    Hi,
    The reason why you are seeing this exception is because there is a mismatch between the version of the WLPM API used by the portlets, with the version of the service that you have installed on you Domino server.
    To explain a little, there are two sides to the API that is used to communicate with Lotus Domino:
    1) the Java API side (used by the portlets that you have installed in the portal)
    2) the Domino Service side (installed as a DSAPI filter in the HTTP task of a Domino Server)
    Each Java API jar and Domino Service Executable are branded with a version number, which in your case does not match because the portlets came with one version of the Java API, and you have installed a non-matching version of the service on the Domino Service side (you probably extracted the executable for the service installation from the "BEA Personal Messaging API 4.3" bundle or installer).
    The solution for this is to:
    1) uninstall the Domino Service that you have plugged into the domino service
    2) extract the Domino Service installer which was included with the portlet bundle. This is located in the "Program Files\compoze\groupware_portlets_bea-2.5\8.1\service\domino" directory if you ran the portlet installer, or in the "groupware_portlets_bea81-noinstall-25\groupware_portlets_bea-2.5\8.1\service\domino" directory if you used the "no-install" zip file.
    As a tip, to quickly check whether the versions of the service and Java API’s that you are using are matching, perform the following steps:
    1) hit the domino server with the following URL and notice the "service version": http://domino_service_url:http_port/compoze.czdo. This should be something like "Service Version: 3.6.102"
    2)in your portal application (or in the portlet install bundle), open the harmony_portlets.jar file with winzip, then find the "compoze_products_information.properties" file. In this file, notice the "product.domino" version (e.g. product.domino = 3.6.102)
    3) the two versions you have inspected must match in order for the connection between the portlet and service to succeed.
    If you have verified that the "service" version and "java API" version (located in %portal_app_dir%/APP-INF/lib/harmony_portlets.jar, and you are still getting the exception, it is likely that there is a "harmony_portlets.jar" that included an old version of the Java API located somewhere in the portal server classpath. In this case, make sure that the only harmony_portlets.jar in the classpath is the one that was included with the portlet bundle that you have installed.

  • Does InDesign CS6 projects integrate with InDesign CC?

    I have one user that has InDesign CS6 and we looking at doing the subscription for InDesign CC for another user. If InDesign CS6 creates a project, can InDesign CC open, edit, and save  this project and visa versa?
    Thank you

    If you buy a subscription you can also install CS6, and that's waht you should be suing for collaboration with users who have CS6. CC can open CS6 files, but going the other direction requires export to .idml and there may be differences after the conversion.

  • Porting a netui pageflow project from BEA Workshop into JDeveloper 11g

    Hi.
    Now that BEA and Oracle has merged and JDeveloper ships with Weblogic server instead of ye olde oc4j, I thought that netui pageflow projects developed in BEA Workshop/Workspace studio would be a breeze to port to JDev. This does not seem to be the case. I've googled til my eyes got sore, without any luck. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Beehive Netui package was once developed by BEA, then given to Apache, then taken back into BEA's control. When I read that JDeveloper should be the IDE for BEA/Oracle from now on, I thought that this would mean that it would also be compatible with BEA projects.
    If it is at all possible, how do I go about porting my Hibernate/Spring/Beehive NetUi PageFlow workshop project to run under JDeveloper/Weblogic?
    I've found this article: http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/howtos/1013/w4wljdev/workshopandjdev.html?rssid=rss_otn_news
    But still no luck enabling Beehive Netui support for my pageflows in JDeveloper.
    Edited by: Øystein_Amundsen on Oct 31, 2008 12:57 PM

    There is no current plan to enable Beehive (e.g. NetUI) specific features in JDeveloper.
    The beehive development environment is still inside WebLogic Workshop and you can get the latest version here:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/workshop/index.html
    It might be possible to do development with Beehive in JDeveloper by adding the beehive jar files into your project properties->libraries node.
    That said - I would recommend that you look into Oracle ADF as an alternative framework for your development - it has a lot of similar concepts to Beehive but it is more up-to-date and has better features in many areas.
    Read more about it here:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/11/collateral/beehivetoadf.pdf

  • Problem with the creation of the _pageflow folder in the portal project

    Hi,
    I have developed one portal project on the BEA Weblogic Portal server version 9.2. And I am having a quite a number of pageflow portlets in my application.I am facing a weird problem with the workshop(BEA Workshop for Weblogic Platform 9.2.1). It is not generating the folder _pageflow required for all the protlets when we build it.I tried cleaning and building it number of times but it is of no use.
    Is it a bug in the weblogic server version or do I really miss something in the workshop settings?
    Please help.
    Thanks & Regards
    Prakash.

