MSI product is poor!

My CD burner is MSI 8348A, it doesn't work properly always and waste my time on
re-burn any disc that destroyed by it.
It will generate "No seek complete" error when burning high speed CDR, with
high writing speed. Some times, it will ruin the CDR. I don't know why the 48x
writhing speed burner can't burn with fast CDR with speed greater than 16x.
The reading ablity of this drive is very poor. It always slow down and spin a lot
for reading CDs. Many famous band name 4x CDRW such as Sony, Imation,
Verbitim etc have this problem on the drive. Some times, it do not perform its
normal reading speed 48x for a CDR. Once, I tried to install a game, at the middle
stage, it suddendly slow down and spin infinely. The installation hangs and wait
for the data read from the CD. However, it seems that it had diffcultly to do this,
the install bar show that the reading speed is 0.1x. I was wonder at the result. I
can't believe tha a 48x reading speed CDR when reading a fast CDR(2x-40x)
will have this result. It wastes me about 1 hour and 30 minutes on this installation
but with incomplete installation. It force me to terminate the installation and use
the other external USB CDRW to do this. This CDRW have a reading speed 6x.
It works fine and continusoly reading the CD without any problem. The reading
speed reflect by the installer is 4.6 to 5.6x. It just used 30 min. to finsih the
installation.
It has problem on reading UDF disc by the other burner. It can treat a closed
session CDR with UDF format as a blank CD.
It can't format CDRW by InCD 4.0 or DirectCD 5.0.  It always has problem when
format complete. The formatted disc is always unusable with bad file system.
Also, when a disc formatted from incd by the other drive placed to
msi8348a and writing any file to it, it corrupted the file system of the disc
and made it unmountable. All the content of the disc can't be read again by any
drives.
The eject button can't eject disc after writing by InCD 4. Pressing ten times or
more still no response. Eject by software is needed.
The Burn-proof feature just is a name ot it but it actually does not exist. This
feature is used to prevent the CD writer to ruin the disc with buffer under run.
However, it always ruin disc and casue "No Seek Complete error" at burning
stage.
My other 4x CD writer never ruin disc by any bugs or unexpeected event even
if burn-proof does not exist on this drive.
I have upgraded to the last firmware 160D from the web site. However, no
improvement has been made to solve the above problem. I just see that the firmware version is 160D. All of above problem still exist. I can't see any
compatitability of UDF file system and fast CDR of this firmware which metioned by
MSI. All the problem exists as before.
It is doesn't know why MSI can gain the certificate from Microsoft. The technology
of its burner is very poor and the customer support is extremly poor.
With the above painful experience, it is not recommand that the new user to try
any MSI product!

Quote
As for the drive, it looks to me you have a faulty one, just get it replaced.
I use those drive's all the time and never had any problems with them.
You are lucky with that. MSI 48x16x48x is the one already replaced
from the dealer.
Previously, I had another MSI CDRW drive which was MSI 40x12x48x CDRW. It
works just for four months. It can burn CDR at 32x without problems.
However, it dead and can't read disc any more.
It was returned for maintainace. The maintaince period is long. I always
needs to call the dealer to check that they had finished.
Two months later, the dealer told me MSI 40x12x48x CDRW was stopped selling
at the market, MSI will not make such replacement. If I want to replace it,
I needed to give extra money to upgrade to MSI 48x16x48x.
I agreed of that and brought MSI 48x16x48x home.
Then, I use it to burn a CDR with 32x. Unforturnately, it slow down at
about 20% and spins serval seconds and nero return "No seek complete" error.
It ruins the disc at the first time when I use it.
I contact the dealer again, they just recommand me to try the other disc
and reduce the burning speed. They know that it was the "Common Problem"
of this product.
Next, I send a email to the support of MSI to report the problem and ask
them if it was misused. However, they do not give me any respones. I send
my email again a month later. I do not get any replies yet till now.
Until I discover this newsgroup, I know that many people share the same
problem that I have, this means that it is the fault of their product.
No matter how poor their product was, MSI should at least give any
respones to any email or reply on the newsgroup for the technical support.
They should care about the needs of their customer. They said they hear
to anyone but I can't see what action they had done yet. Many problems
still get no answer from MSI on the newsgroup. No more suitable fix/firmware
upgrade for the user. Lack of documentation/discription of the usage
of the upgrade file. The users just get the answer from another user.
If you have the same experience, would you have confidence to try their
product again?

