Multi-choice question - go back and re-answer?

Request was to build an activity where learner is presented 4 questions each with two options. After answering the question, return to the list of 4 questions where their responses are measured accumulatively. After seeing the sum of their answers they should be able to go back into the questions and re-answer them to increase their sum.
So to accomplish this, I have 4 multi-choice slides and one 'menu' slide. the menu slide has 4 buttons to each of the question slides. Each question slide has an adv action for the on success and on failure which sets a couple variables (basically saving what their answer was). I have an On Enter adv action for the menu slide which checks this variable and display an image based on their sum.
This all works great in preview, but when I publish or preview in browswer, I'm not able to re-answer the quesion. When I return to an answered slide, the multi-choice buttons are greyed out.
I have 'allow backward movement' enabled. This is not the first quiz question in the project. Not reporting to LMS. I'm trying to avoid writing a bunch of adv actions (more than I already have) so I was hoping to use the built in question slides.

The 'works in preview, not in publish' is frustrating. Any suggestions or ideas on what's happening?

Yes, I ended up ditching the CP quiz and used a couple buttons on each slide. Mostly I was concerned about throwing out the adv actions I'd already written, but I was able to massage them with little effort to make them work.
What was happening when I was previewing, it seemed, I was jumping back to the 'menu' slide which was before the first question slide. When I'd hit that menu slide, it was essentially resetting the quiz and letting me re-answer everything. The whole interaction was 5 slides so I was easily able to use the 'preview next 5 slides' option and didn't consider that in the full project I'd be within the quiz scope.
I ended up playing with it a little to understand it better myself. I moved that 'menu' slide to slide 2 of my full project (with question #1 on slide 38) and used navigation to move back and forth. Slide 2 was outside the quiz scope and then jumped to slide 38 within the scope and it worked great.
But... that seemed like a nightmare to maintain going forward... What happens if one of my team mates has to update the project, sees that slide strangely placed and moves it? Boom - activity broken.
Anyway, again, thank you for your replies. I ended up adding 2 buttons on the slide, one for each 'answer' and attached the 'on success' and 'on last attempt' adv actions I had on the question slide to the respective buttons. Seems to all work correctly.

What I want to know, is it possible to mark partially correct questions - i.e. if there are three possible correct options in a question and the user only gets two, I want to award them 66% of the marks for that question. is that possible please and if so how?

Hi Alex,
As per the current design, Captivate won’t support partial answering for a Question Slides, if you really think that this should be there in the future versions of captivate, please file a feature request in https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=wishform&product=5?

Thanks for the question. It sounds like you wish to reset your security questions. The following resources may assist you in doing so:

Try answering them at least once to see if you can get them right, even if you are not sure you remember the answers to your security questions.

Unique Multi Camera Question. Can't Find answer.

I have an existing sequence in Adobe Premiere. I have pain stakening taken the time to line up all my cameras. Some of cameras were only running some of the time during the wedding. And others were turned on and off during the wedding. (I know...not smart) Adobe was unable to sync the audio automatically beacuse it was pretty bad on some of the cameras.
My questions is....how can I turn the difference tracks in the sequence I've already lined up into multi-camera mode. I really don't want to have to turn on/off each track to see what the best shot is and using markers will be very difficult as well.
Is there a way to do this?

Yes, I've looked at a few "Multi Cam" videos.
I don't want them to sync my audio (I've already done that), I want to turn all my tracks into multi cam. I'll try to do what Jim below says and see if it works.

Allow Users to Go Back and Change Answers

I would like to allow users to return to a previous question in a quiz and change the answer.
I've tried allowing multiple attempts, but this does not produce the desired results. I don't want users to know the results of the answer until the quiz is complete. I figured the clear button would do the job, but it doesn't. Clear only works if the user has not submitted. Any help is greatly appreciated. By the way, I'm using Captivate 5.

This is not possible with the default Question slides, but can be achieved with advanced actions and creating your own question slides. Best app to import and study multiple choice questions.

I'm searching for an app to help study for an exam.
Part of the studying strategy is to study by the previous exams questions. I have those (a lot of them) in text format.
The app would need to have:
- Support for multiple-choice questions;
- Easy, fast and automated way of importing the questions;
Would be nice to have:
- Ability to include a rich-text comment along with the right/wrong answer;
- Support for tagging each questions.

Use back button and clear advanced action and quiz answer..

OK, so I have made a quiz where the answer for each question is recorded and given in a list at the end. However, I would like the user to be able to go back and change their answer. At the moment if the user goes back, the answer is locked and they cannot chose a diiferent option.
Does anyone know if it is possible for them to go back, select a different and still have the advanced action part record the new answer?

Only way to reset the answers to a default question slides, during the same session, is to use the Retake button on the score slide (you need to have multiple attempts of course. But that will be done at Quiz level: all answers are reset.
Another option (in CP6 and later) is to use the Submit all option, then they will be able to go back and change answers. But... I suppose you are using the system variable cpQuizInfoAnswerChoice to populate user variables with those advanced actions? That system variable is not populated when Submit all is chosen.
Last option is to use remediation, but it will probably not suit you: then user can be sent to a content slide if a question is failed, be sent back to the question slide and can then change the answer. It is not just going back one or more slides.
Custom question slides will allow what you want, but they necessitate a lot more work and you will not be able to use question pools.

No. If you swiped down from the initial Siri input screen, and only saw the one conversation, then that is all there is to see. Again, not sure how long it stays there for. I just checked my iPhone again, and I can still see the info from the last conversation, which included several questions and answers. Looks like it saves all of the Q&A from the previous conversation.
So, if you have made multiple requests and gotten multiple results, you can see all of those. But it appears to need to be all in one conversation with Siri.

I need to be able to let individuals move back and forward through quiz questions after they have answered them without the need to re-answer the question.

I should have been a bit more specific and provided an example...
Question 1 and 2 are answered correctly and feedback box is shown each time - they then get stuck on question 3 so need to use the back button to go back through past the answered questions to the main information screens to find the answer and then need to use the forward navigation button to move back to the third question this will result in them moving through question 1 and 2 however we do not want them to answer these again.
The individual must answer every question correctly to pass the course.

I've read that other people have done this and re-imported back to iTunes. Here's the question I submitted. When I get my iPod back in order I am gonna backup the iPod_Control folder .
