Multiple addressbooks appear to crash our contacts integration

Hello everyone,
We appear to have a little bit of an odd problem.
We have some contacts integration using the typical sort of stuff:
ABAddressBookRef addressBook = ABAddressBookCreate();
CFIndex addressBookCount = ABAddressBookGetPersonCount(addressBook);
CFArrayRef all = ABAddressBookCopyDefaultSource(addressBook);
all = ABAddressBookCopyArrayOfAllPeopleInSourceWithSortOrdering(addressBook, all, kABPersonSortByLastName);
However, if we run our code on a device with more than one addressbook it falls over with an EXCBADACCESS on attempting to define an NSString of one of the values:
for (int i = 0; i < addressBookCount; i++) {
ABRecordRef ref = CFArrayGetValueAtIndex(all, i);
NSString *lastName = (NSString *)ABRecordCopyValue(ref, kABPersonLastNameProperty); // FAILS HERE
It seems perfectly happy on other devices that do not have multiple addressbooks, has anyone come across this before?

Hi K T,
Thanks for your suggestion but unfortunately it didn't tell us anything we didn't already know, that it's an EXCBADACCESS error on our addressbook code.
Any other ideas please?
