area: OB45: FI people.
SPRO- IMG- Enterprise Stru- Definition- Fin Accounting- Define Credit Control Area

1000 Credit control area Europe
Menu Path to Assign Company Code to Credit Control Area: OB38: FI people.
SPRO- IMG- Ent Stru- Assignment- Fin Accounting- Assign Comp Code to CCA
It is possible to assign Credit Control Area to a Sales Area. This is more specific assignment than the assignment to Company Code.
Company code Company name City Credit Control Area Over write CCA
Menu Path for Defining Risk Categories: OB01: FI people
SPRO- IMG- Fin Accounting- Account Receivables & Payables- Credit Mgmt- Credit Control Account- Define Risk Categories.

SPRO- IMG- SD- Basic Function- Credit Mgmt/ Risk Mgmt- Credit Mgmt:
Define Credit Groups: OVA6
Assign Credit Groups to Sales Docs & Delivery Docs
o Credit Limit check for Order Types: OVAK
o Credit Limit check for Delivery Types: OVAD
Define Automatic Credit Control: OVA8
Define Credit Croups: OVA6
One merely creates a credit group for each differentiation in the doc type. You enter the credit groups when you configure the sales doc types for credit management & define the automatic credit check. The following credit groups are contained in the standard R/3 system:
01: credit group for sales order
02: credit group for delivery
03: credit group for goods issue
CG (Credit Group) Doc Credit Group
01 Credit group for sales order
02 Credit group for delivery
03 Credit group for goods issue
Assign Sales Documents & Delivery Documents:
Sales Doc Type Descp Check Credit Credit Group
OR Std Order D 01
Delivery Type Descp Del Credit Group GI Credit Group
LF Delivery 02 03
Define for each sales doc type whether a credit check should be carried out. Enter D if an automatic credit check should be carried out.
Specify a Credit Group
Specify a Credit Group for the Delivery Type for which you want to carry out a credit check
Specify a Goods Issue Credit Group for the Delivery Type for which a credit check is to be carried out for goods issue.
SIMPLE CREDIT CHECK CANNOT BE ASSIGNED TO DOCUMENTS.
Define Automatic Credit Control:
One can now assign settings to the combination of the Credit Control Area, the Customer Risk Category & the Credit Group.
CCA Risk Cat Credit Group Credit Control
4500 001 01 Low risk sales orders
4500 001 02 Low risk deliveries
4500 001 03 Low risk goods issue
4500 002 01 Medium risk sales orders
4500 002 02 Medium risk deliveries
4500 002 03 Medium risk goods issue
4500 003 01 High risk sales orders
4500 003 02 High risk deliveries
4500 003 03 High risk goods issue
Select line item and go to details, you can decide whether to do Static or Dynamic Credit Check. Credit Horizon can also assigned here. Additional function checks can be performed here:
A credit check when the maximum document value is exceeded.
A credit check when changing critical fields.
The risk category assignment occurs in the same place as the customers credit limit, which is the customers credit management screen. That is, the risk category is assigned to the customer by the Finance in transaction code FD32.
The customer credit master record is divided in to 5 views:
Overview Screen: gives an overview of credit settings in relation to the customer, including his credit limit, credit exposure, the %tage of credit limit used, his payment data & his risk category.
Address: view gives the customers address details as they appear in CMD
Central Data: is a view that shows the total credit limit the customer can receive across all credit control areas as well as the maximum limit he can receive in one credit control area.
Status: view shows the customers actual individual details according to particular CCA being investigated. This includes his credit limit, percentage used, credit exposure, risk category, whether he is blocked due to credit or not.
Payment history: view displays the payments made by the customer for a particular credit control area where a comp code is assigned.
Static Credit Check Dynamic Credit Check
Net Doc Value Net Doc Value
Open Order Open Order
Open Delivery Open Delivery
Open Billing Open Billing
Open Item Open Item
Compares the total combined values of the above-mentioned documents to credit limit. Plus credit horizon. Compares the values of the following documents to credit limit + credit horizon.
Credit horizon has an attached time period that states that the system is not to include sales orders in the total of outstanding items created after that specified period i.e. for the purpose of evaluating credit, you want the system to ignore all open orders that are due for delivery after the horizon date. Maintained for low & medium risk customers.
Update Groups
Basically it is a info structure where system stores all the data about credit limit. The credit relevant data is updated in a info structure, where it is accessed & updated. Thus each automatic credit control must be assigned an update group.
Update Group 000012
Update Group 000015: delivery & billing
Update Group 000018: sales order, delivery & billing.
Update group 000012, updates at:
Sales doc: increased order value
Delivery: decreased order value & increased delivery value
Billing: decreased delivery value & increased billing amount
Invoice: decreased billing amount & increased open item value.
Release Blocked Sales Order/ Deliveries:
VKM3: sales order
VKM5: delivery
VKM4: both
One can see the offending document. Note on the right hand side, the Status Field. This shows the check, the doc failed. If this field is empty, the doc did not fail a credit check, even though it may be in the list of SD documents that are required to be released.
To release the doc, one indicates the doc to be released and then clicks on the Release Button. The result is the offending doc entry, highlighted green. One then proceeds to save, after which you are informed the doc number has been released.
Net value with sub total A, in pricing proc, will be the basis for credit limit.
REWARD if helpfull
Thanks & Regards