    Hi Dmitry,
    What state are the tasks in?  Are they in Active, Running, or Completed?  There will only be output files if the tasks are in state running or completed.
    Additionally, what is the status of the pool which the tasks ran on?  If the pool VMs have been deallocated (or the pool itself has been deleted) then the task files will be lost.  This is because the files of the tasks reside on the VM which ran
    the task.
    Lastly, you can check the file retention time of the tasks in the BatchExplorer UI by selecting the task and looking in the "Task Details" tab for "TaskConstriants.RetentionTime" to see what that is set to - if the retention time has
    passed (i.e. retention time was 1h but the task was run 2h ago), then the files will be cleaned up.
    It sounds like you already are using BatchExplorer, but we recently published a blog post which has some specific instructions for using BatchExplorer to debug (how to RDP into a VM for example), which you can find
    here - it also has some code snippets for how BatchExplorer performs the operations that it does.
    Let us know what you find from your investigation and we can help you figure out why your tasks don't have output files.

  • Creating a Dynamic Web Project from existing source?

    I don't see this option in OEPE like there is in Workshop for Weblogic. All I can choose from is "Create Dynamic Web Project" which creates a new project from scratch, or "Create Java Project" which has an option in the wizard to import existing source.. however this makes it a vanilla Java project instead of a Dynamic web project.
    Did the concept of importing existing code into a project not cross anyone's minds when this plugin was developed? It's as if the expectation was that everyone would use this on their own private projects and there would be no collaborative/parallel development.
    What is the recommended way for creating a Dynamic Web project off of existing source code without stomping all over the existing web.xml weblogic.xml?

    There are many "import" scenarios, so let's break them down and lay out the support expectations:
    1. A java ee project created with base Eclipse using Web Tools Platform project types. This scenario includes both the case where the project creator had OEPE installed as well as the case where there was no OEPE installed. In this case, one should use the import existing projects wizard as the project being included already has metadata that can be read directly.
    2. A java ee project created with a non-Eclipse IDE or perhaps completely by hand with rudimentary tools such as notepad. Currently, the way this case is supported is by creating new projects and copying application source into them. Advanced users may be able to configure support in place, but we cannot support users with this approach as the possibility of corruption is high. We are currently working on a set of wizards that will help automate this case. These wizards will be available in the release of OEPE that's slated to ship around the end of 2009 or early 2010.
    3. A project created with BEA Workshop. This case is not supported as there are a number of technologies in Workshop that have been end-of-lifed (such as Apache Beehive). Users with Workshop applications should stay with Workshop until they are able to remove dependencies on end-of-lifed technologies. At that point moving to OEPE is recommended. Unofficially (this option is not supported but may work), advanced users may be able to migrate a Workshop app to OEPE, by stripping out all Workshop metadata (.project, .classpath, .settings, etc.) and by pretending that this is scenario #2 (import of a non-Eclipse application). Don't try this if your application still have dependencies on end-of-lifed technologies.

  • SAP or Oracle Projects or Niku???

    SAP has this industry applications for a Homebuilder. I am a consultant for a big low income housing outfit and we want to integrate everything.
    Niku has a good ASP model for projects.
    What would be the advantages of Oracle..
    Anyone?
    Thanks!!!

    Oracle Projects is fully integrated e-business solution and in R11i has improved quite considerably. Many project driven clients often struggle to accurately measure project performance because they use lots of spreadsheets and guesswork to collate all project related data. Oracle projects integrates with all core financials products and therefore you will capture all costs and be able to drive billing. The module is very flexible. There have been more additions to the module which makes it more complete. However it really depends on the size of the operation that you are implementing. I've not seen the SAP model and the number of clients that have Oracle projects are extremely happy. Its quite a new concept eventhough they would perform project accounting activities in finance. There is ownership responsibility on the project manager. Projects becomes the hub of the business.If there is anything specific you want to know then please feel free to contact me and I will try to get back to you.

  • How to resolve BEA KODO license on WebLogic Server

    Using BEA Workshop Studio 3.2 you can create Kodo provided JPA project. As part of the project creation the BEA Kodo license (license.bea) file is included within Project/src folder, so that it is available in the classpath. While running the project on WebLogic server you might face license error "kodo.persistence.PersistenceException: No product license key was found..."
    The fix for this issue is to merge the kodo license.bea content into WebLogic server license.bea file.
    Edit WebLogic-server-Home\license.bea file
    Edit Project\src\license.bea file, copy the content <license-group.. > .. </license-group> and paste inside WebLogic-server-Home\license.bea file NOTE: Paste the kodo license content within enclosing <bea-licenses> ... </bea-licenses> but outside of <license-group format="1.0" product="WebLogic Platform" release="xx"> tag.
    With this you should be able to run the kodo project on WebLogic server.