  • Advantages of buying MSI products

    Hi people. I just wanna seek some help here for my Social subject project. I hope someone can list down 5 good advantages of buying MSI products. Thank you!

    You need to go a lot more narrow.
    Even as someone who likes the brand, I wouldn't necessarily try to advertise "MSI products" as a whole-- I'd say something like "The 990FXA-GD80 is $50 less than the Asus Sabretooth 990FX, but still has these specific features people would want" or "Unlike many comparable boards, the Z87-GD65 includes S/PDIF out so you can connect it to a quality speaker system."
    Or, you could always go the silly approach.  "MSI boards have a dragon on the box.  ASRock ones have a washed-up progamer from six hundred years ago who sells his name to anyone who will bid.  Dragons are cooler, so buy MSI."

  • Other MSI Products - before posting, please read

    Hi there!
    This forum is where you can find help for all the other little devices that MSI produces that don't have a home elsewhere in this forum.
    These devices include MegaPlayer, MegaStick and MegaView MP3 / Portable Media Players, and MSI's communication devices, such as Bluetooth dongles and Wireless LAN routers & cards as well as StarCam, MegaCache, PocketDTV etc.
    Before posting your question, read the Forum Rules, and use the button to see if your question has been answered already. But please don't hijack old dead threads, start your own new topic, giving as much information as you can, as well as what you have tried already. Posting to a two year old thread saying "i have same problem, did you ever fix it??" won't help at all. Read any stickies that have been posted here already, they may contain valuable information to solve your problem.
    Have you read the manual? The manual supplied with your product is usually just a multi-language Quick Guide. Look on MSI's Product Support Pages (http://global.msi.com.tw/index.php?func=prodindex). You can find updated complete manuals, which will usually contain more information than the one supplied in the box. You would be surprised how many questions posted here can be answered just by looking in the manual! You can also find the latest drivers and firmware there, as well as popular FAQs.
    If your problem is related to using your device with your PC, then please post full system specs, in case your problem is actually caused by your PC.
    There's a good possibility that as this is a user-to-user forum, and no-one from MSI visits here, there are no answers yet, or nobody is able to help you yet. In that case, your best option is to contact MSI Support themselves, and see if they can help you with your problem.
    Find MSI Support links here: https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=107326.0
    Please note, that when contacting MSI Support, you should describe the problem as clearly as you would here, and give as much background information as you can. If you write to them "my MegaStick doesn't work, what can i do", then don't complain if you get a stock generic reply back from them .
    Please, if you get an answer from MSI that solves your problem, or helps you to fix the problem yourself, join the helper's club here and post your solution, so that others can benefit from your wisdom!
    Thank you, and good luck!

    sorry, think i must have slipped on something

  • Cheaply manufactured product and poor quality assurance

    Where do i start with this falsely advertised "entertainment machine" HP calls the HDX 18T Premium Laptop.
    A month into purchase, the case of this laptop is bulging at certain areas (top of the screen which is collecting dust and overheating, and the fingerprint scanner / sound card area, causing me to have to push it down in order to hear out of the speakers or headphones). Even when the sound does work, the quality is horrible. Think of your favorite song or movie playing and in the background the sound of nails scratching on a chalkboard.  All the rubber stoppers have fell off because of cheap glue (leaving glue stains), the battery doesn't even last 30 minutes when the laptop is idle and now the charger is dead. Did i mention i payed $1,300 for all of these problems? Thank god i had a discount code or i would of paid $1,500 to get this rectangular piece of plastic.
    Ive contacted HP Total Waste of Time 3 times and spoke to numerous people over the phone and email. The information, troubleshooting, and resolutions i was presented with were as helpful as a chocolate teapot.
    All of these problems are due to cheap manufacturing and poor quality assurance on HPs part. These problems don't warrant a repair, but an exchange if not a refund for the amount i spent on this laptop and the numerous problems ive encountered with it.
    My last conversation over the phone with my case manager (sadly i didn't get his name) just toped my whole sour experience with HP regarding this laptop. Ive been a long time HP customer, buying 4 HP G60s and this HP laptop just last year alone and forwarded many people to HP. Saving $1000 and losing a long time customer is in the better interest of HP than exchanging a cheaply and poorly made product with countless problems. At least thats what your representatives have told me.
    No wounder HP took this laptop off their website only a couple months after it first shipped.

