Multiple button clicks

Howdy guys and gals. Got a demo I wokring on, and trying to
show off a key point in the demo. I have a button with a succes
caption thats transparent, that is holding audio. The audio is
feedback that you get in our product. Now when I play the demo and
get to the slide you can only hit it once. Is there a way to get it
to play more than once? Thanks for any suggestion.

One way to do this is by inserting a very brief slide
immediately before the slide with the button. Then configure the
button to point at the previous slide. The net effect should be
that your user clicks the button, the sound plays, the previous
slide briefly displays and immediately returns to the slide with
the button. Where you should be able to merrily repeat the process.

I am writting a test using a sequencer to test for multiple button click

I'm using flex sdk 4.1 and have a situation where a button click is sometimes called twice. I am writting a test for this using a sequencer and it will run for at least one button click, what I am not sure is how to test for multiple click events(which shouldn't happen, but occours randomly in my project)

The only way you could test for that type of circumstance... one where something may happen... is to do so with a timeout. In other words, you cannot let the test pass simply because the first event occurred.
Two ways to handle this... with sequences:
Instead, you write a test that expects 2 clicks. In the assertion handler (which would only be reached if both clicks occur) you would fail the test:
fail('i shouldnt be here');
In the Waiter for the 2nd click, you would specify a timeout handler. That timeout handler will get called in the 2nd click does not occur in the specified time... (finding that time is the hard part). The default timeout handler fails the test, however, in your case, your timeout handler would just happily do any assertions needed and move on. A timeout does not necessarily mean failure... in your case, it is correct
Second choice:
You could create a timer. Create an event handler for the button click which increments a counter. Start the timer, do your test. However, have your test pending on the timer's completion rather than something like the click.. In that case, you would then be able to just check the count:

However, I can't imagine how the test you are describing could ever yield more than one click event... I am guessing the problem is elsewhere, but this will help you verify

Ignore Multiple Button Clicks

My front panel consists of a "Latch when released" button and a numeric indicator. The [0] "Boolean" Value Change is the only event in the structure.
If I click the button twice quickly (within 500ms), a second "Value Change" event queues and executes after the first.
How can I ignore "Value Change" events that occur while executing other events?

Another option that also adds some UI feedback is to set the Busy Cursor. This prevents clicks, and alerts user that the program is cranking:

How to submit data from multiple Input Ports in single SUBMIT button click

I am in SPS8.
What exactly steps I need to perform to submit data from multiple Input Ports.
I couldn't able to submit One input Form and one Input Table to BAPI data service in single SUBMIT button click.
I debugged the VC application in SPS8.
While debugging, I found that when I click the SUBMIT button in the Input Form, Only data in that Input
form are being passed to the BAPI, But not the Table Form data.
If I click on the SUBMIT button in another Input Table, Only data from that table is being passed to the BAPI, but not the Input form data.
Essentially I need to submit both of them in one SUBMIT button.

From the word document that you sent to me the steps you are missing to map the appropriate information into the BAPI is first you are not mapping all data rows into the table input port. To do this double click on the input table view and change your selection mode from single to multiple. Then when you click on your link between the BAPI and your input table you will see a new option appears under data mapping "Mapping Scope" select All Data Rows.
That's the first part of the problem to get the BAPI to recognize both the inputs coming from the form and the table eliminate the submit button from the form. Drag and drop a link from the output port of the table view to the Input port of the BAPI. Double click on the link between the BAPI and the table view and open the expressions editor for the two fields:
1/ Automatic Source
2/ SKIP_ITEMS_WITH_ERROR
On the hierarchical folder structure on the right expand expand the Data Fields node to find the fields from the form and map them accordingly.
Now when you hit the submit button on your table it should pass the BAPI all the parameters from both the form and the table.

How to open multiple report windows on button click without losing session?

I am trying to open multiple discoverer plus report windows using my ADF application.
My requirement is that user has to select multiple reports from the screen and by clicking on submit button all the reports should be opened in different windows.
1) Below link provided me the the first solution but I can't go with it because my page is jsff and in jsff it doesn't support form tag.

2) RichGoButton also provide targetFrame property but there is not action property in it so I can't call backing bean method with RichGoButton
3) I have tried to open report windows using javascript window.open with ExtendedRenderKitService but on discoverer side it giving error message that Discoverer Plus cannot attach same session to multiple request.
4) I have created one jsp page in the same folder where my jsff is kept in my ADF application and on submit button click I have launch this jsp page using afConetxt.launchDialog and in jsp scriplet I have written response.sendRedirect to report url but here all report are getting open properly to seperate windwos but my ADF application session is getting timeout so after clicking on submit button it will automatically goes to login page it cann't stay with the current page.
Hoe you have understnad my problem and please provide me if you know any other solution aprart from above mentioned 4 solutions