  • "Problem Opening Wizard" exception when trying to create new CEP project

    Hi,
    I am using Eclipse 3.5, get this error when I do File -> New Project -> OCEP Application Project. The error details says:
    The selected wizard could not be started.
    Plug-in "com.bea.wlevs.eclipse.tools.ui" was unable to instantiate class "com.bea.wlevs.eclipse.tools.ui.internal.wiz.project.NewOCEPProjectWizard".
    com/bea/wlevs/eclipse/tools/core/internal/Activator
    I was previously able to install the "OCEP Plugins for 3.5" without any problems.
    I noticed that the default eclipse.ini file is pointing to JDK 1.5, whereas the installation pages say we need to use JDK6. I did try tweaking the ini file to point to JDK 6, but got the same error.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Rahul

    Rahul,
    Please confirm that you have edited the eclipse.ini file according to this:
    http://wiki.eclipse.org/Eclipse.ini
    The formatting is picky, so be sure you got it right. The OCEP plugins definitely won't load correctly unless Eclipse is running on a 1.6 JVM. You can confirm which version of the JVM Eclipse is running on by going to Help > About Eclipse > Installation Details, clicking on the Configuration tab, and looking for this: java.runtime.version
    My suspicion is that you're still not running on a 1.6 JVM.
    If you're sure you are running on a 1.6 JVM and you're still seeing the problem, can you send me the .log file in <workspace-dir>/.metadata/? I'll need to find out more information about what's going wrong.
    Thanks!
    Thomas

  • TransactionConflictException during ant osb project export

    Hey,
    I am getting more and more failed ant exports of osb projects.
    Searching on com.bea.wli.config.transaction.TransactionConflictException doesnt give any hits whatsoever, i suspect however something is going wrong with the eclipse workspace or something.
    It is running on a dedicated machine so workspace being locked or something. Even fetching deleting the workspace and pulling anew from the SVN doesn't resolve this.

    OK, so I've done as you suggested:
    Created a dynamic web project (Test), and compared its .settings contents with the contents of my existing project (IrisApp).

    Eclipse also seems to create the following directory which is mentioned in one of the above configs, so I've manually added this directory to the root of IrisApp project: /.apt_src. It's empty.
    I noticed that Eclipse created several directories once the project in cleaned (I guess, as those directories were not in svn when I get my copy): WebContent with some -INF subdirectories and metafiles in them. So I just removed this structure.
    As for WebLogic.jar in my classpath you mentioned, I need that for the project to compile, there are some HttpServletRequest's etc.
    I've also added WLS 9.2 'Targeted Runtime' to IrisApp which seemed to have created an additional directory in the workspace with the following structure and contents:
    1. .project file
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <projectDescription>
         <name>Servers</name>
         <comment></comment>
         <projects>
         </projects>
         <buildSpec>
         </buildSpec>
         <natures>
         </natures>
    </projectDescription>
    2. BEA WebLogic Server v9.2 at localhost.server file
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <server IGNORE_COMPILER_ERRORS="false" auto-publish-setting="2" auto-publish-time="15" hostname="localhost" id="BEA WebLogic Server v9.2 at localhost" name="BEA WebLogic Server v9.2 at localhost" runtime-id="BEA WebLogic Server v9.2" server-type="com.bea.wlw.server92" server-type-id="com.bea.wlw.server92" start-timeout="3480" stop-timeout="240" timestamp="22" weblogic_domain_path="C:\CDE\user_projects\domains\MyDomain" weblogic_host_name="localhost" weblogic_is_remote="false" weblogic_port="7001" weblogic_use_bootprop="true" weblogic_use_config_xml="true">
    <list key="modules" value0="IrisApp::org.eclipse.jst.j2ee.server:IrisApp::jst.web::2.4"/>
    </server>
    3. .settings directory
    with the following file in it:
    3a. org.eclipse.wst.server.core.prefs file:
    #Mon Sep 14 12:45:04 EDT 2009
    org.eclipse.wst.server.core.isServerProject=true
    eclipse.preferences.version=1
    So, with the above setup, I'm now trying to deploy it to WLS and getting the following exception:
    <Sep 14, 2009 4:52:00 PM EDT> <Error> <HTTP> <BEA-101163> <Could not load user defined listener: com.citi.gdos.smart.app.listener.SmartContextLoaderListener

    I can see spring.jar on my classpath so I'm not sure what it's complaining about.
    The team hear is using MyEclipse with all the configurations cheched into Subversion but there's no more licenses so I need to configure Eclipse to achieve the same task. It would help if you could point me to some documentation as to what's happenning internally as I'm sure I'll get lots of questions from other developers later once it's all configured. Please let me know if I need to share any additional info for you to be able to help.
    Could you please point me in the right direction?
    Thank you very much!
    Simeon