    My experience with HP is very annoying.
    My DV6 laptop had a broken right hinge and a loose mouse left click button. I sent it for repair and I got an email saying that the damage is not covered by the warranty, reason being... it was a damage due to accident or misuse. That really pissed me off. The notebook was never in an accident. About misuse, how can you misuse a mouse left click button and a hinge. The reason why the hinge broke was, it was set too tight. You need to apply more than a reasonable force to open it. I use Dell computer at work, never I had this problem. In fact my Dell laptop at work is one year older than this one.
    What makes the situation worse is the way the call center in India handled it. I called on a Saturday to find out the status of my laptop. The guy mention that it wasn't repaired for the stated reason. I asked for someone who has more authority so that I could appeal my case. He told me to call the following  Monday during office hours so that I can talk to a case manager. I called Monday, talk to a regular call center representative and requested to talk to a case manager. I was immediately informed that...that was the decision of the case manager. I told the rep to send it back immediately. I have no patience banging heads with a company who blames customers for the failure of their product. Yes, HP saved $292. Guess what, I will never buy HP product again.  Also, I will share my HP experience with my friends in Facebook, Tweeter etc. I know how this big companies think, we are just one of their thousands customers.

  • Msi Product Registration

    I've just purchased two MsI GTX 580 Lightning Xtreme cards. I am very happy with them. My question is, do I have to register the product to obtain the 3 year warranty? Thank you.

    Quote from: Rocco_Siffredi on 03-November-11, 03:21:57
    I don't think so. The card comes , when you buy it with a guaranty certificate aside the bill (the proof you paid for the goods). In it, it says how many years you are covered. If a card is a good brand and good quality, the guaranty is higher (in years). Haven't you ever bought a pc product before ? Your question is ...strange.
    Yes I have bought PC stuff before. The reason i ask is, if you buy a graphics card with EVGA, and register the card you get a life time warranty. IF you don't register the card, you get 1 year warranty. See how huge that is? I was wondering if MSI is similar. I'm trying to protect my investment.

  • MSI z77 MPOWER Poor GPU Benchmarks!! HELP?

    I just installed my MSI Z77 MPOWER yesterday.
    Specs
    Case - NZXT Switch 810 White
    Power supply - Corsair TX750m
    Motherboard -MSI Z77 MPOWER
    CPU - Intel -5 2500k
    CPU Cooler - Corsair h80i (Love this thing.)
    Memory - Mushkin 16gb Blackline
    SSD - 2x 128gb Sandisk Extreme
    Storeage - WD Caviar Black 1TB
    Graphics Card - GTX670 Galaxy 1062Boost - 6368 Memory Clock
    Fans - 4 Corsair sp120's (I Hate them, so im buying noctua)
    NZXT 140's
    OS 1 Windows 7 Ultimate
    OS 2 Mac OSX Mountain Lion 10.8.2 Full Video, Audio, Ethernet Support, Still working on usb3.0 its been giving me a hard time.
    Now i love this board. Probably the best motherboard of 2012 hands down. Now my only gripe is im getting poor performance with unigine heaven. I have not tried other benchmarks besides geekbench and thats cpu related. Now my previous mobo was the p67 fatality performance, which was an ok mobo, i had some issues hense the new Mpower. I was gettting 1500-1600 points on heaven with everything maxed out @1920x1080p on the asrock fatality board. I have an effective stable cpu overclock of 4.4ghz and im not going further, i dont need to, my current gpu specs are above. with the msi moard im getting 1100 and thats putting lightly, one time i got 900. Now what do you suppose my issue is? I seen an option in bios settings>PCI subsystem settings> PCI BUS clocks are at 32, Is that the preferred clock for that, or is any of the other options like 248 bus clocks? Im not familiar with this bios setting as i didnt have this in my last board? I need input on this issue.

    I usually set mine at 64, but unless you have other add-in cards, I don't think that setting makes much difference.

