MSSQl jdbc Driver1.2 connection error in Dash Board...
Hi,
I installed OIM 9.1.0.1 with following pre-requisites, but when i using Dash Board getting error stating jdbc driver load fails.
1) Windows 2003 sp2
2) MSSQL server 2005 sp2
3) Weblogic server 10.3
4) OIM 9.1.0.1
(After installing the OIM i am unable to start the Weblogic server, so i removed realm entry from config.xml file then i can able to use the admin console of the Weblogic Server.But i am unable to log-in to the OIm admin console by using uid xelsysadm and password which i given at the time of OIM installation)
by using above components to install the OIM 9.1.0.1 i followed the PDF from http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14049_01/doc.9101/e14047/toc.htm and i downloaded the sqljdbc_1.2.2828.100_enu.exe from the site with approx size is 2.96 mb.
So please to get me out from the JDBC Driver load error saying com.miicrosoft.jdbc.sqlserver.SqlServerDriver.
Thanks and Regrads,
Santosh Akula
It sounds like you are trying to use the think (OCI) driver. Is this correct?
The OCI client installed on your machine must match the JDBC drivers you are using to connect; if you are using the default JDBC drivers shipped with JDev, you may be seeing this incompatability.
Try using the classes12.jar from your Oracle Home instead (if you are running from JDev, you can just create a new library to point to the Oracle Home JDBC driver and use that in your project instead).

(ORA-12505) JDBC - Oracle connectivity Error
Hi
Experts
I am SAP developer.
I am trying to connecting remote server through webDynpro ( SAP programming Tool.) through JDBC. I can directly get connected to Oracle server through SQL plus.
My code to establish connection is
conn =DriverManager.getConnection ("jdbc:oracle:thin:@132.132.48.4:1521:orclahd.adaniahd.com","scott", "tiger");
and i am getting exception.
java.sql.SQLException: Listener refused the connection with the following error: ORA-12505, TNS:listener does not currently know of SID given in connect descriptor The Connection descriptor used by the client was: 132.132.48.4:1521:orclahd.adaniahd.comyour database is not registered with the listener.
you need to go to the server and check the status of the listener to see if the database service is registered. If not you need to do it manually.

The eror messsage is
Incorrect name parameter jdbc:mysql://10.114.16.70:3306/kaushikb root,pass in naming operation.where root is the username and pass is the password and kaushikb is the database name.

Edited by: Taton on Dec 11, 2008 3:15 PMLet me guess: you did
getConnection("jdbc:mysql://10.114.16.70:3306/kaushikb root,pass");rather than
getConnection("jdbc:mysql://10.114.16.70:3306/kaushikb", "root", "pass"); -

MSSQL's JDBC random connection refused
I am having a random "unable to connect" error from my java application. Sometimes it's fine, apps running without any problem, but sometimes this exception comes up. I am writing this app at home and my SQL server is at office (behind a router with SPI firewall, but i have port forwarded TCP port 1433 for the connection). If I telnet to SQL server, i wont get any error message but a blank screen, it looks like the server side is waiting for my console input.

The exactly erro refers to a problems when you try upgrade from these version to 11.5.10.
Can you read this note and apply solution? The note refers a patch, but the problem is the same.
After Patch 4334965, adstrtal.sh & adstpall.sh is failing with errors [ID 360046.1]

ADF: Gracefully handling JDBC connection errors? Part II
Hi gang
I while back I posted a forum post to find a solution to "display a specific web page when the JDBC connection drops out on our ADF application, specifically the following error: oracle.jbo.DMLException: JBO-26061: Error while opening JDBC connection"
...you can see the original post here:
Re: ADF: Gracefully handling JDBC connection errors?
For the life of me I can't get this to work now. It appears I can't redirect to another page during the call to reportException. I've had a play with different methods of redirecting, as seen in the following code sample:
public class ErrorHandlerImpl extends DCErrorHandlerImpl {
public ErrorHandlerImpl() {
super(true);
@Override
public void reportException(DCBindingContainer dCBindingContainer, Exception exception) {
// try {
String message = exception.getMessage();
if (message.indexOf("JBO-26061") >= 0) {
// Method 1
FacesContext fc = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
UIViewRoot viewRoot =
fc.getApplication().getViewHandler().createView(fc, "faces/errorPage.jspx");
fc.setViewRoot(viewRoot);
fc.renderResponse();
// Method 2
// FacesContext fc = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
// fc.getApplication().getNavigationHandler().handleNavigation(fc, null, "goError");
// fc.responseComplete();
// Method 3 - required IOExcepition handler
// FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getExternalContext().redirect("faces/errorPage.jspx");
} else
super.reportException(dCBindingContainer, exception);
// } catch (IOException e) {
}... with no success.
Has anyobody any other solutions or advice on getting this to work?
Your help appreciated.
Thanks & regads,
CM.
PS. JDev 11gR1 ADF BC + ADF Faces RCHi Frank
Yep, I' tried redirect, that was method 3 (you can see all 3 methods I've attempted, last 2 are commented out).
With the declarative ADFc exception handler, problem is it's a catch all, not specifically for JBO-26061. Can you think of a way I can tailor fit it for JBO-26061 with a custom message "Database down"?
In addition the exception handler is not consistently called. As example, if you're moving between pages rather than operating on 1 page, the standard af:messages error dialog is shown if the db connection has been dropped, rather than navigating to the exception handler page. As such it seems the DCErrorHandlerImpl.reportExceptions is the better chokepoint to work from.

JDBC connection error -- unknown SID
Hello,
I am trying to run my first JDBC application (using the thin driver) -- the Oracle DMLSample example. But I am getting a connection error related to SID:

2. In case I don't remember the SID -- how can I find it?
Thanks very much!
Mark.Mark,
You asked:
What is wrong/missing in my setup?Possibly nothing. My guess is the problem is with your code. Excuse me, but I couldn't find that in your post.
You also asked:
In case I don't remember the SID -- how can I find it?In one of the data dictionary views. The Oracle documentation will tell you which one.
(I don't remember right now.)
Note, however, that the connection URL you use in JDBC may contain either the SID or the service name and you have posted the service name, namely:
(SERVICE_NAME = XE)For your information I have Oracle database express edition (XE) installed on my Windows machine. The connection URL I use to connect to the sample HR schema is:
jdbc:oracle:thin:HR/hr@//localhost:1521/XEIf you haven't already done so, I recommend reading the Oracle documentation first, in particular the JDBC User's Guide and Reference.
Good Luck,

Hi everyone,
I'm facing the following problem in a Server runing Linux with JBoss AS 4.2.2, JRE 1.6, and MSSQL Server 2005 with JDBC 2.0 (sqljdbc4.jar).
The thing is: on friday morning I started up the server and everything worked fine ... next, from Friday at 6pm to Saturday at 8am nobody has used the system.
Then on Saturday at 8:05 got the following warning lines every time I tried to do something in my application. While it seems that everything works, after a few days the system starts to decrease their performance and malfunction, so I want to know why it
might happen these warnings.
I have tried to find a solution to this problem in several places but I'm not succeeding. That's why I'm writing my problem here...
Hope somebody can help me!
Thanks in advance and best regards!
Cristian.

sqljdbc4.jar version 4.0 (released in 3/6/2012). The curious I have two equals Linux boxes and only one have presented connection reset errors.
Thanks in advance.