Invoice VF01 with reference to the sales order
Dear Experts,
Our business requirement is to book the invoice with reference to the sales order without posting delivery and PGI. Provide me the step by step process to complete this configuration.
Is that suggestible to change the existing document type which the business is using by creating delivery PGI and Invoice to the document type where invoice booking with reference to sales order or I have to go with the new document type only.
With Regards

Please dont add such text in your post which is not encouraged in SCN.TW Typewriter
can you help, by creating the entire process in Sandbox and informing uday about the configuration steps?
At the outset, please refrain posting like this which, being a senior member of SCN, you should be aware of rules where spoon feeding is definitely not encouraged. Those sort of efforts have to be taken by OP. This forum is only to guide the people wherever they get stucked.

You should also be knowing the forum rules and I thought, you would have expressed like what I said above.

TO CREATE AN INVOICE WITH REFERENCE TO THE SALES ORDER
I have a credit memo request(sales order) and I need to create a credit memo(invoice) on saving the sales order without creating the delivery order in between. The invoice(credit memo) must be created directly with "reference" to the sales order(credit memo request) without the delivery order in between
Hi,
You can deliver the standard sales order by VA02 going to sales document-> deliver.
then save it it will give you outbound delivery number then go to vl02n the do the PGI of the same.
and for Invoices first create billing document byVF01 then create invoice list VF21
Thanks

Credit memo with reference to a sales order with reference to a contract?
Hello All
Now I created a quantity contract and the customer paid the Amount that means the billing is done then I started creating sales orders with reference to the contract, can I create credit memos with reference to these sales orders?
Regards
Jacopo FrancoisHi,
You can create a contract for a longer duartion say 1 year, andyou can create sales order in reference to your contract. This would be an ideal scenario in case of service materials.
You can now surely create credit memo's in reference to this sales order.
You will invoice the sales order first and create a credit memo request in reference to your sales invoice and then invoice the credit memo request to raise your credit memo for the customer.
Reward if helpful.

One sales order with reference to 2 sales orders
Hi Gurus,
can v create one sales order with reference to 2 sales orders?
i think it is not possible, but if there is any chance let me know?
Cheers,
SumithFirst u need to ensure whether copy controls are maintained between the documents (say Ex ZOR ---> ZOR) here i am assuming that ur source and target document are of same type)
Maintain the controls.
Then u need to create the source documents and save.
Then, u need to create the target document by using the create with reference button, enter the first reference order no and proceed further. ater entering into the order, again u need to press the create with reference button for the second time to enter the second reference order.
Now both the order items will come to a single order. now u can proceed further
Hope it is useful...