  • X99S and M and X Power boards on MSI Products Site, mistake me thinks

    Well was browsing through all the mobo big boys to see if any had the X99 chipset boards and to my surprise when I browsed on MSI 1st this morning at about 9am GMT the whole range of boards for socket 2011-3 were on show including the gaming range and OC boards. So had a great look at the specs and found myself drooling over the beauty of these new beauties. Unfortunately I decided to look at the other major Motherboard manufacturers to see what they had and apart from Asrock and one other the boards seem to be pretty much under wraps apart from some teaser pics. After looking around came back to MSI to have another drool and pick which board I will be getting my hands on to replace the beast Z87-GD65 I was devestated to find all the X99 boards off the site, so in my opinion someones for the chopping block I assume or a major up was made by putting the boards up on show in the products pages. Ah well at least I can say I got a great sneak preview of whats around the corner and I assure you they are beautiful and full of everything spec wise you would expect from MSI at the top of their game. Feel sorry for whomever was responsible hope they dont get chewed out too much

    Indeed these are nice, and compared to others, has full spec around. I don't think it's mistake, as it wouldn't happen twice (Xpower and Gaming). Thanks for a notice,  I didn't really bother looking around these all the time ^^ But I did notice on some retail websites they have DDR4 preorders together with X99 boards (preorder too). Prices are ... ok... Not for me
    Also MSI has already mentioned these on their FB page, so no mistakes happen.

  • Msi 6970 Lighting poor Gpu frecv...

    Dennis Msi thanks for reply.
    U said  i bouht one non Oc card,but on the sellers sites and MSi site there is no information about non Oc card at 880 mhz.I see nowhere one MSi lighting clocked at 880.If i clocked my card at 940 mhz, and put voltage at 1750  ,in every video aplication that card falling.Maybe i need wait for one bios update or what ?
    It looks like you are correct that the MSI website does not show the non-OC clockspeeds for the R6970 Lightning, I'll report this right away!
    Also, Voltage at 1750 seems really high, are you sure this is correct?

  • MSI product registration/GTX 970 4G problems

    I'm trying to register my gtx 970 4G, every time I click next after step 2 a white blank screen appears and the website wont let me proceed.

I tried Lowering the graphic settings for the high demanding games like GTA and Farcry but it still crashes!

  • Modifying MSI Product Version Programmatically

    Hello,
    I am in urgent need of a solution towards something that should hopefully be fairly simple - updating an MSI property. We have a number of WiX projects which are source controlled in TFS 2012 and we generate their related MSIs
    for deployment through TeamCity build configurations which generally build the required *.wixproj files.
    Updating the MSI property in TFS/Visual Studio isn't an option to be pursued at all, as we need to confine our change to TeamCity, due to how our entire Continuous Integration and deployment process is currently set up.
    What I wish to therefore implement is a solution where I can run a script or command to update the required MSI property after it's been created. I will welcome a solution using any script or command from Powershell, Perl, VBScript, Windows Batch
    script, etc, etc, as this will be set up as a final TeamCity build step to modify the created MSI. I have come across
    Thank you

    H Rene,
    Thanks ever so much for your contribution.
    I initially picked up on this WiRunSQL.vbs solution too from a contributor on the CodeProject website, but unfortunately he failed to attach a copy of the script (as suggested in his post) and also failed to give explicit details
    on how it could be obtained or set up.
    For instance, it would have been good to know where the WiRunSQL.vbs script was located for a start.
    After some  further digging around, I found out it came as part of the Windows SDK for Windows 7 and .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 download. This therefore prompted a couple of questions:
    1) Will this be compatible with other .NET versions such as 4.0, 4.5, which is the case in our situation?
    2) Does this solution require the Windows SDK to be installed on each of our target servers? This could be problematic for us as we have dozens of servers to deal with.
    Due mainly to the above reasons, I opted for another VBScript solution which has so far worked a charm. I will share this solution when I have access to it again at work after this weekend.

  • A product of poor university education

    I have taken a JSP class at my college, but obviously they didnt teach me well enough. I cant seem to figure out why this wont work. It is being called from an outside JSP file and I need the variable "type" to be returned to the JSP file.
    public String getUserType() {
         try {
              String query2 = "SELECT User_Type FROM Users WHERE Name='"+Login+"'";
              rs = stm.executeQuery(query2);
              type = rs.getString("User_Type");
              return type;
         catch(Exception e) { return "you suck";
    I know the query is working fine, but I keep getting the exception return statement instead of the good one. The variable "Login" is also tested fine and is obtaining a correct value. If I change the code to this, it works fine, but obviously not much help as I need to return the variable "type".
    public String getUserType() {
         try {
              String query2 = "SELECT User_Type FROM Users WHERE Name='"+Login+"'";
              return Login;
         catch(Exception e) { return "you suck";
    }

    print the stack trace on the exception to check the error.
    Also try:
    public String getUserType() {
    try {
    String query2 = "SELECT User_Type FROM Users WHERE Name='"+Login+"'";
    rs = stm.executeQuery(query2);
    rs.next();
    type = rs.getString("User_Type");
    return type;
    catch(Exception e) {
    e.printStackTrace();
    return "you suck";
    }

  • MSi website support not working - poor service!

