MSI N770 TF 2GD5/OC Gaming Voltage Unlock

As of late, I was pretty upset with the MSI GTX 770 2GB OC Gaming video card. Actually, I've been very displeased with NVIDIA's hardware and they're interference by demanding unlocked video cards be sold at a premium. I probably should have just waited, but I needed something sooner because I sold my previous cards on Ebay. I've been trying to search for a way to unlock the voltage in MSI Afterburner. I'm not sure what other people have tried, but this worked for me.
If there's a lot of people not able to do this and post there comments, I'll write a "How To Guide" here. For now, read the comments from this this video, then watch the video and follow the steps taken.
Right now I'm at a hospital. When I get home, I'm gonna try experimenting more. There are some other methods I read about and I'll see if they're easier and post them. I also want to see if I can unlock MSI Afterburner's Triple Voltages that were marked for Special Editions. I may have to flash my GTX 770 to a GTX 680 Lightning, which is basically what the MSI GTX 770 OC Gaming card is. I can then use a utility to change the clock values to that of the GTX 770. The both have the same RAM, SPUs, TAUs, and ROUs. So theoretically, it should be possible. I can also change the Wattage for the card as well. If everything works out, I'm gonna post the tweaked BIOS for the GTX 770 to GTX 680 with the GTX 770 clocks and power.

Since this thread got moved, I can't edit the original post here. If a moderator wants, he's more than welcome to copy this post and replace it with the original text and then delete this post. If not, so be it. Previously I've only seen special edition cards like the Lightning with unlocked voltage. Some special cards have an Auto shown in the voltage slider in MSI Afterburner. Most video cards will not have this Auto feature, which I think is different from the default slider placed at 0. So you wont see the Auto until you follow the steps to unlock the voltage.
Everything in this section and trying these steps in the following video might void your warranty and/or can end with a dead product. One should be aware that trying comes at your own risk.
Go to the actual Youtube page instead of watching the video from here and read the 1st comment I wrote for additional instructions and download links. Then follow the steps taken in the video.

  • N770 TF 2GD5/OC Gaming black screen blinking problem

    Hello there,
i upgraded my PC 4 days ago with a MSI N770 TF 2GD5/OC Gaming graphic card. I installed the newest graphic drivers. Clean install and without nVidia Experience. My problem is black screen blinking when i am playing or watching. Screen turns to black for 1-5 seconds like monitor lost its signal. It happening when i click to fullscreen button. No matter if its in youtube or windows. It happening every time. It does the same when i am playing. Big lag and then black screen blinking for 10 sec. Sometimes more sometimes less than 10 sec. I used Google and i am not the only one, who have this problem. Some people says, that GPU BIOS flash helped but in MSI website is only one BIOS and i dont know if its newer than mine or not. S/N of my card is 602-V282-380B1404100829 (if it helps) and my current bios is here h t t p ://leteckaposta.cz/186979270 (just click on the GK104.rom in the middle).  I think i tried almost everything. Registry clean, anti malware and spyware, drivers re-install, turn W Aero Off, UAC off and other worthless tips how to fix this issue. I monitored my PC with many temperature software and i am 100% sure, that overheating isnt the problem. So could you please check if the MSI Bios is newer than mine or tell me what to do to fix this irritating problem?
    Thank you very much
PS: I am not a native speaker and english is my 3rd language tbh, so please excuse any grammar mistakes

you are using latest vbios version, test the card in another PC

  • MSI N770 TF 2GD5/OC not working system cannot find it to install the drivers

have just built a new gaming rig and used the MSI Z97 gaming 9 and the MSI N770 TF 2GD5/OC i set up the pc turned it on without the graphics installed and installed all the mother board drivers and then updated them all using live update 6.
then when i added the graphics card and powered it back on the fans spin on it but when i got to install the drivers it says failed to find the hardware so the computer doesn't know its there
have reset pc and changes slots but nothing seems to work every now and then it will load up and i use it for 5 mins then the screen loses its data and the mouse and keyboard lock up till i go back to using the on board HDMI port
has any body encountered this if so how do i fix it

What was updated with Live Update?
Did you try clearing CMOS? >>Clear CMOS Guide<<
What is the actual Power supply? As EVGA 750B is not enough info, though I guess it's powerful enough to power gtx770.
    Tried with single RAM stick?
Also try with motherboard outside of the case.

  • MSI N770 TF 2GD5/OC GOP / UEFI Vbios request

Hello. I'd like GOP / UEFI Vbios for my N770 TF 2GD5/OC - MSI GEFORCE GTX770 TWIN FROZR 2GB.
    Serial number:
    602-V282-28SB1308026954
Link to current ROM (uploaded to Dropbox):
    https
    ://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/18800395/GK104.rom
(I'm not allowed to post links)
I will use it on Asus Z87-PRO motherboard.
    Thank you in advance,
    Blaz

    Thank you!
The included FLASH.CMD did not function for some reason (quickly flashes the cmd window and closes it), but after running nvflash with the same option as in the file in elevated CMD everything went smoothly, GPU-Z reported new flash file, and most importantly, UEFI now does the proper fast boot.

  • MSI N770 TF 2GD5/OC

    Hi,
i've recently purchased the new graphic card GTX 770.
My issue is, i've recently updated my nvidia driver. and on the CD it has (MSI APP + Afterburner..)
my question is: Most the app Standing if i play alot of games on (GAMING MODE)?
my second question is: In the afterburner you see alot my question is going for the "FANSPEED" it says its on 34. But when i activate AUTO*  And close the Program. And restart it. The auto is again off..
The graphic card is getting hot if i play Battlefield 3.. (it goes up around 55-65 sometimes 70.... (and the fanspeed still stays on 34 even when it's AUTO?
has it something to do with the Gaming mode by MSI APP ? or..
    My regards,

Hard to understand what you are trying to ask.
Gaming Mode will allow maximum boost clockrate so switching to Gaming Mode in the app is suggested when wanting to play.
It will display the current fanspeed when set to auto. As you card is cool like a dream it obviously doesn't have to speed up. Your card is NOT getting hot. Temps around 70°C are very low. Reference cards would run at 85 - 88°C or more.
