MS DL manager port number ?

Hi again from Michigan: Does anyone know the port number(s)
used by Microsoft's download manager? Works only when ipflt
is unloaded so I guess I have to add a filter or two. I
just don't know what ports it uses.
Thanks, Chris.

Thanks, will look and see. Chris.

Web Enterprise Manager Default Port Number in Oracle 9i:
Does anyone know the default port number of the web enterprise manager (Oracle 9i)?
If I installed or configured enterprise manager and I forgot the port, where can I find it?

You must read the part in the Installation Documentation for certified repository databases to ensure that your database is OK.
My advice is always, never start any installation (not only Oracle) without reading the Documentation, Release Note and any README.
You will spend less time in the installation as Configuration if you use the required documentations for your platform.

If the old ID is yours, and if your current ID was created by editing the details of this old ID (rather than being an entirely new ID), go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll.  When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

  • Changing the listener port number in a cluster environment

    Hello,
I have an Oracle 10g database on a Windows cluster environment with Oracle Fail safe. I am trying to change the default listener port number - these are the steps I have done to change the port number:
    1) Take the listener offline via Oracle Fail safe
    2) stop the original listener from the command line
    3) change the port number in the listener.ora file & save
    4) start the original listener
    5) bring the listener online in Fail safe
    6) register the listener in the database with ALTER SYSTEM SET LOCAL_LISTENER....
After all this, when i check the status of the listener via lsnrctl, i see that the new port number is used, however in the Fail safe administrator, I still see the default port 1521. How do I go about changing the port number so that Fail safe also registers the change?

I did troubleshooting to verify the group, but this just changed the port number back to the default in the listener.ora & tnsnames.ora.
So I did all the steps again to change the port number from the default to another - via lsnrctl status, i see that the new port number is being used, I can also log in to the database via Toad using the new port number, in v$parameter i see that the local_listener is registered on the new port number....only under the Fail Safe manager, the port number (under listener parameter) has not changed....it still shows the default port number. Anyone know how to change this???

  • Changing the Listener Port Number

    Hi RACers,
I need to change the TNS listener port number from the default of 1521 (don't ask!).
    I'm on Solaris10/Oracle10g 10.2.0.3 using a 2 node cluster.
I've tried editing the relevant files, bouncing everything and re-starting CRS, but that doesn't work. I tried using Netca to delete the listener and re-create it with a different port number and that didn't work either. The instances did not re-register despite having their local_listener parameter changes.
Obviously I'm doing something wrong, but don't know what. Any ideas or do you know where a procedure to do this is documented?
    Thanks in advance.

My posting was not aimed at the OP at all.. not his fault that Oracle insists on using a TCP port that's NOT registered for Oracle use.
It is all Oracle's fault that port 1521 is used instead of 1527.
As for what Oracle books say.. bahumbug. Means nothing ito playing by the same networking rules as everyone else.
Port 1527 is what is registered for and by Oracle as use for Oracle tcp traffic. Not fricken port 1521!
And why is this a problem?
If you're in the network business and deal with everything and anything from network analysis and management to rewriting ToS bytes for proper DiffServ application.. then it is very frustrating to find a major company like Oracle ignoring the networking rules.
I read that as Oracle telling us "screw you".

  • Status Agent Not Reachable - How to set a fix port number?

My EM 10g was working fine http://localhost:5500/em
Now when I tried, it was not working. I looked into portlist and found out it there was additional port of 5502
But when I logged into port 5502, Status Agent Not Reachable. Other links were working fine.
I had even installed another DB called REPOS other than the default ORCL.
All the services were up and running and I was just bouncing services back and forth and luckly I got the original port 5500 to work and then I did not got the error "Status Agent Not Reachable".
So I just wanted to know how to set a dedicated port in case the port number changes back to 5502 and if I get the error again.
    Thanks in advance.