    MSi website support is not working.  Everytime I try to contact them using the support tickets I get a garbled message on screen and once you click the OK button it clears your ticket with nothing posted.
    It's a very poor way for a company supposed to be a BIG company showing support to its customers.
    You can't telephone them, cannot now use the ticket support, and can only HOPE someone from their technical department reads THIS.
    I sent them an email about it and I'm just waiting to hear from them.
    It makes me want to change to ASUS in future!

    Ok I'll try to remain calm as I've just received a warning about "bashing" MSi.
    I'll include the screenshot again for your attention.  At least the moderators here are reviewing the situation it seems, which, on a large forum, I didn't think would be noticed.
    After going through advice of how to update my BIOS with their technical help on the website I flashed my MSi Z68A-GD65 (B3) successfully to version 22.8.  It was playing up before that on the orginal BIOS, slowing down in Windows, not recognizing various USB devices, and I had a Primary BIOS led flashing which meant it had failed on the mobo so the computer wasn't coming out of 'sleep'  very good (I just left it on all the time instead).
    22.8 made it seem to be at it's best then I contacted them on which update next; they said P.1.  Unlike the previous one which I flashed inside the BIOS using M-flash, this had to be done in DOS which I did.
    I saw a brief message which I think said updating should not be done while it is overclocked (I had the OC button on) but other than that it went through and said update was "successful".  That was the last message my machine made.
    It is now in a constant 'boot loop' which lasts about 10 seconds, not enough time to interrupt or use a boot device, and just cycles switching off to booting then switching off, etc.
    I've seen many cases of this and it must be a common problem, as I did everything as instructed and still it went wrong.
    After lots of communication MSi UK agreed to inform the service department for a RMA to be sent to me, even though it was out-of-warranty.  Then they closed the ticket.  I opened a new ticket asking why they closed the ticket and I still had not received any RMA, they told me not to worry the RMA will be coming, then closed that ticket.
    After waiting 10 days I tried to use the website form again filling out all the criteria on the form and instead I get this garbled writing with the OK button as I mentioned, which just sends you back to the home page with nothing updated.
    So I am really frustrated at this point, unable to phone MSi (they won't talk to you), use the website (in UK) and have had to explain everything through an email correspondence, hence my lack of patience on this forum.
    For years I put my faith in MSi products, I have a Nvidia graphics card also, and they are the market leader with the best looking designs and most powerful components.  But they should provide better customer support when things go wrong and are failing anyone who resides in the UK with a website service which doesn't work, and closing tickets before the problem has been sorted or the RMA has been sent.
    I hope you understand.

  • What MSI should do to fix MSI TV Anywhere Master !

