Hi,
For third party order, either you can create the material master with item category group as BANS, so the system will automatically pick TAS in the sales order for the material or you can change the item category manually to TAS in the order.
This will trigger a PR, based on the PR a PO will be generated.

  • Purchase order link to sales order

In account assignment dropdown in purchase order, 'sales order' option is available. Will that link sales order to PO ?
    1. Does it mean when material is received, it will be used for assigned to that sales order ?
    2. But some sales order can not be entered in purchase order. Does anybody know why ?

  • Purchase requisition with reference to blocked sales order

    Hello,
we are creating purchase requisitions (PR) manually with reference to a sales order (account assignment Z). When this sales order is blocked, we still can issue the purchase requistion.
What can we do to avoid this? I think in 2 solutions:
    - use enhancement MEREQ001 to show error message when SO is blocked, so PR is not created. Is this possible?
    - create a release strategy for PR created in that plant (tr. OME6). The problem is that release strategy refers to an amount in the PO, and not to other factor, like SO blocked. Maybe in the former enhancement we can set the field EBAN-GSFRG to 'X'?
    Thanks for your help.

Many thanks for your answer. It help me to solve the issue.
So applying note 738171, with transaction OVB5 (or VOFM, requirements->subsequent functions->Purch.requisitions) we create one new requirement, ie RV07A900, and then we apply the rule that if we have delivery or billing block, that is, VBAK-LIFSK or VBAK-FAKSK not empty, then we set an error with a code similar to this:
                da_sy-msgid = 'Z1'.    (message class)
                da_sy-msgno = '001'.  (message number)
                error_exception = true.
and then the PR is not created.

  • Create a purchase order linked to sale order with DI

    Hello all,
I tried to create a purchase order based on a sale order with the DI but I get an error message "the business partner selected in base document is different than the target document"
As you understand, this is normal to have a different business partner. So my question is : is it possible to create with the DI a purchase order linked to a sale order or is this a missing functionality ?
    Thank you
    Sebastien

    Hi sébastien,
       oDoc.Lines.ItemCode = "A00001"
        oDoc.Lines.Quantity = 1
        oDoc.Lines.BaseType = 17
        oDoc.Lines.BaseEntry = 213
A Purchase document's BaseType can only be a Purchase document itself.
A Sales document's BaseType can only be a Sales documento itself.
To create a Purchase Order based on a Sales Order you must go through each row of the Sales Order and copy the values (ItemCode, Quantity, Discounts, VatGroup, etc.) to the Purchase Order.  And remember the VATCode used in a Sales document cannot be the same as the one used in a Purchase document.

  • Purchase requisition got deleted in the sales order..

    Hi All,
I got stuck up with an issue in AFS.
The issue is that after creating a P.O with the help of a TAB order, the user has assigned a rejection reason at the item level in the sales order.
Then again the rejection reason was removed and now the purchase requisition is not appearing in the sales order.
Now how can i get back the purchase requisition??Is there any option to retreve the purchase requisition with the help of a correction report??
Can any one please help me out..

  • Re: Purchase REquisition creation with ref to SAles Order

    Hi All,
I need help on an issue.
I have sales order creation and when saving Purchase REq is created at the back end. But for the sales order for item category n schedule line category combination does not allow creation of Pur Req. n pur req no. is not dislayed in Sales order.
But I have Pur Rq created with ref to sales order.
    How is it possible.
In Pur req  I checked the creation indiacotr, it is with ref to sales order.not manually.
Can you please help it out..
    Regards,
    Smitha

    Hi,
Purchase Requisition creation from Sales Order is dependent on the configuration of Schedule line category not Item category. Check configuration of Schedule line category in VOV6.
Also to see the PR No in Sales Order, double click on the Sales line item and click on the "Purchase Requisition" button under "Schedule Lines" Tab.

  • Purchase Requisition number not changing when sales order item is rejected

    Hi all,
I have a requirement to change the sales order status to 'TECO' when ever some reason for rejection is selected in the status tab at the item level. The status should change from 'TECO' when i remove the reason for rejection.
The status change is happening correctly.I have achieved it using user exit.
CASE 1 : Initially, when a new item is added in the Sales order the purchase requisition number appears in the schedule lines tab of the item level. This is as expected.
CASE 2 :When the same item is blocked (by entering a reason for rejection in status tab of VA02 ) then the purchase requisition number is not present in the schedule lines tab. This is as expected.
But i face the following issue.
CASE3 : Again if the blocked item is unblocked (By removing the reason for rejection in status tab of VA02 ) then the purchase requisition number does not appear again in the schedule lines tab.The purchase requisition number is expected to appear again.
This happens in case of DROP SHIPMENT scenario. I understand that in case of dropshipment scenario the purchase requisition number is triggered by item category and schedule lines only.
I tried to make the changes(to change the status ) in user exits 'MV45AFZZ' and also 'MV45AFZB'.But i face the issue in both the exits. Please let me know if there are any means to solve this issue(as mentioned in case 3).