Yes I installed multipe databases for eg ORCL was the default but I installed REPOS.
I did not uninstall the db.
Why does it show two different ports for ORCL 5500 and 5502 and for Repos it shows two ports but they are the same 5501.
Everything is on my local machine.
    Following is from the portlist
Ultra Search HTTP port number =5620
    Enterprise Manager Agent Port =
    iSQL*Plus HTTP port number =5560
Enterprise Manager Console HTTP Port (orcl) = 5500
Enterprise Manager Agent Port (orcl) = 1830
Enterprise Manager Console HTTP Port (repos) = 5501
Enterprise Manager Agent Port (repos) = 1831
Enterprise Manager Console HTTP Port (ORCL) = 5502
Enterprise Manager Agent Port (ORCL) = 1830
Enterprise Manager Console HTTP Port (repos) = 5501

  • How to create multiple instance of Jboss with different  port number

    Hi all
Please tell me steps to create multiple instance of Jboss with diffrent port number.
I tried with this steps, but it does not work for me.
In conf/jboss-service you will find the binding manager.
       <mbean code="org.jboss.services.binding.ServiceBindingManager"
         name="jboss.system:service=ServiceBindingManager">
         <attribute name="ServerName">ports-01</attribute>
         <attribute name="StoreURL">../docs/examples/binding-manager/sample-bindings.xml</attribute>
         <attribute name="StoreFactoryClassName">
           org.jboss.services.binding.XMLServicesStoreFactory
         </attribute>
       </mbean>Please help me on this.
    Thanks in advance

It is the name of the website for JBoss. That seems rather obvious to me, and you would have found out for yourself if you had tried it.
Your question is not a Java question and doesn't belong in these forums. It is a JBoss question and you should ask there, or more probably have a look at the JBoss documentation first.

  • Changing the port number in 10g Discoverer- Middle Tier & Infrasctructural

Earlier I had insalled 10g discoverer which incudes both Middle Tier & Infrastructural Tier with default port numbers.
Now i would like to change the default port numbers to other port numbers. This is because , i am got to do another discoverer installation with default port numers.
In this case i have one question. Is it required to change all the port numbers that exist in the file "portlist.ini" of both Middle Tier & Infrastructural Tier.
What change still i need to do in Oracle 11i application front.
    Thanks

  • Determining the Serial port number

I need to test my board on 3 PCs randomly. Each time i connect the board the serial port number like "com 18" is getting changed. Now the comport number i am using is 40.Though i dont any other USB connection.Though i refresh i still get  the data only if i define the port number as 40.Is there anyway to determine the port number. Also can someone tell me why this is happening?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I think you have USB 1.0, it will always take a new port number if you install a new one. (:unsure)
To find the right COM-Port of your device you can do following:
    1) send anything on each port and wait a little for the right answer, if OK,than take this port for communication.
or 2) you can get the description string of all ports installed from the device manager. If your USB-Serial-converter have a unique description string, you cann compare all descriptions with your one, and if it conforms, thank take this port for communication.

  • Listener port number

    hi,
what is the range of port number of listener in 10g and 11g.
in google it has show only default port number.
    thank you

    user8647245 wrote:
what is the range of port number of listener in 10g and 11g.Default Listener port is 1521. Registered port for the Oracle Listener with IANA (Internet Assigned Numbers Authority) is 1527 and not 1521.
You can however, in theory, use any port. In practice though, it is not that simple. And can be kind of stupid not to use the default or registered ports.
Ports 0 to 1023 are well known ports. These should never be used by any other applications like the Listener. On many kernels, only a root process can open a well known port.
Ports 1024 through 49151 are (IANA) registered ports. See RFC4340 for the registration process details. And this is where the Oracle Listener is registered as port 1527 - despite Oracle for many years using 1521 instead.
Generally speaking, keep to the default or use the the registered port. Do not arbitrarily change port numbers.
Ports 49152 through 65535 are private or dynamic ports. You should not ever use a port in this range as a listening end point for an application.
Okay, so why use specific ports for specific applications?
It comes down to network management and network performance.
Use arbitrary ports, and you mess sophisticated network designs horrible around. You can cause a negative network impact for your application due to how QoS (quality of service) are implemented. You can run into firewalls. You are not supportting the network folk in managing the underlying network infrastructure properly, enabling them to support your network application as you expect it to be supported.
So do NOT simply change the Oracle Listener port number. And no - changing it does not "improve" security either.