    able Of Content for below email:
    1) context
    2) essentials on how-to definitively fix MSI TV Anyhwere Master while  natively recovering your customers long-term trusting in MSI logo.
    - - - - - -DETAILS:
    1) My neighbors have recently bought 2 pieces MSI - TV Anywhere Master tuner cards by following my latest advices.
    They both are students engaged by few media tasks in our campus to provide internal training by video samples and news broadcasts in local areas.
    One of them told me his intention to even start some anti-MSI virtual campaigns through world-wide forums against your product as a reasoned revenge for huge effort with no results during lot of time-loossing trials to setup, stabilize and properly use your MSI proprietary software and drivers (MSIPVS-WinDVR) delivered by with this product's original package.
    Now they claim as many others found on alike forums, all  money back and tens hours stress compensations from proximate shopping center cause these MSI tuner cards not working as they thought while comparing MSI product with other's alike.  It seems that MSI duped its long-term customers.
    They tested on both licensed and updated Windows 98 SE and latest Windows XP Pro (latest service packs included) but received undesirable results that we will compact them as below to suggest you what and how to fix it.
    2) Best ways to fix it :
    I. redesign all its drivers to include that MSI "secret" proprietary strings-keys requested to keep full activated your TV Anywhere Master card (CX23881-19 chipset) anytime for any other tuner/capture application (other 3rd party software like ChrisTV Pro, DScaler, PowerVCR, Virtual VCR /freeware!!!)
    Currently, all these better featured applications can setup and recognize most of your competitors alike cards (based on new 10-bit CX2388x chipset) but not yours MSI Anywhere !
    It is worst way to freeze by default your customers expectations and usage development!
    So, unlock your card by new drivers really compatible with Microsoft OSs so, nobody will complain anymore against MSI hurried & unfinished or less-featured products due to any software related issues!
    Remind that you are one of greatest HARDWARE producer not SOFTWARE, so, better provide what you are to provide!   Let others much more trained for software purposes to do it and to compete among themselves while getting much more freely alternatives to promote your cards to an wider range of users with different skills and interests.
    II. redesign MSIPVS-WinDVR's setup panel to recognize and include any codec previously installed in the system during its launching, like your competitors' above software already done it successfully !  Mostly focus on DivX for video and MP3 for sound and alike codecs which are mostly used and available today everywhere (>70%!) both licensed and freeware releases, comparing with those obsolete MPEG files!  There is no need to train yourself by own software cause you better ask people like Chris(TV Pro) to do it for you much better and cheaper!  Forgot about MPEG2 and MPEG4(yours!) cause are for nothing !  Your MPEG4 not works on others PCs while MPEG2 is no use for most customers due to large resources requirement with even lower performances than an very well-settled DivX, which needs ten times lower space!!
    Go DivX 5x and MP3 for any software based encoding purposes is the only target for your recording settings panel!
    Also for Win Producer /Win Coder which can not not administer DivX and MP3 correctly.  (ask VirtualDub to replace it cause it is working infinitely better!)
    III. channel settings and scanning must be also redesigned to get more stable and transparent to the user: add a new column with its channel frequency and a real working stable control to FINE tuning and SAVE.
    Finally, BEST is to setup a dedicated text file to save and launch all configurations within.  Anytime when push APPLY or SAVE, to write something in that file and then to read from there instead of use usually unstable system registry dynamic records.  In the same way, customer who want to fix something or really save their settings to preserve your cards and applications for unexpected failures, development etc, will be able to adjust on his own risk some settings which were not correctly settled by the application etc.
    This is to provide much more reliability to this card usage and to compensate potential bugs in future releases.
    IV. Provide an interface like above (III) to the enduser who  mostly demands to reconfigure remote control unit which is now too poor and not include essential controls like start/stop recording etc.  All remote controls to be written in a text file at also enduser disposal to modify shortcuts in order to reallocate remote control buttons to another panel controls etc.
    V. MSI-Radio tuner must have channel name (retrieved from FM table settings) displayed under the frequency and much more selectivity and real correct scanner (not use that "less stations" control).  It could be very demanded a wider range scanning from 30 MHz up to 110 MHz for many other locations.
    Both for TV channels (see MSI-PVS to provide full tuning all frequencies including manually settings each channel!)
    If it is hard to do it for Windows 98 release, provide them for XP at least but inside a better structured website than now.  In the present there are still many confusings and no stable procedure (that provided on the original CD has lot of bugs and missings risking to freeze the system!) regarding from where to download updates (too many different addresses to discover inside MSI-support site).  MSI TV Anywhere Master must have its own unique sub-site with all updates downloads included in the same page, both for drivers and for applications!   Also is a must to include WDM MS-8606 drivers instead of current ones to not receive anymore that error "nVIDIA WDM universal Capture" not found.
    Please email me and my neighbor marcellino
    ([email protected]) when demands described above will get fixed !
    Thank you in advance and wishing MSI good lock for better results!

    Exactly my thoughts.
    Probably they're even too affraid to give us some answers about how, what and where.
    I had a previous descussion about an MSI mb that wouldn't accept a 40GB Maxtor hd. My asus mb didn't have a problem with detecting it.
    Their reply was to flash to the latest bios version, which I already wrote that I did that in my e-mail to them.
    A friend of mine had the same MSI mb, guess what???   same problem. His Dell pc, no problem.
    Wrote back to MSI, waiting for 3 years now , never received an e-mail. (wrote a couple of reminders).
    I now bought this tv nowhere card and I have the same problem as many people have....     alot of sh*t ....   and not working. No refund, 0 support, users must help other users to solve certain issues, --->  10 clean versions of winXP and hours and hours of stress
    This will be the last MSI product that I will EVER buy.