  • Multiple purchase orders for one sales order: ME59

    Hi,
I have issue with converting sales order into a purchase order.
A standard third party sales order (type TAS) with multiple line items is being converted to a single purchase order.
In case of a free of charge sales order (type FD) with multiple line items, each line item is being converted to an individual PO.
The difference between TAS and FD is the item catecory and schedule line category.
In both the above cases only one purchase requisition is being created per sales order. The issue is when this PR is being converted to a PO. (ME59 is used to convert the PR).
Is there any setting/config which is driving the multiple PO creation based on either schedule line category or the account assignment category setup in the schedule line category?
    Please advice...
    Thanks,
    KSB

    Any ideas?

  • Planned Order creation for Sales Order and Purchase Order

    Hi
    We have a following requirement.
In normal scenario when we have demand for material  which was created by MD61 and in addition to that if there is Sales Order the 1st planned order gets revised. To better expalin this consider possible scenario
You create plan via MD61 for 200 qty .The system creates Planned Order for 200.
Now there is Sales Order for 150 peices. Then what happens is original  Planed Order of 200 is changed to 50 and another planned order is created for 150 peices. The requirement is not summed.
Now in new scenario instead of Sales Order there is Intercompany Purchase Order of 150 peices.
Now the system is not changing original Planned Order of 200,but it created another planned order of 150.So now there are 2 Planned Orders of 150 and 200.
What I want to know is there any way wherein the system will reduce the original planned order (similar to Sales Order scenario)
    Regards

    Hi,
Use Strategy 52 in urs case.
    PIR witll be created .
None convertable planned order will be created.
Once you get sales order for that material.
New planned order will be created which will consume PIR( planned order ).
    Eg.
    PIR 10.
    Planned order 10 qty.
    Sales oder 6
Planned order for SO 6 qty
Planned order through pir will become 4 qty.

  • Link a Purchase order to a sales order

I am looking for a way to link a specific Purchase order to a Sales Order so that when the Purchase Order is received the items are allocated to that specific Sales Order and another sales person cannot sell the murchasedise.  I know you can create a po from a sales order but it seems like when the po is copied to a goods receipt, anyone can invoice those items on a different sales order/ a/r invoice?
    Thanks,
    Don Shields

    Hi Don,
What you are looking for is more of a hard allocation of Items to a SO.  This functionality does not exist in B1 today.
If you want to manually create some processes and validation for this, it could be done.
    1.  Use Batch numbers management for items and linking a Batch to a SO and use the same Batch number in the Goods Receipt.
I have provided an ellaborate solution for this on this forum last year
You may check this thread in the meanwhile

  • How to link the Sales Order to Planned Order in Make-to-Stock scenario

    Dear All,
My scenario is Make-to-Stock. Now client wants to know exactly what are the process orders created for Sales order. Please let me know where I will get the link between Sales orders and Process orders in Make-to-Stock scenario.

You will require to work on the requirement type settings for MTS Scenario. The transaction code is OVZH. The requirement type for MTS is KSL.There are various rules for determining the requirement category.
The requirement type can be determined based on the strategy group in the material master / You can also use the item category and MRP type to determine the requirement.

  • Cost analysis through Purchase Order created from Sales Order

    Hi Experts,
This is the scenario: There is an Item No. which is not stocked in warehouse and is purchased only when customers ask for it. The cost of the sales order line having this item is calculated by the Purchase Order line on which the item is there. (The PO have items for other Sales Orders as well. And, Sales Orders have multiple item types) The Sales Order have the PO no. against it and Purchase Order has SO no. against the line. This is all done using MS Access and Sage Accounts. Lots of free typing and manual cost analysis involved.
I have gathered from this forum that we can create Purchase Order from the Sales Order. The Document No. information can be pulled from one another using Formatted Search. Can we do the accounting and cost analysis as well?
Please let me know if I have not made myself clear.
Thank you in advance and kind regards.