  • Port Number in Oracle9i for running isqlplus

    Hi all,
Just yesterday I installed Oracle9i in my PC which OS is WinXP. After installing, I faced a problem whenever I tried to run isqlplus.
Because from Oracle Enterprise Manager console I found Host (pc) & PORT (1521). So, when in IE i gave (http://pc:1521/isqlplus) it couldn't run. But after so many attempt, when I use PORT No. 80 instead of 1521, isqlplus window was open and run successfully.
Now my question is : Why PORT NUMBER is change from Console Manager & WinXP port no.?
Can any one clarify this? Does it differ in various OS?

We need to understand how the firewall setups are done in  your environment like might be some restriction is there also need to check if IP level access are there for you or you need to get that.
Usually in secured setup, for your application, you need to get access on IP and Port to access database server. This is good also but may be more restriction you can bring in.
Also to update in inbound and outbound, is required too at times when you have firewall services on as this is being disabled\stop too in many setup due to application level functionality issues too.
You can definitely go ahead and add these ports, this will not disturb you environment as you are just giving access to sql server available on host which is accessed, how? you need to check, may be your application is accessing through IP not name, application
will look for Port on this IP.
    Check some details about it:
    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tcp-and-udp-ports-explained/
    Also:
    TCP 1433
TCP port 1433 is the default port for SQL Server. This port is also the official Internet Assigned Number Authority (IANA) socket number for SQL Server. Client systems use TCP 1433 to connect to the database engine; SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) uses
the port to manage SQL Server instances across the network. You can reconfigure SQL Server to listen on a different port, but 1433 is by far the most common implementation.
    UDP 1434
UDP port 1434 is used for SQL Server named instances. The SQL Server Browser service listens on this port for incoming connections to a named instance. The service then responds to the client with the TCP port number for the requested named instance.
The SQL Server Browser service listens for incoming connections to a named instance and provides the client the TCP port number that corresponds to that named instance. Normally the SQL Server Browser service is started whenever named instances of the Database
Engine are used. The SQL Server Browser service does not have to be started if the client is configured to connect to the specific port of the named instance.
    Understanding this requirement:

You can use the same or different port numbers. The key to providing managed server
listening addresses is to ensure unique IPaddress:port combination for each managed
              server.

  • Sscm - port number

I have three instances running on my machine - two 2008 and one 2012.
following the installations, only sscm of 2008 is present - I can't see sscm for the 2012 installation - is that normal? or was there some problem during the installation of 2012?
anyway when I use sscm -> sqlserver network configuration -> protocols for <instance> -> TCPIP -> Properties -> IP Addresses  - I can see the port number for the first (default) 2008 instance under TCP Port.
but for the second 2008 instance and the 2012 instance, using the same options above, the TCP Port is blank.
why isn't the port number showing for the other two instances?
btw after I installed 2012, in sscm -> SQLServer Services - blanked out with an error. I had to install 2008 service pack 3 to get it working.
    appreciate the feedback.

    erland, thanks for the clarification.
I changed the port from dynamic to static for the sql server.
but in sscm -> ss network cfg -> protocols for <instance> -> tcp/ip -> properties
there is a list of IP - from IP1 to IP13 to IP all.
what are these? and why are there 13 of them?
I had to change the value of dynamic port/static port number for each of these to change from dynamic to static.
    is that required?
    appreciate the clarification.
    Hi vtpcnk,
Usually, SQL Server Management Studio and SQL Server Configuration Manager accept both Internet Protocol version 4 (IPv4) and Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) for IP addresses. When you configure with Ipv6 or Ipv4 in the IP address list,
components automatically recognize the existence of IPv6 ,Ipv4. For example, if the server computer has both IPv4 and IPv6, its hostname or FQDN will be resolved into multiple IP addresses, including at least one IPv4 address and multiple IPv6 addresses. SQL
Server Native Client attempts to establish connections using these IP addresses in the order received from TCP/IP and uses the first connection that succeeds. Because the order cannot be predicted by SQL Server Native Client, this should be regarded
as random order. IPv4 addresses are attempted first if both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses are present.
I recommend you use dynamic IP address for your multiple different version instance.