Multiple Buttons in JTable Headers: Listening for Mouse Clicks

I am writing a table which has table headers that contain multiple buttons. For the header cells, I am using a custom cell renderer which extends JPanel. A JLabel and JButtons are added to the JPanel.
Unfortunately, the buttons do not do anything. (Clicking in the area of a button doesn't appear to have any effect; the button doesn't appear to be pressed.)
Looking through the archives, I read a suggestion that the way to solve this problem is to listen for mouse clicks on the table header and then determine whether the mouse clicks fall in the area of the button. However, I cannot seem to get coordinates for the button that match the coordinates I see for mouse clicks.
The coordinates for mouse clicks seem to be relative to the top left corner of the table header (which would match the specification for mouse listeners). I haven't figured out how to get corresponding coordinates for the button. The coordinates returned by JButton.getBounds() seem to be relative to the top left corner of the panel. I hoped I could just add those to the coordinates for the panel to get coordinates relative to the table header, but JPanel.getBounds() gives me negative numbers for x and y (?!?). JPanel.getLocation() gives me the same negative numbers. When I tried JPanel.getLocationOnScreen(), I get an IllegalComponentStateException:

Can someone tell me how to get coordinates for the button on the JTableHeader? Or is there an easier way to do this (some way to make the buttons actually work so I can just use an ActionListener like I normally would)?

How to use one pop up window for multiple buttons and input fields?

I have created a pop up window that will be opened from multiple buttons in the same view. There are input fields that the data will be populated from a pop up window. How can I set up which button that a pop up window is opened from? I also would like to populate the data from a pop up window to the input field next to a clicked button. There are 6 buttons and 6 input fields that share the same pop up window. I would very appreciate your responses.

Hi,
Try creating 2 context attributes, one in your component controller and the other in the pop-up view. Bind the attribute of pop-up view to the component controller attribute.
In the main view, on click of every button set a unique code in the controller's context which helps you in identifying the button clicked. Since u have created a binding to the pop-up view attribute the value flows from the controller.
In the init method of your pop-up view, check the value of the attribute and based on that display which ever UI elements are required.
Eg:
On Button 1 click set value "B1", Button 2 value "B2" etc. In the init() of pop-up view u can check the values and perform the required operation:

How can I display a new scene in JavaFX 2.2? For example after button click

You can change the scene by calling stage.setScene(new Scene(newContentParent));
I don't think you are quite asking for a complete scene change though as you "want the main window and the scene in one stage". The main window is a stage (as Stage extends Window). And a given stage can only contain one scene at a time (though you can swap it out by calling setScene as described earlier).
What I think you are really asking for how can you replace some content part of the active Scene on the Stage. To do that you can set a layout manager like a HBox or a BorderPane as the root of your scene, then change out the content of the layout manager. For example:

Joe is right, you will need to use build array to add plots to the previous one. Specifically, you can refer to the XY Graph.vi which demonstrates a couple different methods for graphing multiple plots to an XY Graph.

How prevent simultaneous execution of multiple button threads?

My AS 3 program has multiple buttons. Users can select one and then immediately select another and this causes 2 threads that collide. Once one button is executing, I want the other buttons to ignore clicks.
I've tried using a lock:Boolean to indicate a button is being processed. Each button checks lock. My logic is such that when the AS 3 processor detects a locked condition, it abandons execution of that button. However, surprisingly, it abandons execution only termporarily ... once the the boolean is unlocked, AS 3 comes back and executes the button.
The problems are twofold: 1) the first time the 2nd button attempts to execute (by checking lock), when it returns (from checking lock) and attempts to pick up processing where it left off, it seems to forget where it was and does not utlimately complete its task(s); possibly variables have been altered, it is difficult to say. That is, AS 3 is unable to successfully pickup where it left off on the first button.
2) the second problem is that AS 3 incorrectly returns to button 2 after the lock condition is cleared. It persists and will execute that button.
Can anyone tell me how once one button is selected, the others can be locked out and won't execute?? Multiple threads from these buttons is a problem.

dmennenoh - OK. The downside to that type of solution is that each button has to "know" which other buttons are on the stage at that time, but, yes, that should work. Do you think turning their visibility off would or would not be as effective as removing the event listeners? I'm thinking turning visiblity on or off is simpler and simpler to manage. Thanks for your help.

Multiple buttons for a given validation

I want the same validation to be done on the click of two buttons. In the "Conditional Validation Processing", I see we can
"select a button" which allows us to select only one button.
How can I select multiple buttons for a given validation?
Is there a way or do I need to create another validation for the second button.
Please advice.

When you submit a page with a button the "request" value is set to the button name (not the displayed button label). After-submit events can check the request using :REQUEST or v('REQUEST') so you can build a condition like: :REQUEST in ('APPLY','CREATE')..or you can use a built-in condition type that checks the request value like 'Request is Contained within Expression 1'.

Notes interaction pauses slide that contains multiple buttons

I have several slides, each with a Notes Interaction. As advised, each of the notes is set to Rest of Project and are not resized.
On the slides with a Notes Interaction, there are multiple buttons made out of Smart Objects. When a button is clicked, an advanced action causes a certain text caption to appear.
The problem is that the buttons work UNTIL the Notes Interaction appears on the slide. As soon as the Notes Interaction appears, the slide seems to be paused and the buttons that are supposed to show text captions no longer work.
I'm hoping that someone can help with a solution to this.
By the way, this only seems to happy when previewing in HTML web browser.

I had replied in an earlier thread that you need to have ONLY ONE notes interaction in the entire project - Not on every slide. The interaction is designed to be placed only once inside a project. So, placing it in the first slide of your project and setting 'Rest of Project' on it should cater to your need.
You can choose slide notes or project based notes in the edit panel of the interaction.