    Hi Ian,
I concur with Faraz, it is better if you use procurement document facility in doing back to back transaction from SO to PO.
However, in your case, I'm afraid you can't analyze the gross profit and recording the accounting related activity as your request using standard SAP B1 function.
    As for gross profit case:
Since you're actually using workaround in order to evade all hassles in maintaining all item master data related to this case, you create just one item code called S1 right?
SO DocEntry - SO Line # - Item Code - Item Name - Quantity - Price
    1001 - 0 - S1 - Table - 2 - 100
    1001 - 1 - S1 - Chair - 8 - 25
    1001 - 2 - S1 - Cloth - 3 - 10
PO # - PO Line # - PO BaseEntry (SO DocEntry)  - PO BaseLine (SO Line #) - Item Code - Item Name - Quantity - Price
    2001 - 0 - 1001 - 0 - S1 - 2 - 100
    2001 - 1 - 1001 - 1 - S1 - 8 - 25
    2001 - 2 - 1001 - 2 - S1 - 3 - 10
Note that standard B1 gross profit calculation is that system will compare selling price for each item with item cost / certain price list of each respective item. However, in your case, you put all item as a single item master. Thus, system couldn't compare Table to Table, Chair to Chair, Cloth to Cloth since the item cost for these 3 items will be the same, the price list for these 3 items will also be the same since it is actually only one master data. Of course you could update the gross profit calculation manually for each SO, but to be honest it seems rather weird to do this manually.
So, in order to simulate the gross profit calculation, you need to create a custom query and comparing PO line no with SO line no.
As far as accounting related recording concern, I'm afraid you can't do it
    1. SO 1 : Item Table - Selling price 130 ; Item Chair - Selling price 30
    2. PO 1 (linked to SO 1) : Item Table - Purchase price 100 ; Item Chair - Purchase price 25
    3. SO 2 : Item Table - Selling price 150 ; Item Chair - Selling price 40
    4. PO 2 (linked to SO 2) : Item Table - Purchase price 110 ; Item Chair - Purchase price 30
Correct me if I'm wrong, you want to record accounting wise that CoGS of Delivery based on SO 1 is 100 for Table and 25 for Chair, isn't it? No matter what costing method you use, you can't achieve this.
If you use moving average, system will average both Table and Chair cost price, since it is actually one item master data. Even if you distinguish each item as a master data, system will average the cost price for Table and Cloth by the time GR for PO 1 and PO 2 occurred.
Example (order by sequence of event):
    1. GR based on PO 1 - Table - Purchase price = 100, therefore Item cost = 100
    2. GR based on PO 2 - Table - Purchase price = 110, therefore Item cost = 105 (considering quantity only one for both PO)
    3. Delivery based on SO 1 - Table - CoGS incurred will be 105, not 100
To certain extent, same thing could be said with FIFO costing method
    1. GR based on PO 1 - Table - Purchase price = 100 (qty 1)
    2. GR based on PO 2 - Table - Purchase price = 110 (qty 1)
    3. Delivery based on SO 1 - Table - CoGS incurred will be 100 (qty 1)
    4. Delivery based on SO 2 - Table - CoGS incurred will be 110 (qty 1)
At first glance, it seems right since the CoGS for SO 1 is 100, tied up with purchase price for PO 1. And CoGS for SO 2 is 110, tied up with purchase price for PO 2. But we're using assumption here, we're assuming the sequence of Goods Receipt of PO and Delivery of SO occurred in the very same sequence as the issuance of SO and PO.
    1. GR based on PO 1 - Table - Purchase price = 100 (qty 1)
    2. GR based on PO 2 - Table - Purchase price = 110 (qty 1)
    3. Delivery based on SO 2 - Table - CoGS incurred will be 100 (qty 1)
    4. Delivery based on SO 1 - Table - CoGS incurred will be 110 (qty 1)
If above scenario / sequence that happened, you will get the wrong figure of gross profit since the Delivery of SO 2 will take the item cost based on GR of PO 1. Since we're actually talking about real life business process, who can guarantee that above scenario wouldn't happen? It is possible that you send goods to customer who ordered late in real life, too much possibility that it is better for you to mitigate such result.
My suggestion would be that you record the accounting transaction based on standard business process, no need to really capture the actual cost and actual gross profit for certain SO and PO. Too complicated, and the software itself doesn't cater this kind of requirement. Best thing you could do only create custom query for gross profit simulation calculation, but for very accurate accounting recording, IMO you should forget it. Hope this help.

  • Purchase order to create sales order and delivery

    Hello all,
I am planning to create sales order and since i require customer Purchase order to create sales order, i am also planning to create purchase order.
My question is who should i mention as vendor or who would be the vendor when i create a purchase order that would be used to create sales order.
should it be the customer who orders the material or should it be the plant from which the material is going to be supplied.
and also in the line item for the field "plant", should i enter the supplying plant or should i enter the ship to plant.
    Thanks,
    Maxx

The moment you mention 'Vendor', the SAP synonym for it is 'Supplier' hence it would be the supplier (and not customer), that is the plant from which the marerial is supplied. Hence your vendor in customer PO will be the supplying plant.
The 'Plant' in the line item in case of PO will be the receiving plant (the customer's Plant).
I hope this answers your doubt.

  • Uploading Purchase Order Against the Sales Order through DTW

    Hi Experts,
I searched the forum but could not see anything regarding this.
Can I upload Purchase Orders against the Sales Orders using DTW upload facility? Manually we do it through the Logistics Tab in Sales Order.
    Thank you in advance.
    Kind Regards,
    IC

    Hi,
You can use the BaseType, BaseEntry and BaseLine columns for this in the row level template (DLN1):
BaseType: it's the Object Type of base document (ORDR.ObjType) which is '17' in case of Sales Order
BaseEntry: it's the Document Entry of the base document (ORDR.DocEntry)
BaseLine: it's the row number of the line in the base document (RDR1.LineNum)
If you import your Delivery Notes with this info, the link to the Sales Order will be updated just as if you used Copy To in SAP.
